The angel trap awaits.

"Necessity is the mother of invention." I twisted away the knife into my hand, and got ready for the task.

There was a psychological test of creativity. The brick test. Imagine a brick. How many uses can you think for it? You can use it for building houses of course but that's only the surface. They can prop heavy things up, they can be used to tilt vehicles so you can do work on them, you could use them to smack someone's head in. I was always short on resources, and with the latest hopping thing was even more short on resources. I needed to use everything around me in ways not intended.

The angel trap was a harness around your body made of cow leather which was locked up by a padlock. It was cushioned enough in leather that it would be hard to bump it, especially without something heavy. Pressing into my chest were twelve bits of metal which had wires leading into my chest. They'd been wrapped around my ribs. These metal bits had wires going out to a motor which would, when commanded, rip my ribs out, leading to death.

There was hope yet though! If only Kerry was brave enough she could reach her hand into the acid in front of her and grab the key. Only, sucks to be her, Amanda hated her guts and actually it was a fake key so she'd die.

An unbeatable trap. Proof of the cruelty of Saw.

Unless you thought outside of the box.

With a few skills shielded by the little bit of power I'd hidden within her, and my increasingly competent antimagic I was ready. This antimagic didn't feel nuanced and complicated. Whoever was doing it was am amateur. They had the advantage that they could literally stab it in my blood, but they weren't actually that good at it. I'd been able to disrupt it even without a skill, and with it, the antimagic just couldn't keep up. I didn't even need pulses of power from Maturin.

I grabbed the acid and dipped my acid proof knife within. Getting a thin layer of aqua regia acid balanced on the blade, I got to work on the inner wires. The blade had been designed to careful specifications, being made very acid resistant and with a small grove on the inside that could hold a bit of acid to help me carve apart my bonds.

The video started. Billy the annoying doll started his spiel.

"Hello, Kerry. I want to play a game. Up until now, you have spent your life among the dead, piecing together their final moments."

I felt annoyance inside me from Kerry. "I know, he's killing you because you stop serial killers? What's with that?"

I managed to snap one wire. I made a loose knot with the remaining wire in my chest, keeping it taut. This body was like a battleship. Physically pumped up, smart, wise, and pretty lucky. I easily spot the trip wires on the plates, ready to release a secondary trap if I just tore them acid weakened it enough for me to break it with my knife. A bit of acid dripped on me, but my enhanced toughness let me shrug them off.

"You're good at this because you, like them, are also dead. Dead... on the inside. You identify more with a cold corpse than you do with a living human."

"That's really emotionally hurtful, Jigsaw. Maybe I just like working hard, and my kids are kinda tiring and shitty. Who would want to be at home when you could be fighting bad guys?"

I unhooked another hook with my acid knife.

I felt Allison push back against my will. She had a mind like a hammer. I let her speak.

"You're him aren't you! The planewalker. Adam predicted everything about this. You must then know." She paused. "Where is Eric Matthews?"

"He's doing a very important task for me right now. Some very bad people are hurting a lot of people and trying to burn down another world. He'll be back later." I pushed my last memories of him to her as I got to work on the next hook.

Unlike most people, she didn't immediately get lost in them.

"Wait! There's a secondary wire there." She said.

Perk option gained. Detective's eye. Intelligence perk. Rather than focusing on everything at once, you can narrow your obsession down to a single target. Grants an escalating int bonus up to 10 the longer you study something.

Neat

I looked closer. Jigsaw, you tricky son of a bitch. He'd started putting in secondary traps to stop me from just hulking my way out. I bypassed it, and continued. She had some solid police observation skills, not as rare as mine, but well practiced over years.

The doll spoke some more.

"I believe you want to join your true family, indeed your only family, in death. The device you are wearing is hooked into your ribcage, and by the time this tape is finished, you will have one minute to find a way out."

I nodded as I unhooked the fifth wire. "This is why we don't wait for spooky dolls to finish speaking."

"You have a lot of experience with this. You must know so much. We'll get through this and save a lot of lives."

The doll droned on.

"At the end of that minute... you should know better than anyone what happens then. There is a simple key that will unlock the harness, Kerry. It is right in front of you."

"I can take the pain if it gets me closer to stopping Jigsaw."

"Why would you even do that? Just pour out the acid. You've read enough Jigsaw case files. Get on the acid pouring before he finishes and grab it quick. It's a fake key anyway. Probably. I dunno. Who cares?"

"Oh. Yes good trap bypass. I know a few of his victims who did that. Adam Stanheight, David Tapp, Laura Hunter. Wait that was you?"

"You win a prize. You get to not die."

I went onwards with the trap defanging. This was clearly not just Amanda's work, it was too good. Maybe Mark gave her some tips? With Allison and her years of experience though, we got through it. I felt her perk settle into me, with my ability to solve this trap growing with each second I spent studying it.

The doll went onwards as we finished off the trap.

"All you have to do is reach in and take it. But do it quickly. The acid will dissolve the key in a matter of seconds... Make your choice"

As they said their last words, and the minute timer began we finished tying off the last cable. I began weakening the leather harness so we could get free at a moment's notice.

"Why don't we just get out?" She asked.

In our head I spoke. "Amanda might be watching. She was meant to be my woman on the inside but she's gone rogue. Otherwise, we could just pour the acid on the outside wires and get out that way. Would be easier as well."

"You're gonna ambush her?"

"Yeah. Just gotta play dead when she comes in to grab a jigsaw slice off your leg. Or if no one comes for a bit we can escape after."

"We could use the acid. She deserves it."

"That's very police cop of you, wanting to melt someone's face." Our communication was a bit faster, since it was via thoughts. That helped.

"Tapp was right. Sometimes you have to go beyond the law to get justice."

"The knife will do the job. There's a reason I got you to hide it down low."

"I still hurt there. It better be worth it. I've looked over the memories. Is he ok now?"

"Yeah. I haven't gotten contact with that world and my turtle brother by another mother for a while. I'm pretty worried. I hope they're ok. It's been a hard time. I've come straight here after hours of being stuck under that building. I could do with a vacation."

I heard the steps of a woman or a very lightly built man. I flicked away the knife behind my hand.

Amanda slowly walked in front of us, slow and confident, a smile on her face.

Allison looked up at her. "It's you."

With a burst of speed we lunged out at her, ripping apart the machine as we went, wires tearing, notifications flashing but ignored. Amanda put a hand up, but she hadn't expected this ambush, and I was in a very fast and very well prepared body now with monstrous stats.

I slammed into her with my shoulder, breaking apart her arm guard, ramming the knife into her gut. I pressed the button on the base and a surge of electricity ran through Amanda. She flopped around to the floor, and I quickly pressed her down, using my massively boosted strength to overpower her efforts. I knew she had a bunch of recovery perks so I was ready to inflict more damage. She spoke.

"I won't be a bad girl mommy. I won't." The indoctrination held.

"That was weird." Allison spoke in my head. "What sick fuckery are you doing with her? Not that I care, she's a killer but-"

"A magical fungi zombie from another world with a family complex rewired her brain to see me as her mommy and to send her back to when she was a child when around me." I said mentally back to her.

"That's insane."

"Welcome to my life. Wait till I tell you about our one true turtle god."

"Don't hurt me like everyone else did!" Amanda said, sobbing below me.

I drew the knife out, and the flesh quickly reknit. I stabbed her again in the chest higher up.

"Why did you weld the door shut? I told you not to. Tell me or you're going under the stairs again. I'll never let you out. You'll die in that darkness."

"I didn't do it! I didn't do it. Eric must have done it. Please don't lock me under the stairs again. There's spiders and rats there!"

I checked my rep with Amanda. It was still at fanatical.

I pulled the knife out of her chest, and she quickly healed.

"That's really messed up." said Allison in my head.

"It was actually pretty standard for family relationships for the girl who made Amanda this. Hopefully she's doing better now."

I looked down at the broken and battered Amanda, and I felt she totally deserved it because she was a serial killer and a horrible person. But, manipulation was needed.

"I can forgive you. But you're gonna have to hide this knife and hide it somewhere for me. So me and daddy Kramer can have a good time later."

"Anything for mommy and daddy!" She said, smiling.

"You know everything. I can just take her to the police and reveal it all." Allison said.

"I've tried to derail the future before. Adam and Gordon had a bunch of messages to people. It hasn't taken. I dunno why. It would be safer if you hid for a week or so. I even had someone try to kill Hoffman."

"What? Why. He's a good man."

"You didn't see him pocketing evidence on my last crime scene? He's dirty, and in with Jigsaw. I dunno how many others are."

"I'll take my chances. I'm taking Amanda as well."

"Definitely not. Moment I'm out of your head, she'll turn back to her normal self and stab you. She's basically unkillable as well. Zombie magic, remember?"

"You've leaving me?"

I nodded. "Yeah, soon." I spoke to Amanda, outloud. She took the knife and went off, hopping happily.

"Go run, little bunny. You have work to do." I started to feel the tug.

"I need to end this." She said.

I quickly said a number. "Call this number. Work with them. I've got it all planned out to live. If you go and do something stupid, we all might die. In both worlds. There's a lot riding on this.

She paused, and tried to negotiate. "You have a day, then I'm going up."

I shut her down. "No. I literally don't have control of where I'm going or when. Call the number and wait."

"That's not good enough. I need more answers." Fuck. I needed her to not fuck things up for me. If canon got messed up I was fucked. All the next few traps were made to kill.

An idea hit me, as I held back the tugging pulling me away. "I can send you to Eric Matthews." I bought the drop pods for her, and a shimmering turtle appeared in the air, ready to take her to the Stephenverse.

"Take this, and go. Go help them stop the burning one." Fuck. I was not earning enough perk points to run through so many. I hoped she could do something. My economy was stalling, and the enemy rush was at my base.

"This is impossible." She said.

I hoped she made the right choice as I was yanked away.

I awoke naked. I was cold, wet, and looking down, a naked woman. Boobies. My hands felt tight. Chains wrapped around them tight. I was in the freezer trap, just as expected. Except for one thing.

My ankle was chained to a pipe. A very solid, well made and durable looking pipe.

A tv turned on, and a voice started speaking. "Hello again Macgyver. I want to play a game."

Water sprayed from the nozzles on a pair of pipes, cooling me more and freezing me further.

They were onto me. They knew my secret. Never listen to the villain monologue. They were spraying me even before it ended.

Something was going right though. My tattoo was alive. I could feel Maturin again. Allison had done it.

Next chapter, the ice trap. And the return of turtle kun and the fate of Autumn vs a group of kids and some cops revealed.

DanielHimura. Canon is the main thing making it hard. He's pretty good at escaping traps, but escaping a bomb in a locked room is a bit harder, and he's facing competent opposition. Not competent in antimagic- the main way they stopped him was with an electrical trap and wooden boards hammered into the wall. And, he's gotten massive rewards from Saw 3 already. He's gotten a load of perks, a new skill lots of perk points, a bunch of levels and stats, and a bunch of strong cop allies who are indebted to him. The big rewards come from if he can

Guest. It would suck to murder people, but the main thing is, horror villains tend to be pretty strong but stupid, so he could just murder people since he's smarter. This story

Zandetsu. RE and mommy milkers does not seem to be popular in the polls. Most people want freddy and Jason beating on him.

Poundweed. At the top of my profile it should be there. A bunch of people have voted. And yeah, as above, most of his troubles were from canon. Bombs are scary. People felt the best vacation spot for Macgyver would be in the happy town of Springwood where the dreams are hot and masks are mandatory. He's pretty over leveled for most of the current traps though, so he's fine in difficulty. I have a whole backstory and stuff planned for Saw magic, but suffice it to say, Jigsaw is an engineer, not a wizard.

Next time, will ice and pipes be the death of Macgyver, and a surprise guest actor appearance.
