Chapter Sixteen: A Truth Revealed

[Theme of Hokage Tower:
Royal Castle from The Legend of The Dragoon]

"So…My Mother is the Famed Chain Mistress, and top Kenjutsu Kunoichi, Uzumaki Kushina, and my father is the Yondaime Hokage, Namikaze Minato?" Naruto asked.

The Sandaime and Kakashi nodded.

"You were my dad's student?" Naruto asked Kakashi.

Kakashi nodded.

"My mom held the Kyūbi inside of her," Naruto said.

The Sandaime nodded.

"And they both died to save me and the village from the Kyūbi," Naruto summed up.

The duo nodded.

Naruto was feeling overwhelmed. All of his life, The Hokage told Naruto that his parents were some shinobi who died during the Kyūbi attack. While the second part wasn't a lie, the first one was BIG TIME. Kushina was known for her Chakra Sealing Chains, her vast chakra, and easy to trigger rage issues.

And he didn't even need to get into his father.

Haku caught the distressed look on Naruto's face and took his hand, prompting Naruto to look at her.

"It's okay," she whispered.

"I know. I'm just a little overwhelmed," Naruto replied with a small smile. He then turned back to the Sandaime and Kakashi and asked, "Why did you two tell me this now?"

"I intended to tell everyone who you were that night," The Sandaime began. "People deserved to know their hero was the son of their saviors. However, everyone on the council was wary about the idea. Not only due to the dangers from threats outside of the village, but inside as well."

The Sandaime sighed. "Both your mother and father, they were skilled shinobi and famed throughout the entire shinobi lands. They both held enemies Kumo, Iwa, and Kiri. I argued against this. We are the strongest shinobi nation in the world. We would be able to protect you. But to my eternal regret, I eventually relented and held back the secret of your parentage."

"I see," Naruto murmured. "So what did you tell everyone?"

"That you were the savior of this village by taking on the sacrifice of holding the Kyūbi no Kitsune within you," The Sandaime said. "I hoped that would be enough to sate those who wanted answers. But instead, it enraged them to where I then had to force everyone to keep it a secret from the next generation."

"Naruto-kun, he is correct, your mother," Haku said. "Uzumaki Kushina, and the Uzumaki clan at large, were ordered to be killed on sight due to the vast abilities they possessed. Last we heard from a spy in Kiri, the village hold celebrations of her death every year."

Both Naruto and Kakashi scowled at this bit of information while the Hokage sighed.

"What about my last name? Why give that to me?" Naruto asked.

"Your mother took on the Namikaze name when she married. And they married at a young age, so most forgot her last name was Uzumaki," The Sandaime asked.

"Wait, how young?" Haku asked.

"Seveteen," Kakashi said.

"That young?!" Both Naruto and Haku exclaimed.

"I mean, you two are sharing a kid, and you're two year younger than they were, Naruto," Kakashi said.

"And I am exactly their age. It makes sense," Haku said.

"That's fair," Naruto replied.

"Also," The Hokage interrupted. "I wanted you to have something of your mother's at least before you fulfilled one of the conditions of knowing the truth."

"I have a question. What was the condition I had to meet to know this?" Naruto asked.

The Sandaime grinned. "Those on the council never wanted you to find out, My teammate Danzō especially due to his dislike of your parents. So, he said, once you clear an A-rank mission, you would get to know the truth."

"A-Rank? But our mission was C-Rank," Naruto said.

The Sandaime grinned and handed Naruto a scroll. "Open it," The Sandaime said.

Naruto pulled the scroll open and held it to the side so Haku could see it. "Mission increased to A-Rank," Haku read.

"Considering all of the risks you all went through during this mission, I bumped the ranking up to what was most appropriate," The Sandaime cooly explained."Danzō was pretty sure it would be years before you found out."

"Seems like this guy didn't want me not to know about this. Why?" Naruto asked.

"There are several reasons for it. All of which I will explain soon. However, it is getting late, and we should stop the meeting here," The Hokage said before he reached into his desk and pulled out a pair of keys.

"One of those things Kakashi will lead you both to right now," The Sandaime said with a fond smile to Naruto and Haku after handing Kakashi the keys.

With a clash of kunai, Sasuke blocked Tenten's strike with gritted teeth, sweat dripping down his forehead while Tenten smirked. "Don't tell me you're slowing down the tempo, Sasuke," Tenten taunted.

Sasuke pushed against Tenten's kunai before dashing back and throwing the projectile at her, making Tenten deflect the kunai into the air. Then with a twist of her body, Tenten kicked the hilt of the kunai when it descended, which caused the weapon to speed towards Sasuke.

Sasuke skidded to a stop as he pulled out another kunai and bounced the weapon into the air, only for Tenten to flicker to the airborne weapon and launch both down towards him.

Sasuke performed three backflips to avoid the kunai before he skidded to a stop, only for Tenten to flicker before him. Sasuke threw a left jab, but Tenten caught his hand with her right hand, placed her left fist against his stomach, only for an orb of chakra to appear and briefly against his stomach.

The orb of chakra sharply expanded and then explode as Tenten simultaneously released his hand, causing him to go flying from the technique. Sasuke crashed against the ground and gripped his stomach in pain, only to feel his bare stomach instead of his shirt.

Sasuke looked down and saw that the brief burst of chakra caused a hole in his shirt.

Sasuke let out a laugh as he stood up and launched himself at Tenten again with a flying kick. Tenten jumped to the side to avoid it while Sasuke skidded to a stop and threw two shurikens at the bun-haired girl.

Tenten kicked up a kunai off the ground and deflected both shurikens, only for Sasuke to slide beneath her and sweep her legs off the ground.

As Tenten fell, Sasuke quickly pushed himself off the ground and delivered a knee strike to her chin, causing Tenten to flip in the air before landing on her back.

Tenten rolled backward onto her knees, then sprang forward and with her arms in the "X" position and collided against Sasuke's upper chest and neck, sending them both to the ground.

As Sasuke's landed on his back, a kunai was placed at his neck as the two of them panted.

"You want to keep going?" Tenten panted out as sweat fell down her face.

It had been two hours since the two had met and an hour and thirty minutes since their spar began, and while Sasuke wanted to keep going, his body was exhausted.

This girl was a lot faster and stronger than he initially thought.

"I think I'm good," Sasuke answered as he panted.

"Good. I was getting tired," Tenten said as she stood up off of him and held out her hand to him.

Sasuke hesitated for a moment before reaching out and taking her hand. Sasuke was hoisted to his feet as Tenten said, "Man, it's so different sparring with someone else. I had no idea how it was going to end."

"Yeah. I often spar with Naruto and Sakura, and while Naruto is fast, he is no way faster than you," Sasuke said as the two began to walk.

"You think I'm fast? You should see Lee and Neji. Those two are speed demons," Tenten groaned out. "They kick my ass daily during training. But when it comes to weapons? I can't be beaten."

"So you're a weapon's person?" Sasuke asked.

Tenten nodded. "I tend to use kunai because it fits with my Family's Taijutsu style the most, but I'm proficient in many weapons," Tenten explained.

"I see," Sasuke said. "You're very serious about being a kunoichi."

"If I ever want to surpass the famed Namikaze Kushina or Tsunade as the top Kunoichi in the Elemental Lands, I have to be as serious as possible," Tenten said with a determined grin. That grin morphed into a smile as Tenten asked him, "What about you? What is your dream."

"Simple. My dream is to kill a certain man and revive the Uchiha Clan," Sasuke replied.

"Oh yeah, those are two serious dreams you have," Tenten said. "Well, if you ever need a partner to spar with, I'm your girl."

Sasuke stared at the smiling girl for a moment and said, "You are unlike any girl I've ever met."

"Of course," Tenten replied as her smile broadened. "While there are plenty of Kunoichi around, there is only one of me."

Sasuke felt himself smile.

"Now come on, since you lost, you can treat me to dinner," Tenten told him.

Sasuke blinked. "Hey, I-I don't remember that being a part of the winning conditions," Sasuke said.

"It was…Well, in my head at least," Tenten winked. "Plus, I worked up a hell of a sweat, and I know you did too."

Sasuke hummed before he smirked and said, "Fine, but next time we spar, the loser has to buy dinner for the winner."

"Sweet. I hope you're in the mood for some barbecue then," Tenten said.

"As long as it's Kuwabara's BBQ Pit that we're going to, consider me sold," Sasuke replied.

Tenten stared at him for a moment before she smiled and said, "Sasuke, this is the start of a beautiful friendship."

Sasuke snorted, but he didn't deny it.

"You look like hell, Ino-pig."

Ino groaned as she raised her head off Sakura's dinner table.

"That damn green spandex-wearing, hyperactive, cute smile having, iron-willed bastard Lee put me through hell today," Ino explained as Haruno Mebuki sat down a plate of food in front of Ino. "Thanks, Mebuki-Kaa-san," Ino said with a smile.

"No problem at all, dear," Mebuki replied as she ruffled Ino's already frazzled hair.

"So, tell me about this iron-willed bastard," Sakura said as she took a spoonful of rice.

"Well, his name is Rock Lee," Ino began. "I met him shortly before you left the village. He was sparring with his sensei, and it was the most intense spar in the world."

"What do you mean?" Sakura asked after swallowing her food.

"Well, you couldn't tell if they were sparring," Ino explained. "They were hitting hard and moving faster than I've ever seen. It looked like they were battling to the death instead of sparring. I then started to wonder if I could move that fast or hit that hard. So I asked them about it. They had to go on a mission but came back this morning. So I spent the majority of my day training with them."

"What does he look like?" Sakura asked.

"Well, Lee's style is horrendous. He wears this green jumpsuit with ugly orange leg warms. He has fuzzy eyebrows and black hair that he styles as a bowl cut," Ino described.

"He sounds ugly," Sakura bluntly said.

"You'd think that, but oddly, he's handsome. Not to mention he's very charming," Ino said as a faint blush appeared on his face. "Do you know what he told me the day we met? He told me, "I hope your youthfulness remains as bright as your beauty, Yamanaka-chan." Like geez. Way to flatter a lady."

Sakura let a smug smile appear on her face. "That is very charming….So I'm guessing you're done chasing Sasuke-kun now?" Sakura asked.

Ino blinked and exclaimed, "H-Hell no! I still love Sasuke-kun!"

Sakura gave a raised eyebrow in return, which caused Ino to flush and mumble, "I do…Just because Lee is charming, handsome, and has a cute smile doesn't mean anything."

"I'm sure," Sakura said. "While you deal with that, Have you seen Naruto's new girlfriend and daughter yet?"

Ino blinked.

"I'm sorry, what?!"

[Theme of Namikaze Residence:

"This is it," Kakashi said with a distant tone as he stopped in front of a path stone path leading to a modest-looking two-story Semi-detached house.

The right side of the house was cylinder in design with long redwood planks on both the first-floor and second-floor roofs.

On the first floor of the cylinder house was a large patio door that revealed the living room, while the second floor was a smaller cylinder shape than the first floor with multiple windows going around the wall.

The left section of the house was also two stories with redwood plank tiles on it but was square in design. The second floor of the left sectional house had a balcony with two green louvered doors that revealed two bedrooms, while the first floor had a solid roofed patio that also had a green louvered door on it.

The front yard was large, and from what Naruto could see, so was the backyard.

"This is the Namikaze…Or I guess I should say, the Uzumaki Residence," Kakashi said as he held the keys to Naruto.

"Wait…This is their home?" Naruto asked with shock.

"And yours," Kakashi murmured.

"Daddy, is this our house?" The sleepy Emi murmured as she nuzzled Naruto's neck.

"I guess so…" Naruto whispered to the tired child before he looked at Haku, and Kakashi said, "We should all get inside."

While Haku nodded, Kakashi looked apprehensive. "If it's all the same to you, Naruto. It would help if you guys went inside. I'll stay out here."

"How come, Hatake-san?" Haku asked.

Kakashi stared at the house for a moment, his right eye clouding over. "Too many memories…" Kakashi finally answered.

Naruto handed Emi and the keys to Haku and said, "Why don't you two head inside and take a look around while Kakashi-sensei and I go get us all a bite to eat."

Haku nodded and walked off to the front door while she said, "Let's go see our new home."

"Okay," Emi chirped out as the doors opened, and the two went inside.

Naruto could see the lights in the living room turn on, revealing that the living room

The living had a cream-colored half-moon C-shaped sofa with a circular glass table in the center of it.

On the right side of the large living room sat two cream-colored single-seaters, and on the left side of the living room was a cream-colored fainting couch variation of a chaise.

And finally, there was a large television that was mounted on the wall above the fireplace. But what made Naruto's heartache was the dozens of pictures that hung on the wall. He wondered what those pictures had on them.

But he would find that out when he came back with the food with Kakashi.

"What are you in the mood for tonight, sensei?" Naruto asked.

"Me? I was going to get some barbecue from the Akimichi's restaurant," Kakashi answered.

"Great. Why don't we go there and grab some dinner, and while we do, we can talk about a few things," Naruto said.

Kakashi nodded, and together, the two began to walk away.

Captain Blues: And that is the end of this chapter. So, I am poor at describing homes, but Naruto's new house is his family house from "Boruto: The Next Generation." I thought it would be neat to make that the Namikaze home and then Naruto's home.

Again, this one is a slower chapter, but I want the family to get settled in instead of jumping straight into the next adventure. The next chapter will have Kakashi and Naruto's talk, Haku and Emi exploring the house, then finally we get the start to our next arc involving Naruto, Hinata, Lee, and Ino.

Also, A few things to note. Regarding Rock Lee's condition, a little bit of misinformation was given. I tend to do a lot of research for my fics, and for Naruto (Since my life is busy and I don't have time to re-read the entire manga), I go on the Naruto Wiki to brush up my knowledge.

On the wiki, it didn't state that Lee had any disease that caused him not to use chakra. It just said that he wasn't proficient, so I went with that. Apparently, I was incorrect because dozens of emails and reviews pointed this out.

I still don't know what is correct, so I just changed it to where it was a handicap for the sake of my mental health.

The second thing, Hinata, is still the same. She still has a crush on Naruto; she still has her dream of reuniting her clan. She's not a different person. The seal I have on her will be explained, so do not fret. Just know, Hinata is still our Hinata.

The last thing, for those who were following Sacred Dawn: Knight Of Elysium, you might have noticed that It's no longer on the site, and that's because it was flagged for copyright. I don't understand how that happened, and I don't know who to talk to because it was a basic crossover and shouldn't have been erased.

So, I have posted this in my AO3 (archive of our own) account. That's right. I have an AO3 account. I made it because, truthfully, I like it better than FF, and also, I would have a place to back up my fanfictions in case situations like this happens.

It is under the name: BluestheCriminalWhirlwind (in tribute to my favorite Street Fighter character and main: Mayor Cody Travers), so check it out cause I do have fanfictions for other fandoms; as well there!

I also have Legend of Dragoons: Dragoons of Konoha (Rain finally handed over the fanfic hehehehe) posted there, and I had Ame Nochi: The Oath, but I decided to take it down from both here and AO3. I realized this was one fic I could not work on. It was too sad, and I was having some dangerous levels of stress trying to make it work.

No worries though, I do have a Naruto/Tenten fanfic I am working on, and you guys may see it soon.

WHEW.

This was my longest A/N ever!

See you all next time!
