A/N: First fic, first jitters…You know what I mean…

Eyes on Your Back:

Someone's watching her and Hermione MUST find out who…

PROLOGUE: Dastardly Annoyances

Doesn't it just annoy you when you get that wretched prickly sensation at the back of your head, which means your sixth sense is working overtime?

Doesn't it just annoy you how you're certain someone is following you around like a shadow yet when you turn around to face him, he's not there?

Doesn't it just annoy you when you're sure piercing eyes are taking in every move you make, every blasted minute of every blasted day?

Doesn't it just annoy you when you feel like a helpless prey being hunted by a hungry predator with no one to protect or save you?

Doesn't it just annoy you every single time you do something stupid or humiliating; you're sure someone else shares those embarrassing secrets?

Doesn't it just annoy when you 'know' someone is staring persistently at you yet the disability of not having eyes at the back of your head keeps you from confirming it a hundred percent?

No?

Well, it sure annoyed Hermione.

It annoyed Hermione in the Great Hall every single time she had her meal, morning, noon and night.

It annoyed Hermione in the library everytime she sat down in eager anticipation, wanting to devour the information in the pages of those precious tomes.

It annoyed Hermione in the hallway everytime she scurried hurriedly so as not to be late for her essential classes.

It annoyed Hermione in class everytime she tried to take important notes or listen intently to whatever the professor was saying.

It annoyed Hermione in the Quidditch pitch everytime she tried to concentrate on a wonderfully fast-paced Gryffindor match.

In fact, the only time it didn't annoy Hermione was when she was in their dormitory on her bed or in the bathroom, with the doors locked or in the Gryffidor common room on her favorite chair by the fire.

And, anyway, it would have been freaky if whoever it was followed her to such private places in her life.

After some time, all Hermione knew was she had to discover the identity of this person or she was likely and liable to go insane very very very soon…

A/N: Okay, that was the very first thing I ever wrote and I think.. Well, actually don't know what to think 'cos I leave that part to you. Thanks…:) Sorry if it was so short... It was just an introduction...
