A/N: Welp it's been a while since the last update but I've been dealing with college graduation, then moving out of my apartment. Moving in someplace else and dealing with job assessments for onboarding before having to relocate again. Also my laptop decided now would be an opportune time to go kaput so that's great so I apologize for any errors as a good deal of the chapter was written on my phone before I was able to get the parts to fix my laptop.
Keeping it line with the story I am naming all OC that pop up for their 15 words of fame, like the reporters previously, within the same naming scheme as the show's.
Anyway regarding the story, yes Nora is a master of manipulation. How do you think she gets all those pancakes and syrup? Plus she knew if Pyrrha just let it be she'd always wonder what could've been regardless of how it turns out so she was trying to give her a push.
Yes Jacques is a piece of crap from what we've seen in the show. We may never have SEEN the abuse but we know he admitted to only marrying Willow to wrestle control of the SDC from her father. We also know he implemented some undesirable policies for faunus workers, as mentioned by Blake in episode 2 of season 1. Those being aside from how cruelly he treated his daughters and the schemes he had later on in the series.
That aside, yes aura can prevent you from getting harmed but I think it's something you make active, like it isn't up all the time. Therefore it's not something far fetched to think that Willow could get injured by Jacques. Maybe it's harder to focus while you're insanely drunk, I don't know \_(ツ)/.
I don't know about the mistake aspect but I've seen stories where they make mistakes but that's just me so once again I don't know. I like to think of the drunk marriages though as "happy little accidents" as Bob Ross once said and indeed I think Jaune getting hitched to Willow is working out well for the both of them. Jaune gets access to resources that help him get better as well as someone who genuinely will care for him and grow to love him. Willow on the other hand is able to have a true family once again as the blond knight brings everyone back together and has a caring and loving husband.
As far as those talking about Pyrrha being added to the marriage the actual end result may not come for a few chapters so you'll just have to wait and see as I lay out more story details. Said details might change your mind whichever way you might lean on the issue, and if not at the very least it will make for some interesting plot.
As always, feel free to leave a review, drop a private message with ideas, or suggestions, and enjoy the chapter!
Chapter 12
Beacon Academy
As Pyrrha made her way down the corridor towards the classrooms Jaune, Willow and Weiss were in, the mother daughter duo had made their way out of the classroom towards Jaune, both looking happier than before.
"Hey you two, everything good now?" Jaune asked as he saw the two exit the door behind him.
"Indeed Jaune, we are definitely now on the path to reconciliation now." Willow said with a smile on her face as she approached the blond knight.
"That's wonderful news." Jaune said with a big smile on his face as Willow wrapped him in a hug and Weiss looked the other way so as to not see the display.
After what Weiss deemed a little too long for a hug to last she coughed a little to bring the two back to reality, or so she thought.
"Weiss dear, if this is going to work you're going to have to get used to Jaune's presence and the affection we show for each other." Willow said with a small smirk as she put an arm around Jaune. It was a smirk that Weiss almost missed. Almost.
"As long as you don't do anything unsightly whilst in public maybe, just maybe I can get used to it." Weiss quipped back with a smirk of her own.
The sound of footsteps made its way to the trio's ears as they all turned to see Pyrrha walking towards them.
"Oh, hey Pyr." Jaune said as he turned to see his partner walking down the hallway. "We just wrapped up here if that was what you were going to talk about." Jaune said as he waved towards his partner.
"Now that's the look of a woman on a mission. This might be an issue or even better, it could be fun." Willow thought to herself with a smile as the redhead approached the group.
"Oh no. What did Ar- I mean Jaune do now?" Weiss thought to herself as she watched the redhead approach.
"Hello Jaune, Weiss, and Mrs. Schnee." Pyrrha said with a smile as she looked at the trio, one of her eyes twitching a bit as she noticed the arm Willow was still around Jaune.
"I've seen that smile before. It's the same one everyone uses when they see the press. The 'look I'm smiling but on the inside I'm not' smile. Well let's hear what the girl has to say." Willow thought as she responded to the redhead warrior.
"Good evening Ms. Nikos. If you are here to see your partner, that works out well. He just finished giving me and my daughter the push we both needed to start along our path of reconciliation so he is free now if you wish to speak to him. In Fact, I wish to spend a little time with my daughter and meet her teammates, so I'll leave you two alone." Willow said as she slipped arm out from around Jaune and began walking down the hall.
Weiss saw her mother wisely choosing to walk away and decided to quickly follow after her rather than see the Invincible girl's anger towards her partner, only to be surprised to hear Pyrrha call out after them.
"Actually Mrs. Schnee," Pyrrha said as the two white haired women turned to face her. "I actually wish to talk to you if you have a minute to spare."
"Oh?" Willow said as she looked at the redhead who had a very determined look in her eyes. "Well I believe that can be arranged, come along dearie." Willow said before turning to Weiss. "Weiss dear, why don't you go find your team and head back to your dorm. I'll be along shortly after I finish my conversation with Ms. Nikos here."
Then turning to Jaune, Willow said "And Jaune be a dear and find us a place to eat out in Vale later on tonight. I got some stuff to discuss with both you and Weiss and I'd like to do it over a nice dinner."
"Sure thing Willow. Just let me know when you're done with the conversation with Pyrrha so I can figure out a time to aim for." Jaune said with a wave of his hand as he began making his way back to his dorm to prepare for the dinner later that evening.
"I'll go find my team and get ready for tonight's dinner as well." Weiss said before giving a short bow and exiting down the same hallway the blond knight did.
"Well then," Willow said as she turned back towards Pyrrha, "Shall we have our conversation in the classroom or would you rather it happen out here in the hallway?"
"Let's talk in the classroom." Pyrrha said as she began walking towards the empty classroom Willow and Weiss had exited a few minutes ago.
"Now, where should I take Willow and Weiss out for dinner tonight?" Jaune thought to himself, before remembering that his dad took his mom someplace fancy for their anniversary. With that in mind he decided to give the man a call.
After finding and pushing the contact for his dad the scroll began to ring and after a few seconds someone on the other line picked up.
"Hello?" Nicholas said.
"Hey dad it's me." Jaune said as he walked down the classroom area's hallway.
"Hey son, what's going on? How ya been?"
"Pretty good dad. Willow and Whitley came by to visit after Winston snuck into my bag before I came back."
"And you didn't notice the dog in your bag because you were too busy trying not to get sick on the flight, correct?"
"Actually Klein gave me some medication to help with that so I was reading up on the books he gave me to help me understand business better. Being that I've married into the business world after all." Jaune said with a small laugh.
"He sounds like an even wiser man than what I thought he was when I met him. I'm glad he's helping you out. Anyway I assume the reason you called wasn't just to say hi correct? I mean we saw you not too long ago." Nicholas said with a little chuckle.
"Right as usual, pop. Do you remember the restaurant owner whose family you saved during that grimm attack a few years ago? The steakhouse you took mom to on your anniversary?"
"Yeah, his name was Van Slate. He runs the Silver Steakhouse in downtown Vale. Let me shoot him a text and I'll have him contact you. He'll be really excited to see you."
"Thanks dad. I appreciate your help with this."
"You know he had a daughter he wanted to set you up with after I saved him, right?" Nicholas said with a chuckle.
"Well I don't think that's an option anymore." Jaune replied with a small laugh of his own.
"No, no it's not. Speaking of that, can I assume it's a family event tonight?" Nicholas asked for the sake of letting Van know beforehand an A list known person was going to be attending so he doesn't panic.
"Yeah it will be. Willow wants me, her, and Weiss to go out to eat. Now that I think about it though Whitley is here so Willow might want all of us to go out. She may have just discussed the important matters already with Whitley."
"Well, ask him. I'll see if Van has room for three, maybe four guests tonight. Hopefully it'll be a slow week so he'll have room on his list."
"Thanks dad. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. Hopefully it won't cost too much."
"Oh please, this is Van we're talking about. If he can get the chance to serve his cuisine to world famous people and for them to talk about how good it is, he'll make it happen."
"I guess you're right. He does seem like that from the interactions I've had with him when he's come over to visit."
"Anyways son, I'll let him know. Go get ready for tonight." Nicholas said as he hung up the call with Jaune and began flipping through his contacts.
"Ah there he is." Nicholas said as he pushed the contact info and hit the call button.
After a few rings a click was heard and a man's voice came through the other end of the line.
"Hello?"
"Hey Van, it's Nicholas."
"Well well, if it isn't Nicholas Arc. How have you been, man? Haven't heard from you in the last month of two. Was starting to get worried that you fell protecting a town somewhere in the wild."
"No, thankfully that hasn't happened. Was dealing with some new family stuff." Nicholas said with a laugh.
"Another one? Dang man that makes what like nine kids now, right?"
"No no, not mine. We welcomed new members of the family through the other way. Marriage is what I meant, not adoption. Which I was probably not supposed to say. Aw man."
"Why? It's always a joyous occasion to welcome new loved ones to the family, isn't it?" Van asked, very confused.
"Well, it's not exactly public knowledge yet but, that's besides the point. You'll understand why it isn't public yet if you have space for a table for four tonight."
"For you my friend I'll roll out the VIP room. I'd be dead and my kids would be fatherless without you saving me from those grimm. AND DON'T you try to deny it Nick. You really saved my butt out there, the least I can do is roll out the VIP room for you when it's not being used. So just accept it."
"Yeah actually, I was going to ask if that room was open. You'll probably want to use it if it is."
"That important of a person huh? Well you did say it wasn't public knowledge yet so I'm guessing it's pretty big."
"Yeah, think like 'most powerful woman in the world' big. Jaune sure got himself into something there." Nicholas said with a little bit of a sigh.
"No shit? Jaune married Lisa Lavender?" Van asked, wondering how that came about.
"No Van, not Vale big I mean Remnant big. Like think Remnant big."
"I know man, I was just messing with you. So the rumors are true then huh? The SDC matriarch got married again and to your son of all people. Hey, any truth to the hero love story rumor Lisa talked about at that interview?" Van asked as his curiosity peaked.
"Hardly, although Jaune did save her from the White Fang attack so that part is true anyway."
"He got what? How is he? Is he okay?" Van asked, now a little worried.
"He's fine. From what he told me he took out like ten or so grunts to save Willow. Anyways man if you could prepare a table in the VIP room for Jaune, Willow and possibly two of her kids I'd owe you one.
"Yeah man, it's not a problem at all. Tell Jaune I'll make a reservation for 7:00 tonight. That'll give it some time to die down from the dinner rush so it won't be as crowded there for more people to spot them. Go ahead and send him my contact info too just in case he has any questions."
"Will do. Thanks again Van."
"Anytime friend." Van said as he hung up the call and began notifying some of the workers that were in the break room of the restaurant.
"Alright guys look alive." Van said as he entered the break room. "We got a very important guest coming tonight with her family so I'll need a few of you to help get the VIP room ready before we open for the dinner shift. I'm putting them down as being here at 7:00 so I'll want it ready by 6 just in case. And lastly everyone you've been doing an amazing job lately, let's keep it up." Van finished with a smile on his face as he watched several of the employees nod their heads at his words.
Meanwhile back at Beacon, Jaune got a text from his father saying he had a reservation at the Silver Steakhouse for 7:00 in the VIP room.
"No kidding? Van must've really decided to go all out then. This will be a great night. Van's cooking is great at the bbqs so dinner should be delicious." Jaune said to himself as he got back to his room to start preparing for later tonight.
Only opening the door he found Whitley sitting on his bed looking absolutely enthralled by a story Nora was telling.
"So there we were, twenty Beowolves and five of the biggest Ursa I've ever seen surrounding us."
"There were six beowolves and two ursa." Ren corrected.
"Jaune shouted out commands and we sprung into action. I shot eight beowolves with my grenades before turning my weapon back into a hammer and charging two of the ursa."
"She shot two and charged one of the two ursa with her hammer." Ren corrected.
"Ren went after three of the beowolves distracting them from the rest of the pack."
"Technically it was only two I shot at. The other two beowolves and one remaining ursa were left to Jaune and Pyrrha."
"Yeah and then Jaune, oh" Nora said as she took note of Jaune's presence. "Hey Jaune-Jaune! How'd the family talking go?" Nora said, completely forgetting the story for a moment.
"Pretty good, speaking of which would you like to come with me, your mom, and Weiss to dinner tonight? We're going to the Silver Steakhouse."
"I uh, I think I'd just like to stay here for dinner if you don't mind. I'm sure there's going to be some official stuff talked about over dinner and I'd rather relax and have a good meal here. I find Beacon fascinating. And all the stories too are quite intriguing." Whitley said as he directed his focus back to Nora only to see a teasing grin on her face.
"Are you sure you wanting to stay here doesn't coincide with a certain silver eyed girl you might've taken a liking too?" Nora said as she wiggled her eyebrows.
"Nora, leave the poor boy alone, but yeah that's totally it." Ren said with a smile.
"Ren! Not you too." Whitley said with a defeated look.
Jaune just laughed at this exchange before gathering his clothes and walking towards their bathroom before stopping to look back at Whitley.
"Just get her some chocolate chip cookies and ask her about Crescent Rose or any other weapon and you'll go far kid." Jaune said, looking at Whitley before entering the bathroom and turning on the shower.
As he waited for the water to heat up he sent a text saying "Just three tonight." to the number his dad had sent as Val's contact card.
About 30 seconds after he sent the message his scroll beeped and showed a thumbs up from Val. Setting the scroll aside he hopped in the shower and began getting ready for the night to come.
Meanwhile across the hall Weiss was beginning to do the same thing in her own way.
Whatcha doing Weiss?" Ruby asked from her bunk as she saw Weiss sit down at her desk.
"I'm going to try and study a little before getting ready for tonight." Weiss replied as she opened up her textbook.
"Oh ho, what's this? Does our little Ice Queen have a hot date?" Yang teased from her bunk as she eyed the heiress.
"No, it's a family dinner." Weiss said as she found her page and began reading the text.
"Ah, yeah should've figured. Not like someone would ask you out. I mean the last person who did you shot down and they ended up with your mom. Hey, you think the next person will end up with your sister? Oh or what about your brother? He's kinda cute isn't he." Yang teased only to be hit in the face with a pen from Weiss.
"Ow." Yang said as she rubbed where the tip of the pen hit her face.
"Hey where is Whitley anyway?" Weiss asked
"Oh he went to hang out with Jaune's teammates." Yang said as she laid back on her bed again.
"Well hopefully they aren't getting on his nerves. Actually I hope they are." Weiss said with a smirk as she turned back to reading the textbook in front of her.
"Spoken like a true big sister." Yang said with a small laugh. Before a thought popped into her head. "Oh by the way Weiss, your brother and Ruby have the hots for each other." Yang said with a smirk as she sat up to watch the reactions of Ruby and Weiss.
Ruby pulled her covers up over her face in her bunk and Weiss just sighed.
"Aw, you two are no fun." Yang said as she leaned back into her bunk.
"Yang stop teasing the two already. If Whitley and Ruby want to like each other just let them be." Blake said from her bunk below Yang's.
"Yeah I guess you're right. Hey if Jaune is with Willow, and Ruby and Whitley become a thing, which one of our other friends do you think ends up with Weiss' sister?" Yang asked with a laugh as the sound of a pencil breaking was heard from Weiss' desk.
Back in the classroom two powerful figures stood across from each other, neither flinching back in the slightest before Willow decided to break the ice.
"So I have a pretty good guess of why you're here dear but go on. Let's hear what you have to say." Willow said as she pulled out a chair and sat down in it while waiting for the girl to respond.
"I-I don't think you and Jaune are a right fit for each other and think you two should separate." Pyrrha stammered out seemingly losing some confidence she had before.
"Tell me dear," Willow said as she looked Pyrrha in the eyes. "You don't truly mean that, do you? Or I guess what I mean to say is, what you just said isn't actually what you wanted to say now is it? You have another matter entirely to discuss. Come on Pyrrha where is that fire in your eyes you had as you marched down the hall?" Willow asked as she crossed one leg over the other in front of her.
"You're right. That's not what I wanted to say. I'm sorry."
"No it's not. It's about how you 'love' my husband, someone you've known for all of what two months now?"
"Oh please like you're any better." Pyrrha quipped. "You've known him for even less time than I have."
"And yet I'm married to him." Willow said with a smirk, as her comment forced Pyrrha on her backfoot.
Seeing Pyrrha had no retort she continued, "Come on now girl. I know you are crushing on my husband . There is no need to be ashamed of it. He is a fit, good looking man of your own age."
"I'm not crushing on him." Pyrrha said as her
"Oh?" Willow asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I love him, it's not a simple crush."
"That's quite the bold statement for someone so young." Willow said as she looked at Pyrrha.
"Well it's true, I love Jaune."
"Why?"
"What?" Pyrrha asked, confused at Willow's question.
"Why do you love him?"
"Well why do you love him?" Pyrrh snapped back
"I never said I did child." Willow said before continuing after seeing the gasping look of shock on Pyrrha's face. "I will say there is most certainly something strong there that I feel for him and I do believe it is love. Regardless, we'll be sticking with each other. After all, he saved my life and helped bring my family back together which added some much needed love and joy into my bleak and dreary life. That being something that even at my age can be hard to narrow down."
"I think I understand what you're trying to say." Pyrrha said as her expression softened a little.
"So I'll ask once again, why do you love Jaune. How did he catch the world famous invincible girl?"
"When I first met Jaune was right before our initiation. Me and Weiss were standing in front of our lockers. Weiss was trying to convince me to team up with her, saying we would make the ultimate duo or something., while I was content to let the chips fall where they may."
"That does sound like my Weiss, continue though." Willow said with a wave of her hand.
"And then here comes this blond boy out of nowhere and he starts talking to us. He hits on Weiss, and pretty much dismisses me. He talked to her about being on her team and how he'd make a great addition and that there was room on Team Jaune." Pyrrha said with a small laugh as she recalled the memory.
"I mentioned that the teams are comprised of four people each and he slid over and started talking to me saying if I was interested I could have a place on the winning team." Pyrrha said as she laughed once again at the memory.
"He had no idea who you were, did he?" Willow said with a sigh.
"Not at all." Pyrrha said as she laughed at the older woman's sigh. "Weiss was actually the one to point that out to him. She started by pointing out things like; I graduated top of my class at Sanctum, 4 time regional champion and all those other big things." Pyrrha said as she began listing off all of her titles.
"But he didn't recognize any of those, did he? It was the Pumpkin Pete thing wasn't it?" Willow said as she let out another sigh.
"It was, how did you know?" Pyrrha asked as she looked curiously at the Schnee matriarch.
"Because he wears a Pumpkin Pete sweater beneath his armor. Or he used to at least. Pietro might've given him some new clothes for under his armor. If not, I'll need to rectify that."
"Do you have a picture of him without the armor?" Pyrrha asked hopefully.
"Indeed I do. One moment please." Willow said as she pulled out her scroll and began searching her photo gallery for the picture. Eventually she found the photo in question and turned the scroll around to show Pyrrha, who began giggling at the sight of Jaune in his hoodie.
"Would you mind sending that to me?" Pyrrha asked as she finally stopped giggling.
"Of course dear. Let's get back to your story though. What made Jaune catch your eye." Willow said as she sent the picture to Pyrrha's scroll.
A *beep* was heard as Pyrrha's scroll notified her it had received the picture as she began speaking. "No where was I? Ah right Jaune in the locker room recognizing me from Pumpkin Pete correct?"
Upon seeing a nod from Willow Pyrrha continued with her story. "After he recognized me from that a little more conversation was had before I threw my spear and pinned him against the wall at the other end of the locker room. As we walked past him and out the door I grabbed the spear again apologizing for the action."
"My my, how fiesty." Willow said as she laughed.
With a visible blush on her face Pyrrha continued on with her story. "We then all went out to the launch pads where Ozpin had us launched into the Emerald Forest."
"What now? He had you launched into a forest full of grim?" a visibly aggravated Willow questioned.
"Yes, he launched us into the Emerald Forest and sent us on a quest to find the relics to determine our teams." Pyrrha answered.
"Good Oum, I thought Ironwood's initiation was bad at Atlas Academy from what Winter told me. At least tell me he had some sensible, reasonable method for pairing partners?"
Pyrrha just looked at her and raised an eyebrow.
"Right, it's Ozpin." Willow said, sighing even heavier as Pyrrha began laughing at the woman's expression.
"So anyway," Pyrrha said as she resumed her story. "We lined up on the launch pads and Jaune asked a question about landing strategies like a parachute. Naturally Ozpin said that's something he'd have to figure out himself."
"Naturally." Willow repeated sarcastically.
"So what did Jaune do for a landing strategy?" Willow asked curiously
"He screamed and somersaulted through the air."
"Before he made a landing right?"
"Before I pinned him to a tree with my spear."
"You pinned him with your spear, for a second time in less than half an hour?"
"To be fair I was trying to help him, and he did ask for help while tumbling through the air."
"So you pinned him to the tree and then trekked your way to him and became his partner, correct?"
"Yes. Ozpin's genius partner matching idea was the first person you lock eyes with becomes your partner for the next four years."
"Unbelievable."
"Yeah, that was what pretty much everyone thought." Pyrrha said with a laugh. "Anyway to make the rest of the story short I activated Jaune's aura and we killed a giant deathstalker before Ozpin named us team Juniper."
"He didn't have aura when he joined Beacon? How did Ozpin approve that?"
"No idea, I'm just glad I pinned him to the tree looking back on it now."
"Yeah me too. So from what I gather this just sounds like a simple infatuation with a country boy who had no idea who you were and treated you like a normal girl."
"It's not!" Pyrrha said as angry Pyrrha returned once again.
"Fine." Willow said with a roll of her eyes before focusing them back on Pyrrha. "Tell me child, do you trust him, do you see him perfect or do you see his imperfections? Do you know anything about him besides the stuff you can see on the outside?"
"Of course I trust him. I trust him with my life. He is my leader and partner. I do see his imperfections as well. He had this whole macho thing where we shouldn't help him when he was being bullied before he finally stood up to said bully. I was always there for him no matter what happened and this changes nothing."
At the mention of Jaune being bullied Pyrrha saw Willow's eye showing a hint of anger before fading when Willow heard Pyrrha say Jaune dealt with the bully.
Pyrrha continues, "He owned up to it and apologized so yes I've seen his imperfections. I know he forged his transcripts here and I still accepted him, I trust him and I would follow him to the grimmlands if it was needed."
Willow smiles as she sees Pyrrha's determination first hand.
"Pyrrha my dear, let me tell you a story…" Willow said as she leaned in closer to the girl, and began telling her the story of how she was introduced to Jacques way back when, and how it played out. The meaningless vows, the broken marriage, the birthday parties, and Jacques' confession.
"You poor thing, that must have been awful." Pyrrha said as she was hugging Willow and trying to fight back tears.
"It was dear but Jaune has given me hope. He's treated me well, not to mention saving my life and giving me back several years of my life. On top of all that he helped me reunite with 2 of my children and make the manor filled with love again. Something that I hadn't seen in a long time." Willow said with a smile as she withdrew from the hug and created some space between them before continuing.
"So please, answer me this. If someone else were to walk through that door to Beacon and didn't know who you were and showed he was a kind soul what would you feel? If those same characteristics were in some random person what would you feel?"
"I, I wouldn't care. I love Jaune, nothing can change that."
"Then prove it dear. Examine your day to day. Scrutinize everything, every interaction, every romantic thought, and we shall talk again in a few days time after you have had time to think about things more. Now come on. I believe we should be getting back to your team's dorm room. You have a lot to think about and I have a family dinner to get ready for."
"But this hasn't solved anything." Pyrrha said as she grabbed Willow's wrist, turning the matriarch back towards her. "I came here to talk to you about being Jaune's wife, and that is something I want to do."
"I figured as much as you have said repeatedly now that you love him. I'm already his wife dear so I think that avenue is closed, and unlike Mistral I will not let such customs as, how do you put it? A side girl? Whatever it is I won't let it happen. The media would have a field day not to mention the fact that Jaune would never be comfortable with that."
"Actually it's through legal means." Pyrrha stated matter of factly.
"Legal means? You mean something exists that would recognize the marriage of one man to different women in Atlas? Or Vale for that matter?" Willow said with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes."
"Alright look, if you want me to listen to this, compile some papers and proof of this 'legal means' you speak of and we'll talk again in a few days in the meantime think on what I said, ok?" Willow said as she turned and began walking out of the classroom and taking out her scroll, before calling Klein.
"Yes Mrs. Schnee?" Klein answered.
"Klein, meet me back at the landing docks for our return to Vale. I have a night to get ready for."
"Of course Mrs. Schnee." Klein said as he hung up the phone.
"Well children I must be off now. Thank you for the entertaining stories Ms Valkyrie." Klein said with a slight bow.
"Of course! Come back anytime mr super butler.!" Nora said excitedly.
"Does this mean I have to go too?" Whitley asked.
"I think it's fine if you stay here a bit longer. I will be back to pick you up in a few hours though after supper. I would like to have you home before your mother gets back to her hotel room after her dinner with Weiss and Jaune." Klein said before turning to the silent ninja in the room.
"Mr. Ren, can you please look after him and make sure Nora doesn't do anything too over the top crazy ?"
After seeing a nod from the boy, Klein thanked him and headed towards the bullhead docks.
After getting to the bullhead docks, Klein saw Mrs. Schnee arrived shortly after and both of them boarded their aircraft and began the flight back to Vale.
After landing both made their way to the SDC car and headed back towards the hotel they were staying at. On their way there though Willow brought up some ideas she had been thinking on.
"Klein?"
"Yes Willow?"
"I have been thinking about some things and have some requests for you to look after."
"Oh boy, well if it's a personal request it must be big so go ahead and tell me and I'll do my best to assist in the matter."
"Two, well technically three things but the first two are intertwined together so it's really one. Anyway the city councilor is going to do everything in his power to get us to sign on to this building as it can be the start of a prosperous Valean SDC campus. I want aggressive negotiating on that front but I do want that building provided everything turns out good on the inspections, reports, etc."
"Ok what about two and three of those requests?"
"I want you to find me an IT person for here. I want top of the line quality too. Maybe check for someone in Mantle as those in Atlas would be too tied down to the military to relocate. We will offer relocation assistance and get them their own apartment but do tell them this job, while difficult, will be worth their while."
"Understood." Klein said as he pulled the car underneath the awning outside the hotel. "And what of the third request?" He said as he put the car in park and turned around in his seat to face her.
"Look into laws that would allow for a polygamous marriage in Atlas."
"I'm sorry, what? Willow, you can't be serious?" A very shocked Klein asked.
"I didn't say I was going to do it, I just said I want to know about it. It was brought to my attention that such a thing may in fact exist and I want to know details so I can disprove or argue against it."
"Understood ma'am. I'll get right on that." Klein said as he turned back around in his seat and got out of the vehicle only for Willow to get out on her own and call to him.
"See that you do Klein. Those requests are of the utmost importance because I'll be damned if I let some hotshot teenager get the drop on me. I finally got a great husband and a greater man. I'm not going to lose that." Willow said as they entered the hotel lobby and they both made their way to their separate rooms.
New chapter will be coming even sooner than the time this one took so be on the look out for that in the coming weeks.
