Craw sighed. After a very long and tiring discussion with Lillith and team Second Chance they decided to still do a collaboration between the teams but under two conditions: First Kathrin and Brighton wouldn't come to it and second Cassandra and Rodriguez the Quilava wouldn't join either. As Lillith told him Rodriguez and Cassandra were a pair and that they would do everything for each other Craw decided that it would be better to let the two behind for now. Craw growled. That was a huge problem. Kathrin and Brighton were two of the powerhouses of the team and as far as he knew from what Lillith told him Rodriguez was one of the strongest members of the other team as well. That made both teams much weaker and they had to worry a bit about their strength. He had to work harder on the exploration... He also would have to rely more on Fletcher as now fastest member of the team. Luckily Rex was very strong too so the team had at least two very strong members. Damion and Hoshi were pretty adaptive so they could do some damage but he would prefer to let Hoshi stay with Ariela as healers... The other team didn't have a healer and only one supporter and now only one powerhouse. One of them was pretty fast but not even quiet as fast as Brighton and the last was a tank so Craw had to put them in the right positions to make sure that the team was well balanced. He would take the lead followed directly by Damion. The Mienfoo would be on third position since he was pretty fast and could help in the front as well as in the middle if they got surprised from the side. Ariela would take the fourth position followed by the Simisage on the fifth since he was the powerhouse of the other team and should protect Ariela and Hoshi if needed. The Meowstic would be on the sixth position since that was the best position for him to be able to support everyone of the team with his moves. Hoshi would come behind him concentrating on the back of the group to heal them if needed with her herbs. Then Fletcher would be on the eighth position to be able to take care of the back and middle of the group if needed. Rex would be on ninth position and on the tenth position would be the Carracosta who was the tank and would be able to protect the group from someone falling into their back. Craw sighed. If he just would have Brighton in the team then he would be able to put him in the middle to make sure that the healers and the supporter were save... Kathrin could help him with the front and Rodriguez could help in the back of the group... Cassandra was very flexible and fast as well making her another good addition to the middle but he would have to miss them out as well... Maybe he could at least take Rodriguez with them to save the back more but that would need a lot of negotiation with the other team... Someone knocked at the door and probably it was Ariela. "Yes?"
The door opened and Anubis stepped in.
Craw sighed. He already guessed what would come now.
Anubis closed the door behind himself and sighed. He slowly let himself sink on the chair and looked to Craw for a moment. "Good to see you are using your office... I already worried that you would do all your work from your room..."
Craw shrugged. "I divide my work on both rooms but if I need to think about something alone then I do it here mostly." He looked to the Lucario. "So... Are we gonna talk about what happened or do you want to distract more from what happened till we come to that point?"
Anubis frowned. "Yeah... What are we gonna do now? Sure... Cassandra don't want that Kathrin gets punished but still... We have to think of something because of that..."
Craw sighed and let his head sink onto the table. "Why you ask me?"
Anubis looked to him. "When we have to punish a member of a team we always speak with their leader about that first."
Craw frowned. "I don't know. I really don't. Did Lillith tell you why that happened?"
Anubis nodded. "She and Cassandra both did. Cassandra even tried to protect her and tried to take all the fault for it."
Craw looked to him. "She really regrets what happened back then huh?"
Anubis just nodded.
Craw sighed again. "I actually would like the two of them to speak about it so they can solve it themselves but I fear that would break Kathrin... She went through too much the last weeks..."
Anubis sighed. "That were my exact thoughts. Also I don't think that Kathrin would hold back when they meet again."
Craw shook his head. "I could use my absolute authority but I am not sure if that helps solving the problem itself..."
Anubis nodded. "Yeah I think so too..."
Craw stood up and stretched himself. "How about we try to talk with Kathrin about this? After all she is the reason for all of this. Also if we talk with her we might be able to talk about the problem and maybe we can find a solution for her to not attack Cassandra as soon as they meet accidentally..."
Anubis looked to him seemingly unsure about it. "Are you sure about this? I doubt that she will lose her hate for Cassandra that easily."
Craw shook his head. "I am not sure but if we do nothing then it will only get worse. Also I have faith in her. She got a lot better the last weeks. Mostly thanks to Brighton but she also seems to trust me and normally talks with me about her problems."
Anubis nodded slowly. "If you think that is the best way..."
Craw sighed. "It is the best I can think of right now... But let me talk with Cassandra first please. Also I need miss Serene to talk with her. I want to be sure that Cassandra won't lie to me."
Anubis nodded. "OK."
Brighton softly stroked Kathrin's head softly. She was cuddling onto his side and was still very angry and frustrated. "Do you feel better now?"
Kathrin growled. "Not really... I hate her... I hate her so much... I wish she would die right now..."
Brighton sighed. "That is understandable... After what she did to you... I don't know what I would have done..."
Kathrin sighed and cuddled more on his side. "Thank you for being here for me Brighton..."
He smiled a bit and kissed her cheek softly. "Of course I am here for you. I love you Kathrin. I would never leave you alone in times like these."
She blushed a bit and nuzzled onto his side. "I love you too."
Brighton just sat there and softly stroked her head. He felt that she needed this and he knew that it would be the best to let her decide how much contact she wanted.
Kathrin looked to him for some seconds. "Brighton? Why are you like this? Why are you holding back so much? You are always flirting with me and always show so much affection when we are in public... But once we are alone... When we are in bed... You don't do anything... You don't try anything..."
Brighton smiled calmly and nuzzled her softly. "Because I love you. I would never want to push you to do something that you don't want. It doesn't matter to me if we have sex or if we don't. If you feel ready for it then I will be there and then I will show you how wonderful it can be... Till then I will wait."
She blushed a bit and cuddled onto his side again. "Thank you... I don't know what I would do without you..."
Brighton smiled and put his arm around her pulling her into a hug softly nuzzling her. "Without you I wouldn't have much of a reason to continue. You are making my life wholesome."
She blushed and just wanted to reply something as someone knocked on the door. She sighed and looked to Brighton "That's probably Craw..."
Brighton nodded. "Let's get over it. The earlier we talk with him about it the faster we are finished with it."
She nodded.
Brighton didn't loosened the hug. "Come in."
Craw slowly opened the door peeking in. "Are you OK?"
Kathrin sighed. "Come in already..."
Craw entered and closed the door behind himself. "I know you would rather like to be alone right now but we have to talk about it..."
Kathrin nodded nervously.
Craw sighed. "Anubis is here. He wanted to know how we should react to all this. You can't get away without a punishment but because of the circumstances and because Cassandra told him that you had all rights to do that-"
Kathrin wanted to say something but Craw just lifted a paw.
"Don't. She doesn't do it because she wanted you to forgive her she just did so because she really thinks that you had all rights to do so. Because of that he is very conflicted about how to punish you." Craw looked to her. "I have an idea about what to do but for now I need you to something else. You won't like it and you can see it as part of your punishment. We need team Second Chance as support. The whole team. So please hear me out till the end. Can you do that without freaking out?"
Kathrin looked to him. "What are you planning?"
Craw sighed. "Promise me that you will listen to what I say till the end."
Kathrin needed a moment before she nodded. "OK I promise."
Craw took a deep breath. "I don't want you to forgive her nor I want you to suffer more but for the sake of the team but more importantly for your sake and for you to get over all of this once and for all I want you to work out your problems with Cassandra..."
Kathrin glared at him and growled. "You can't be-"
"I wasn't finished yet! Listen till I am finished. Like I said I don't want you to forgive her nor I want you to suffer. I want that you talk with her. I want you to talk with her about every little problem you have with her. About everything you had to go through because of her. I know you might not believe it now but she really changed. I had the chance to talk with her and Miss Serene was with me. She was reading her mind thanks to Miracle Eye so she couldn't hide anything. She regrets a lot of things but the thing she regrets the most is what she did to you. Speak with her and tell her what happened with you. Get everything out of your head. I want that you get all this hate out of you till you are able to work with her on at least a professional level. Just speaking with her about everything can help you to finally get over it. You can finally close a chapter of your life that was open for a much too long time." He sighed. "About the punishment for you... You will have to help her team with their paperwork for a week. As I heard they all are not very good with that type of things and they are especially bad with mission reports. That way you can make it up for them Since till she is physically recovered the team also have to miss her out of missions. You don't need to deal with Cassandra while working out their paperwork. I took care of that... But maybe you will learn a bit about what Cassandra is doing here all the time."
Kathrin grit her teeth.
Craw looked to her for some seconds. "Would you be able to accept this as your punishment?"
Kathrin took a deep breath. "Can Brighton be there too? I mean when I talk with her?"
Brighton looked to her a bit confused and surprised. He knew that Kathrin would need someone to support her but he thought that she would have wanted Craw to be there.
Craw nodded. "Sure. I wouldn't have expected something else. After all he is the one who makes you feel save enough to get through this without beating her up again."
Kathrin nodded.
Brighton softly nuzzled her. "Thank you for your trust but are you sure?"
Kathrin blushed and nodded. "You are the only one who is able to make me feel save..."
Brighton nodded. He felt very good that she thought that way about him but at the same time he felt pity for her that she needed him this way.
Craw stretched himself. "OK. Then let's talk with Anubis about this."
Brighton took her paw. "Are you ready?"
Kathrin nodded still nervous.
Brighton sighed. "Good. I will bring her in." He went to the base door. The others of the team have left already so Brighton and Kathrin were alone and wouldn't be disturbed. He took a deep breath and opened the door.
Cassandra was standing outside calmly waiting
Brighton glared at the Umbreon. "She is ready. I will stay with you two for two reasons. First I want to prevent her to beat you up again but just because I don't want that she has to be punished again. Second I am here to support her. What you did to her... it scarred her for her life." He turned around and went back to Kathrin. He could hear Kathrin taking a sharp breath as he sat down next to her. He was a bit stunned as he saw Cassandra standing right behind him. He didn't hear her following him nor he heard how she closed the door. She was so silent if he wouldn't see her he wouldn't know that she was there right now.
Kathrin glared at the Umbreon.
Cassandra on her side stood there still. It seemed like if she didn't want to start the conversation.
Brighton was sitting next to Kathrin and looked from one of the females to the other.
Kathrin took a deep breath. It was visibly hard for her to keep calm. "Sit down."
Cassandra sat down on an armchair. Again she seemed to wait for Kathrin to say something.
Kathrin glared at her. "You have any idea how much I hate you?"
Cassandra looked to the Eevee. "I know that you must hate me and you have all right to do so but no... I never had to suffer something like you had to so I don't know how much you hate me..."
Kathrin grit her teeth. "It wasn't just the rape. I trusted you. You were like my sister and my parents at the same time! I lost my family and you became my new family! AND THEN YOU SOLD ME!" She was panting heavily. "You can't even imagine how I felt! I can't even describe it!" She trembled. "I was broken and lost... I felt betrayed and I couldn't trust anyone anymore!" She pressed herself onto Brighton's side still trembling. She couldn't bear it anymore and needed to feel Brighton's warmth, his heartbeat to feel safe. Just the thought of what happened back then brought all the emotions back. "I was alone... hurt... There was no place I was safe..." She started crying now.
Brighton put an arm around her and softly stroked her head with his other hand. He glared at the Umbreon. He would have said something but he knew that Kathrin wouldn't want him to. He knew right now she would need him to just be there for her and let her lean onto him.
Cassandra didn't move but her face showed how much it hurt her.
Kathrin needed some minutes to calm down again. "You have no idea how much I suffered from that... I wasn't able to trust anyone for years... I feared everyone... I needed six years till I was able to trust Ariela enough to talk with her and another year to be able to talk to a male without thinking that they all just want to fuck me." She growled. "It needed Craw and Brighton to open up again and be able to talk with others without wanting to run away! You have any idea how frustrated I was? How frustrated I am?" She looked to Brighton. "It needed Brighton to finally be able to feel safe again... It needed him to not have nightmares of that day over and over again..." Kathrin cuddled onto Brighton searching for his strength and warmth. "What do you have to say to that? What ridiculous excuses you have for that?" As she looked back to Cassandra she could see how much it hit the Umbreon.
Cassandra showed a face that was more than Kathrin would have expected. There was so much pain in her face like if Kathrin just impaled her with something stump into the chest. "There is no words that I could say about it. There is no excuse for my sins..."
Kathrin growled. "You are damn right..."
Brighton looked from Cassandra to Kathrin. He wasn't sure anymore if it was right. Sure... What Cassandra did to Kathrin was horrible but to him it looked like if the Cassandra that did this horrible thing died a long time ago. It seemed like if the Cassandra that was sitting in front of him right now was someone completely different that really regretted what she did. He wanted to say something but Kathrin was faster.
"I wished so much that you died. I wanted to see you dead. Even now I want to see you suffer. I want to see you suffer as much as I suffered. I wish someone would-" Kathrin squeaked.
Brighton had pulled her into a hug. "Kathrin. Stop... It is enough. You let the hate overwhelm you. Don't... Just don't. I know you had to go through a lot but nobody deserves what you had to go through. Not even her."
Kathrin became very quiet all of a sudden. All her limbs became numb for some reason. What was she doing? Brighton was right... She shouldn't... Nobody should have to go through this... Even though Cassandra sold her to that Nidorino back then so the Nidorino could rape her she didn't deserve that... She looked to Brighton and Brighton looked back to her. His eyes showed this endless sympathy and love that always seemed to be in his eyes for her. Tears appeared in her eyes and she cuddled onto him digging her face into his side. "I will never forgive you Cassandra. That is just impossible for me." She took a deep breath. "But for the sake of my team and for my own sake I will be professional. Don't talk with me ever again if it isn't because of work. Don't ever expect me to be nice to you. And for your own sake do never talk to me about our past. For me you are dead and it would be better if it stays this way." She then stood up and went into her and Brighton's room.
For a moment Brighton sat on the couch waiting for Kathrin to close the door. As he heard the sound of the door closing he sighed and stood up. "I can see that you really regret it. It doesn't change what you did to her and I am not the one to decide that anyway but in my opinion it makes it a bit better. You can't expect to ever be on good terms with her again nor you can expect her to forgive you but that you regret it shows that you take it serious and that you aren't fully bad. But that is just my opinion and I am not to judge about it." He turned to follow Kathrin. "You know where the exit is." Then he just followed Kathrin into their room letting Cassandra alone with her remorse.
It needed about a week till Kathrin had calmed down from that enough to be able to work on a professional level again. Craw didn't know if she really was OK but she was acting like if she was and according to Brighton and Ariela she was stable for now. While Kathrin had to write team Second Cance's mission reports either Craw, Brighton or Ariela were with her to work as emotional support. They themselves made mission reports and paperwork but only for team Aura Guardian. It was Kathrin's punishment after all and even though the team wanted to help Kathrin had to do this on her own. Kathrin seemed to get along with the most of the team and even though she gave Cassandra death stares here and then she stayed on a professional level when she had to deal with her. Only Rodriguez who wanted to protect and defend Cassandra got in argues with Kathrin some times. Cassandra quickly solved the problem by just dragging him away or scolding him harshly but at the next time he and Kathrin met it just continued. It needed some harsh words from Lillith at the end of the week to make him stop.
Craw who had the possibility to watch the team a bit while they waited for the expedition to start came to the conclusion that the team was actually pretty similar to his team. They had their jokes and they had their little argues but in the end they always cared for each other and they always tried to cheer each other up when someone was frustrated about something. He quickly learned that Rod was the second in charge of the team and that the Simisage with the name Veg was the leader. Craw always had to suppress a chuckle when he heard the name since he learned that his actual name was Vegetable. His parents didn't treat him well and he ran away from home just to become a member of a gang and later their leader. He was pretty tough, intelligent and pretty friendly but he lacked a bit in diplomacy. The Carracosta who heard of the name Juel was more of the quiet type and Craw didn't talk much with him but as far as he heard from the other team members he was very protective and caring for the team after he lost his family in the war. Before he entered the guild he seemed to be part of some illegal underground fight club earning his money with fighting for his life against feral and other Pokémon. The Meowstic was named Rupert and was probably the one with the toughest life of them all. He grew up in an orphanage first but ran away since everyone picked on him. He was living on the streets since then always getting in trouble with some gangs and stealing food and money for survival. He was a pretty skilled pickpocket even though he didn't do that anymore except when a mission required it. Beside that he was also pretty intelligent and worked as main tactician in the team. Ilma the Mienfoo was a tough fighter and remembered Craw a lot on Kathrin even though she was just 14 like Damion. They both got along pretty well even though she seemed to care a lot about Cassandra and tried to convince Kathrin that she was a good Pokémon. She also seemed to have some talent when it came to lock picking and Even though Craw never learned what she did in her past he already had a hunch. Rod was the biggest surprise for Craw. He was the son of a noble family that got killed by assassins. He was the only surviving member and he had to live in the streets always hiding in fear that someone could come back to end his life as well. He became extremely strong just to revenge his family by killing the noble that assigned the assassins. While he was sitting in jail waiting for his death sentence Lillith heard of his story and with the help of Anubis he got out of jail under the premise that if he would do anything illegal again Lillith would execute the death sentence. Beside that he was a bit aggressive but also very helpful and protective especially over Cassandra who he loved. Cassandra herself was trying to avoid Craw and the rest of team Aura Guardian as good as possible and Craw only learned about her that she was living in the streets a long time mostly surviving by stealing or making deals with gangs. She was very sneaky and able to obtain everything the team needed even though she kept it a secret where she got the items. Beside those the team had four more members but one of them, Ray a Swampert, was on a solo mission and wouldn't come back before end of the month. The other three were still in probation and weren't allowed to go on the expedition. One was a Trapinch and used to trap travelers in his sand traps to steal their stuff. He was the newest member of the team and even though he seemed to be OK Lillith didn't seem to trust him fully yet. The other two were a sibling pair of Toxel who were the youngest members of the team and were responsible for poisoning a village after they got beaten up by the villages kids and got kicked out there. In response of how the village treated them like garbage they poisoned the village's fountain and nearly killed some Pokémon with that. Lillith protected the two from the wrath of the villagers and took them in since they were still kids and since them the team is raising them like if they are the kids of the whole team. They are doing pretty fine but seem to have problems with authority what makes it hard to send them on missions yet. Craw was glad that his team was getting along with team Second Chance except of course for two Pokémon. He would have to position Kathrin and Cassandra as far from each other as possible if he would take both of them on the expedition and since they were in danger of running into an Aura-less they would need everyone he could get. He sighed nervously and checked his papers again. "What do you think Veg? This way we get the best out of everyone's strengths."
The Simisage looked at everything. "Yeah... I would prefer to be on top but you are the stronger fighter and your ability to sense auras will be best used on top..."
Craw sighed. "Well there are two main issues. Aura-less don't have an aura so I wouldn't be able to sense them anyways and my aura ability is blocked at the moment."
Veg looked to him with a mixture of discomfort and curiosity. "Why that?"
Craw sighed. "It's a long story but to make it short I used an item for something that has the drawback to block my aura abilities for some time... It will need at least two more weeks till it comes back..."
Veg sighed and nodded. "Well we don't know how long this expedition will take... Maybe we just need some days but maybe we are away for a month or even more..."
Craw nodded. "That is why I would prefer to use Fletcher as messenger to the guild. He isn't as fast as Brighton but Brighton hasn't mastered his Fly move item yet and I wouldn't want him to fly longer distances if there is the risk of him losing concentration mid flight."
Veg nodded. "I understand what you mean... It wouldn't just take us one of our strongest fighters but also would endanger him to crash and maybe even die..."
Craw nodded. "Fletcher is very skilled at flying and he is very intelligent. He might have been a feral but he is as reliable as anyone else of our teams."
Veg just nodded again.
Craw sighed. "We definetely have to watch out that Ariela, Hoshi and Rupert. Ariela and Hoshi are the only ones who are able to cure more serious wounds and Rupert is a good support but not a very good fighter as far as I saw it."
Veg sighed. "Yeah... He is very smart but his psychic powers are pretty underdeveloped for a Meowstic..."
Craw stretched himself. "That is why I would like to position Rod and you with them as well as Damion and Ilma. Cassandra should be with Fletcher and Juel to cover the backside of the group and I will be with Brighton and Kathrin at the front. Rex could be at front or back side. He is pretty strong but also flexible. Or he could replace you in the squad that protects our healers and our supporter so you can come to the front too."
Veg nodded. "I would like that more than sitting around in the middle without any action..."
Craw wrote everything down. "Good. Then that is settled. Now to our supplies. We should prepare for a long trip so we need enough water."
Veg shrugged. "We have two water types so that shouldn't be much of a problem."
Craw nodded. "What about food?"
Veg nodded. "That could be more of a problem but since there is a sitrus berry forest right before our destiny we could use that to refresh our food supplies right before we enter the dungeon if we find one."
Craw tilted his head. "Yeah... Even though I would like to save them for in fight healing."
Veg shrugged. "Yeah they would be more of emergency stock but it would be good to take as much of them with us as possible."
Craw sighed and nodded. "Yeah... Still I would prefer if we use them for healing... How about travel rations? Dried food something like that. Do you have an idea where to get that?"
The Simisage scratched his chin thinking about it for a bit. "Well maybe the guild has some in store... But I would recommend to ask the traveling traders about that stuff... They maybe know where to get that."
Craw nodded. "Yeah good idea. If we can use that instead of sitrus berries then we can keep the sitrus berries for later. After all they are so healthy that they push your stamina... would be a shame to waste them just as food..."
Veg nodded. "Yeah. You are really thinking about everything three times don't you?"
Craw laughed. "You are not the first one saying something like that." He sighed and shook his head. "I just try to be best prepared."
Veg looked to him for a moment before he took the next sheet. "OK... What about equipment?"
Craw smiled. "Yeah... I will take some extra things with me but my team has equip for each member. How about your team? You all have what you need?"
Veg shrugged. "Mostly. We could need some things that would really push us to our best but for this expedition it should be enough."
Craw looked to him. "You should ask Lillith for a credit for the exploration. Both teams should be best equipped. If we run into an Aura-less we will need it... Did you ever see one?"
Veg shook his head. "I heard you fought one... Is it true that you beat him in a one on one?"
Craw sighed. "Yeah... but only because I have my own power enhancer." He showed him the pendant that was still hanging around his neck. "That thing can push my powers to an absolute maximum. Without that thing I wouldn't have survived the fight and even though I had it I nearly died. My arm was broken on several points and I am very lucky that I didn't lose it."
Veg looked to Craw's pendant. There was a shine in his eyes that Craw didn't like.
Craw sighed. "Well sadly the power enhance only works on Pokémon that's aura has the same wave as it has. It is like a one on a billion chance to find someone else that can use this very power enhancer." He smiled and looked to Veg. "But Anubis told me if you find one in a dungeon then it will calibrate on your aura. Sadly they are only found in treasure rooms of high rank dungeons that have incredibly high amount of floors."
Veg nodded still looking at the enhancer. "I really wish I had one." He sighed and shook his head. "Well then... I think that should be all?"
Craw nodded. "A lot wish that. But it has a hard drawback. When I use it I get pumped full with energy but when the time runs nearly all my energy will be used up so I fall unconscious. So I can only use it in emergency cases."
Veg nodded. "Good to know. So you will probably only use it if we run into Aura-less..."
Craw stretched himself. "Yeah..." He sighed. "Well I think we have all planned now... We will stand up early tomorrow to prepare ourselves to have everything for the expedition."
Veg nodded and stood up. "That's a good idea."
Craw sighed as he finally entered his room. It was nearly midnight and Ariela was already sleeping. The meeting with Veg took longer than he expected. He out his badge and pendant on the bedside table before he lay down next to her. He took care to not wake her and softly snuggled onto her before he closed his eyes. It didn't need long till he drifted off into dreamland. As he opened his eyes again he found himself in a corridor of the hospital that he already knew from his dreams. He looked around seeing many others walking around. Most of them were either doctors, nurses or patients but also some others that seemed to visit patients. He sighed and looked at the door on the other side of the corridor. Dr. White was written on the shield. He was very nervous for some reason. Was this maybe the day he learned about his illness?
After a while the door opened and a man in a white coat stood in the door. "Craw Black?"
Craw nodded and went inside.
The doc sat down on a table and sighed.
Craw looked at him. "So it is serious... What is it?"
The man looked at him. "A tumor. We are not sure if it is a benign tumor or a malignant tumor but it is on a position that makes it hard to operate. Also it is what causes the epileptic seizures and it will get worse. I would recommend you to stay here till we find a specialist that can operate you. While that we would like to try radiation to make it shrink what would raise the chances for you."
Craw sighed and nodded. "Do whatever... I don't have much to live anyways..."
Dr. White looked at him. "With a bit of luck you will be able to live a long and normal life so don't give up yet."
Craw shook his head. "It's not that... I just don't have much to live for."
The doc sighed again. "You are still very young and a lot can change. Don't give up just yet."
Craw nodded. "Yeah... Everyone is saying that."
Dr. White shook his head. "However... Since you are still 16 you are a bit too young for the normal cancer station and I would like you to stay in the section for children and teenagers. Is that OK with you?"
Craw nodded slowly. "I don't have any problem with that."
The doc nodded and led him to a waiting room. "Good. Please wait here. Nurse Serene will show you your room then."
He nodded and sat down on a chair. He sat down and sighed. "Fuck."
A blonde boy who just passed by the room entered and grinned. "Patient or visitor?"
Craw looked to him. He knew him already. He is the one that is named like Brighton in his dreams. "Patient."
Brighton sat down next to him. "Oh... Well it's not that bad here. Lot's of funny people here. If you just forget that we all probably gonna die soon this is like vacation just with homework. They bring you homework and we have a private teacher here. But beside that everyone is nice."
Craw looked to him confused. "You are always looking at the bright side of the life huh?"
Brighton chuckled. "Yeah. I always like to play the happy guy. Makes everything look a bit brighter as it is. Get it? Because my name is... Oh right I didn't tell you my name yet. Damn totally ruined the joke. My name is Brighton."
Craw grinned a bit amused. "Yeah. I am Craw."
Brighton grinned. "Craw... sounds interesting. You know? Names are important. You may just see it as your name but in your subconsciousness you identify yourself with it and live your life to it. Take my name for example. Brighton shows happiness and luck but also passion and the will to fight. Even before I started to think about my name I was living my life with a smile on the face even in the worst times. I never gave up and everything I do I do with all the power I have. Your name is strong and shows authority. The cr shows that. It is sharp and strong sounding. On the other hand the aw is soft showing that you are caring but also shows some thirst for knowledge."
Craw lifted an eyebrow. "Is that so?"
Brighton chuckled. "Yeah. You are surely a good person."
Craw sighed. "If you say so." He shook his head and chuckled. "You are pretty funny."
Brighton grinned amused.
"I see you already met Brighton."
Craw looked to the door.
A young nurse stood there watching the two of them. "I am Serene. Good that you two know each other already since you are sharing a room."
Craw looked to Brighton. "Well. At least it won't get boring so fast then."
Brighton grinned. "I bet we will get along very good. Our roommates are pretty nice too."
Craw nodded.
Author's note: Damn I needed long for writing this. I kinda lost motivation halfway through. But now I have my motivation back and hope that the next chapters will be finished faster.
