Chapter 17: Graduation Part III

(Fate's POV)

Fate sat down beside her Arwing as support crews rearmed and refueled it. Nearby she saw Brian, Isme, and Edmund who made up the rest of Saber Flight in the same position she was. Around them where the many other aircraft that had survived the battle so far. Fate had truly never seen so many aircraft on the ground and the sight of the many support personnel scrambling to repair rearm and refuel the many craft reinstalled the sense of urgency the situation had. Despite this though Fate knew this sight was bitter sweet as the Cornerian defenders here where all that was left of the entire city's defenders, even now they had little more than half their remaining aircraft and that was only because reinforcements from elsewhere on the planet had arrived in the form of the infamous Husky and Bulldog squadrons.

Even now the true weight of the situation was just bearing down on Fate, as she was leaving the vicinity of the city she had looked back and seen the city seemingly on fire and the sky turned grey from the smoke. "How many have died already?" Fate thought as the artic vixen curled into a ball where she sat on the pavement with tears building in her eyes.

"Hey Fate, you ok?" a voice spoke up in front of her as a hand rested on her shoulder. Looking up Fate saw the face of Brian her flight lead. His green fur was matted in sweat from the strain of piloting his fighter earlier that day. His one green and one purple eyes gazed at her trembling form with concern as he crouched in front of her.

"I- ye-… no." Fate tried to respond only for Brian to crouch over and give her a comforting hug.

"Hey don't worry about anything." Brian stated as Fate looked up to meet his gaze "Don't think about anything except what you have to do in order to survive." The green fox gave an encouraging smile "Besides, myself and the others have got you back up there, so you're not alone."

Fate stared at Brian for a second before a slow smile spread across her face. "Thanks Brian."

"No problem" Brian said as he helped Fate to her feet. The two were broken from their moment by the sound of a loud voice breaking over the sound of the maintenance crews around the area.

"Pilots! All pilots over here!" the voice yelled as what appeared to be a Lieutenant shouted near a small clearing.

As the pair dashed over to the officer they were joined by the rest of the pilots at the base till the clearing was crowded with personnel. Fate and Brian where soon joined by Isme and Edmond as the now reunited Saber Flight waited for what they assumed was their briefing.

Their assumptions where proven correct as the Lieutenant stepped forward and addressed the assembled pilots. "All right everybody listen up! The enemy is throwing all they have at us to try and take the city and wiping us out. We have three major engagements on the way so we will be assigning all of you to various fronts." The male duck announced as he turned to a board that was wheeled up behind him by two maintenance personnel. "First off is an emergency situation, we have detected a large airborne attack heading toward the Cornerian Star Port. As you all know that Star Port is housing upwards of a million civilians right now. We had planned to evacuate them off planet and thus the cruiser CMS Kilo is currently holding off enemy forces and keeping open a small hole in orbit for the evacuation ships to escape through. Our objective here is to cover the five evacuation ships as they attempt to escape the planet and also protect the space port itself from enemy air forces. For this mission we are assigning Eagle, Bear, and Husky squadrons as well as Saber and Delta flights, we are counting on you to save as many civilians as possible." The officer stated as the mentioned pilots nodded resolutely with Fate and the rest of Saber Flight joining them.

"The next thing is a naval battle in the bay area. What ships we had at the naval port that survived have joined up with the 8th Naval Flotilla and are currently trying to escape the bay. However a large naval force is blocking their escape. Our objective is to assist in the destruction of this blockading force and cover the 8th Naval Flotilla as they break out of the bay. A very important target is our naval carrier with the 8th NF call sign Riptide, you must protect this carrier at all costs as is has high valued personnel and equipment aboard. For this mission we are assigning Terrier, Badger, Hammerhead, and Dire Wolf squadrons." From where she stood Fate saw Ashley give an understanding nod before glancing over at her and giving her a confident smile.

"Finally our third engagement is the big show. The enemy's main invasion force has landed North East of the city and is making their way toward the city through the marshes. This invasion force include a large armored force that are made up of old Venomian spider walker tanks. The Cornerian 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th Armored Cores are in the area and a large armored battle is about to go down. We have also detected a large amount of enemy air forces closing in on the area, almost half of the remaining enemies projected air power in fact. As such we are assigning Bulldog, Tiger, Crocodile, Hawk, and Wardog squadrons as well as Kilo and Vandal flight to this area. You are the tip of the spear out their ladies and gentleman! If the enemy wins in this sector they will take the city without much fuss. Show them what happens when you anger Corneria. All pilots scramble!" The officer said as he saluted the assembled pilots dashed over to their craft. One way or another the coming hours would determine the fate of Corneria City.

Fate dashed toward her Arwing and quickly made her way up the small ladder that lead to the pilot seat. As she booted up her systems a mechanic leaned in from her right "We got you outfitted with ten Air to Air missiles along with a full battery for the lasers! You also have five chaff packages so keep count up there!" the mechanic shouted over the sounds of her Arwing's engines. Fate nodded as the mechanic left and removed the ladder from her craft allowing her to close the canopy. As her Arwing came fully online her radio immediately began to pick up traffic.

"This is Husky were airborne!"

"Bear Squadron is up and moving toward the star port."

"This is Eagle we are lifting now!"

"Saber Flight you are cleared to taxi!" came the announcement from the tower.

Ahead of her Fate saw one of the ground crew approach with two orange rods in order to give instruction to her. As the female kangaroo brought up both rods Fate engaged the thrusters that lifted her Arwing six feet off the ground. The kangaroo then brought both sticks toward her body as she started backing up telling Fate to bring her aircraft toward her. Following the instructions Fate's Arwing drifted forward and cleared the cluster of other craft before approaching the runway to the airfield along with the Arwings of Saber flight. The female kangaroo then looked left and right making sure Fate's path was clear before saluting and then crouching down low while swinging the rod in her left hand down the length of the runway. This was the signal for Fate to push her Arwing to the max and take off. However the kangaroo obviously thought that Fate was flying a regular Arwing and not the high performance Arwing-X.

As Fate and the rest of Saber flight firewalled their throttles the Arwing-X's rocketed forward kicking up dirt and almost throwing the crouched kangaroo to the ground. Around the airfield heads turned as the four Arwing-X's screamed down the runway before pitching upward and climbing at a rate that would have left regular Arwings hopelessly in the dust.

"This is Saber Flight we are airborne." Brian announced over the radio before switching to the squadrons frequency "Alright Saber lets catchup to Husky. We got a job to do." With that the four Arwings formed up and banked to the East heading toward the Star Port. The second act of the battle for Corneria was now underway.

: Sector Y:

(Admiral Hood's POV)

"Sir we still are having trouble contacting Corneria Command or the 3rd Fleet." Said the communications officer aboard the CMS Grisdal the flagship of the Second Fleet.

Admiral Hood sighed from where he sat in the captain's chair overlooking the bridge. "Keep trying comms. Has anything appeared on radar?" the bulldog asked.

"Negative sir the scope is clear." Said one of the officers gazing at the screen of the Threat Radar.

The Admiral frowned as for the past couple of hours he had been unable to contact any military units in or around Corneria. It was as if the entire military command net was down. "Wait military?" The admiral stood up as an idea hit him. "Communications switch to civilian communications. Is there anything abnormal?"

The communications officer adjusted his instruments and then paused "Sir, I have an absurd amount of civilian traffic hang on." The communications officer listened a bit longer before his eyes widened. "Sir I'm hearing something about an attack on Corneria City."

"Switch to civilian news stations and put it on the main screen." Hood ordered and after a couple seconds the main monitor changed and Hood was greeted to the sight of a burning Corneria city.

"Good god." One of the bridge officers gasped as the bridge crew watched the large pillar of fire that was the once the industrial district.

"Let me hear them." Hoods cool tone sent shivers down the bridge crew's spines as the Admiral maintained seemingly calm face as he stared at the screen. The communications officer taped a few controls and the news report gained sound.

"This is Cornerian News Network brining you live footage of the ongoing battle over Corneria city and the planet itself. For those of you just joining us, what you are seeing is Corneria city's industrial section which had been nearly wiped out by airstrikes from aircraft with 2nd fleet markings. Extensive damage has been reported across the city as Cornerian military forces continue to fight back the enemy despite crippling losses. We now go to Jack Splicer in orbit, Jack can you hear us?"

The camera switched to show a Golden retriever holding a microphone, behind him was a glass viewport that showed the space surrounding Corneria littered with debris and starships trading bright laser fire. "Hello Rick, I'm standing aboard the orbital platform Doldus on of the few space platforms that hasn't been destroyed by the enemy. As you can see behind me the Cornerian Defense Flotilla is doing their best to fight the unknown fleet that jumped into orbit over Corneria shortly after the 2nd Fleet suddenly left with no explanation." The reporter announced.

"How is it looking Jack?" the reporter back at the news station asked the retriever.

"Not good I'm afraid Rick. As many of our viewers know the Cornerian Defense flotilla is a small force of three cruisers and a contingent of frigates and destroyers. Their main purpose is usually police actions but they now have found themselves as the primary space force over Corneria against a much larger fleet composing of at least three battleships. Despite this however the flotilla has put up a valiant stand against the enemy despite the destruction of many of its orbital defense platforms and the loss of the Cornerian High Command Building in Cornerian City. However the enemy's numeric superiority is beginning to show as the flotilla take more and more casualties to the guns of the attackers." The reporter announced.

"I've seen enough! Communications, relay to the fleet set course for Corneria and prepare for short range warp." Hood announced.

"Yes sir!" The communications officer stated as he began to relay the orders to the rest of the fleet.

"Helm, bring us in line for the jump to warp." Hood ordered.

"Aye, sir!" the ships Helmsman answered as the CMS Grisdal pitched to the right.

From the bridge the Communications officer spoke up "Sir, Battleships Arrow, Hammer, Veltic, and Rattler have acknowledged. Light Carriers Deviant and Fulcrum along with their escorts have also acknowledged and are adjusting heading."

Admiral Hood nodded "Sound general quarters" the Admiral ordered.

Across all the ships of the Cornerian 1st Fleet alarms suddenly blared into the ears of crew members, rousing them from their sleep and various other duties.

"General quarters, general quarters! All hands man your battle stations! I repeat man your battle stations! This is not a drill! All hands prepare for immediate combat!" The announcement rang as Pilots aboard the light carrier rushed to the hangers, gunnery crews maned their stations as their turrets came online, and repair crews readied to respond to any damage. Across the fleet ship shield came online, weapon systems powered up, reinforced bulkheads slide over windows and viewports, and captains shouted orders across their bridges.

"Sir all ships report ready for action." The communications officer announced.

Hood nodded as he gazed out the monitor which showed a view of space ahead of the Grisdal. "Put me on speaker to the fleet." The admiral ordered and after a minute the comms officer gave him a thumbs up to show he was live.

"Attention men and Women of the Cornerian 1st Fleet, this is your admiral speaking." Hoods voice rang out to every headset, radio, and speaker in the fleet. "I have just learned that as this fleet sat idle in the comfort of friendly space, the peace we have fought and bleed for has once again been shattered. This time it seems from within. As I speak Corneria is under attack by unknown forces. As I speak our civilians and fellow comrades lose their lives to an enemy that now seeks to burn our capital to the ground. How could this happen you may ask. I answer you, treachery! Indeed it seems our own 2nd Fleet is responsible for this chaos. They have shamed our entire navy by helping orchestrate this attack and abandoning Corneria to its fate. Therefor it is our duty to uphold what's left of our honor and defend Corneria with our full measure. This fleet has spent too long in its peaceful bliss. All ships follow me, Battle Speed!" The admiral roared as he keyed off the communications. "Helm take us to warp! It's time we introduced these heathens to hell!" With those final words the vessels of the Cornerian 1st Fleet where engulfed in a bright blue light as they shot off toward Corneria. After years of peace Corneria's most decorated military force was once again on its way to war.

: Corneria Orbit:

(Captain Jack Anderson's POV)

"Helm bring us about thirteen degrees starboard!" Anderson ordered as he saw another enemy frigate fall to the torpedoes of his destroyer. The CMS Normandy was a one of the older ships in the fleet and considered by many as a failed experiment. While officially labeled as a destroyer because of its main torpedo load out the ship itself was actually the size of a light frigate. The thought had original been to use the ship as a stealth ship but that idea proved ineffective as enemy fighters could easily spot the craft and give its position to their fleet. It didn't help that the Normandy was lightly armored with the majority of its space being taken up by the engines and torpedo bay. The crew itself always felt cramped as the thirty to forty man crew was almost constantly cramped as they worked below six and a half foot ceilings and hallways that hampered two people from walking next to each other. Hell, the bridge itself was smaller than Anderson's college dorm suit.

Anderson however was proving that despite her short comings the Normandy was a fierce fighter. Already they had sunk three enemy frigates using their torpedoes as their powerful engines and small size allowed them to navigate the large debris in the area. However their where still plenty of enemy ships out there.

Anderson himself stood resolutely at the captain's consol. The middle-aged German Shepard's brow was furrowed in concentration as his gaze flicked between the map on his console and the view monitor displaying the space in front of his ship. He couldn't help but ask why he had decided to join the defense flotilla and not the regular fleet as his gazed moved to the three enemy battleships holding formation over Corneria.

The defense flotilla of Corneria composed of 12 Orbital defense platforms, 10 frigates, 3 destroyers (including the Normandy), and 3 cruisers along with the attached fighter and bomber units. The main strength of their force had been the platforms but they had almost all been taken out in the initial surprise attack. Now only two where still operable while one had been taken out of action by enemy fire. This left the remaining ships and fighters of the flotilla to engage no less than three enemy battleships, a carrier, two light carriers, 2 heavy cruisers, 4 regular cruisers, 2 destroyers, and 15 frigates. Suffice to say it was not looking good for them.

Thankfully the majority of the enemy fleet seemed content to stay away from their fallback position and over Corneria. This left the flotilla to engage the 2 heavy cruisers, the 4 regular cruisers, one destroyer, and 7 frigates. Even now four of those enemy frigates debris littered space along with the enemy destroyer. However the flotilla paid a price, they had lost the cruiser CMS Falix taking down the destroyer, one of their destroyers was destroyed before it could escape by enemy bombers, and four of their frigates had been destroyed in the engagement so far.

"How much longer till the civilian's evac!" Anderson questioned.

"Sir Evacuations are underway we can expect the transports within ten to fifteen minutes." Petty Officer Kelly announced from where the female poodle maned the communications. The usually upbeat member of his crew was showing none of the bubbliness she usually showcased.

"Damn it all we need that second cruiser to get out of there, the enemy is closing in on them!" Anderson lamented. The captain aboard the cruiser CMS Kilo had refused to abandon his position until all the civilian shuttles escaped, not that Anderson could fault him for his decision. "Are there any rear admirals still alive to take command of this cluster fuck?" Anderson called to his second in command.

The individual in question was a beautiful female calico cat named Miranda Lawson. Her father was some big wig on the civilian council and despite his protests Miranda had joined the flotilla, a move that she later told Anderson was to get away from her overbearing father. Her father had pulled some stings and gotten her assigned to the aging Normandy as a last means of 'protecting' her, a move that everyone knew was more to spite her for her decision.

"No sir, it appears all are either dead or unable to respond." Miranda replied in her cool and calm tone before turning to Anderson with an intrigued gaze. "Actually I believe that leaves you the commanding officer of the flotilla sir" she announced as the rest of the five man bridge crew glanced over their shoulder at him, waiting for his reaction and orders.

Anderson glanced at his crew before focusing back to the view of space outside his ship. After a pause Anderson straitened his shoulders before addressing the crew. "Kelly patch me through to the fleet comm net" he ordered.

Kelly nodded and after a couple seconds responded "You're patched through sir."

Anderson nodded before speaking into the comm "This is Captain Anderson of the Normandy to all Corneria Defense Flotilla ships and personnel. Due to the lack of any communication to high command elements I am taking command of the flotilla. All ships repot status."

"This is Lieutenant Commander Ulusama aboard the cruiser CMS Witlow we are in position to defend the orbital platforms Cerus and Rolth from an enemy group of two frigates, two cruisers, and a heavy cruiser. We have the destroyer CMS Bastille, along with the frigates CMS Froit, CMS Regal, CMS Dax, and CMS Merid." The captain of the Witlow responded.

"This is Commander Rash aboard the Cruiser Kilo, we are maintaining orbit over Corneria to cover for civilian extraction." The captain of the Kilo reported.

"This is 2nd Lieutenant Vagil of the frigate CMS Twilight, we are currently engaged with an enemy cruiser along with allied frigates CMS Daemon and CMS Spell. Requesting reinforcements!" the captain of the Twilight called.

Anderson nodded "Joker, bring us in line to support the Twilight. Garrus get me a firing solution on that cruiser!" Anderson ordered.

"Aye sir!" the helmsman, a terrier nicknamed Joker replied.

"I'm on it!" a hawk named Garrus responded from his weapons station.

"Defense Platforms Cerus and Rolth target the approaching task group and support the Witlow!" Anderson ordered.

"You got it sir" the platforms controller responded.

Anderson keyed his console switching frequency's "Shepard what is your status?" he asked.

John Shepard was a male husky currently flying cover for them in an Arwing along with his wingmen Kaidan Alenko and Ashley Williams. Despite being outnumbered the three had managed to keep enemy bombers away from the Normandy. "This is Shepard we're still ready to go. Currently maintaining escort with you Normandy. Sis how you doing?" Shepard asked.

"I'm currently doing my best here brother. But we can't hold our own forever!" Shepard's twin sister Jane Shepard, a female husky with a reddish-brown fur coloration, replied from her Arwing which was currently taking part in the various dogfights throughout orbit. The fighters were doing their best to fight the enemies' fighters but the presence of the enemy carriers was telling as more fighters rose to replace those destroyed.

"Hold fast everyone we can't lose here!" Anderson encouraged his men as the Normandy came into sight of the enemy cruiser.

The cruiser was battering away at one of the three frigates attacking it despite the fact that its own shields where down. That didn't seem to matter though as its thicker armor shrugged off the frigate's rounds while its own tore through the frigate in front of it. The damage proved too much for the vessel and the frigate exploded in a brilliant explosion as its reactor blew.

"Damn, we just lost CMS Spell." Miranda observed.

"Garrus, where is that god damn firing solution!" Anderson questioned as the cruiser moved to line up one of the two remaining frigates that moved to pincer the cruiser.

"I'll have it in ten more seconds' captain!" Garrus replied.

Anderson nodded before an idea struck "Daemon, focus fire on its sensors package!" Anderson ordered.

In space the CMS Daemon complied as it rushed the Cruiser and fired its weapons at the sensor array at the front of the ship destroying it.

"Firing solution ready sir!" Garrus called.

"Fire!" Anderson ordered as shortly afterward a torpedo shot out of the bow of the Normandy and streaked toward the cruiser. The enemy without his sensors was unable to detect the torpedo and thus the projectile hit the ship center mass, causing it to lose power and leave a gaping hole in its midsection. The Daemon came back in and riddled the immobilized ship at point blank range destroying its engines and weapons batteries, leaving the ship adrift and harmless.

"Enemy Cruiser confirmed knocked out!" Miranda called from her sensors station.

Anderson cut short his celebration as he keyed his comm "Witlow report! What's your status?"

"This is the Witlow. Two enemy cruisers destroyed by Platforms Cerus and Rolth. However platform Rolth has been knocked out from enemy bomber attacks. We are currently engaged with the Heavy cruiser!" the Witlow responded.

"This is the Kilo, we have detected a heavy cruiser with escorting cruiser and two frigates approaching are area. Requesting back up!" The captain of the Kilo suddenly called over the comm.

"Hold your position Kilo we are in route! CMS Daemon, CMS Twilight form up the Normandy! We will use the debris to approach undetected and hit them before they react." Anderson relayed.

"Understood." The captains of each vessel responded.

"Sir, I've detected an unknown vessel that just warped in behind our position!" Miranda suddenly shouted.

"What type?" Anderson asked immediately.

"Unknown sir. It doesn't fit any known vessel but by its size I would think it's a frigate. Wait… sir its launching fighters! I detect five unidentified craft." Miranda replied.

"Sir incoming hail from one of the fighters. Patching it through now." Kelly spoke up.

Anderson waited a couple seconds before a voice broke over the comms. "This is Shadow Team leader call sign Reaper, to Captain Anderson. We heard you situation in transit. We brought the frigate Archangel with us. Where do you need us?" the voice asked much to the relief of Anderson.

"Shadow Team we need you to help sanitize the air around our ships. Target any enemy bomber you see and keep them off of us!" Anderson relayed.

"Understood, Shadow Team is engaging. Preacher on me we'll cut off reinforcements from the carriers. Death, Bravo, Wraith intercept those bombers. " The calm voice replied over the net.

"Archangel, this is the Normandy. Respond." Anderson called the humans frigate.

Much to Anderson's surprise a male robot sounding voice replied "This is the AI Spyglass currently assigned to the vessel designated Archangel. We are receiving you Captain Anderson of the Normandy. How can we be of assistance?"

The crew of the Normandy shared a look. "An AI, aren't those still in the development stages of development?" Joker asked Miranda who nodded.

"Yes but the humans seem to have the full item. Guess we will see how good they can get." Miranda replied.

Anderson shook off his questions and pressed on "Spyglass, are you available to assist our forces?" he asked.

"Spyglass regrets to report that repairs are still underway to the Archangels main weapons battery. However the Archangel does have a large contingent of combat and repair drones as well as secondary defense weaponry." Spyglass reported.

Anderson scowled in disappointment "Very well help however you can." He instructed.

"Spyglass acknowledges. I have detected that there are currently two damaged orbital platforms. Deploying repair drones to bring platform weapons online again. Estimated repair time is five minutes, twenty-two point four seconds." Spyglass reported much to Anderson's surprise. To be able to repair both orbital platforms in such a short time was rather astonishing and well welcomed.

"Do it we need those platforms operational." Anderson acknowledged.

"Understood. Archangel will now deploy combat drones to assault the cruiser currently in route to the ship designated CMS Kilo. Estimated battle projections are positive." Spyglass stated as a swarm of twenty or so small craft poured from the frigate and shot through space at a blistering speed. The small craft where no bigger than a man but seemed to be outfitted with three bulging protrusions surrounding an 'eye' that Anderson guessed was a camera. The front of the craft held the serrated claw like appendages that sloped forward as if to pierce the enemy.

As the swarm flew out of sight Miranda followed the on the radar. "Sir the drones have arrived at the vessel and… they seem to be ramming themselves into it. Wait… ah, ingenious really." Miranda applauded.

"What's going on Lawson?" Anderson asked.

Miranda turned from her station to address him. "Sir it appears the drones where outfitted with missile grade explosives. They punched through the cruisers hull before detonating inside. I can already confirm that the enemy cruiser had gone silent and is venting. She's dead sir." The feline reported.

"This is Spyglass to Normandy." Spyglass's voice came over the comm.

"Go ahead Spyglass" Anderson answered.

"Reporting that the enemy cruiser is down, however Repair drone 324 is reporting that the Rolth platform is unrepairable. We are now shifting drone task group B to support task group A in repairing the platform designated Doldus." Spyglass announced "Addendum, Archangel has detected the loss of multiple allied ships in the vicinity. Recommend investigation."

"WHAT!? Normandy to Witlow, come in! What's the situation over there?" Anderson asked frantically over the comm.

After a few seconds a reply finally came back "This is the destroyer CMS Bastille. The Witlow is gone sir, blown in half by the heavy cruiser. We have also lost the frigates Froit, Dax, and Merid. The only vessel left other than our self is the frigate CMS Regal. However both the Heavy Cruiser and its escorts are down. We managed to coordinate with Cerus platform and sank her with missiles and torpedoes. The Regal got the escorts. We have issues however." The captain of the Bastille answered.

A feeling of dread filled Anderson even as he replied in a calm tone "What is the problem, Bastille?"

"Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Anderson, but one of those battleships finally decided to get involved with us. We're detecting it approaching us while skirting around the debris. It will take a while but when it gets here it's going to plow right through us. Nothing we got can even scoff the paint of that thing. Our torpedoes could damage it if we got enough into her, but we would be blasted out of space before we got into range." The Bastille reported. "If that wasn't enough it brought four frigates with it."

"Fuck" Anderson stated as he glanced at the tactical map on his consol.

"This is Kilo, sorry Normandy but we are also detecting an additional three frigates moving toward us. That brings the total up to five frigates and a heavy cruiser." Kilo's captain reported.

Anderson paused over the command console his eyes scanning over the area as he looked for some way to salvage the situation. Either he could deploy the Normandy and her two frigate escort to aid the Kilo and leave the Bastille, Regal, and Cerus Platform to be destroyed or he could move to support the Bastille and leave the Kilo to its fate and the only evacuation route for civilians cut off. The decision was obvious, he could not abandon the civilians to die. "Joker, get us to the Kilo." Anderson replied somberly.

Joker nodded morbidly "Aye, sir."

Anderson glanced one last time at the sector around the Bastille, before his eye stopped on the crippled dot that represented the weaponless Rolth. Getting an idea of a way to help the Bastille and Regal hey keyed his comm. "Platform Rolth, I need a huge favor."

After a couple seconds a female voice replied "This is chief engineer Tali'Zorah. What do you need sir?"

Aaaannnndddd Chapter! Well looks like Shadow team is back and they brought some assistance with them. As you can see I included some Mass Effect characters and Spyglass from Titan fall in this chapter because that series is awesome! Now here is a list of the Remaining forces in space.

Corneria: 2 destroyers (Bastille and Normandy), 1 cruiser (Kilo), 4 frigates (Daemon, Twilight, Regal, and the Archangel), and three Orbital platforms (Cerus, Rolth, and Doldus. Though Rolth and Doldus are weapon less currently).

Enemy Forces: 3 Battleships, 9 frigates, 1 heavy Cruiser, 1 destroyer, 2 light Carriers, and 1 regular carrier that is hovering over the ocean launching invasion forces.

Anyway hope you all enjoyed and as always stay frosty and don't forget to review!
