CHAPTER 1
New Allies?

(Planet Caladan)

Duke Leto looked over the large and majestic ocean from the parapets of Castle Caladan, the waves crashing roughly against the hard rock of the coastline, and sending both wind and mild sea spray up towards the castle that loomed over it.

Leto would miss the sea, but he had a new planet to take rulership of.

Still, he wasn't so foolish to think it would be easy.

Nothing in this universe was easy. Especially now, of all times.

There were many dangers that awaited them on Arrakis.

Not only from the sandworms and storms, but from more human threats. Namely The Harkonnens and The Fremen.

The Fremen were an oddity, since he didn't know much about them. Not many did. They were a rather secretive people, and very little information about them passed through the Empire.

But he also suspected that the Emperor would be involved too.

While the orders to take over Arrakis came from the Emperor, he suspected that his cousin, Shaddam IV, of conspiring with the Harkonnens against him. Though, he had little proof. It was only a feeling. Still, he had met The Baron's treachery before and he knew not to expect anything less this time around.

Suddenly, one of his advisors approached him.

"My lord!"

"Yes?" Leto asked.

"Security has discovered a new group of individuals."

"New group?" he asked, looking confused.

"We don't know who they are or where they have come from."

"Where are they now?"

"The main courtyard. Halleck, Hawat and Dr. Yueh are already there."

Leto let the man lead him to the courtyard, curious yet cautious at the same time. When he arrived he saw his chief advisors standing before them on the high steps of the castle that overlooked the majestic courtyard.

Thufir Hawat - Mentat master of assassins to the House of Atreides who had served House Atreides three generations.

Doctor Wellington Yueh - head doctor of House Atreides who wears the diamond tattoo of Imperial Conditioning on his forehead.

Gurney Halleck - Leto's chief military advisor and troubadour-warrior, who is teacher and companion to his son, Paul.

Leto and his man arrive at the main courtyard where he sees nearly two dozen people he did not recognize.

He saw dozens of his own green-uniformed soldiers surrounding the group, both them and the newcomers seemed rather tense.

He noticed there were about 14 women and 12 men.

They were huddled together in five groups.

The first group consisted of six people. Four men and two women.

The apparent leader of the group was dressed in a red, white and mostly blue outfit, with a white 'A' on his cowled forehead, and a circular metal shield on his back. The second man was dark-skinned and dressed in a red, silver and black outfit with a strange pack on his back. The first woman was an attractive redhead wearing a black bodysuit with a pair of blue and black fighting sticks on her back. The second woman had auburn hair and was dressed in a red coat and corset, with black pants, boots and gloves. The third man was decked out heavily in black and silver armor, with some rather impressive looking guns on his arms and shoulders. The fourth man was green and red with a long flowing cape, golden highlights, and a glowing jewel in his forehead.

The second group also had six people in it, three men and three women.

The first man was dressed all in red with yellow lighting bolt symbols on his chest, arms, legs and even on his head. The second man was dark-skinned with brown hair, dressed in a green bodysuit and with a strange 'lantern' symbol on his chest. The third man had green skin, yellow eyes, and dressed in a blue cape, red X-cross suspenders, blue shorts and boots. He truly looked alien. The first woman of the three was the most noticeable, for she had a pair of hawk-like wings coming out her back. She also had a hawk-styled headdress, a yellow top, green pants, red boots and was carrying a spiked mace with her. The second woman was blond-haired, dressed in a black leather outfit with fishnet stockings, black gloves, and a choker around her neck. The last woman was dark-skinned, dressed in a earth-tone bodysuit with a strange necklace around her neck.

Then there was the third group, which consisted of all women.

The most prominent member was a busty, blond-haired, blue-eyed woman in a black dress with a white underdress which shows her cleavage, a black choker on her neck, and long brown boots with black stockings. The second was a shapely young woman in a scandalously tight and short dark purple dress. The third woman had short brown hair, an emotionless expression on her face, dressed in a fancy white dress and a strange symbol on her forehead: a bird with a yin-yang symbol underneath it, a pair of 'quote marks on both sides of the yin-yang symbol. The fourth woman had short black hair, dressed in a green shirt and shorts, high-heeled white boots and was carrying a pair of short swords. She had a '19' tattooed on her thigh. The fifth woman was a brown-haired woman dressed in a long, white outfit that covered her body, mostly her arms and head. Her legs and stomach were exposed though. The last woman looked younger than the others. She had short, light brown hair, grey eyes and wore a white dress with long black gloves, boots, a choker around her neck, and a blue headband over her hair. The most distinguishing feature was the fact she was easily carrying a very, very large hammer, slung over her shoulder as if it weighed nothing.

For some reason, these women all seemed to share something in common.

There was also a man talking with a couple of them.

He was a slim but athletic man with silvery-gray hair and gray eyes. He was dressed in a black outfit with a mask over the lower part of his face.

Leto got the sense that though he was male he seemed to have something in common with these women.

The other two groups were smaller, having only three to four people each.

The first group was all female and stood apart from the last group.

The older of the three looked like a tan-skinned, athletic woman with a muscular build, wearing a white one-piece leotard, and purple thigh-high boots. She also had a pair of white rabbit ears on her head and a round tail on her backside.

The second girl was younger. She was tall and fair-skinned, with blue eyes and long periwinkle colored hair. She wore a royal-blue skin-tight bodysuit, mint-colored chest plating, a pair of knee-high with turquoise spirals around her ankles, a pair of green gauntlets on her wrists, and yellow gloves.

The third girl was taller than the second, with teal-colored eyes and long-ginger hair wrapped in a ponytail. She wore a sleeveless, turquoise-colored dress that stopped at her knees, with a black corset around her waist a brown belt that was just under the corset, and pair of gray-colored boots that stopped at her ankles. She also had a black domino-mask over her eyes.

The last group of four consisted of all men.

The oldest looking man had short black hair and tanned skin. He was dressed in a red, blue and yellow bodysuit, with three shapes on his chest: a diamond in the middle of two triangles. He ha yellow boots and a yellow loincloth dangling from a white belt around his waist.

The second was a young man with messy brown hair, dressed in a yellow bodysuit with silver arm sleeves and white gloves, a yellow and gold helmet under his left arm, a sword on his back and a strange-looking hammer in his right arm.

The third person was a yellow and blue armored man with red trim on his helmet, gloves, boots and his belt. He had a strange radar-like symbol on his chest, and a large red circular-like object on his back.

The last person appeared to be the youngest, a teenager, with short brown hair and deep blue eyes. He was wearing a white and blue bodysuit that Leto had never seen before.

There was also something else. While they were enroute to the courtyard, his man had told Leto that there was a large robotic being located on the airfield.

The different groups were staring hard at the armed soldiers who had their weapons drawn on them. There was much confusion and tension in the air.

"What's going on here?" the rabbit-eared woman asked.

"Where are we?" the man with the circular shield asked.

"Who are you people?" the man in the red bodysuit with the lightning bolt symbols asked.

"Stay where you are!" one of the soldiers snapped, the other soldiers aiming their weapons at the newcomers.

Several of the newcomers had their weapons drawn and at the ready. Some of them seemed to glow with power. A couple of them suddenly had fire in their hands. The one girl with the ginger-colored hair suddenly made her fists grow to giant size.

Seeing that a conflict was inevitable, Duke Leto stepped in.

"STOP!" he shouted.

This caught everyone's attention as Duke Leto stepped forward. He stood in front of his men as he faced the group of newcomers.

"I am Duke Leto Atreides, head of House Atreides." he said as he looked at them all. "Would you be kind enough to tell me your names?"

The groups looked at each other, before the man with the shield stepped forward.

"I am Steve Rogers, called Captain America." the shield-bearing man said.

"Natasha Romanov, the Black Widow." the redhead in the black catsuit said.

"Sam Wilson, the Falcon." the dark-skinned man in the silver and red harness said.

"Lt. Colonel James Rhodes. I'm The War Machine." the dark-skinned man in the heavy armor said.

"Wanda Maximoff. They call me The Scarlet Witch." the auburn-haired woman in the red and black outfit said.

"I am Vision." the red and green humanoid said.

This last man made Leto nervous and calm at the same time. Like he should not exist.

"I'm The Flash, the fastest man alive." the man in the red bodysuit said.

"Shayera Hol. Hawkgirl, of the Thanagarians!" the winged woman said.

"John Stewart, Green Lantern of Sector 2814." the dark-skinned man in the green outfit said.

"I am Jonn Jonzz, the last Martian." the green-skinned man said.

"Mari Jiwi McCabe. Call me Vixen." the dark-skinned woman said.

"Dinah Lance. The Black Canary." the blond woman in the dark blue leather said.

"I am Tsukiumi, number 9, the Water Sekirei." the blond woman in the black and white outfit said.

"I am Uzume, number 10, the Veil Sekirei." the white-clothed woman said.

"I am Akitsu, number 7, the Ice Sekirei." the woman with short brown hair said in monotone voice.

"I am Ikki, number 19, the Kodachi Sekirei." the woman with the two short swords said.

"I'm Kazehana, number 3, The Wind Sekirei." the woman in the short dress said.

"I am Yashima, number 84, The Gravity Sekirei." the young woman with the large hammer said.

"I am Homura, number 6, the Fire Sekirei." the silver-haired man in the black outfit said.

The heroes and the members of House Atreides looked at the group, wondering why they had numbers, and calling themselves 'wagtails'.

"I'm Rumi Usagiyama, Number Five pro-hero Mirko - the Rabbit heroine!" the rabbit-eared woman said.

"Itsuka Kendo, of Class 1-B from U.A. High School. I'm called Battle Fist." the red-haired young woman in the tuquoise dress said.

"I'm Nejire Hado, of Class 3-A, also from U.A. High School. You can call me Nejire-Chan!" the energetic young woman in the periwinkle armor said.

"I am Wayne Earthbody, of the Navajo. I am called The Elemental. I can control Earth, Fire and Air." the tan-skinned man in the brightly colored outfit said.

"Dustin Brooks. I'm the Yellow Wind Ranger, with power over the Earth." the young man in the yellow outfit said.

"I am Sy-Klone, the last guardian of Anwat Gar." the yellow and blue armored man said.

"Shinji Ikari. The Third Child of NERV." the teenager in the white and blue bodysuit said.

At hearing all this, the heroes looked at each other, as if taking in all this information. They turned towards Duke Leto who seemed to be the man in charge.

"I am sure you must have questions. I have many myself. So, why don't we start with you all." Duke Leto said.

"Where are we?" Captain America asked.

"This is the Planet Caladan. And you are in the courtyard of my family's home, Castle Caladan." Leto said.

"Uh... I hate to ask this question, but... what year is it?" Flash asked.

"The year?"

"Yes. Last time we knew, it was 2016." War Machine said.

"It was 2005 last we knew." Green Lantern said.

"It was 2028 when we were in Shinto Teito." Homura said.

At hearing all this, a terrifying thought passed through all of them as they were each confronted with a very distinct possibility.

"I'm afraid it has been a very long time since then." Leto said.

"It has?" Captain America asked.

"Yes. We are 53 standard days into the year 10,191." he said.

The groups looked at each other in shock.

They had all been brought over 8000 years into the future? It was at least two or three different eras. And they were on another planet, no less. Unless this was Earth and it had simply been renamed. It was possible.

Green Lantern turned towards Jonn Jonzz.

"Jonn?" GL asked the martian, who seemed to know what he was asking.

"He is telling the truth. But there is far more to it than we know." Jonn said.

"What do you mean?" Hawkgirl asked.

The groups looked at each other and then to the Martian.

"We have arrived at a very unusual time." Jonn said.

"What do you mean?" Vixen asked.

"We are in another dimension, but one in which humanity has lost much."

"What do you mean lost?" Wayne Earthbody asked.

"It is the year 10,191. In the 60th century the universe was ruled by thinking machines with human minds, computers and conscious robots. Humanity had entered a state of apathy. Eventually they were enslaved by these robots, which lead to the Great Revolt, and the destruction of these machines. Mankind was then forced to develop their minds. Mental training schools were established. Of these schools, only two remain. The Bene Gesserit school, established primarily for females, each of them possessing great mental powers. And the Spacing Guild, which emphasized pure mathematics. Since the Great Revolt, the known universe has been ruled by the Padishah Emperors over all the great houses of the Landsraad. These houses are members of the Royal Family who rule over the major planets of the universe, according to the ancient feudal system of government. The most precious resource in the universe is the orange spice melange, which is found only on the desert planet Dune, also called Arrakis. This spice extends life, expands consciousness and also enables space travel. The spice is used in variations by the Bene Gesserit sisterhood, the Spacing Guild, and the Mentats, the human computers. The current Padishah Emperor, Shaddam IV, has recently ordered Duke Leto and his house to mine the spice on Arrakis, replacing The Harkonnens, with whom they are feuding. House Atreides is to leave in a few days time."

The groups looked at each other, processing this new information. Duke Leto and his inner circle were very stunned at the information that Jonn had just spoken. Mostly since some of it involved them.

Leto wondered just what special abilities they all possessed. While he didn't want to use them, he would be a fool not to take advantage of their unique abilities. Gurney was worried about a security breach, especially if one or any of them could read their minds. Thufir was wondering the same, but intrigued at the same time. And Dr. Yueh wondered if he had been found out.

Each of them had varying degrees of concern on their faces as the group continued to talk.

"So... what does this mean for us?" Black Canary asked.

"We can't stay here. We've got to get back to our own universes." Tsukiumi said.

"Yeah, but how? I mean, we're not supposed to be here in the first place." Flash said.

"Maybe. Maybe not." Wayne said.

"What do you mean?" Dustin asked.

"This whole thing sounds like some kind of set-up." War Machine said.

"Yeah. And we landed right in the middle of it." Green Lantern said.

"What are you saying? That we should become involved?" Nejire asked.

"Do we even have that right?" Itsuka asked.

"We don't know enough about this universe to make that judgement." Black Widow said.

"Our being here is rather inconvenient, for us. But it might be a benefit for them. The Atreides." Vision said.

"But we have our own problems to deal with." Sy-Klone said.

"This is just insane." Falcon said.

"We can't even get back to our own respective universes. If we are in another dimension, and not just time-traveled some place else." Vixen said.

"Yeah, there's that." Black Canary said.

Suddenly, a new man appeared in the courtyard. He had been there for several minutes, listening to all of this, before making himself known.

"Sire, there's something else." Duncan Idaho said as he approached Duke Leto.

"What is it?" Duke Leto asked.

"It's... some kind of machine." he said, trying his best to describe what he had seen. "A strange type of robot. On the other side of the airfield."

Leto looked at Duncan and then at Gurney, Thufir and Yueh.

"A robot? Is it one of yours?" Leto asked the group.

Each of them looked confused, like they had no idea what he was talking about.

"I think we should see it." Leto said.

The group headed over to where several strange-looking ships were waiting to be launched. In between them was a large, humanoid-shaped robot.

It was 17.4 meters in height, a deep wine color with large wings on it's back, a claw-like weapon on it's right arm, a shield with a whip-like chain on its left arm, and it appeared to be equipt with a strange sword-hilt but no blade. It had a very intimidating and menacing look to it.

"What is that?" Flash gasped.

"It looks like a robot. From some kind of Japanese anime." Itsuka said.

"Epyon." Shinji Ikari said.

"What?" Duke Leto asked, staring at the boy.

"It's Gundam Epyon." Shinji replied.

Everyone looked at the boy.

"You know what this thing is?" Green Lantern asked.

"Yes. My friend Kensuke and I used to watch anime at his house. He wanted to be a robot pilot so badly. Though this is different than the one I piloted."

Everyone looked surprised at hearing that.

"You piloted?" Mirko asked.

"Yes." he said, shrinking slighting under the intimidating woman.

"You're a robot pilot?" Itsuka asked, getting closer to him.

"Not by choice." he said, instinctively backing up.

"Perhaps that is why he is here." Vision said.

"Why he's...?" Scarlet Witch started to ask.

"You can't be serious!" Hawkgirl said.

"You actually want to put this boy inside that thing?" Captain America asked. "No offense, son."

"None taken." Shinji replied to the Captain.

"I think we had better talk. All of us." Leto said to the group.

Authors Notes:

Another multi-crossover that I've been working on. I wanted to put this in my New Justice story-series, but decided it would be better to put it here in the Dune section. I don't expect a whole lot of response, but this is something I've been working on because I really like Dune and wanted to do some crossovers with it.

I have other ideas for Dune, but that is for later.

Please let me know what you think.
