I DO NOT OWN HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON!

The Vikings still held me back, but that didn't stop me from seeing Toothless' acidic green eyes open to look at Dad. They then flickered to me. His ear flaps pulled back slightly, but he shifted, as if he was holding some… thing…

I broke free of their grips and raced to him. "Toothless, I smell Hiccup's blood!" I said, going to Dragonese. Dad looked confused until Toothless uncurled his wings to show that Hiccup was indeed in his stubby arms and legs.

"He's alive!" Dad yelled. Gobber came up and said a snarky remark that made Dad snap into action. I had already taken my jacket off and pressed it into the wound, knowing it would be near impossible to wash out, but if it saved his life…

They had a tent where the injured where. I knew most were from Hátign, but I didn't want to be just another injury there. Toothless nosed me and got up. I noticed he winced when he put pressure on his right arm, so I gently felt it and noticed it was swelling. What did he do to injure his arm? He nosed my hair, which had fallen out of their pigtails, out of the way of my wound and licked it, making me shiver. I didn't flinch away as Night Fury saliva was a healing crème on a dragon high, meaning it helped the body heal much faster.

"Toothless." I murmured. He cooed and I half smiled, but my head still stung. "I need to go to the tent." The dragons were slowly making their way back to the isle. Those who knew their tricks easily led them to the right people, but I noticed a group of Vikings who were glaring at every single dragon. I stood, my legs shaking, while using Toothless' shoulders as a crutch of sorts. It seemed I did damage to my legs as well. "Tell all injured dragons to come to me. I'll be a hundred or so yard away from the medical tent just in case." I ordered as we reached the tent. He nodded and limped off, going to the other four who had fought Hátign.

I ended up kneeling beside Hiccup's cot, my eyes closed to stop the world from spinning. I couldn't die as I still had to find Chiron. "Venus?" Dad asked. "What are you doing here?"

"Dad, Hiccup's injured. I'm here to help family through this mess that should've never been." I answered.

"If this never happened, the dragons would've never been freed." He said sternly. "I just had a Nadder who called herself Shallowstone land in front of me and speak our language saying that you and the prince of night will help establish a government when all this is done." He half scowled and I laughed.

"All dragons can speak our language and they also have a human form." I said, scratching my head slightly. "The only reason why I'm telling you this now is because there's one behind you." I could barely tell it was a dragon with all of the blood reeking in the air. I couldn't tell who it was though. Dad turned around and I caught a glimpse of black. "…I thought I said to wait outside." I finally said.

"My bad fallega." He said, smirking as he slid around dad, his limp even more noticeable. "Stormfly and Shallowstone are waiting outside."

"Any others?" I asked softly, looking back at Hiccup.

"About ten or so." He said. "They were reluctant to admit they were injured." He added at my amazed face.

"Dragons." I muttered, shaking my head. Dad looked between us, confused. "Dad, this is… well, Toothless." I admitted sheepishly. "Believe me, I was confused as you when he came to me like that." Hiccup murmured something and I paled, catching what he said. Shit, I needed to help the injured dragons and then leave ASAP. I stood up and Toothless looked at me in confusion. "You can get treatment in that form." I said distantly. "I know it's going to be hard, being grounded again, but we can't have you losing another limb."

"I'm not that dumb fallega." He muttered. I rolled my eyes and walked outside the tent to see a handful of dragons waiting one hundred meters away from the tent. Shallowstone and Stormfly were the first to who saw me and probably the only two.

"Who's the most injured?" I asked as I got to them. They all blinked at me in shock. No one stepped forward until a Nightmare finally came forward. Her wing was torn and her tail was bleeding along with cuts all over her sides. I closed my eyes and tried not to pass out. I motioned for her to lay down and knelt beside the slowly healing wounds. I had luckily grabbed some supplies just in case this happened, so I got to work.

It took a few hours for every dragon to be fixed and told what they need to do – twelve out of twenty had limited flight. Six were grounded, but two could fly freely – but when they were healed, I reached up to feel that my own wound had healed as well. I still felt somewhat lightheaded, but I was sure it was from the smell of both dragon and Viking blood. I shook my head and started packing up. When I got back into the tent and sanitized all of the utensils, I went back to Hiccup's side. I stopped at the foot of his cot though. There was something very wrong as Toothless had the world's most pained expression and I could feel pain from Hiccup's side of our bond. I looked at him closely. Besides from being very cut up, he was okay except… a hand flew to my mouth as I raced out, my stomach finally giving out. I heaved in a lone bush as I felt someone kneel beside me and rub my back.

They had cut Hiccup's left leg up to his mid-calf off.

I snapped back to my senses when the person quit rubbing my back. A half groan made itself known. Did whoever was rubbing my back not know it was excruciating when I shifted and wings grew from my spine through my skin? I was sure there were two marks where the wings came from. I heard a chuckle and I tensed, my eyes flying open. "I wondered why Hiccup always rubbed your back after you shifted." He hummed aloud.

"He feels my pain and I feel his." I said. "It's all a part of being the Dragon Shifters. What you don't know is how painful it is to grow wings in mere seconds. You were born with them." He rolled his eyes.

"And what about having them go back into your spine? You think that's a pleasant feeling?" he shot back. I raised an eyebrow and he grimaced.

"Toothless, I'd prefer having them go back into my body than having my skin split multiple times." I deadpanned. He chuckled and I sighed, standing up.

"Venus?" Toothless asked. I turned to look at him a soft smile. I was willing to admit that I loved my best friend, who just so happened to be a dragon. "What's wrong?"

"Yesterday," it was really hard to believe that all of this happened in one day. "Do you remember me running and saying that Hiccup was chosen?" I got a positive answer and then a sigh. "The dream that morning… we all shared it, right?"

"About that one place where those females had their bows aimed at me?" he asked, making me scowl. Of course he'd get that impression of Camp Halfblood. "I do… what does this have to do with you suddenly become depressed?"

"After the battle with Hátign, I'm supposed to leave and go there. I visit a Greek Centaur by the name of Chiron and leave. Twenty days later, you and Hiccup are supposed to find him. No later, no less. You two even made history books when you were trying to find me." I explained. His face held heartbreak. "I'm telling you this because when Hiccup wakes up, I'm leaving, thus starting your twenty day wait. As soon as that wait is up, you two can leave."

"Venus!" I heard Gobber call. I made a motion to say one minute.

"Hiccup won't be healed enough to fly…" Toothless mumbled. "Besides, he needs something like what you made for me when I was crippled." I sighed and nodded.

"It's probably what Gobber wants me for." I said. I put a hand on his shoulder and smiled when he looked up. "Just promise me something. Don't over exhaust yourself or Hiccup. We've had our bond since we were born. When I was here for those two months, Hiccup tired easily and was sick. I don't want that to happen again, especially if he's still weakened from getting used to his new limb."

I ran over to Gobber, who was looking at the same group of Vikings that were glaring at me. "I don't trust them." He murmured before shaking his head. "When we get back, we're gonna have to build Hiccup a new leg."

"I figured that's why you called me over here." I said. "I'll start on drawings when I can."
