Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Sorcerers and Soulmates. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own LWA, Yoh Yoshinari and a few others do.
Aayden didn't say a word when he thought about his future here. He didn't know what that was anyway, he barely scratched the surface of his magic and if that was a shallow surface? He didn't know about things when it came down to it.
"Hmmm." Ayden said, his lips pursing as he held the ball of water aloft in his hands. He knew something was going on. "I'm starting to think there's plenty I don't know about this magic." Aayden added, pausing to think about the ball of water he held aloft in his hand, curious as to what had been occurring at the moment.
He let the water fall back into the sink, simply sighing as he folded his legs under him. Aayden brushed off his shirt, questioning the fact that his father had dropped him off here. He knew that his father wanted him to train to try and perfect his magic more.
"My dad and his crazy methods." Aayden muttered, cracking his fingers as he started to look up at the ceiling, letting out a yawn as he did so. "This school isn't for warlocks. I doubt their happy to have a boy within their halls at any moment." Aayden added, sighing to himself as he leaned back in the bed.
He looked at the stars above. He didn't blame them for putting him in his own dorm alone. Warlock or not? He was still a boy, and they had no reason to think he wouldn't try something like that if given the chance.
"I haven't even gone around the blasted school and I'm still complaining like they punched me in the face." Aayden muttered, brushing some dust off the window.
He shook his head and leaned back in the bed. Aayden wondered if it was a good idea to send his father a message of how he was doing here. It couldn't hurt, right? He believed it was worth it in his head, there wasn't much better things he could do tonight.
"Classes are tomorrow, they're still filling in students about warlocks being here…" Aayden muttered, pausing to slowly cross over the room and think about what he'd tell his father at the moment. "I wonder what he's doing anyway? There's almost nothing happening back home last time I checked. Maybe he's gotten richer or something." Aayden added, grabbing a pencil as he sat down at the desk.
He looked over at his backpack before slowly unzipping the backpack and then starting to take stuff out. Aayden hummed, tapping the pencil to his lips, he was curious as he tapped the pencil against his lips. Aayden sighed, beginning to write once more.
"Dad, what are you doing at the second?" Aayden questioned while he started to put his pen to paper. "Hmm…" Aayden added before he started writing.
He mentioned how his first day was awkward, he had a teacher EVERYWHERE he went. Aayden also mentioned that he had been running around trying to find a book to focus his magic potential around the school fruitlessly as he didn't know where the library was. Aayden also put in how he hadn't met any of the students yet.
"Sometimes I'm going to wonder just WHAT is going on if they don't like me a lot." Aayden muttered again and put the pencil down slightly, not removing it from his fingertips. "But I can't blame them for looking at me differently. There's about twice as many girls here as boys and secondly? I know they're just waiting for one of us to get stupid and throw us out, I can't blame them for THAT. I just hope their teach me enough to get me along to the next place." Aayden added before placing the pencil down and releasing it.
He tucked the piece of paper into his jacket. Aayden wouldn't be able to send it today, anyway… But he wanted to. He turned and looked at the door to his dorm. Surely, they'd have been, ok? Aayden clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth as he slowly started to think if it was a good idea to sneak out.
"This letter can at least get put in the mailbox tonight." Aayden whispered as he turned and stalked across the room to the door. "This is so stupid, but so worth it I think." Aayden added before he opened the door.
Aayden was greeted by nothingness for a moment as he thought of where the post office could be. He was put off by a sound which caused him to crash to the ground. Aayden was greeted by a shape appearing from the darkness as he blinked, crashing to the ground once more.
"HEY!" Aayden heard, causing him to blink as he rubbed at his temples once more.
'OW!' Aayden thought as he grunted to himself as he grunted with pain.
