Warning or apologies: After reading so many theories of Naruto, I have decided to write based on one of them. This is only a one shot, a very very short one, but I am thinking of writing a story based on this. My mind is still not made up. Hope you like it.

Goodbye My Son
Dear Son,
I write this in great haste due to the war between the nine-tail fox. In this letter I will explain why I or your mother won't be around to see you grow up.
You mother died in an honorable way, giving birth to you. Although we lost her, you were born and that became the important part. In the past few days you have been the greatest joy in my life. I have felt the greatest joy that only a father could feel.
I know that you will grow up to be a skillful ninja and will make me and your mother proud. Grow and continue to fight in what you believe in.
You may not understand why I did what I did but I did it all for love. I loved you and wanted to protect you. It may not seem like it to you but you will soon understand what I did was for the best.
You will be the one who saved the village making you a hero. Always remember that you were the one who helped me save the village.
The technique that I will use will bring an end to the nine-tail fox but unfortunately will also bring my end.
Remember that this was for love. You are special no matter what happens, be strong. I only wish that I could see you grow strong.
Your mother and I will watch over you.

Yondaime Hokage
After writing the letter and giving a hug to his child, Yondaime Hokage looked towards The Third, "Sarutobi, I have decided on a name. I want his name to be Naruto, name him Uzumaki Naruto."
Yondaime then looked at Naruto with tender eyes, "Bye, Naruto, my son", before handing him over to The Third. "I want you to give him the letter when the time is right, no matter what happens I want him to get it when only you deem appropriate.
After handing the letter, The Fourth went to his final battle.
A/N: There are a lot of theories about this and who can blame them. There are a lot of things that make it suspicious. If you are one that say "this can't be true", remember is based on theory. I just hope you enjoy it, although it is really short.
