Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Sorcerers and Soulmates. Enjoy the 1200-word chapter. I don't own LWA, Yoh Yoshinari and a few others do.
Diana walked with Aayden who clicked his fingers on the wall. He looked at the woman, from head to foot, her skin was as pale as the moonlight. It almost made him think she was a spirit, but then again? He was a sorcerer in training, or warlock… He didn't know much of the difference when it comes down to it.
He was quite curious as to what happened down the line. He turned to Diana a second later. He hummed, unsure of what to say for a brief moment.
"Was there anything you wanted to learn?" Aayden questioned, his eyebrow raised. "There was plenty of stuff I want to when it comes down to it. I don't know where to start, it's fun." Aayden stated before humming to himself, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
Aayden watched as Diana smirked. She walked to the window, tapping a finger on it.
"I don't know yet to be quite honest." Aayden heard as he hummed to himself. "There's a lot I want to learn as well, so much I want to talk about. My family has a lot to do, part of it is mastering magic." Diana said to which Aayden hummed.
"You sound like you come from an important family." Aayden said, holding up his hands when she gave a raised eyebrow. "I didn't mean to insult you. I know what it's like, you have a lot to learn, just like me… What does your family do? My family does important work." Aayden stated before placing a hand on the window.
"They're a noble magic family, it's quite interesting." Diana stated to which Aayden hummed. "And yours? You seem like someone who was part of some important family." Diana said to which Aayden hummed.
"It's kinda important." Diana heard before she hummed. "There's plenty of stuff they do, but they mostly sell magic artifacts. Their family, but I don't know much about magic relics, I know they take a lot of pride in researching and recording them." Aayden put in as Diana leaned on her tiptoes to gaze out the window.
"So, their noble archologists?" Diana questioned which garnered a nod from him. "Interesting, I've yet to hear much about these sorts of magic users. My family does know a few, one which might match your family." Diana added as Aayden hummed, nodding to her as he did so.
"Well, I'm trying to remember if I've ever heard of… I'm sorry, what was your last name? It sounds really exotic." Aayden stated while he shook his head. "Cavendish or such, right?" Aayden said which earned a flick to the temples.
He felt a mark fly across his skin, pained as red and crimson spread from the pinprick of nails across his skin. Aayden hummed, grunting in pain as he did so. There was plenty of things he could have said wrong.
"Yes. It is," Diana said, flicking her nails to the side. "Why did you forget it? I told you it… Never mind, I'm apologize, that was uncouth." Diana said before Aayden hummed, moving his hand from his forehead to his temples, unsure of what to do next.
"You didn't have to flick my head like that." Aayden said before sighing. "Anyway? I think I've heard about that name before, it's something that I've believed my family has talked about before." Aayden said looking upwards as he did so.
"Hmm, yes. Quite interesting, isn't it?" Diana said, earning a nod from Aayden. "There's always a lot on your mind when it comes to family, isn't there? There's plenty on mine. You can't let those people down, it never leaves." Diana questioned before Aayden shrugged.
"The doubt? Yeah, I'm kinda scared." Aayden stated, scratching at the back of his neck as he did so. "It's not easy, living with knowing the fact people are counting on you. Sorry, I don't mean to mumble, it's just weird, you know? Having that pressure on your neck like a weight, constantly pushing you down." Aayden said which garnered a nod from this.
He was silent, unsure of the best thing to say or do at the moment. If it could be helped? He planned to say nothing at all. There was no need to say anything like this that could cause more issues.
"Do you want to discuss how this semester could be?" Diana questioned as the duo looked into the night sky. "I don't know what magic they plan on teaching first, but I do think it's a curious detail." Diana stated to which Aayden was silent.
"Nothing to say?" Diana questioned as Aayden hummed to himself.
"Don't know what to say." Aayden responded as he paused to stifle a yawn. "There was plenty of work left to be done. I'm sure their still busy thinking through the details, don't you? Anything you want to see them do?" Aayden questioned as he put a hand to his temples.
He was curious what the school had planned. A magic career was quite interesting considering how things had gone so far. He almost wanted to believe there was something lurking just under the surface, waiting for them to discover it.
"School is quite an interesting topic, but I would like to learn ice magic." Diana stated as she rubbed at her chin. "However? I wouldn't really know if I am all that sure." Diana added to which Aayden nodded, rubbing at his temples as he did so.
"Fair enough, it's not really an easy question to answer, is it?" Aayden asked to which he got a nod. "There was quite a bit to take in, organization is more surprising than I thought it would end up being. It was pretty intense; I'm not going to lie." Aayden stated as he crossed his arms over his chest.
Diana nodded as the moonlight danced through the stain glass window. It felt almost like a dream to her, a very pretty and beautiful dream. There was plenty still plenty on her mind coming through. She turned towards him, watching as Aayden watched the moonlight with her.
"It's pretty, isn't it?" Aayden questioned with a smile. "I used to look up at the sky all the time. I didn't know why, but I do know it was pretty, it was just as beautiful now as it was back then. I don't know how this will end, honestly." Aayden stated before he shook his head.
"Should we return to our rooms or continue this talk?" Diana questioned as Aayden hummed.
"I'd like to continue this talk if its ok with you." Diana heard from Aayden as he hummed.
