Chapter 15 Dreams of the Past: Training Arc Part 3

Later that Night in Anos Room

Rias had been trying to convince Anos to train Akeno but for every argument, she brought up Anos would have a rebuttal ready every time. They have been talking for at least an hour with the conversation having no time of ending soon so Anos decided to give her ultimatum.

"Okay Rias I have an idea," Rias stops talking and sits back down in her chair to hear what her brother was going to say after she had been yelling at him, "what is it?"

Anos then puts his right leg over the other while crossing his arms, "after an hour you still haven't convinced me to train Akeno," while saying that Rias eye's narrow in suspicion, "but if you were to go ask everyone else and if they say that don't to personally train with Mittelt then I will personally train Akeno."

Rias raises her eyebrow in a questioning manner, "but we already did that two days ago," but Anos shakes his head, "I never said she would be training with anyone…just that she would be training along with the rest of you."

Rias pauses for a few seconds thinking back to what he said and she just sighs in defeat while pinching the bridge of her nose, "fine, I'll go ask everyone but I guess I don't need to ask Asia or Koneko since they don't appear to mind."

Rias then stands and walks out of the room while rolling her eyes at her brother and mentally cursing him but he just gives her a warm smile causing her to roll her eyes. Rias then closes the door and looks to her left while whispering, "so I guess you heard all of that Akeno…what do you think?"

For the entire time, Akeno had been standing in silence behind the door listening to their entire conversation, "well I guess Lord Anos is really upset with him."

Rias hugs her best friend, "no he just doesn't understand your situation and once he does I'm sure he will come around," Rias then lets go of Akeno, "no come on let's go talk to Kiba I'm sure he feels the same way as you."

Both girls then walk toward Kiba's room with Akeno knocking on the door softly and after a few minutes it opens revealing very much tired Kiba, "hello president…Akeno how can I help you is everything alright?"

"Sorry to wake you Kiba but we need to ask you something and then you can head back to sleep," Kiba rubs his right eye while nodding, "would you be okay with personal training with Mittelt?"

Kiba then stops rubbing his eye as his whole attitude changes slightly, "I wouldn't want to but I guess I can deal with it. If it means I get strong enough to protect you in the end."

Rias then smiles warmly and gently places her hand on Kiba's shoulder, "thank you for your honesty, you can go back to sleep now." Kiba bows and closes the door and right after the door closes Rias sighs while looking at Akeno, "sorry I thought he would have been in the same boat as you?"

Akeno just shakes her head with a downcast expression, "do you think I am being too difficult? I mean everyone else is fine with her being her and even training with her but I am the only one who wants her to leave."

"No…I understand why you hate Fallen Angels and I wouldn't feel comfortable making you do something you didn't want to."

Akeno nods and they start walking to Issei's room since he is the last person they are going to ask, "to be honest Akeno I think Issei might not mind either," "yea your right but it won't hurt to ask," Rias nods in agreement, "yea your right."

They then stop in front of Issei's room and knock and to their surprise there were footsteps running all over the room. Then after a few seconds, it opens with Issei standing at attention in a track uniform, "good-morning Lord Anos I am ready to…" but Issei pauses after noticing that Anos wasn't at the door.

But instead, it was Rias and Akeno with an amused look on their faces trying not to laugh. "Wait where is Lord Anos I thought it was time for training," both girls then look at each other and start laughing, "wait why are you laughing?"

Issei then glances at his watch noticing that it was only 11:00 and slaps his forehead, "umm…no Issei that's not why we are laughing but that ice part of it."

Akeno nods while licking her lips seductively, "yea but I wonder if you always show up to training like that? I mean have to come and watch for myself." Issei raises an eyebrow then looks down at his closes noticing that he was missing a specific piece of clothing.

He was missing his pants but lucky he had on underwear but that didn't hide what was swinging between his legs, Issei's eyes then widen in surprise as he screams, "sorry."

Then slams the door with a massive blush on his face and after a few seconds later he reopens the door nervously rubbing the back of his head with a blush, "sorry about that…how may I help you?"

Rias recomposes herself while Akeno was just covering her face with her hand trying to hide her laughter, "it's fine but I have something I need to ask you."

Issei nods in understanding and Rias continues, "if Anos told you to personally train with Mittelt would you do it," Issei scratches his forehead to think about the question in depth more, "well I guess it would be okay."

Akeno's eyes widen and she clenches her fist slightly, "Issei if you don't mind me asking why not? Fallen Angels were the ones to hurt you and Asia how could you just forgive them like that?"

"Well yeah that's true but they all can't be that bad. I mean yea Mittelt was a part of the reason why Asia and I almost died but is trying to make up for it. Just look at how hard she trying to make up for it somehow she and Asia are acting like sisters. Even though she doesn't like me I can still tell she is trying to make amends in her own way. So I guess it wouldn't be right for me to stay mad when she is trying to make amends for it, so the least I could do is try too."

Akeno and Rias look at Issei completely at a loss for someone who only had perverted thoughts he could act really mature at times, "so does that mean you don't hate all Fallen Angels?"

Issei raises his eyebrow at Akeno's question and Rias just looks at her friend having a feeling where this was going, "nahh…but unless they hurt my friends then yea we would have a problem."

A small satisfied smirk forms on and whispers under her breath causing Rias to raise an eyebrow, "I see then that's nice to hear." Rias then looks back to Issei who was nodding off, "well that's all Issei…thank you," "no problem president," Issei then closes the door and with both girls walks back to Anos room.

"What are you gonna do now," Akeno glances to Rias then straight ahead while shrugging, "I don't know? I guess I will try and put up with Mittelt."

Rias rubs her chin then slams her fist into her hand as an idea forms in her hand, "what if you were to train with me, I'm pretty sure mother wouldn't mind?" "Sure that would be nice, on one hand, I still get training and on the other, I don't have to train with Mittelt."

Both girls reach Anos room and Rias knocks on the door with Anos saying, "come in," both girls walk in to see Anos still sitting in his chair with a book in his hand, "I can see you still like reading your books, Lord Anos."

Anos glances up and closes the book, "yes after eighteen years, there are still plenty of things that I have not learned," Akeno and Rias look at each other then back Anos a little confused by his statement.

"Well don't worry about it, now I guess you have asked the appropriate people regarding our deal," Rias nods, "yea but I decided that Akeno will be training with me unless you have a problem with that."

Anos glances at Akeno causing her to look away, "no I don't mind but I will say this now," Anos then stands and walks closer to Akeno placing his hand on her head, "if you continue to hold yourself back you will never grow."

Akeno knew what Anos was saying but for some reason just decided to stay silent and let Anos rub her head causing her to relax a little. Anos then removes his hand, "now is there anything else I can help you with," Akeno shakes her head no then Anos looks at Rias she was nervously scratching the back of her head.

A playful smile then forms in Anos's face, "let me guess you want to sleep in my bed? Aren't you getting too old for this?" Rias looks away a nervous grin forms on her face, "I mean I wouldn't go that far," Anos sighs, "fine just me get changed and I will call for you."

Rias nods then look off to the side, "what about Rin, where will she be sleeping," Anos turns slightly to see Rin with a blank expression staring mindlessly at him, "she will be in here."

Rin nods, "yes but I will not be sleeping only observing so don't mind me," Rias asks what she was observing but Anos cuts her off, "she is very protective of me after I saved her life."

"Yes I am protective," Rias was still a little confused about her wording but just decided to dismiss it for now, "come on Akeno let's go." Akeno chuckles with a mischievous smirk on her face making Rias look at her more cautiously, "Rias by chance do you have brother complex."

Rias blushes and she coughs into her hand, "he is my twin so it's natural for us to be close, so please don't get the wrong idea." Akeno's eyes start to sparkle and Rias felt that Akeno was about to say or do something crazy so she grabs his arm and drags her out the door before she can do or say whatever she was thinking, "I'll be back later Anos don't go to sleep without me?"

Anos chuckles and sits back down then starts to read his book on American history, "you really do hold deep affection for your sister," "yes…yes I do."

Ten Minutes Later

Anos was laying in his bed with Rias laying next to him with nothing but a nightgown and panties, "why does she insist on sleeping half-naked, I just hope she doesn't do this to anyone except her lover."

Anos lifts his head to see Rin standing at the foot of his bed with her back to him, and mentally starts talking to her, "Ophis," "yes, what is it," "has your group attempted to contact you at all."

"Yes, but I have ignored their calls except for Vali the white dragon emperor." Anos raises an eyebrow, "the white dragon emperor is in your group?" "Yes and he is a half-devil half-human. Also, I told him you are strong so he may come and try to challenge you one day."

Anos chuckles, "are you trying to warn me how considerate," "not a warning I was just giving you information." "I see…tell me more about this group and are they a threat to my family,"

"Possibly there are different groups in my organization with their own goals. The old satan faction, Hero faction, and Nilrem have a shared hatred of devils." Then for the next hour, Ophis goes into detail about each faction's reason for joining her organization.

One Hour Later

"So which group does the white dragon emperor fall into," "he falls into none of them he has his own called the Vali Group." "The Vali Group you say so I guess his name is Vali…so what are his goals," "All he wants to do is fight strong opponents with the members of his group having their own personal goals that they want to be accomplished."

"I see…I think I would like to meet this Vali," "well I told him you were strong so he is interested in meeting you as well." Anos pauses for a few seconds causing Ophis to turn to him slightly, "what did you tell him exactly," "nothing that pertains to your true identity, all I said was that you are strong."

"Your faction may become problematic for me in the future," "possibly but I need them to help me Kill Great Red." Anos chuckles causing Ophis to look at him directly more curiously, "do you forget you have me I'm pretty sure I am enough to help you."

"I see so you think I should abandon my group," Anos just lifts his finger-wagging it side to side, "no that could cause more problems…hold on give me a few seconds...let me think of a plan?" Ophis nods and patiently waited for Anos to voice his plan then after a few minutes, he speaks his mind.

Ten Minutes Later

"I see that could work but it all depends on Vali and his group are you sure you said you didn't want to get involved in this world. Also, there is a saying in our world power attracts power whether good or bad." Anos glances at Rias laying next to him and he rubs her head softly with Rias unconsciously smiling at the contact, "yea that is true but I can't sit idly by when there are people who could threaten my sister's happiness and safety, and yes I have heard the saying before from the devil kings."

Ophis nods in understanding, "but I will be working behind the scenes and only get involved if I need to but that will only be if Rias or my family is in danger." After that Anos and Ophis continued to talk for a little while longer with Anos ending the conversation between the two to go to sleep next to his sister.

After Anos closes his eye he reopens them but his surroundings aren't the same as the bed he was lying in, he was in a massive cave that had thousands of large pillars of rock of different heights reaching toward the ceiling.

But this cave was not natural there was an ominous aura about the place and the ground he was standing on wasn't natural it was a path that reached for miles in front of him and miles behind him and there were also similar paths around him, "well this is definitely odd."

Anos then takes a look at his clothes he was out of his pajamas and wearing his normal clothes, then notices something else, "this isn't my body well the manifestation of my soul."

He then starts to walk down the path then stops and glances back again but the long path he saw earlier was gone replaced by a massive wall.

"Well it looks like someone wants me to go this way," Anos then continues to walk forward wondering how he got here he could also see thousands of red lights in the distance as continued to walk forward.

He then reached a massive gate that had unknown writing on it, he stops in front of it and felt a massive aura it was the second strongest he has ever felt in this world. He turns to see a blonde woman who had a black crown on her head with a black skin-tight bodysuit with two swords on her hip.

The girl walked toward Anos with an intense glare in her eyes, Anos then stepped to the side and the woman just walked past him as if she didn't know Anos was there. "Interesting I guess this is some type of illusion or memory."

The girl removes one of her swords and gripped it tightly as it started to glow a golden aura that caused Anos to smirk, "interesting," the girl then lifted the sword to the sky and brings it down upon the stone door causing the entire domain to shake tremendously.

The girl punches the wall furiously but to Anos's confusion, she drops the sword and the door opens with the sword disappearing as she walked inside. Anos then took this opportunity to follow behind her but he felt something try and steal a part of his soul but he resisted its effect.

He then followed behind the girl and slowly his scenery started to change, "now what's going on?" Anos stops walking as a man was kneeling towards him then he looked up, "I have…"

but the man stops as a female voice interrupts him, "silence…this is madness I give up a piece of my territory to that fallen and now you think you can come here unannounced and demand I give you part of my territory since you proclaimed to be a god of the dead."

The man drops his head, "it was not a title I wanted but I was tricked by my brothers into assuming it." The woman raises an eyebrow, "sounds like a personal problem now leave," "sorry my lady I can not my brother is the king of the gods so by decree I can not disobey him."

The woman stands from her thrown and walks toward the god causing him to pale, "who do you fear more…your brother who is not the absolute ruler over life and death? Or me the undisputed Queen of death do not forget you are in my domain."

She then extends her hand to the left as a spear comes flying into her hand, "this is my domain and with a snap of my finger your soul is mine to consume." She then extends her right hand toward the god as he starts to sweat from the pressure she was releasing, "so why the hell should I give you a piece of my domain to rule?"

The god's chest starts to glow a blue color as he feels his soul slowly start to leave his body, "if you give me a piece of your domain I will become your servant of death."

His body stops glowing and he slowly looks up to see a sadistic twisted smile on her face causing him to fall back in surprise and fear, "excellent that's…exactly what I wanted to hear."

The god's eyes go wide as an eight-pointed star forms on her right eye and the god's body starts to glow a golden color and dies down after a few seconds.

The goddess turns around and sits back on her thrown, "your soul now belongs to me…" she then waves her hand and a teleportation circle appears below the god, "also tell your brother to stop sending people to my domain, or I will kill him."

Anos had watched the entire vision in silence, "was that Hades? I guess even he feared the power of that goddess but I can't say I recognize her." The scene around Anos changes again and he reappears on the path he originally was in the cave with the same blonde-haired goddess standing in front of him a few feet away.

The girl continues to walk toward the next stone door and attempts to punch the wall again but like last time there wasn't even a scratch left on the stone wall, Anos walked closer to the girl and felt a familiar aura as his body erupts into purple flames, "what is this?"

Anos then looks at his arms and legs completely engulfed in purple flames but what intrigued him the most was that he wasn't burning. Anos's vision then blurred and he closes his eyes and reopens them to see Rin and Rias hovering over him, "yes is there something on my face?"

Rias had a concerned look in her eyes with tears threatening to fall off her face, "you wouldn't wake up I thought you were dying… so I thought of those complications that I heard from mom and dad."

Anos was about to say something to ease her worries but Rias interrupts him, "don't talk just stay still I will cast healing magic on you." Anos then looks at Rin, she had a hand on his shoulder, and mentally starts a conversation with her, "explain…what's going on?"

"You wouldn't awaken after your sister attempted to wake you up, it has been thirty minutes so I poured my power into you to awaken and it appears to have worked." Anos rubs his head, "I see thanks," "no problem," Anos then attempts to sit up but Rias just pushes him down, "I said lay down and don't move again or I'm going to hurt you."

Anos reluctantly sighs, "Anos why do you smell so terrible," Anos glances at Rin with a raised eyebrow, "excuse me?" "You smell a lot more like death than you did yesterday," "what do you mean I smell like death, I am very much alive?"

"I do not know either…I haven't smelt death in many centuries but I can definitely smell it on you, and I could also smell it on the Fallen yesterday." Anos glanced slightly at Rias then back to Ophis, "I guess you are the only one who can smell it since Rias hasn't said anything," "that is true."

Anos then sits up to Rias dismay, "calm down Rias I feel better now thanks to your healing," "are you sure I can call Asia?" Anos nods with a grin on his face, "okay but please be careful," Anos then ruffles Rias hair, "sure I'll do my best."

Both Rias and Anos get out the bed with Rias leaving to go get changed in her own room, "Ophis tell me more about this smell of death," "do you know who death is," Anos puts on his shirt then says, "I have heard rumors of death but that is all I am aware of."

Ophis then walks closer to Anos, "understandable because death is a concept of sorts." Anos turns to Rin with a raised eyebrow and responds with, "I know that but what are you trying to say," "some believe that death is just a concept but those who can smell or sense death know that it is not the case."

Anos then walks into the bathroom to brush his teeth, "so death isn't a concept but an actual entity have you ever met death," Rin shrugs, "no I have not since I can not die but I have noticed the smell a few times in my life. Once when I met Hades and another time after the death of the God of the bible."

Anos walks out of the bathroom and walks toward the door with Rin following behind, "so if death is really where is he or she," "probably in the underworld." Anos and Rin approach the stairs and Anos ends the conversation, "we can finish this conversation later."

Anos and Rin walk down the stairs to see Rias standing in front of Mittelt with Asia sitting next to her rubbing her back, Mittelt had a crazed look in her eyes and muttering to herself.

"Please calm down Mittelt I am pretty sure there is a logical explanation for this," Rias eyes lock with Anos as he looks at the trio, "is something wrong?" Rias glances back down to Mittelt and sighs, "apparently Mittelt lost her fallen angel wings…I tried to tell her she is probably just having trouble making them appear."

Mittelt jumps to her feet and turns to Anos as tears start to form in her eyes, "I'm not crazy… I can't I have been trying since I woke up and they won't appear."

Asia then hugs Mittelt and she accepts the hug and starts to cry on her shoulder, "Anos the Fallen has more of the scent of death on her," Anos's eyes narrow and he walks toward Mittelt, "tell me everything that happened after you woke."

Mittelt looks up to Anos and wipes away a few tears, "okay well Asia woke me up this morning since we share a room. Then we started getting ready and Asia asked if she could see my Fallen Angel wings."

Anos looks to Asia, "why the interest in her wings," Anos's tone of voice was neutral but Asia still jumped slightly, "well I was just curious about how they look…sorry if that was an insensitive thing to go."

Anos shakes his head, "no it wasn't I was just curious that's all. Okay, Mittelt tell me what happened next?" Mittelt nods, "then like usually I tried to make them appear but they wouldn't and I tried over and over again, then I tried to make a light spear appear, and nothing I couldn't even feel my own holy aura."

Anos's eyes then glowed red and his eyes narrowed, "what do you see Anos," says Rin noticing that his mood had shifted, "here I will lend you my eyes," Anos then closed his eyes as Rin's eyes started to glow as she looked at Mittelt.

"I see nothing out of the ordinary," "exactly and that's the problem, a few days ago Mittelt's soul was damaged because she combed both holy and devil powers. But now her soul is completely healed. No, it appears more so that it has changed."

"Hey Anos is something wrong," Anos comes out of his mental conversation with Rin and looks over to his sister, "no but I need to take Mittelt to go see Ajuka this may have something to do with her evil piece."

The door opens to reveal Kiba, Koneko, and Issei walking inside after doing their respective training, "hey what's going on why is Mittelt crying," says Issei after seeing the girl crying on Asia's shoulder?

"Don't worry about it Issei but for today I won't be training you I have something to do in the underworld. But don't worry I will have mother supervise you're training for today so just continue what you did yesterday."

Koneko and Kiba then look at Mittelt with raised eyebrows, "why is there something wrong?" Anos then looks to Kiba, "no I just need to check up on something in the underworld but it shouldn't take long."

A teleportation circle then forms underneath Anos as Mittelt lets go of Asia and takes her place next to Anos, Koneko then walked toward Anos, "please hurry back."

A grin forms on Anos's face and he puts a thumb up but then he drops it as he looks at Issei, "you look at my mother or my sister seductively and I will be here in an instant and you will regret it."

After that declaration Anos, Mittelt, and Rin teleport back to the underworld and in a flash of red, they were gone. Rias had a suspicious look in her eyes as she looked at the spot where he brother was just standing she thought to herself, "that was odd why was he in such a hurry if it had something to do with her evil piece he could have inspected it here."

Transition to Ajuka's Private Laboratory in the Underworld

Mittelt puts down her right hand that was covering her eyes from the flash of the magic circle, "this doesn't look the giant laboratory of Ajuka where are we." She was looking around at a small one-story white building with a window and chimney that had smoke rising out of it.

Anos says nothing and just walks to the building and stops in front of the door to ring the doorbell. There was silence for about ten minutes then the door opens to reveal Ajuka in a dirty lab coat that had burn marks on them, he also had only goggles on but they were scorched which made the normally clear goggles appear black.

"Hey, Anos I thought you were training you, sister, for the rating game against Riser," Ajuka then leans to the right slightly and sees Mittelt and Rin standing a few feet behind him.

"Also who is the maid and who is the," but he stops as his eyes narrow, "is that the fallen you were thinking about resurrecting?" Anos turns and extends his left hand gesturing for the both of them to come closer, "yes on the left is Rin my personal maid and on the left is Mittelt the Fallen Angel I restricted."

Ajuka stares at Mittelt more closely, "are you sure she doesn't look like Mittelt? Last time I saw her she had a gothic lolita outfit with blonde pigtails." Mittelt then taps her necklace dispelling the illusion around her body, "hello Lord Beelzebub," Mittelt awkwardly bows with a nervous look on her face.

Ajuka then looks to Rin and she just nods, "yes my name is Rin pleasure to meet you," Ajuka raises an eyebrow then looks to Anos, "okay I'm not stupid obviously that is not a maid…" Anos was about to explain but Ajuka continues his statement, "but I don't want to know, at the moment I feel like her identity will give me a heart attack."

Anos chuckles and then Ajuka turns to Mittelt when a predatory smile forms on his face while taking a few steps toward as she backs away cautiously, "but as for Mittelt I'm just spitballing here but you used your pieces right…can she use demon magic…is it just one spell or two…or maybe is it all of them."

Ajuka's eyes start to sparkle with amazement as he reaches into both of his pockets pulling out a surgical blade and a needle that had a clear liquid in it. "Don't worry Mittelt I just want to run a few tests that's all…I can't promise they won't hurt but I will make sure to be thorough so I don't have to do it twice."

Anos coughs, "you are letting your mask slip again Ajuka," Ajuka blinks for several seconds and puts the blade and needle back into his pocket while rubbing his hair through his fingers. "Uhhh…yes thanks Anos," Ajuka then turns around to look at Anos, "so why are you here?"

Thirty Minutes Later

Ajuka, Anos and Mittelt were all sitting at a round table with Rin behind Anos. For the past thirty minutes, Mittelt had told Anos everything she told Anos while performing a few demonstrations showing that in fact, she can't use her holy magic anymore.

"Anos I am just spitballing here but aren't you able to use holy magic so could her holy magic have turned into the type of holy magic from your world?"

Anos just shakes his head, "no just like this world holy and demonic are two different types of magic but if that's the case she would only be able to use demonic spells but she is still able to use devil magic."

Ajuka leans back in her chair, "well Anos we could bounce theories back and forth and still be wrong how about I just check the piece to make sure it's operating properly." Ajuka then extends his hand toward Mittelt as a magic circle forms with the pawn piece floating out of it.

While Ajuka did that he was having a mental conversation with Rin, "how much information do you plan to keep hidden?" "Not much I plan on just keeping your involvement of the information secret," "I see…so what are you going to do."

"Well for the past few days I have had a strange dream about an unfamiliar place and some goddess I have never seen before. But from what I can tell it is a part of the underworld."

"I see tell me and I might be able to offer some advice." Anos goes on to tell Ophis about the dreams he has been having for the past few days without leaving out any details no matter how big or small.

"I see I do not know…none of that sounds familiar except for the two-sided spear you speak of." "Really what do you know," "It sounds like the spear of life and death symbolized the golden half of the spear being life with the dark half being death.

It is stated that whoever wields that divine spear holds absolute control over life and death with one slash of the dark half being able to kill you instantly and with the opposite end being able to raise the dead."

"That is very intriguing where is this weapon," "I do not know it has not been seen since the End of the Great War." "I see so who wielded this weapon," Ophis was about to respond but she stops when Ajuka finishes up inspecting Mittelt's pawn piece.

"Well I couldn't find anything wrong with her pawn piece," Ajuka then stands and walks to a shelf with books on them with furrowed eyebrows, "but that doesn't mean it has nothing to do with her pawn piece. Your pieces could have unforeseen side effects we didn't know about."

Ajuka opens the book and starts reading it to look for answers, "Ajuka you can stop her piece is fine I just wanted you to check before I told you the rest of the information." Ajuka closes the book and looks at Anos with a raised eyebrow, "more information?"

Ajuka puts the book down and walks back to his desk then glances at Mittelt, "what haven't you told me Anos," Ajuka wasn't glaring out at Mittelt but he did have an indifferent look in his eyes making Mittelt a little uncomfortable, "I have a feeling death may be behind this."

Ajuka snaps his head to Anos, "death that's nothing more than a rumor…how…no one has seen death before…how did it confront you?" Anos shrugs, "I feel like it has been trying to, for the past few nights Mittelt and I have had dreams or memories of pantheon we do not recognize. But the thing is I am familiar with all the faces of the current gods of this world…"

Then Ajuka finishes Anos's statement, "so you think the pantheon is deceased or one that isn't recorded."

Anos then tells Ajuka about his dreams as well as Mittelt's to see if that can give him some more helpful hints, "I see," Ajuka stands without saying another word and walks to the same bookshelf again and picks up a book that is far larger than the rest with a lock preventing it from being opened.

He lifts his hand and a magic circle forms and the lock unlocks and Ajuka opens it and flips through it, "here I believe I know the gods you described?" He then walks back to his chair with his finger on the book and he reads a few more lines to confirm that this is the right pantheon.

Ajuka then flips the book around and pushes it toward Anos, "do any of these gods look familiar, you can also look at Mittelt to confirm as well? " Anos looks once and instantly nod to confirm that the gods he is looking at are the ones but Mittelt takes a little longer and only notices one person, "I don't recognize them but I do recognize the girl right there with the long golden hair but she is different her hair was black in my dreams."

Anos then looks back to Ajuka, "who are they," Ajuka leans forward and flips the book to the left a few pages, "this is one of the four primordial pantheons and to be more precise it's the one of Mesopotamia.

It really narrowed it down when you said blonde hair there are few pantheons that have blonde hair and the spear you described also helped." Anos then glances at the spear in question in the book, "who wielded this spear," Ajuka then points to a woman, "Ereshkigal the original ruler of the underworld before she died."

"Why isn't their pantheon recorded in libraries," Ajuka then closes the book with a sigh, "this book is all we have on their pantheon as well as the other three. Well, their pantheon was very secretive and considered themselves the gods above gods."

Anos raised an eyebrow, "and why is that," Ajuka reopens the book and points out a few gods, "well from what we know from this book most of their gods were ultimate class Gods or even Super gods with a few being on par or even exceeding Siva the current super god."

Anos then looks at each one of the gods more closely, the first was Anu, Enlil, Suen, Utu, Ishtar, and Ninurta. Anos then stops reading the short descriptions of each person and their powers and abilities, "and what about Ereshkigal was she one of the weaker gods?"

Ajuka then flips through a few pages that had Ereshkigal's name on it along with a few other gods, "a question mark why" Anos looks up from the book and then back to Ajuka?

"Exactly it's been said that she was sealed in the underworld so no one knows how powerful she really was." Mittelt then nervously raises her hand, "this is all good information but how does it help me exactly?"

Anos wanted to ask another question and it had to do with Ereshkigal's right eye but he decided to just ask another time, "you're right but I suggest we take a look at her soul more closely."

Ajuka nods in agreement, "you're right sitting here won't help us figure out what's going on," both devils stand, "wait where are we going?" "We are going to my laboratory," Mittelt raises an eyebrow when she walked in earlier she didn't see any signs of a laboratory in fact the small house looked pretty normal.

Ajuka then walks to a picture on the wall and moves the corner to the left slightly revealing a red button and she pushes it. The wall opens up revealing an elevator. Anos then communicates with Ophis mentally, "you should use this time to start setting our plan into motion," "agreed if you are not here when I return I shall go to the mansion."

Then an infinity circle appears below Rin and she disappears, Ajuka turns around after feeling some unfamiliar magic, "what was that and where did you maid go?" Anos smirks, "she's running an errand for me," "I don't like that smirk or that look in your eyes. You are definitely up to something aren't you?"

Anos shrugs and he walks toward one of the elevators with Mittelt following behind, Ajuka then sighs, "just don't give me too much paperwork." Ajuka then steps into his own elevator and it closes with Ajuka pressing an arrow pointing down, "so do you want to let me in what you are exactly doing?"

"It's too much to explain at the moment and I'm not saying that just to say it. There is definitely a lot of information I have come across, I think it best that we hold another devil king meeting."

"When do you want to have this meeting? This information must be important if you want all of us there." "Yes…yes it is," Ajuka's eyes soften a little, "I remember when you said you would get involved with this world unless your family was in danger." The doors to the elevator open and Ajuka is the first to walk out followed by Anos then Mittelt, "nothing has changed, it's just that now there are more people I consider family."

Transition to the Chaos Brigade Headquarters

Shalba, Katerea, and Creuserey were down on one knee staring at the ground in fear because of the projection of the third Super Devil, "what do you mean Ophis is missing," there was silence when Katerea elbowed Shalba his side.

"Speak dumb ass or do you want all of us to die," Shalba glares at her, "if you fear for your life that much how about you open it." "Sir over the past few years Ophis has been disappearing more than usual…"

Shalba and Katerea snap their heads to the right after hearing Creuserey speak. "And at the moment she hasn't been back to the HQ…we fear that she has found someone that has found someone to reach her goal of returning to the gap and has abandoned us."

The man's eyes narrow, "well that's unfortunate but luckily I have a backup plan and it is almost ready." "Sir what would you have us do until you in act on your plan," "for now keep looking for Ophis because I need her power in order to in act on the plan itself…Also before I forget failure is not an option unless you want to pay with your life."

The projection ends and the three devils let out a breath they didn't know they were but they still didn't get up because they were still too terrified to move but after several minutes Shalba was the first to stand.

"Well we should definitely hurry and find Ophis or all of us will pay with our lives," the other two stand as well and nod in agreement. "We have looked everywhere and have come up with nothing and as for who she has allied herself with there isn't anyone we can think of except for Shiva but I doubt he has any desire to help her."

The three walks out of the room and continue their conversation in the hallway, "could it be another organization," Katerea looks to Shalba and shakes her head, "no I doubt that as well our organization is the largest terrorist group in this world has ever known and strongest."

Creuserey then hops into the conversation, "she is right it is doubtful but still she is up to something." The three devils continue to walk and talk in the hall then stop after feeling a familiar presence in front of them, they stop as their eyes widen in surprise, "Ophis you're back, we were starting to worry."

"Yes, I have returned…" Shalba's eye's narrow slightly, "would you like to enlighten us to where you have been?" Ophis causally walks toward them with a blank expression, "did you not ask Vali of my whereabouts," "we did but he hasn't been here in a few days he said something about performing some errands for Azazel."

"I see well I have been trying to recruit Shiva but I was denied again," the three devils eye's widen in surprise at this revelation, then before they could say more Ophis extends her hand and three purple snakes emerge.

"You three will need to be much stronger if you plan to help me fight Great Red." Smiles start to form on the three devils' faces as the snakes fall from Ophis's arm and slither towards them.

The snakes seep into their bodies from their feet as their power rises, they check their bodies with Katerea walking to a nearby wall and demolishing it with a single punch earning a burst of amused laughter.

"This power is truly amazing so this is the power of Infinity," Katerea then turns to give me more I want more power, Ophis's eyes narrow and she shakes her head, "no any more of my power and you will die but if you wish to die then I shall give it to you."

Katerea pales from that explanation and rejects the extra snake that Ophis had started forming in her hand, "now did Vali say where was headed?" "I think in one of the domains of the church," Ophis then looks to Creuserey and nods, "I shall go look for Vali."

Ophis then teleports to the headquarters of the church in Italy to start her search. A chuckle then breaks the silence in the hallway causing Creuserey and Katerea to look at Shalba with a raised eyebrow, "looks like I was right she was trying to recruit Shiva."

Katerea crosses her arms under her breath making them rise slightly, "I don't remember you saying she was out trying to recruit Shiva you definitely said she was joining a different organization."

Shalba scoffs, "but I was the first to say anything about Shiva," Creuserey just rolls his eyes and walks in the opposite direction, "and where do you think you are going?"

Creuserey doesn't turn around and continues walking, "well I don't want to die so I'm gonna go tell him we found Ophis." Shalba and Katerea then remember the threat their shadow leader gave them and start to run after Shalba.

Transition to Ophis

Ophis had teleported on top of a house and was looking around at her surroundings, "I do not sense Vali but that could mean he is hiding his aura?" Ophis then teleports to another location in the city, she reappears on top of a small church and then jumps to walk around the nuns below, "hello little one how may I help you…are you lost."

Ophis turns to see a nun crouching down behind her looking at her at eye level with a warm smile, "no I am not lost…I am looking for someone." The nun chuckles slightly, "of course you aren't," the nun stands and looks around then back down, "how about…" but she stops after noticing that the little girl is gone, "what the…where did she go."

Ophis was now walking down a street, "this will take too long…I will just call him." A purple communication circle then forms next to her ear and rings twice before it is picked up, "what is it I'm busy," "there is something that I need to speak with you about where are you at?"

There was silence and Vali continued, "I'm in Italy specifically in the territory of the church." "Okay," Ophis then teleports to the territory of the church in Italy, she then looks around to try and find Vali's aura.

Then after a few seconds she finds his aura and floats off the group then flies in the direction of where she sensed Vali. After. After a few seconds of flying threw the air she reaches an abandoned building on the border of the church domain, Ophis lands in front of a small house and walks through the open door as a sword and staff halt her advance.

"Did you both forget the face of your leader," the sword and staff are lower, "apologies Ophis we thought you were someone from the church." Ophis looks left and right to Bikou nervously rubbing the back of his head with a goofy smile with Arthur on the opposite side butting his sword away.

"Take me to Vali," Arthur nods and walks toward the living room, "by the way Arthur Ophis is going to be dropping by any second now," "we know she is already here," Vali was sitting on a couch and glances back, "well you got here faster than I thought," he then stands and walks toward her with his hands in her pocket, "now that you are what is it that you wanted to tell me?"

"I am going to abandon the Khaos Brigade," Vali raises an eyebrow along with everyone else in the living room, "but I will need you and your team's help with dealing with the aftermath of leaving the group."

Vali crosses his arms and narrows his eyes, "I thought you needed the organization to regain your silence," "at the moment that isn't my concern at the moment." Now this completely caught Vali off guard, "are you alright just a few months ago you wanted nothing more than your silence…so why the sudden change of heart."

Vali then pauses as an answer comes to mind, "does this have to with that Gremory boy?" Ophis doesn't answer and just looks at him, "I see so you won't give me a straight answer…"

Vali closes his eyes to think then opens them to look at Bikou and Arthur, "well I never cared about the group I just wanted to fight strong opponents but I can't say the same about my team."

Bikou then starts to whistle, "I have my own goals and I don't need the Khaos Brigade to achieve them." Arthur and Vali then look to Bikou, "what…why are you guys looking to me…shouldn't it be obvious what my answer is."

Vali nods then look back to Ophis, "well they are onboard but I still need an answer from Kuroka and…" Vali stops as Lefay and Kuroka walk through the door, "Vali we are back did you miss us…" "no, but did you find anything new regarding the holy sword that is here?"

"No but we think that the sword has already been stolen," Lefay and Kuroka walk into the living room and realize that Ophis was standing there. Lefay then waves at Ophis and she nods at her, "Vali why is Ophis here," Vali then looks to Kuroka, "she is about to abandon the Khaos Brigade and wants us to gather information on them before we officially leave."

Both Kuroka and Lefay snap their heads with a surprised look on their face, "wait what do you mean she plans to abandon the Khaos Brigade…doesn't she want to regain her silence."

Vali shrugs, "yea but I guess she has found something that interests her more than her silence." "Really and what would that be," Vali then looks back to Ophis, "don't know she won't say but I bet it has something to do with Anos Gremory."

Kuroka then sighs and pulls out a twenty dollars out of her kimono and hands it to Lefay, and she accepts it gratefully with a chuckle, "well I don't mind I just want to find my sister so as long as I can do that I don't care."

"I don't mind either as long as I get to help and protect my brother," Vali then looks back down to Ophis, "well there's your answer you have your spies."

"Good now I have a few more things I need to voice; one in the near future I need you to kidnap Anos and once you do I want you to give him all the information you gathered about the different organizations in the Khaos Brigade. Lastly, I need information on the territories of the church after the Great War ended," Vali raises an eyebrow, "why are we kidnapping him and why do you need information on the church."

Ophis doesn't say anything and Vali just pinches his nose, "I see still keeping your reasons to yourself but I still need to know why whether you want to tell me or not." Ophis blinks and there was silence, "Anos is the reason why I am doing all this."

Vali was about to say something but Bikou screams, "fuck," and hands Lefay a fifty-dollar bill and Kuroka does the same. "Hey Ophis," Ophis then turns to Lefay as she crouches down in front of her with a goofy smirk, "are you in love?"

Ophis cocks her head to the side in confusion, "love…I am unable to comprehend love," Lefay sighs, "this is gonna get us nowhere." "So you don't have any feelings for him," Ophis just nods and Lefay sighs and pulls out two hundred dollar bills and hands them to Kuroka and Bikou.

"Thanks…nya," "yes Lefay much appreciated," Bikou then takes a step forward toward Ophis, "so you only find him intriguing?" Bikou, Kuroka, and Lefay sigh in defeat and pull out a hundred dollars and hands it to Vali and he takes all their money putting it in their pocket.

Arthur just watched everything in silence just rolling his eyes, "all of you are very immature," "okay back on topic but why do you need information on the churches?"

"I do not…Anos needs it I am just fulling a request," "I see well I can't promise anything because I'm pretty sure Azazel is on to me but I will see what I can do, and once we have gathered enough information I will let you know when we are ready and you can tell Anos the time and place of where we are going to abduct him from."

Ophis nods then she teleports away, "so Vali what do you think," Vali looks to Arthur, "well this is definitely weird but it will give us the chance to see why Ophis is so intrigued by Anos." Vali then looks to Lefay and Kuroka, "now tell me what you discovered from the church."

Transition to the Underworld

Ophis teleports to Ajuka's laboratory then after a few seconds she could tell Anos wasn't there and she teleports to the estate inside Anos's room. After the purple glow from the teleportation circle dies down she sees Mittelt lying in his bed unconscious.

Ophis was about to leave the room but she realized she was still in her Loli-form and she activates the illusion and her form changed. She then leaves the sleeping Mittelt and walks down the hallway to the stairs to see Asia sitting at the dinner table with a wooden mannequin on the table and in her hand was a book on human anatomy.

Asia looks up from the book and waves at Ophis, "hello Rin, how are you," "I am fine where is Anos?" "He is outside training Issei…is there anything that I can help you with."

Rin shakes her head, "no," Rin then walks past the dining room and out the door to go find Anos, "okay well bye have fun, and could you tell Issei I said good luck." Rin then walks into the forest where she senses Anos and after a few minutes she arrives at his location and Anos notices her walk towards him and mentally starts talking to her while throwing fireballs at Issei, "how did it go?"

"They agreed but are skeptical as to why I suddenly abandoned my mission to return to the gap," "I see…what did you tell them," RIn then stops next to Anos as Issei gets sent flying into the forest again, "nothing."

Anos glances at her then nod, "Issei hurry and get back up. A real opponent won't let you get back up after he has knocked you down." Issei wobbles to his feet, "good now dodge this," Issei's eyes go wide as he darts in the opposite direction of Anos.

A fireball about the size of truck forms above Anos then a few seconds after Issei darts into the forest he points in the direction of where he sensed Issei. The fireball then goes flying into the air into the forest and a bright light engulfs a section of the forest, as Issei lets out a scream of pain.

"Anos why is the fallen lying in your bed unconscious," Anos eye's narrow, "well a lot happened when you left."

Flash Back One hour Ago

The doors to the elevator open and Ajuka is the first to walk out followed by Anos then Mittelt, "nothing has changed, it's just that now there are more people I consider family." Ajuka nods and points to himself with an innocent smile, "do I fit into that small bubble of people you consider family."

Anos smirks as he just continues walking in the direction of a metal table that different monitors around it, "hey Anos what is this place." "Well, when I first revealed myself to the devil kings they didn't trust me except for my brother since he knew me more than them."

Mittelt then walks to the metal table and rubs her finger on it as Ajuka starts to turn on some of the machines, "so to earn their trust I allowed Ajuka to perform any tests he wanted to."

Mittelt looks to Anos as he stops in front of a chair in the corner and sits in it, "what kind of test," "the kind that could be considered torture." Mittelt then looks back to Ajuka with a terrified look in her eyes, "well in my defense I never get to perform all the tests I want so I did get carried away a little. Plus I didn't trust you."

"Don't worry Mittelt he isn't doing anything close to what he did to me…we are just going to take a look at your soul specifically the part of your soul that is inside of the evil piece."

Mittelt lets out a sigh of relief thinking she would be turned into a lab rat, "good I am all done here…mittelt can you climb onto the table for me so I can attach these monitors to you."

Mittelt nods and Anos gets up from his chair to help, Mittelt then lies down on the table as both devils start to attach the monitors to different parts of Mittelt's body. Mittelt grabs Anos's arm, "this isn't going to hurt right," Anos glances down at her and gives her a warm smile to ease her anxiety, "it's fine as long as I am here nothing will happen to you."

Mittelt nods and lets go of Anos's arm, "okay I'm ready," Ajuka cuts on the machines and starts the process and Mittelt starts to fall into a deep sleep.

Thirty Minutes Later

Anos and Ajuka had spent ten minutes trying to figure out how Mittelt lost a piece of her while also trying to figure out if they could restore it, but they couldn't find anything. For all intents and purposes, it appeared as though her soul was as it should, it was healed and her life span had been restored.

Ajuka puts up a notepad and starts to write down a few notes, "so I guess we are back to square one. I just don't understand if death is involved why heal part of her soul," Anos stops the spell he was casting and looks at Ajuka.

"I wouldn't say it healed her…more like stole a part of her." Ajuka glances at Anos out of the corner of his eye while he continues to write, "yes you are right but why to steal just a part of her soul and not the whole thing?"

Anos says nothing and then turns his attention to Mittelt after feeling an amnions aura, his then narrow slightly, "Ajuka do you sense that?" Ajuka stops writing and puts down his notepad and takes off his glasses, "no what are you talking about?"

Anos then nods toward Mittelt, "so you are saying that you don't see that," Ajuka looks toward the unconscious Mittelt on the metal bed, "I assume you aren't talking about Mittelt? What are you see and sensing that I can't."

Anos closes his right eye and Ajuka's right eye starts to glow and an ominous feeling crawls up his spine, "what is that?" Mittelt's body was releasing a black aura that was engulfing the entire room, then Mittelt's right eye opens and she sits up abruptly.

She then looks at herself and in a deep voice that definitely wasn't Mittelt's she spoke with a slight chuckle, "so I am really in the mortal real…" she then looks around, "well not the mortal realm but close enough."

"Who are you," the individual possessing Mittelt's body doesn't answer and just continues to look at his new body, "this one isn't strong but I can see why my master wants your soul back."

Anos then lifts his finger and fires a beam of light toward the individual cutting off a piece of Mittelt's hair, "I'll ask again…who are you?" Mittelt's head slowly turns toward Anos and Ajuka with half her face still being asleep while the other half had a sadistic smile and her right eye was no longer its natural color it was completely black, "hello devils…"

the individual then uses Mittelt's body to hop off the table, "I have no name I am only known as Four's." The now named Four then looks between Anos and Ajuka then looks back to Anos as his smile drops, "I am here to collect what was stolen."

Anos raises an eyebrow, "I haven't stolen anything," Four then points to Mittelt's body, "I am here to collect this one's soul that you stole. She was supposed to die but to my master's surprise, her soul did not enter my master's domain. Now give back what you have stolen devil…"

Anos crosses his arms and narrows his eyes and says, "no," Four's aura then rises as a sword of darkness then forms into his hand, "it wasn't a question devil but," he then glances at Ajuka who had twenty magic circles hovering around Four, "that one will be a lot of trouble but let's see how fast the both of you are."

Four then brings the sword toward Mittelt's neck to chop her head off but to his surprise, the sword stopped moving. It was Anos he was holding the sword in Four's right arm, "what the fuck how did you do that?"

Anos doesn't say anything and just tightens his grip around Mittelt's arm, "don't forget this is your servant's body," a cocky grin then forms on his face, "any pain you do to me is reflected onto her as well."

Anos was still silent causing Four to pale slightly, he then started to sweat under Anos's gaze, "didn't you hear me I said if you hurt me she will feel the pain as well." Anos then lifts up his pointer and index finger with his opposite hand and puts them on Mittelt's forehead then say's one word, "purge."

A white magic circle swirls in front of his fingers, Four then screams out in agony as he grabs Mittelt's head as her body is engulfed in a holy aura, "what the hell did you do."

Four then screams out in pain as Mittelt's body goes limp Anos catches her before she hits the floor, Mittelt'e eye's then opened slightly and speak in a soft whisper, "Anos," then she falls unconscious.

Anos then turns to Ajuka with Mittelt in his hands, "so it looks like death is pissed off with you," says Ajuka. Anos looks down at the unconscious Mittelt in his arms, "yea you are right."

Anos then places Mittelt on the table and places his hand on her forehead as a magic circle forms. It spins for a few seconds then Ajuka walks up to Anos to get a closer look, "is that barrier, are you planning on trying to block four from taking over her body again."

"Yes," Mittelt's body then glows crimson as a thick layer of magic covers her body and dies down a few seconds later. Anos then turns to Ajuka, "let's have that meeting after the rating game."

Flash Back End

"So that's everything that happened after you left. Also, how did things go with Vali," "he and his team have agreed to your request and will contact me when they have information that you need."

Anos then nods as Issei jumps out of the forest with his fist extended backward as a red orb was in front of him, "gotcha." But Anos waves his hand as a gust of wind throws off Issei's aim, "if you want to catch an appointment off guard it's best not to announce yourself."

Issei's attack then flies off in the distance into the sky, Anos then twirls his finger as the wind causes Issei's body to swirl around before the wind stops as he is dropped on his butt.

"Ouch Lord Anos that hurt…can't you hold back a little," Anos then walks toward Issei extending his hand to help him up. "I am holding back," "well could you hold back a little more," "not happening. I need to help you get stronger in order to be of use to my sister in the rating game."

Issei was about to boost his power but then a question posed into his head, "wait for a second if you and Rias are twins how come you don't go to Kuoh." "Because I am not in school," Issei then scratches the back of his head, "so did you drop out or something."

Anos just shakes his head, "no I college high school a few years ago," Issei nods his head and starts to boost his power then something clicks, "wait don't you mean high school," but Anos just shakes his head, "no I graduated high school when I was twelve."

Issei's jaw drops to the floor, "so what do you do now," "I work at the research laboratory under Ajuka Beelzebub." Issei then cocks his head to the side in confusion, "who is that," Anos just lifts his hand as fireball forms, "enough questions we going to continue your training," Issei's right eye twitches nervously as he takes a few steps back.

Later That Evening

"Anos dear is is your pawn really okay she has been sleeping since you got back, " Anos was currently sitting at the diner table along with everyone else, "yes her evil piece was acting up so I took her to go see Ajuka and he is working on it."

Venelana nods with a smile but the smile was hiding her true thoughts since she already knew that all of Anos pieces were mutated and gave others the ability to use demonic magic.

"Well I am sure the both of you will figure it out in no time," "We figured out the problem, so now. All we have to do is try and return her angelic abilities." Anos then turns his attention toward Asia and calls her name making her jump slightly, "yes Lord Anos," "how is the training that I gave you going?"

Asia puts down her fork and swallows the remainder of the food in her mouth, "I was struggling at first but it has been going better after the advice you gave me." The second part of training that Anos gave Asia was getting her to better use and understand her sacred gear.

To do this Anos gave her a book on human anatomy and a wooden golem that would glow red at different parts. So she would have to figure out what was wrong and find out what was the best way to heal the wound.

The reason for this is that during a fight she may not have time to fully heal a person so Anos wanted her to know the best way to heal someone if she didn't have time to fully heal someone.

"Good if you need any further assistance don't hesitate to ask." Anos then turns his attention toward Kiba and Koneko who were to his left, "I know I wasn't there for your early morning training but how did it go?"

Kiba and Koneko look at each other trying to see who was going to speak first but after a few seconds Kiba is the first to speak, "well for me I worked on trying to improve the illusions that I do know instead of trying to create a whole new one."

Anos nods in agreement and Kiba continues, "so I worked on trying to make my illusions seem more realistic to make than harder for people to get out of." "Good," Anos then looks toward Koneko and she speaks, "I have roughly been doing the same thing as Kiba but I did improve a little on how fast I can create my illusions."

"Lord Anos," after hearing his name being called Anos looks across the table toward Issei, "can you teach me how to use illusions."

"Impossible," Issei drops his fork as everyone starts to chuckle, "but why," Anos then puts down his fork, "at the moment Issei your magic reserves are beyond below average. So you lack the capability to use even the most basic of magic no matter how simple it is."

Issei drops his head in defeat but Anos wasn't done talking, "but don't look so down don't you remember you are the host of the Red Dragon Emperor. So you have the potential to be the second strongest person here."

Issei looks up with new hope in his eyes but then cocks his head to the side, "second strongest? Who is the first." Anos smirks as he winks toward Issei, "you're looking at him," after saying that a large sigh comes from the opposite side of, "please don't start."

Anos then looks toward Rias and she currently looking at him with a disapproving look in her eyes, "you just had to sneak that last part in." Anos raises an eyebrow with a smirk, "do you not believe your big brother is the strongest."

Rias just rolls her eyes, "I believe you are many things," Anos then picks up his drink to take a sip as their mother says something making Rias blush, "Rias dea,r be nice to your brother or he won't let you sleep in his bed anymore."

Rias spits out her food and snaps her head toward her mother, "wwww…what are you saying," "come now Rias you are seventeen I think it's time you stopped sleeping in his bed."

Rias then starts to blush profusely, "I stopped a long time ago," Rias then looks toward Anos as her eyes narrow, "isn't that right we haven't slept in the same bed since we were kids."

Anos puts down his cup and looks between his mother and Rias deciding if he should spill the beans, "Rias I don't know why you are so embarrassed…I kind of it quite adorable that you can't sleep without your older brother beside you."

Rias then abruptly stands from the table as everyone starts to giggle, "I am going to bed in my own room tonight." Rias then stomps out but stops when she hears her mother speak, "so I take it you slept in his room last night."

Rias doesn't say anything and just walks out of the dining room then up the stairs, Anos then looks toward Akeno. "So Akeno how is your training going," Akeno stops giggling as she nervously looks away from Anos, "it's going fine Lady Gremory has been very helpful."

Anos nods and then goes back to eating his food and Akeno does the same noticing that Anos was done talking. After almost a half-hour later everyone finishes eating, currently, Anos was outside talking to his mother, "how are you feeling Rias told me about this morning?"

"I am doing fine," Venelana then takes a step closer towards her son, "I highly doubt that," Venelana was now standing inches from her son's face staring into his eyes then she sighs.

"Well if you don't plan on telling your mother at least don't make me worry." Anos smirks and hugs his mother slightly catching her off guard by his sudden affection, "yes mother."

Venelana blushes and smiles warmly and hugs her son back, then after a few seconds they let go and Anos creates a teleportation circle to take his mother back to the estate, "do you want me to escort you back?"

Venelana steps onto the magic circle and waves her son off, "it's fine I have servants waiting for me and I could have created my own magic circle." Anos smirks as the magic circle starts to glow, "I know and tell father I said hi," Venelana nods then in a flash she was gone.

Anos turns and walks back inside to see Rin standing in front of the door, "you really have a deep affection for your mother." He walks past her and she follows behind, "yea I really do…are you jealous," "I never had a mother so I have nothing to be jealous of. It was just an observation."

Both start to walk upstairs and Anos continues the conversation, "by the way I never asked how did Ddraig take the information you gave him." "He was skeptical at first but he could tell I wasn't lying, I also took the liberty of showing him some of your memories but I didn't reveal anything outrageous."

"Good," Anos then opens his door to see Mittelt still lying in his bed unconscious, "when do you think she will awaken." "If she doesn't awaken by tomorrow I will take a look into her mind but for now I will just wait."

"So what will you do until then," Anos walks to a couch chair in his room and sits in it, "I am going to go talk to death," "how," "I could tell someone has been trying to reach out to me through my dreams."

After saying that Rin interjects, "so you plan to confront death in your dreams but what will you do if you can't awaken like last time." Anos glances up towards Rin and she just stares at him, "don't worry I don't plan on staying long I have a deal to uphold remember."

After saying that Anos closes his eyes and closes his arms then falls asleep leaving Rin to continue to look at his memories with keen interest.

Anos reopens his eyes to see the familiar path in front of him but the scenery quickly changes to reveal Ereshkigal sitting on her sold golden thrown with an annoyed look on her face with a magical projecting of her father standing in front of her.

There was silence then her father spoke in a booming voice, "what do you think you are doing, I don't believe I gave you that domain to associate with those lesser life forms." Ereshkigal's eye twitches, "excuse me…last time I check this domain belongs to me unless you plan to come down here and take it from me…"

Ereshkigal then smirks, "unless you plan to release the seal keeping me here." Anu's eyes narrow and Ereshkigal's smirk drops as she turns her head away from her father, "I won't say it again stop giving other pantheons pieces of the underworld. I don't know what you are planning but I am putting a stop to it here and now."

Ereshkigal clenches his fist as the underworld starts to shake furiously reflecting her rage, "I don't care how mad you get but you will obey my words." Ereshkigal then nods reluctantly then waves her hand as the magical reflection of her father disperses.

Anos then walks in front of Ereshkigal sitting atop the thrown she glances at him then looks away, "how long do you plan on showing me all this death or should I call you by your real name."

The dream distorts as cracks start around the dream shattering like glass to reveal a barren wasteland. That had greatly resembled a desert but the ground was on fire and the same ominous black aura that was around Mittelt was now all over the area like a heavy fog.

Then the black fog started to form in front of Anos then after a few seconds the smoke settles to reveal a figure in front of him, "you are Death I presume?" The figure still surrounded by black smoke says nothing then starts to walk closer toward Anos then stops two feet in front of him and starts to circle him closely.

With Anos watching Death's every move with knees interest death circles Anos three times and in that silence Anos hasn't taken his eyes off death, "are you done with your inspection death or should I call you by your real name?"

Death stops circling Anos then finally looks up to him with Death's mercury black eye staring directly into his own. Then in a creaky voice Death spoke quietly, "you do not have the right to utter that name in my presence devil unless you wish to die."

Anos smirks and crosses his arms, "then what do I call you," "I did not allow you to see my true form to have ideal chatter." The black fog then slowly starts to slowly disperse more to reveal more of Death's features, with Death's face now more visible now that the mist has dispersed more.

"Then what do you want from a lowly devil like me," "I want what you stole from me," Anos raises an eyebrow, "I assume you are talking about Mittelt." Death doesn't speak and just nods, "well I can't do that she is under my protection."

Death's eyes narrow, "I wasn't asking," Anos then noticed that one of her eyes had a golden pupil and not the star he was looking for. Anos red eyes then start to glow, "well then I guess we have a problem."

After saying that there was an ominous silence, then death spoke, "first you steal from me…" as death spoke the area that Anos was in began to shake more furiously with every word.

"Then you have the audacity to not return what you stole." "From what I know people get risen from the dead all the time are you are saying they stole from you."

The dream settles down slightly but still continues to shake, "the fallen was meant to die…that was her destiny but you defined that destiny. So give me the remainder of her soul," "I'm sure you have other souls that are far more interesting than a lowly fallen," Death then looks Anos up and down and says, "you," this causes Anos to narrow his eyes, "I could be persuaded to take your soul in exchange."

Then what appears to be a smile forms on Death's face, "I have seen and absorbed many souls but I haven't seen one that shines with so much power but if you are lucky I may be persuaded to make you one of my servants."

Anos chuckles causing death to cock her head in confusion, "I don't think I said anything funny devil," "give you my soul I haven't heard anything more ridiculous in my life." Death steps back and lifts its hand, "fine I can just take both of your souls."

Anos then looks down at his body as it starts to glow a blue color then Anos felt another stronger tug on his soul but quickly shook it off causing death to drop its hand. And glare at him with Death's golden pupil glowing more brightly, "I like a man that can put up a fight but if you think you can resist my power then you are mistaken."

Death then tries five more times but to no avail, she could not take his soul, "Anos is your name correct…I find you very intriguing not only can you resit my pull but you are far stronger than any devil I have heard of including your brother and Ajuka."

The fog disperses more to reveal more of Death's face which resembled the same woman from Anos's dreams but now she looked like she was in her eighties instead of her early twenties. She licks her lip seductively while looking into his eyes, "now I want your soul more than anything in this world and I will consume it to regain the power I lost."

Anos smirks as his aura starts to flare out causing Death to smile a little revealing some of her teeth, "if it's a fight you want I am happy to oblige." Death drops her evil smile and turns as the black fog starts to cover her body, "if you want the part of the soul I took from your servant then come to my domain and fight for it."

Anos was about to ask where the domain was but Death continues, "if you know my true identity you know that there is only one way to enter my domain." The black fog becomes thicker making it harder to see then Anos finds himself awake sitting in the couch chair that he fell asleep in.

Anos looks up to Rin and asks, "how long was I out," Rin looks down to Anos and responds by saying, "no it has only been five seconds since you fell asleep." Anos nods then stand, "I suppose you have come in contact with death since the smell is much stronger on you now."

Anos nods and walks toward the bathroom, "yes and she is really upset by the fact that I stole Mittelt's soul from her." "Well, your form of resurrection isn't a part of this world so it could be perceived that way.

So now that you have spoken to death what will you do?" Anos says nothing for a minute to contemplate his next course of action then Rin spoke again, "depending on how you handle this situation your identity could be revealed."

Anos stands tallied cracks his neck then looks to Rin, "then it looks like I might have to eliminate the last god of the Mesopotamian pantheon."

Scene change to an Unknown Location of the Lowest Part of the Underworld

In a dimly lit throne room, there were over two hundred men and women kneeling toward a thrown of bones with only seven individuals standing in front of a man who was being held off the ground by spears going through his back, hands, and feet.

"I'm not lying it is the truth he…" the man then screams out in pain as another spear shoots out the ground and goes through his stomach, "silence our master doesn't want to hear your excuses four. You were given the task of taking the last part of that fallen's soul and to not return until you have received it."

Four was about to protest but the woman with purple skin and two horns protruding from her head waves her hand as another shoots from the sky hitting him in the back, "I wasn't done talking." Four coughs up blood and stays silent, "then you had the audacity to crash into mother's domain unannounced after she said not to return until you have the soul."

The woman then lowers her hand and fours floats closer towards her and she grabs him, "if it were up to me you would be dead by now."

The woman was about to say something else but stops after hearing the soft voice of her master speak then she turns on her heel and drops to a knee with the other six individuals who were standing in silence doing the same, "Minerva release him."

The now named Minerva snaps her fingers and the spears disappear with fours body hitting the ground, four struggles to rise to his feet but stops when he felt his master's gaze upon him. His body then starts to levitate toward death's thrown, "that look in your eyes four do you fear that devil more than me."

Four was about to say absolutely not but then remembered when Anos was staring into his eyes with his own and for the first time in his life, he feared someone just as much as he feared his master.

"No I fear…" but death grabs his throat as her eyes narrow, "do you forget you are in my domain I know all see all, and hear all. Do you not think I can not feel your emotions," her drip then tightens as Four starts gasping for air, "and yet you still had the audacity to lie directly to my face."

Death's right golden pupil then starts to glow brighter than her eyes widen slightly as she felt a rush of power. Then point the of a star start's to protrude from the golden pupil in her right eye, "count yourself lucky Four."

She then tosses him to the ground and stands from her thrown, "listen my children and apostle we are going to be having a guest soon and he plans to retrieve the soul that I took back."

Death's golden eye that had on point from a star started to glow and swirl rapidly, "when he arrives make sure to give him a warm welcome but don't be to ruff his soul looks absolutely delicious." Then a resounding yes rings out throughout the thrown room causing a sadistic smile to form on Death's face as she licks her lip.
