Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of A Lingering Ember. Enjoy the 3200-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum, and Rooster Teeth do.

(Vale.)

Trivia approached the wounded Ollie who had blood dripping from his mouth. He had been a lot more wounded for now. what she didn't know as of now… It had been an odd little part of history when this was a lot more to say and do next.

Before he could say anything, she reached out, dainty fingers gripping his bandages. He frowned now before reaching up to his own bloodied and calloused fingers as he tilted his head at her.

Trivia slowly watched as he lowered his hands, frowning as he seemed to question before it had been as of now.

"Are you sure?" Ollie questioned before he sighed and fell silent as of now.

With a nod, she slowly pulled the bandages from his face. She was greeted by the same damaged eyes as before. Ollie blinked as trivia pulled her hands back and frowned.

"Yeah… This is what's under there. I'm damaged…" Ollie said before sighing. "I'm not ashamed of this. I've not going to let someone judge me by what I look like…. Are you going to judge me?" Ollie said as he frowned.

Trivia rolled her eyes as she peeled off one of her pink gloves. She smiled to herself as of now… When it came down to it. she couldn't let him be hating on himself. It had been an odd part of her life. It had been something nice to have a friend when she had nothing. It had been a lot more of an interesting little seemed to be as of now.

She placed her bare hands on his face, her dainty fingers running over the scars and bruises. He had been through so much at the moment. So much when it came to the battle. She pressed her fingers to his wounds as he raised one of his hands, resting them on her tiny little hands.

She had been a lot more to question before it came down to it. She had been an enigma despite his best attempts to try and understand her when this was done and dusted. It had been an odd little topic at the time.

"Stop being a dumb-dumb." Trivia stated while she rolled her eyes. "You're my friend. Friends don't lie…. I'm not broken either. You know I'm your friend" Trivia said to which Ollie smiled at her.

She watched as he tilted his head and smiled at her. It had been nice for him. He chuckled as he nodded and then looked down at the bandage before she stood on her tiptoes. She knew more than anything that he had been her friend. She trusted him; it was something worth living for. Her father had taken away many other things. Things that she couldn't foresee.

She didn't care. She didn't want to care. Ollie had been something she wanted to try and fight for when it had been done and dusted. She cared enough about him not to break things… To see something nice and worth fighting for existing.

"Triv. I want to trust you, ok? But I can't trust you unless you trust me. You need to tell me what you know about all of this when we get down to the docks, deal?" Ollie put in before he hummed as if now.

Trivia tapped her fingers on the edge of his lips, drawing a smile with her fingers as she did so. It was rather nice when this was all said and done. This had been fun.

Ollie sighed and slowly reached out his other hand and rested his index finger on the edge of her lips and lifted it, mimicking her smile before now. He had been a lot more curious as of now. She rolled her eyes at her friend.

"I trust you, ok?" Trivia heard as she slowly typed on her school.

"I trust you… Just give time, dumb, dumb." Trivia stated to which Ollie chuckled at her before he seemed to hum.

"Then c'mon… We still have a boat to reach and you still owe me an answer at the very least." Ollie stated before he cracked his fingers as he seemed to tilt his head.

She still tapped on the edge of his lips as if telling him that she understood. It made him roll his eyes as he questioned before now. He had been a lot more focused on what to do next.

Still? He had been a lot happier as of the now. if she wanted to use facial gestures and such to communicate? Sure, he'd help… It had made him laugh despite himself as of the time being.

"We're almost there. We need to on the boat down there and detach it from the docks." Ollie said before he looked over his shoulder at her. "And probably deal with another 200 cops in the way… And something tells me you REALLY want to fight another 200 cops." Ollie said as he rolled his damaged eyes.

He didn't need to see to know that she had smiled…. She had wanted to be a lot more peaceful, yet she wanted to fight before all was said and done. She had been a lot odder as of now. This was a lot cooler before it seemed to be done and dusted.

"Triv, just because you hate doesn't mean all of them are that bad," Ollie said to her as of now. "And no, I'm not defending whoever your dad hired. I'm also not defending anyone." Ollie added as of the moment.

She rolled her eyes as of now. It had made her question before now. It had been an odd little adventure for now.

It had been a lot more to question before now. It'd be an odd little thing if he didn't lie. An odd little as of a lot more of an interesting ordeal at the end of the now. It'd be a scary little if not for that how little she seemed to care.

Then again? He could hazard a guess WHY she didn't care as much as she should have. Probably because she could cut through the cops like butter if she so wished. He was probably the only crutch that she had between so violently shattering them as if they had been glassing… It'd be sad if not for the sheer fact she didn't seem to care. It'd be odd, it'd be a nice little thing if not for the fact that had full control of this if she so wished. It'd be an odd little thing. A part of life that hadn't yet escalated beyond this and wouldn't.

There was a skip in her step as she did so. He couldn't tell if she was trying to push herself or not. He really could tell if he had some time. It had been a lot odder thing before now. She wanted to be coming down to this. It had been an odd little thing before she seemed to be an odd thing for now.

Still? if he was going to get down to the bottom of this… Well, he had to be willing to follow this for now. It was a weird little part than it had been before now. He had to strike harder and faster at the end of the day and he was entirely set on learning before now.

Yet he had been an odd thing for now…. And it seemed as if had the lion's share of insanity for it. The lion's share of whatever was to come next.

This was to be something as of now. What came next would be oddly for now. She wanted more and she'd find it oddly for now. This was to be an odd little thing. There was still before now and it was an odd little thing for now and he knew it.

Whatever came next was to be something fun, interesting, and curious, it'd make her toes curl to know what it was and how she could use it. How it could bend to her and how she had given freedom.

Still? if she was to get it? She had to be willing for this. It was to be something odd for now. Whatever came next would be something odd, it'd be special when all of this was said and done before now. It was a lot more to come down to it as of now. Whatever came next was to be something special and she knew it more than anything. It couldn't be outdated for now. It would be something cool for as of now.

He was a lot more as of now it was a lot to try and understand what came next. She wanted more. She would have more; she'd have all she wanted before the second when all of this was said and done. It would need to be fast and quick and without mercy and mercy as of now. This was to be something as of the question before now. It had been something odd for now and she said enough about it. Whatever came as of the second when this was all over with her name on it.

This was something odd for now when all of this was said and done. It'd be something odd for now. Whatever came next would be cool for now. it had to be and she knew it. It would be a lot more.

Ollie rolled her eyes as she started to pain more smiles, dancing her fingers across his worn and weathered skin as he seemed to hum, pulling her hands slightly away as she poked and prodded at him, trying to throw him as off-balance as possible with her gestures.

He could only chuckle to himself as of now. Whatever came next

She watched as he seemed to roll his eyes at her pulling on his face before now. Whatever came next as of now. This was a lot more to come and he knew it more than anything when this was all said before now. It had been something odd before now. It had been something cool, something odd for now when all was said and done as of the time being and it fascinated her to no end. Yes, this was to be something grand and glories at the end of the day when all was said and done. Yes, it could be something as of now. Whatever as of the time before now.

She turned and walked up back to Ollie; his brow wrinkled as she did so. She hooked two of her fingers in the corners of his mouth and stretched them into a smile before grabbing his hands and twisting them towards the docks.

He could only smirk as of now. It had been funny, he rather liked the enjoyment of all of this, the amusement as of now. Yes, it was to be something for the history books at the end of the day. She knew it and he knew it just as well. It was something that couldn't be done and dusted before now. Whatever came next? They'd face it as a pair.

He danced her hands up and down in the air as he seemed to question what to do next. He knew that if they reached the docks? Well, it'd be odd for now. She would be an odd little friend before now. This would be something fun for now. It was to be cool for now for all of this as of now. It was a lot, for now, he was oddly before he came down to this. Whatever came before as of the now. it was all to be done and dusted before now.

He cracked his fingers as she traced her fingers over his skin. He could only laugh at this as he knew more than anything. Trivia seemed as if she was just messing with him. it wasn't as if he couldn't enjoy this interaction and he knew she wasn't trying to bother him, just mess with him as a friend.

This had been a lot more to question and a lot more to happen as of now. Still? it was to be something fun; it was always fun to him how often the ball seemed to bounce between courts.

He sighed and looked at her, interest brewing in his features as he crossed his arms at her, interested in what she'd do once she had her fun. It wasn't even a question he was mad about or anything. He knew she would have her fun and they'd be off. He had been having fun messing with the girl and it wasn't as if he hated her.

He poked at her as well, tapping her nose playfully as she snorted, her ponytail tickling at his face as he seemed to laugh, getting a roll from this. What had been coming next would be a lot less fun than this as this was to be said and done before now.

Trivia wrote a smile before now as of the time being when all it was to be to come to down before now. Yet? She had been all over this was to be questioned before now. She poked at his nose, her dainty fingers poking at his skin as both of them shared a laugh before it seemed to come now to this. She was a soldier as much as of this was to be questioned at the oddly little thing.

She had been oh so curious as of now. Still? if she was at all honest as of the time being. What she had understood for now was what it meant. Yet? She had of an odd thing at the end of the day then it seemed, what little she knew was just how enjoyable this had been for now. it had been a cool little thing for now.

"What? Is there your way of showing me a smile?" Ollie questioned before he tilted his head to the side.

Trivia giggled a smile of her own gracing her face before he tapped her nose playfully.

"Can you please trust me enough to tell me the truth? I want to trust you as I keep telling you… And I don't want to fight you, Triv." Ollie said before Trivia nodded.

"I am… And I want to trust you too, but I don't. not all the way. Not yet." Trivia said to which Ollie frowned at her. "But I do want to at the moment. I am going to try sooner or later…. You trust me and I have fun with you around, most people don't care if I have fun. They just attack me or try and force me to do what they want." Trivia said as she grunted in pain.

She rubbed at her feet, the pain from walking on heels made her wince in pain. Ollie turned, not seeing this, but hearing her little winces of pain which made him frown despite himself.

"I. I can't let you get hurt." Ollie said before he frowned. "If we don't trust each other? Then let's talk? Ok? Or I'll talk and you just tell me yes or no, ok?" Ollie said before Trivia went to blink.

She felt herself leave the ground as the girl was lifted off her feet. A second later her lithe and petite frame was lifted off the ground and felt a weight press to her chest.

She looked down to see Ollie had placed her across his back, wrapping her legs around his chest and hips as he turned towards her.

"I know your hurt and tired, I can smell blood from one of those jackasses managing to get you at least once," Ollie said while he tilted his head to the side. "If your hurt? Just tell me, at least be honest. It isn't like I can do much, Triv. I'm some urchin. What do you expect me to do? Throw you away or… That? I'm not enough of a scumbag." Ollie added as he hummed, slowly turning to look around before he hummed.

Trivia blinked before lightly and slowly wrapping her arms around his neck. She couldn't believe it. honestly, he was either insane… Or her friend. She wanted so badly to think he was her friend, even if he wasn't? she wanted just one person not to see her as a freak, an abomination, a worthless little mute girl who was seen as some damaged little pain in the neck who couldn't do anything else.

Was he it? Was he going to be that one? She didn't know. She didn't want to hope, to see him in this manner.

"Were you shocked by what you saw?" Ollie questioned as he rounded a corner, being doused by water as he did so. "I didn't want you to see. I don't want anyone to be pitying me or something, people always see me now as something of trash or pity me and take pity on me. I hate that, I hate that more than anything when it comes down to it. I don't need people constantly handing stuff out or acting like I'm worthless trash or something… I'm not, and they can hate me if they want." Ollie muttered as his voice seemed to contain a twinge of venom at this.

Trivia almost winced at this, knowing she had been in that boat before, knowing she hadn't been good enough to be considered normal at even one small part of this. The hatred, the enjoyment for now. What this something on the purpose that had started their friendship at the time being. It had been a weird little thing for now? It had been something odd for now despite whatever came next.

She flicked at his face, running her fingers across his lips while tugging him along. Ollie seemed to move with her as he tilted his head, curious as to what came next.

She noticed a smirk on her face while she did so. What she seemed to be capable of.

She tilted her head, curious about what it seemed to be onward. It would be a few more minutes as he walked to the boat. What she questioned was what to do next.

"Are you going to be, ok?" Ollie asked as she turned and pulled at the corners of his lips. "Oy, you're going to be doing that every few seconds when I ask, aren't you?" Ollie asked before she pushed her lips forward.

He tilted his head at her. She was oh so much curious about when it seemed to come down when it was all done and dusted himself off.

He laughed despite knowing what to do next before now. Still? He was smiling, unsure of what to do next.
