The scene opened in a forest during the springtime. Everything was quiet and peaceful, birds flying with the sun shining. Many animals played together and looked after each other.

On top of a tree sat a young man. He was caucasaion in his late teens, with hair that glowed white like snow. He wore a blue hoodie that had ice marks on it. This man also wore brown jeans that also had ice marks. Though he was barefooted, that didn't seem to bother him. He was the Guardian of children, Jack Frost.

He searched the area for people in need for entertainment and/or help. He got what he wanted when seeing a group of kids, three boys and two girls walking in the forest.

"That's my cue!" he said.

After summoning wind, Jack flew over to them. He landed on a nearby boulder before watching the kids. They were having a hard time deciding what they were going to play. Jack decided to help by summoning gentle wind which made them laugh.

"This tickles!" One of them said.

"I like it too!" another added.

They ran in the direction of the wind, loving the breeze on them. They kept moving forward trying to overtake the wind. A few minutes later, one of their hats was blown off.

"Oh no!" a kid who lost their hat said.

All the kids began chasing after the hat.

"Jack Frost to the rescue!" Jack said.

He flew after them, decided to go slower. He knew he could easily get the hat but wanted the kids to have a challenge. The hat went by trees, over rocks, and around bushes.

"Come back here, hat!" they called.

Jack made a small gust, making it go upwards. The children didn't give up and kept running. Their attention on the hat made them close focus on where they were going. They slipped on a hill, beginning to roll down.

"Hang on, I'm coming!" Jack called.

He made ice below them, giving the children a smooth slide. They sat down while sliding, now able to see the hat again. The children pushed each other aside, it now being a competition to get the hat. One would bump into another when getting near the hat.

"A race huh?" Jack asked. "Let's take things to the next level!"

He sent a stronger but still easy gust behind them, making the children slide down faster. They laughed in joy loving this so much. Jack flew next to them smiling from their joyful expressions.

Before they hit the bottom, Frost made a snow cushion in front of the children. They got up laughing and threw some snow at each other. Jack grabbed the hat and gently lowered it down to the kid who lost it.

"I got my hat back!" he cheered.

"You rock man!" another kid added.

They got up and began walking back.

"That was fun wasn't it?" Jack asked.

"You should have seen me," one of them said while laughing. "I was like a penguin!"

"Yeah, fun right?" Jack asked again.

"The hat was flying around!" another added.

"What about the fun we had?" he asked them, beginning to get worried.

Jack landed in front of the kids who didn't look at him.

"Did you like what we did together?" he asked.

They walked right through him, making him gasp in both shock and fear. Turning around the guardian saw the kids walking off full of joy. He growled before holding his stick firmly.

"Damnit!" he snapped.

He took off fast with his face full of anger. He landed on a tree before yelling.

"Why am I still like this?!" he asked.

Jack thought Jamie seeing him meant he could finally be happy with other people, turns out that was only short lived. He tried so hard but so little people believed in him, even the kids he saved from Pitch weren't enough. The big reason is because what he does is different from the other guardians.

"What am I doing wrong?" he asked the moon. "Is this supposed to be my fate?"

The afternoon moon remained quiet, not giving him an answer.

"Damnit, speak up would you!" he snapped.

Jack jumped to the ground before screaming. He sent many blasts of ice around him from the trees to the grass. Animals ran/flew away from the angry Jack Frost.

"What's the problem?!" he yelled. "What else do you need?!"

He kept shooting more and more ice blasts, unable to control his anger. The blasts also got stronger the angrier Jack became.

"I hate being alone, I hate being alone!" he groaned.

He hit everything around him, freezing them completely. Jack also would shoot upwards, making it hail a small amount. He grit his shiny teeth, on the edge of losing it.

"I HATE BEING ALONE!" he yelled for the world to hear.

He slammed his stick to the ground, sending out a massive wave of ice. The wave was strong enough to break down all the trees nearby. It also shattered boulders and blew bushes away. After it faded, the area began snowing gently. Jack fell to his knees, eyes red and teary.

"I really am all alone….," he said.

Though the cold didn't bother Jack's body, his heart felt so cold. This was from pure loneliness, a feeling everyone gets cold from. He stayed on his knees for a good bit while crying.

"You really are all alone, aren't you?" a familiar voice in his head asked.

"Shut up!" Jack told the voice.

He fell on his back looking up at the sky. Through the clouds the moon shined on him. It was telling Jack not to give up and keep going. Jack was too upset at the moment to talk but he knew the moon was right. He decided to rest in this position for a few while. He cried slowly as he laid on the ground.

The scene relocated to a tower, an oddly placed tower. It was found between the forest and a mountain. It was pretty average looking, definitely not an attention grabber. Despite that, it still looked peaceful in the noon sunlight.

Within the tower was a young woman in her late teens. She was white with big green eyes. She wore a pink dress suitable for running around in. The thing that stood out the most was her blonde hair. It was long, very VERY long, it went on for what seemed like a mile. Despite that, her hair was smooth and beautiful. She was the lonely girl, Rapunzel.

Rapunzel sat on a chair, being bored as usual. Her eyes were on the floor dangling her feet. She thought of many things to do, but seemed like she already did them. A green chameleon climbed on her shoulder.

"Hey Pascal," she said to the chameleon.

He made a concerned tone trying to get her attention.

"Just bored," she answered. "Oh, I know! How about we play chess again?!"

Pascal sighed, it being like the sixteenth time they played that today, but decided to go along with it. Rapunzel went first by moving her pawn two spots, Pascal mimicked her.

Only a few minutes in, Rapunzel already took down two of his pawns. Pascal growled in annoyance, making the blondie giggle. He moved another pawn only for that to be taken.

Rapunzel's knight took down Pascal rook. Her queen then beat his bishop at a quick pace. And before they knew it, Rapunzel won the game.

"I won again!" she cheered.

She jumped around full of joy as Pascal groaned. He decided to let her enjoy her victory and walked away.

"Rapunzel!" a voice came.

In came a middle aged woman with long black hair. She wore a crimson dress with gold markings. Despite her pretty appearance, there was something unsettling about her. She was Mother Gothel.

"Hi mother," she called.

"How is my little girl doing?" she asked.

"I'm okay," Rapunzel answered.

"Now before I head out, I wanted to ask if you're sure you wanted this gift?" she asked. "It will take me three days to get back."

"Yes," Rapunzel answered. "Maybe I can come with you."

"No, Rapunzel," she said. "You're staying here."

"But I'm almost 18!" Rapunzel replied. "You can't keep me here forever!"

"You can't come with me," she said. "This is to keep you safe."

"I don't want to be here anymore!" she snapped.

"That's enough!" Gothel yelled. "You stay here and don't leave!"

That comment made Rapunzel get frightened a little bit. She backed up while looking down at the floor. Seeing her expression, Gothel gave her a hug. Rapunzel hugged back now feeling better

"I love you, Rapunzel," she told.

"Yeah, I know," Rapunzel replied.

After helping her pack some food, she lowered Gothel down the tower with her hair. Once mother was out of sight, Rapunzel fell on a chair. She covered her face and began crying. Pascal climbed up her body to her shoulder trying to comfort her.

"I hate this too much!" she cried. "Why must I always be alone in this tower!"

Pascal made a cornered sound, but she ignored him. She got up quickly and ran off causing the chameleon to fall off her. Blondie made it to her room before slamming the door shut.

"Why must I be alone?!" she yelled.

She ran to her bed before falling face first on it. Despite her face being buried on the pillow, her yells could still be heard. She cried so hard the pillow got wet. Rapunzel also held the covers hard, feeling like tearing them.

"I hate being alone! I hate being alone! I hate being alone!" she said over and over again.

She began to scream with her cries, loud enough for Pascal to hear her from downstairs. He decided to give her time to calm down before checking in on her. Meanwhile, Rapunzel cried her heart out, the whole pillow now wet.

After calming down, she sat on the side of her bed. Walking to a bookshelf, she brought out a coloring book. Rapunzel looked at her drawing of the stars in the sky. A small tear went down her cheek before it fell on the book.

"My birthday is almost here," she said. "And I'm still all alone."

The scene was now back with Jack Frost. He was flying through the air, eyes still a little red from earlier. He flew at a gentle pace feeling the breeze against his body. This didn't help much, but he didn't have many options at the moment.

A few minutes later, he saw Rapunzel's tower. He landed on a tree before taking a closer look at it. He was confused as to why a tower would be out in the middle of nowhere. He decided it would be a good place to rest up for a while.

He flew over before landing on the wall. He looked in the window from around the corner. Seeing the coast was clear, the guardian climbed inside. Jack sat on a chair before exhaling, it felt so good just to sit down after his freak out.

"I just need a few minutes," he said while rubbing his face.

From upstairs, Rapunzel heard his footprints. He picked up a nearby frying back before slowly opening the door. One step at a time, blondie made her way downstairs. Looking around the corner, she saw Jack sitting, faced away from her.

"An intruder!" she thought. "Don't panic Rapunzel, don't panic!"

She slowly walked over, careful not to make a sound. Jack remained sitting mumbling to himself.

"Alone," he groaned under his breath. "Why must I be alone?"

Pascal walked in front of Jack before making a sound. It got his attention, making him look at the chameleon.

"Hey little guy," Jack said. "You lost?"

With his guard down, Rapunzel whacked his head with the frying pan. This sent down to the floor hard.

"Hey, who did that?" he asked while rubbing his head.

Jack got up and turned around to see Rapunzel in a fighting stance.

"Hey, hey!" he said. "I'm not gonna hurt you!"

"How do I know you aren't lying?!" she asked.

Jack placed his stick on the floor before holding his hands up.

"What do you want with my hair?!" she asked.

"Your hair?" he asked in a confused tone. "What are you talking about?"

"Do you want to sell it?!" she asked. "Maybe even cut it!"

"No, I don't even want your hair!" he answered.

"You don't?" she asked, still keeping a focused face.

"No, I said I-"

He froze in place before looking at her in shock.

"Y-you can see me?" he asked.

"Uh, yeah," she answered. "Of course I can."

Jack covered his mouth before backing up. He began crying again, this time tears of joy.

"You can see me!" he said, before jumping joy.

Rapunzel and Pascal looked at him with a confused tone.

"Oh my god you can!" Jack said before doing a triple back flip.

Rapunzel picked up Pascal before turning around. Jack remained hopping around, unable to contain his excitement.

"I don't think he's here to hurt us," she whispered.

Pascal nodded in agreement before Rapunzel turned around. She placed the frying pan down and walked over.

"Rapunzel," she introduced, holding her hand out.

"Jack Frost," he replied.

Jack held her hand seeing it not phase through her.

"Oh my god!" he cheered. "I can feel you too!"

"This is getting awkward," she thought while trying to stay calm.

Rapunzel then got an idea, it was crazy, but it also might work.

"Mr. Frost," Rapunzel said, beginning a new conversation. "Would you be caring enough to take me on an adventure?"

"I would love too!" he answered.

Rapunzel climbed up the wall to show Jack the paintings of the stars.

"Do you know where these stars come from?" she asked.

"Stars?" Jack asked in a confused tone. "Those are lanterns, the King and Queen set them off every year on the same date."

"I knew it!" she said under her breath. "Well I think they have something to do with me. Every year on my birthday the lanterns are set off. I want to travel to the castle to speak with the King and Queen. Would you happen to know where they'd be located?"

"Yeah, I can guide you there," he answered.

"Yes! Thank you so much!" Rapunzel said while cheering.

She ran over to give Jack a big hug. He was confused by this, but decided to let her be. He also hugged her back, loving the feeling of a warm hug.

"We can leave first thing in the morning," he said.

Rapunzel remembered Mother Gothel would be back soon, only giving them so much time.

"No!" she said.

He looked at the blondie with a confused expression.

"I-I mean why wait?" Rapunzel asked. "Let's leave today, right this instant!"

Jack took a moment to think about that. He realized traveling with her would help him get in a better mood and talk to someone in more than one way.

"You're right, the sooner we leave the better!" he said.

"Perfect!" she said while cheering.

Jack got on the ledge of the window.

"Take my hand," he said while reaching out to her. "I can fly."

"No, but thank you," she replied. "I have a way of getting down."

Jack was concerned but decided to let her be. He jumped out the window before flying to the grass.

"I wonder how she's gonna-"

He was interrupted when he heard Rapunzel's cheers. Jack turned around to see Rapunzel swinging down with her hair. Her face was full of delight, feeling the air against her body. Once rear the ground, she gently tapped it. Stepping on the ground, Rapunzel took a moment to feel the soft grass on her skin.

"Oh my god….." she said in amazement. "My whole life I've been isolated in the tower…my feet have never felt the outdoors…..I'm free."

Tears of joy formed before she ran around. She skipped full of energy, doing many laps around the tower. She also did a dance before getting tangled in her long hair. Jack smiled, happy she was finally is free from isolation.

"I don't believe it!" she said, still crying. "After almost 18 years, I'm able to feel the outdoors! I'm outside!"

Jack walked up to her, making Rapunzel face him.

"With all the energy we should make it to the castle in no time," he said, making her even more excited.

"Then what are we waiting for?" she asked. "Let's go!"

They began walking off to the castle, both psyched for what was to come. Rapunzel then remembered what Gothel told her.

"What if mother finds out?" she asked herself mentally.

"You okay?" Jack asked, noticing her expression.

He decided she'd be alright if she was careful Gothel didn't learn anything.

"Yeah, sorry," Rapunzel answered. "Got distracted."

And with that, both dashed off. In fact, they were going so fast Rapunzel didn't notice Pascal fly off her. He got upset, but soon as a white horse walked around. He was able to get the horse's attention and learn his name was Maximus. He agreed to help Pascal find Rapunzel as the two joined forces.

As for Jack and Rapunzel, they were so lost in happiness. The two finally had the perfect person to speak to. After being alone for so long, they had someone who perfectly understood what they were feeling. It felt like nothing but pure happiness and smooth sailing to the castle.
