I do not own any of these characters, they are owned by people far more worthy than myself although the story is mine.
She stood idly on the parapet and stared off into the distance, her dazzling blue eyes blank as her thoughts were a million miles away. On an island in fact, in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle. Themyscira, home of the amazons. Her home.
She was missing her sisters and her mother keenly but they had cut her off from them forever when she had chosen to bring men to the island which was expressly forbidden. She thought of the cool breezes off the oceans and neglected to feel the cool breeze that was currently caressing her face. She lost herself in memories for awhile, a singular gift that she did not indulge in often as she was very much a person who lived in the now. Her raven curls whipped in front of her face and she didn't even feel the scrutiny of a fellow teammate as her eyes stared forward.
The shadows obscured him completely, one of his gifts, as he watched the unhappiness on her face. It was a truly remarkable face, he thought clinically. Perfectly sculpted, she was perhaps the most beautiful woman on earth with her raven curls and bright blue eyes. She wore a simple outfit that declared where she came from, her golden tiara marked her as a princess while the brief armor she wore had two golden W's curving over her breast, labeling her as Wonder Woman.
He stood in the shadows for some time, completely aware that this woman who could sense when someone was behind her, was blissfully inured to his presence. His dark cowl, the part of him that he sometimes forgot what it was like to be without, pressed heavy on his face and his black cloak was wrapped entirely around his muscular body. He was taller than she, a fact which he knew she found disconcerting and used to his advantage. He looked more powerful than she did although he did match her effortless grace from his constant practice of asian martial arts but in truth, she could easily ram him into a building although he thought he might actually be more dangerous than she because of her code. She had the clearest eyes he had ever seen. He shook his head as the thought appeared out of nowhere and backed carefully away, further into the shadows, until he disappeared completely.
