Upon seeing the miniature, tiny kicking legs of the toddler along with the two long, bushy, raggedy furred tails belonging to the small boy protruding from the small engine hatch, panic, confusion and dread coursed through the minds of the two robots and one human, like water would pass through a small mountain stream.

Without even thinking, Robotnik immediately moved forwards towards the tiny fox, worry very clearly present on his face. His white, gloved hands reaching for the little kit, wanting to reach him as swiftly as possible.

"Oh no! Kid don't do that that's dangerous you'll-."

VRRROOOOOMMMM!

A deep, rumbling, mechanical noise ripped through the small forest clearing, and then mere seconds after that powerfully loud noise, the rapid clanking movement of servos and the low thrum of anti-gravity generators could be heard.

Orbot, Cubot and Robotnik looked on in shock as the small fox squeezed himself out of the small hatch, and slowly turning to face them, a large amount of soot and even a tad few droplets of engine oil along with a couple of other vaguely hazardous chemicals were clinging to his already manky and unkempt fur like pollen to a bee.

The kid's soot encrusted face looked rather bashful and shy and his tails slightly curled around him and his once perky ears slightly flattened against his skull, and he nervously said,

"S-sorry, I just s-saw that y-your engine was broken and I-I just wanted to see what was wrong and f-f-fixed it."

Robotnik's jaw dropped, how on Earth did this…this…todder understand how to repair a broken engine and anti-gravity drive, let alone know what they were called and what they did to begin with.

"H-How on Earth did you-."

"I-I used t-to find magazines and b-books in the a-al-alley, I r-read the o-ones with p-pictures f-first, u-until I st-stopped and r-read the ones without pictures and t-that were just…words, I r-really liked the o-ones with p-planes in them. I l-like learning about planes…"

Orbot and Cubot were just as surprised as their master and creator, even if it didn't show on their mechanical faces. However for Orbot, an intense feeling of pride grew in his CPU and he approached the slightly nervous kit and placed a hand on his shoulder,

"Well done Miles! We never knew you were such a little genius. You must be 10% fox 90% brain."

Even under the thick amount of soot that caked his face, Miles could feel a blush grow on his face and he gave a small, shy grin, however he was not expecting to be scooped off of his feet and into the arms of the large human.

Robotnik gently stroked the tiny fox's unkempt fur, wanting to make sure that the little boy was as comfortable as possible, he had been completely unaware of this boy's engineering genius, it was extraordinary especially considering the toddler's age. He couldn't have been any older than 3, and yet he had an understanding of the works of machines better than most adults did. He was a phenomenon packed into the body of a tiny fox, it was curious and he wanted to see…what else the toddler could do.

"That was incredible Miles, y'know what…I think we're going to get along just fine, now let's take you somewhere a lot more comfortable than this, Orbot! Cubot!, We're leaving."

Miles, lightly snuggled into the Doctor's arms as Robotnik gently clambered into the driver's seat, of the still relatively damaged but now working Eggmobile, Orbot and Cubot swiftly following and sitting down next to him, the little kit's ears perked up when he heard the doctor quietly whisper,

"Hold on tight Miles, you don't want to hurt yourself…"

The little fox however was too tired to do anything more than sink into the Doctor's arms and close his baby blue eyes, it had been an extremely long and eventful day and in the little toddler's opinion a warm pair of arms were a much cosier place to sleep than a large pile of rubbish and old newspaper.

Robotnik lightly smiled as he saw how sleepy the little fox was and how he curled up tightly in his arms, the little thing barely noticed the noise and feel of the anti gravity drives kick in and the Eggmobile taking off into the sky. And soon enough he could hear tiny little snores coming from the fox.

He then pressed one small red button with a symbol showing a shield, servos within the ships began to thrum and whirr as a large, thick glass dome rose out of the sides of the small vehicle and surrounded the cockpit of the vessel. A very tight high pitched escape of steam could be heard as the vehicle became completely vacuum sealed and slowly, ever so slowly the vehicle began to rise into the sky.

…...

(3 Hours later)

Miles slowly drifted back into consciousness, the little kit being awoken by Robotnik quietly whispering into his ear,

"Miles? Miles we've arrived, wake up little one…"

The tiny fox let out a small yawn, it had been the best nap of his entire life. However when he opened his eyes, what he saw almost made him scream.

The small vehicle that he, Robotnik and Orbot and Cubot were in was…in space, he looked frantically around and he could see the relatively large, blue and green orb that was Mobius on the left side of the large window. However what was on the other was something else entirely…

"I-Is that the moon?" he asked with fright, staring at the large object that hung in the void of space.

"Oh Miles…that's no moon…That's your new home." Robotnik responded, looking down to smile at the small kit, who rather bashfully smiled back, he was visibly nervous but that didn't faze the doctor as they drew closer.

The structure before them was colossal, it had to be multiple kilometres if not multiple miles in width and height and was seemingly constructed in the image of the Doctor who was holding him in one arm, but the thought of it being his new home…well that was an exciting yet at the same time a terrifying one, he had never been to space and from what he had read from those old and damaged books, it was a dangerous and unpredictable place where it would be a great challenge to survive, but the thought of that mighty space station being his home?

Well it made him excited for the future and what would happen, nobody knows but he would face it and hopefully…he would be fine.
