Rainy Day Man

(Author's Note: This is going be a one shot story. Yumi's heart gets broken after the boy she was with left her for another girl. Yumi and the gang are out of high school. Is there someone who helps her in love again? NO FLAMES PLEASE! )

Yumi stood in the pouring down rain. He just left her. She watched him run through the rain with tears running down her face. She just stood there getting wet by the minute. She didn't care if she got wetter. All the sudden, she felt no rain on her. She turned to see Ulrich standing there with a umbrella over her and him.

"What are you doing here?" Yumi asked.

"I got worry about you."

"Why"

"Yumi, we had been through a lot together. I don't like to see you hurt like this." Ulrich said as he gave Yumi it will be ok smile. Ulrich opened his arms.

"Thanks Ulrich" Yumi said before she walked into Ulrich's opened arms.

"Yumi, there is someone out there for you." Ulrich said.

"You mean it?"

"Yes, I do. Someday you will find him. He might be closer than you think."

"Thanks Ulrich for everything."

"We have been best friends since forever, and I will be here forever for you."

A couple days later, Yumi found a dozen roses on her doorstep. She found a little card. She opened it, and it said. "I hope these will help cheer you up. Love Ulrich." Yumi reread the card, and she realized she was in love with Ulrich. She brought the roses into her house. She picked up her cell, and she dialed Ulrich's number. The phone rang three times before Ulrich answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Ulrich, this is Yumi."

"Hi, Yumi, what's up?"

"I'm wondering what you are doing today after work?"

"Nothing, Why?"

"Can we meet in the park at six?"

"Sure"

"Ok, I see there."

"Ok, Bye"

"Bye" Yumi said as she hung up the phone. She went into her room to look for an outfit for tonight.

Ulrich spent all day trying to find out Yumi wanted to see him. The clock said five.

"Finally, time to go." Ulrich thought as he ran out of the door.

Yumi finally found an outfit. It looked like the one she used to wear in school. She looked at her watch. It said twenty minutes before six. She grabbed her keys and ran out the door. She locked the door and ran to the park.

Ulrich waited at the park's gate. He saw Yumi running up to him. When she finally, Ulrich spoke,

"Hi"

"Hi"

So what did you want to talk about?"

"Ulrich, I have found that person you told me about." Ulrich could feel his heart breaking.

"Who is it?"

"Some one that is very close to me."

"Who is it?"

"It is you. It took me this long to realize that I love you. I loved forever in school, and I still do." Yumi said as she went into Ulrich's arms.

"I love you too, Yumi. I loved you forever." Ulrich said as he pulled Yumi close to him. Yumi reached up and gave Ulrich a kiss.

"Will you stay by me forever?"

"I will. I promise." Ulrich said as he picked up Yumi. He spin her around in the air. Ulrich and Yumi finally found true love, and they were happy.
