Consider that the path you were once on was meant to end when it did. Obsessing about plans lost or changed is a barrier to holistic wealth because it keeps you stuck in the past and unable to move forward.

Joey closed her eyes as Jen put her makeup on. She felt Daisy watching carefully as Jen put the eye shadow and eyeliner on. She heard the five year old ask "What's the purpose of that?" And Jen answered back to make her eyes pop out more. It had been the question her daughter asked for the hundredth time since they started. Joey always thought if she had a daughter she would be more wild and definitely a Tom boy but not her daughter she was definitely a girly girl.

Jen then told Joey to open her eyes and Joey look in the mirror to see a natural look on her face and her hair curled a little. She liked it and with her red dress that covered all her red curves it really worked for her.

"Mommy, you look pretty." Daisy said as she looked at Joey.

"You think so?"

Daisy nodded her head over and over again. Joey laughed and was about to kiss her daughter's cheek when Jen stopped her.

"No, no. Don't ruin the look."

Joey rolled her eyes and then heard a knock on the apartment door. "Can I get it?" Daisy asked.

"Sure, you can. I have to put on my shoes." Joey said as she got her high heels.

Pacey nervously tuck in his tie that always seem too tight for his neck. He wasn't surprised to see Daisy was the one answering the door since Joey knew he was coming over.

"Hey,baby." He said as she smiled at the sight of him. "Hi, Daddy." Daisy said with a blush on her cheeks.

"Mommy, ready?" Pacey said as he scooped his daughter up and walked inside the apartment.

"She just needs to put on her shoes." Daisy said as she tried her best to straighten his tie.

Joey then walked out and he about drop his daughter by how gorgeous she looked. He looked about how her body moved towards him and he tried his best not to drool on the sight of her.

"Doesn't she look pretty, Daddy?" Daisy said and he almost jump from forgetting he was even carrying her in his arms.

"She looks gorgeous." He told her and Daisy nodded her head. As Joey blushed and pushed back her hair behind her ear.

"Thank you." She whispered and she looked at Pacey whose tie was crooked. As he set Daisy down Joey walked over and fixed his tie. "There you go." She whispered and when she looked over at him she could feel her face turned red by the way he looked at her.

Pacey cleared his throat as he pointed to the door. "Shall we?"

"We shall." Joey agreed.

"Bye sweetheart." Joey said as she kissed her daughter with the side eye from Jen who shook her head from knowing she rubbed off the lipstick. Joey gave her jacket and then watched as Pacey and Daisy said goodnight. She had a good feeling about tonight.

A hour later, Joey was sitting at the table while Pacey flirted with the woman sitting next to him. She rolled her eyes as she tried to get her shoe from under the table. She could feel her foot almost there but she couldn't seem to get it just right. She eventually gave up trying to reach the shoes, and begin crawling under the table to grab it. When she reaches it, she turns to crawl out and to see that the woman Pacey was talking to had her hand on Pacey's inner thigh.

Joey could feel herself turn red as she hit her head on the table. She could see Pacey's feet shift and then she heard him excuse himself from the woman as Joey got up. Pacey grabbed his hand towards her arm pulling her up as he looked at him with a stone look on his face.

"Darlin', I don't mean to pry, but... would you mind telling me just what the hell it is you're doing down there?" He asked her. Joey glared at Pacey and back at the woman who was smiling at another man.

"It depends. Would you mind telling me what that girl's hand is doing knee-deep on your lap?" Joey snapped and she saw Pacey's eyes blink as if he didn't know what she was talking about.

"Excuse me?" He asked.

"You heard me. Or perhaps you'd like me to involve the entire table, 'cause I'm sure her date would at least be marginally interested."

"Ok, great. You've made your point. Which is what, exactly?"

"Pacey... I want to go home. Now. I'm tired, I'm cranky so maybe you could just skip the subtleties and get her phone number?" Joey snapped and Pacey rubbed her arm and sat up more as he look at the woman next to him with a smile who smiled back at him.

"Alright, calm ." He said as he was about to sit upright when he heard Joey say. "She thinks I am your sister?!"

Pacey dropped his fork on the side where Joey was and Joey pulled down by his arm.

"Joey, Did I not mention to you what a wonderful networking opportunity this was for me?"

"Yes. That's how you suckered me into coming in the first place, but you know what? We've networked, we've schmoozed, and unless you take me home now, as in right now, I think little miss thing over there isn't going to be so interested when she sees your sister lean over the table and give you the tongue kissing of your life."

Pacey stared at the women in front of him and gave her a half smile. Oh, how badly he wanted her to give him a tongue kiss of his life. But he stared at her, and knew better than not to. He asked her to go with him tonight since he didn't have anyone else to go to. But if he knew one thing better than anything he knew he needed to get laid. Immediately.

"5 minutes. We'll leave in 5 minutes." Pacey said in a calm voice. He watched her smile form and nodded and he turned to the woman next to him. While Joey went under the table.

"Well, everything seems to be fine down there. Sisters. You know?" Pacey said with a chuckle.

Joey could hear Pacey under the table as she grabbed her shoe. She tried not to focus on his voice, but she couldn't help and rolled her eyes at him.

"Yeah, and Well, look, I don't want beat around the bush. You seem like a nice guy."

"So then you wouldn't mind if I called you? "

"Sure. You could call me, I could call you, or I could ditch my date, and you could ditch your...sister."

Pacey chuckled at this but not to dare mention how his "sister" and him had a five year old daughter together. He smiled at her and the nodded his head.

"I'll meet you here in a hour?" He asked.

"Great."

"Great." He said as he watched her giggle and walk away as Joey appeared. He felt the guilt suit him as he watched her come up. She put her shoe on and Pacey watch not rush so maybe he could there quicker to the k-mart done the street.

When they were driving, the car was quiet as Joey messed with the radio. Pacey didn't press it, he couldn't probably get to the k-mart and drop Joey home faster rather then make he annoyed about the radio. But when he missed the exit that got her attention back to the road rather than the radio.

"Pacey, wasn't that turn we just sped past the way out of these godforsaken suburbs?"

"Yes, it was, but you and I are gonna be making a little pit stop."

"Pit stop? Oh, no. Perhaps I didn't impress upon you the importance of me being home, in bed, and out of these ridiculous clothes as soon as possible. I have an entire book to read before Hetson's class."

"Ok, simmer down. This is gonna delay you, like, 2 minutes."

Joey gave him the side eye as she watch him pull. He turned off the car and got out. But it wasn't long before Joey came behind him. She was one having to use the restroom really badly and two she was scared of being in the back of parking lot along.

"What do you need, anyway?" She asked as she walked behind him.

"Uh, you don't have to come with me. You can wait in the car."

"You're seriously expecting me to wait out here while you're traipsing around the world's largest superstore?"

"Right."

"Wrong! It's cold, it's scary, and if you must know, I have to use the bathroom."

Pacey stopped and looked at her in awe. "How could you possibly have to go to the bathroom two minutes ago, you didn't even want to stop."

"How could you possibly have to go to the bathroom 2 minutes ago, you didn't even want to stop."

"Blame it on your kid who messed up my bladder but do you want to argue about this, or shall we continue the 10-mile trek to the front of the store?"

"Alright, I parked so far just in case those morons wreck my car with those carts, you do want to go home. Don't you?"

"Yes but you didn't have to park so far." Joey said with an eye roll.

When they did make it to the door, Pacey tried opening it but it wouldn't open. He slammed his head against the window and then looked at Joey.

"Noo." Pacey said

"Great it's closed." Joey said as she side eyed him.

"It can't be closed. There's still people inside." Pacey said with his face still on the window.

Joey and Pacey then saw a security guard letting a few customers out. Then the guard started to yell at the boys who were pushing the carts around. The guard then started running towards them to get them to stop. Pacey did a fake yawn moving his hands towards the door and holding it open for Joey and him to get inside.

Joey started to say she was going to go to bathroom but Pacey quickly stopped her by nodding his head and telling her he knew where she was going. Pacey went over to the condo-m section looking at them as a Employee walked over.

"Um…were gonna be closing soon…"

"Ok."

Pacey then grabs three packs and looks over at the young boy employee who was staring at him.

"Very nice." The young boy said and walked away. Pacey couldn't help shaking his head with a laugh and then walk to the register but when he saw Joey he quickly put the packs in his pockets. Hoping and praying she didn't and wouldn't see them.

"There you are. Come on. Let's"

"Uh, I… could you just hold on for one seconds?"

"No. I need you?"

"Need me for what? You can't go to the toilet by yourself?"

"Yes. That's exactly it."

"What? you just-"

"No. I can't. And why were you at the laundry section?"

"Ok, ok. Let's go."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. You just have to ask the right way. You know?" Pacey said as he put his hand on her lower back and guided her to the bathroom.

"You're so bossy!" Joey said with an eye roll.

Pacey was standing out the men's bathroom cause the women's was tapped out. Joey then comes out and Pacey pushes himself off the wall he was leaning on.

"You know even our five year old daughter can go to the restroom on her own in the men if I told her that was the only option."

Joey gave Pacey a stern look and shook her head.

"Pacey, the outer door doesn't lock. Somebody could've walked in at any point?"

"So?"

"So.. stall-to-stall chatting with strange men in public bathrooms isn't really a life experience I need to have, thank you."

"Who is going to walk in? There nobody here. And the whole store's gonna close in five minutes anyhow."

Right as he said that all the lights begin to turn off and Pacey and Joey ran to the front doors. They could see the guard and other employees getting into their cars outside. Joey told Pacey to yell and they both started to hit the door and yell.

Pacey tried to bash the door open but without success. Joey put her hand on his back to get him to stop and he did by the touch of her which only made him want to get out of there even more because he thought about the blonde woman that was going to replace his feeling he had when he looked at Joey in that dress and the perfect amount of makeup to make her eyes glow.

"Pacey!" Joey yelled. One more bang and then he stopped. "Ok, you know what? We need to think logically."

"Right."

"Well..this one's locked."

The two went back into the store and checked all the door and then separated ways to see if they could find a phone.

A few minutes later, Pacey walked back over to Joey who was about the register. "Hey any luck?"

"They're not real phones."

"What do you mean, they're not real phones."

Joey's voice echo through the whole store and then rolled her eyes.

"They're just intercoms. We can call house wares, but we can't communicate with the outside world which means if anything happens to Daisy we will not know about it til the morning or when we get out of here. Please tell me you found some kind of a back door or something."

"No. Well, not one that we can open. Do you have your phone on you?"

"In my purse."

"Great."

"In the car."

Pacey and Joey had an a moment of silence as they try to figure out to do. But shortly, they look at one another and said at the same time. Pay phones!

The two rushed over to the break room while Joey talked to the police station and Pacey sits at a table waiting for her.

"No, officer. Not.. stuck, like, in the snow, stuck, as in locked in." Joey explained and put her fingers on her temples rubbing the pressure that was now on her nose. "No. Nobody's life is in danger. But please do not put me back on hold-"

Pacey then got up to stand next to her. "Ok, fine. That's it. Just hang up. We'll call 911."

"Pace, we cant call 911."

"Sure we can. Just got to hit the buttons and say we are stuck!"

"Pacey, we're stuck in a giant barn like structure with massive quantities of food, clothing, and all the latest in home video equipment. How does that qualify as an emergency? I mean, are we in some sort of a danger I'm unaware of?"

"Yes. We're in danger of getting you home late to Dais."

"She is sleeping over at Jen's tonight so she wouldn't even be home. Plus, since when do you care?"

"About what?"

"Getting me home on time?"

Pacey paused looking at her face to tell of she was serious or not. "Since.. forever. I don't want you to lax in your studies. There's important homework to be done, books to be read…"

Joey laughed. "Good to know how you will motivate Daisy with her studies."

"Hey, I can motivate with her studies. I can be good at that. When she gets to kindergarten in August she will be so good at it she will make the others Dad jealous and the Moms all over me!" Pacey said.

"Shut up, its ringing."

"Ok. Good. I'll have you home in no time."

"Or we'll rot here. It transferred me to some sort of automated response system. "Press one to file a complain about noise. Press 2 for traffic violations." Here. You listen."

She hands Pacey the phone as she walked behind him with her arms crossed suddenly feeling cold."

"Can I have your coat. I'm freezing. It's freezing in here."

"My coat? What's wrong with your coat?"

"Mine just looks nice. It wasn't intended to keep anyone warm, especially not someone wearing only a thin layer of silk."

"Ok, this for a second." Pacey said and handed Joey the phone. He put his coat onto her and he felt the warmth of her skin and as she gave him a weak smile it took all of him to not take her the table and show the main reason why he couldn't and shouldn't and wouldn't be alone with her.

He felt himself step away as she handed back the phone. Joey started to walk away from him and he watched her for a moment as she started talking to him. "Thank you. I think you should press zero, see if we can get a real person back on the line. You don't have any gloves, do you?"

"No I didn't bri-" Pacey started to say but then got someone on the other line. Joey reached into his pocket looking for gloves when she felt a box. She could hear her heart beating as she look at the box to see the condoms. She tap him on the shoulder but he wouldn't look at her.

"What?"

"Are these yours?" She asked in a calm voice.

"Those?"

"Yeah. These...prophy lactics I found in your pocket."

"Oh… those. Uh yeah. Actually they are-"

Pacey couldn't finished her sentence because Joey started to Interrupt him. "This is why we stopped? Pacey, we're stuck in here because you had some pressing need for birth control?"

Pacey put his head back suddenly feeling tension in his neck although he was only twenty-three. "Yes, ok? Because that's the kind of Responsible guy that I am. But seeing as this doesn't look like we're gonna get here anytime soon, is probably a moot point."

Joey started to laugh as she slammed the birth control on the table. Pacey started to talk on the phone as he hear the other person talking on the phone. When he hung up, he looked at Joey who was glaring at him.

"It's that girl from the party, right?"

"Yes." Pacey whispered then shook his head as he suddenly realize how guilty he was feeling. "But I don't want to talk to you about this?"

"Oh why? Because you don't want to talk about sex with me? Pacey the reason we have our daughter, you know five years ago where you forgot to pull out. Yeah that was because of sex."

"Alright, Alright." He said as he covered his face in his hands. Suddenly feeling like this was going to be the longest night of his life.

"Pacey, I mean you didn't think she would ruin my entire night?"

"Well, you came in?"

"What did you except me to stay out there in the cold and having to pee?"

Pacey rolled his eyes. "Jo, come on. Can't we just move pass this for once? I mean yes I came for condoms. But you and I both don't want to talk about this. In fact, that is what makes coparent work so well for the both of us. We just don't talk about our sex life. I may be having it, you well you maybe thinking about having it but it doesn't mean we talk about. It is the whole secret of this friendship we have going on."

"Ok, so basically what you're saying is that the only way you and I can continue being friends is if we lie to each other about our sex lives... if we take that whole giant aspect of our lives and just... pretend like it doesn't exist?"

"It worked for you and Dawson."

Joey opened her mouth in shocked and in hurt she couldn't even begin to believe what just came out of Pacey's mouth.

"What!? What did you say?"

"I said-"

"I heard what you said. I just can't quite believe my ears."

"Well, is there anything essentially untrue about that statement?"

Joey chuckled and then nervously pushed back her hair. "N-…No."

"No, then what's the problem?"

"Pacey, did it ever occur to you that maybe I don't want to live my life this way... that maybe I have grown up?"

"Have you?"

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"It means, simply put, that you don't care who I sleep with. I could've had s*x with that woman on the table right next to you, and you wouldn't have even batted an eyelash." Pacey felt his anger raising in him but watched as Joey's eyes begin to fill with sorrow and anger all at once.

"Pacey, we moved on. I don't need to get jealous because we had different lives. You went with Audrey and move on for a while and I went with Dawson. We have a daughter who needs us to be on good terms rather than argue about a high school relationship. Life goes on, no matter how ungratifying that may be for your male ego."

"This is not about my ego."

" No? Really. Then what is it about? I mean, why would you want to go back there? Why would you want to go back down that long road that only ends with you and I arg-"

"I know where this road ends."

"Then what good can come of it? Tell me. I mean, why do you all of the sudden what to revisit.. something that is better left-"

The phone started to ring and Joey and Pacey stared at one another not wanting to speak in fear that the last six years of their lives would suddenly go away just like that.

"Well, are you gonna answer that, or are we gonna finish this?" Joey asked that filled the silence in the room.

"We could live for a thousand years and we would never finish this." Pacey said and answered the phone. For only him to realize that this argument was going nowhere. That he would be stuck with Joey in a big K-Mart till morning time. That means he has to make up for being an as to him. The two parted ways as they explore the K-mart.

Joey started to walked towards the book bin to see if she could find the book she was reading. As she did she found the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas the book she was reading as a movie. That's when she heard a loud shrieking noise as she look around she heard Pacey's voice.

"Joey Potter, you're needed in electronics. Joey Potter to electronics, please."

Joey slowly made her way to the electronic department to see all of them having Pacey's face on it.

"Is this thing on?" He asked and then look into the camera realizing it was. "Ok, well. If you could just step closer, and don't worry, I'm not gonna bite. I come in peace. Look, you and I are going to be here for a long while. So I think it's best if we don't kill each other like we were trying to do all our childhood and just get along. We need to be adults and put our worries and anger aside and focus on just being here til the store opens. You know better than anything that I am indeed an as but we leave the past in the past and try to make out the most of this bad situation."

Joey smiled at the televisions while laughing and smirking at how he is trying to make up for this situation.

"But I digress. I brought you something. Well I didn't really buy you something but its down there on the counter."

Joey looked over on the counter with a smile as she saw a purple star pjs hanging up with bunny slippers.

"I'm not sure what your size is anymore. But we can always exchange but if you accept my proposal you will have at your disposal for a limited time only the ability to make me do one thing I really don't want to do. Which I mean you and Daisy even have that power over me almost all the time so there is no surprise if I give it. But I kind of figure since you didn't want to do something like this little work event, I would do something I really don't want to do. Which is what friends that coparent are for. Ok? Over and Out."

Pacey started to walk over to Joey who smirked at him and then said. "I know what I want."

She took his hand as she drag him within the aisles.

"Shouldn't I be getting you out of those clothes."

"Later."

Pacey sighed as he shook his head. Wondering how in the world he ended up here.

"Well, would you mind telling me where it is-"

"Later."

"I thought you said those shoes were killing you."

Joey then found the razor aisle and stopped as Pacey shook his head. Joey gave him a look as she handed him a razor and shaving cream.

"No." He said giving it back to her.

"You said "one thing," Pacey."

"I said one thing that would help you." Pacey stated. "How does changing my physical appearance help you?"

"Believe me, if I don't have to look at that thing on your face anymore, I will consider myself helped. Here." She said while handing the razor and the shaving cream.

"You're really gonna make me do this?"

"Yeah, and I think Daisy would help if she was here to do so as well."

"Hmm.. I thought Daisy like my beard."

"Pace, I hate to break it to you but that's not a beard that's a goatee."

Pacey circle himself around her. Causing Joey to be dizzy from watching him. "After all we've been through together. So this is what it comes down to, does it?"

"Mhmm."

"Ok, but I want you to know one thing. I'm not gonna go down without a fight."

"Please!"

Pacey then started running away from her and Joey couldn't help but laugh.

"Aah!" Joey yelled while running after him but shortly lost sighed of him and started walking around for him.

"Pacey?"

"You're really only delaying the inevitable."

Pacey sneaks past behind her but then a rack got in his way and he ended up falling onto her because of a rack and the two were face to face, body to body, and eye to eye with one another. Joey smirked as she looked at him. When he looked at Joey all he saw was his daughter. The actions they had were so alike along with the way, they looked at him when they known they had won. If Daisy was here right now he would have probably gave in but he had to be stronger than that. He would not let Joey Potter win.

But she look at him with that puppy dog eyes and the pouted lip he knew she would win.

"Jo, don't give me that look. I have grow more since the last time-"

He stop shortly as she sprayed the shaving cream on her face but it was so easy to take what she had sprayed onto him and put onto her face as well. She let out a dark laugh as she continued to spray it onto him. But he quickly got up and ran away getting another way on his own.

He hide behind an aisle til she came around the corner and he spray the shaving cream right onto her.

"Pacey!" She yelled but sprayed it onto him as he laughed and ran away. They continue doing that til Joey slipped and "hurt" well sort of hurt herself on the floor.

"Ouch!" She cried and put her head back and fake a pain that wasn't really there. When he came over concerned a part of her wanted to stop but she took the razor she had grab and pulled his face in.

"Got ya."

He rolled his eyes as he gave her a chuckle while he rubbed his face onto hers and she started to yell his name.

"Pacey that's gross!" She cried but with a laughter shortly followed behind the cries.

He laughed as the two study one another with all the shaving cream cover their faces and slowly and not shortly Pacey kissed her shaving cream lips. And the best part was that Joey let him.

When she opened her eyes, she looked up with shock. Why had he just done that and what made him think he could just do that. But she was tired of fighting this battle with him as she stared at his face she knew she wanted this. No, no, she didn't just want this. She needed this.

"What was that?" She whispered. She watched as Pacey sat up and closed his eyes.

"I don't really know." He whispered and then felt the tug of her hand.

"I feel like you do know." She whispered to him and he let out of a sigh as he opened his eyed.

"Ever since I saw you in that dress while I was holding Daisy. I been uh." Pacey paused to clear his throat and then said. "I been uh waiting to kiss you."

"Wait, wait, wait. You were wanting to kiss me all night?"

"Yes."

"Even when you were yelling at me?"

"Especially when I was yelling at you."

"Even when you were flirting with that other girl?" She challenge him and he let out a deep breathe as he said. "Yeah. Then too."

"So..is this… some sort of…recent new development in your life?"

Pacey bit his lip as he shook his head. "Wanting to kiss you? …No its sort of always there…like…white noise, or… the secret service or the threat of nuclear warm for that matter. Just something you get used to."

"And that… doesn't at all freak you out."

"Well, yes and no."

"Which one, Pace?" She whispered. And he closed his eyes as he felt her shift closer to him.

"Hmm..Yes."

"Explain."

"I don't know that I can."

"Try." Joey said in a low voice that made Pacey want to kiss her shaving cream face all over again.

"Ok, well. It would be fair to say that every time I see I haven't been feeling all that friendly toward you lately."

"You been feeling more than friendly lately."

"Yes."

"And the only way you could express that was to pick a fight with me."

"I suppose the answer to that would.. also be yes."

"Why is that exactly?"

"I don't know."

"You must know something."

Pacey pulled her in til their foreheads touched against one another and he pushed back a lose stray of hair. She looked at him with big eyes and he could feel her eyes following his finger as he rubbed his knuckles on her face.

"I know that everyday that I see you, I want more. From the moment, you told me you were pregnant to the first time you laid on the road after being robbed to the first time you gave birth to our daughter to everyday after that I have wanted you and I have never stopped wanting. Because you and I are the few things, perhaps the only thing… that ever made total and complete sense in my life. That's what I know."

"Wow." She whispered and Pacey frowned.

"Are you wishing I didn't say anything?"

"No, it's not that. I just… need to get my head wrapped around that because for years I been wishing you say that. But is it ok if I just think about while we settle for a bit?"

"Yeah, of course." He said as he helped her up.

"Where are we going?" She whispered as he pulled her pjs off the hanger and handed it to her. The two went to the bathroom and razor in hand. As he handed her the pjs. Joey couldn't help but take his jacket off of her first and then slowly pull her dress over her head.

"Jo," He whispered but she stopped him with a kiss that sent him pulling her up on the counter and kissing her neck and lips. She slowly took his suit out one by one until they were naked in the k-mart men bathroom with nothing on but shaving cream on their faces.

"Jo," Pacey whispered, hating that he had to stop this but knew he should.

"I know. This isn't taking it slow-"

"It's ok. I just…well I don't think doing it in the bathroom of a Kmart with shaving cream on our faces is the most romantic thing ever."

Joey smirk as she handed the razor over to him as she put the purple star pjs on and waited for her to be done.

"Do you want to do the honors of doing it?"

"Really?"

Pacey nodded his head and put his chin down for her to reach as she sat on the counter while he shaved his chin.

"Ok. This is harder than legs. Although not dissimilar-"

She then accidentally nicks his nicks him and he looks at him as she took her finger and kiss it.

She then takes a paper towel and wraps his chin.

"There. Hello, chin. You're back."

"Well…I was never really gone."

"You weren't?"

"Yeah."

Joey rested her forehead on his and rubbed her finger on his chin. "Pace.."

"Hmm.."

"Do you think our lives would be different of we stayed together?"

"Instead of doing coparent while not being together?" He asked, and she nodded her head.

"Well, I think we would have definitely been a lot different. We would probably be married instead sitting in a k-mart shaving my face." He said as he softly rubbed her back.

"You think Daisy would have been happier?"

Pacey frown at this, their daughter seem happy to him. Like she love her life but maybe he was wrong.

"Isn't she happy as it is?"

"Well, yeah. But uh the other day, when she were going to Harley she was talking about how her friend's parent lived together and loved together as a couple and she didn't get why we couldn't be that way?"

Pacey softly kissed Joey's forehead as Joey said. "I think if we do this, we need to not tell Daisy."

"Of course."

"That doesn't mean what you think it means…"

"Then what does it mean?"

"Well, it means I want more time to think about it before we do the thing that has been causing us to fear for the past six years?"

Pacey kissed her lips softly and slowly as she rubbed her hands in his hair. Pacey suddenly pulled away and then said "I have an idea, what we could do to past the time."

"As long as there will be no bikes, no roller blading, and no you shooting hockey pucks at my head then I am ok with it."

"Well, didn't you have a movie in your hand earlier?" He asked softly as he pushed back her out of her face.

"Yeah, it was my book for Heston's class. I figured I wouldn't have time to read it at home."

"Well, we could eat candy?"

"At night?"

"Sure, why?"

Pacey helped her down and Joey wince from the bruise that was there earlier from falling.

"You alright?" He asked.

"Yeah, I think I bruised my thigh from earlier."

Pacey smirked at her. "Do you want me to look at it?"

Joey hit his arm and shook her head. "No, Pervert. That was not an invitation."

"I would call you a prude but you were totally trying to get me in you a few minutes ago in the bathroom."

Joey's cheeks flushed and Pacey laughed. "Come here, my little prude let's get nachos."

She laughed as the two went the concession stand. Then got their nachos, popcorn, and candy and soon after they finished eating halfway in the movie after all the trash and shaving cream was picked up. Pacey and Joey got a sleeping bag and they laid in front of the television. Joey was on one side while Pacey was on the other but it wasn't long before Joey was shivering and Pacey dragged her back to his arms.

"Hey, Pace?"

"Mhm?"

"Did you know?"

"Did I know what?

"This was a dream come true?"

"Which part?"

"All of it." Joey said now facing him while he rubbed her arm.

"When you and I were on the boat... I used to dream that we'd be cast away somewhere. You know, your... standard tropical island with the white sand beaches and... giant stars overhead. We'd wear no clothes, and we'd...splash in the surf all day. And then at night... the moon would be this... well, this giant thing. And it was always full. "

"I like this fantasy. I'd catch fish with my bare hands..make fire without matches." Pacey said dreamly.

"I'd make the fires." Joey said pulling him out of his dream and looking at her weirdly.

"Who paid attention in science class?"

"Ok, good point."

"But anyway, when I got pregnant. True love and our together seem so far away. Suddenly, all I think about was this baby and not throwing up all the time. Then when we move in together, I knew it was my main mission to not… well to not be together like how we are right now."

"But why?" Pacey whispered.

"I was scared you wouldn't love me as much as I love you."

"You think I ever stopped loving you?"

Joey looked down suddenly playing with the sweatshirt he had found earlier.

"My whole life, Joey, my whole life you have been the most beautiful thing in my orbit. And my feelings for you were what proved to me that I could be great. And those feelings were stronger and were wiser and more persistent and more resilient than anything else about me."

"You mean it?"

"Yeah, I do."

"All I want for you is to be happy and if happy is with or without me that's ok. I just care about you, because I love you,Jo."

"I love you too Pace."

And just as if they weren't watching a movie in a sleeping bag in the middle of a K-mart. Joey and Pacey fell asleep right there in each other's arms.

When Pacey woke up, he woke up to the young boy employer staring at him.

"Dude…this is totally…uncool."

Pacey look over at Joey was curled up in his arms but quickly started to tap him.

"Um… Joey? Ahem!"

"Five more minutes."

"No, no, no. I think now would be a good time."

"Why?" She asked and then when she looked up at him she quickly got up.

"Like...I mean... you're allowed... to, like, test things... and stuff... but the manager is gonna be... like, his mind is gonna be blown. "

Pacey then jumped up to stop the young employee to not say anything. "This-no need to call the manager, 'cause, you know, we were just about to leave."

The employee then looked at Joey and smiled.

"Hey."

"Hey?" Joey said as she furrowed her eyebrows not liking where this was going.

"So, is this…like, your girlfriend?"

"No. We just have a kid and sometimes even sleep together from time to time. Do you have a problem with that?"

Joey walked past him and the employee turned to Pacey who had a big smile on his face.

When they checked out, Pacey placed his hand on her back as he asked. "Home?"

"Home. You know, you could offer to carry one of these things."

Pacey smiled and took a bag from her.

"And you are letting me drive. Right?"

"Drive? My car? Ha ha! Do I appear to have lost consciousness? Because that's the only circumstances under which you would be driving my car."

"You wouldn't have this problem if you hadn't taught me how to drive in the first place."

"But you see, I don't have a problem."

"We'll see, Pace."

"You'll see your way into the backseat if you keep this up."

"Will you join me?" Joey asked. Pacey laughed as he shook his head.

"Now who's the prude?" Joey asked as they walked out the door.

"Still you, my darling, still you." He said with a laugh.

"Pervert." Joey said.

"Prude." Pacey said.
