"What do you think you're doing!?"

"I'm sorry."

"Do you think you're a princess? That everyone here has to wait for you?"

"I'm sorry ma'am."

"You better be, you're not special! Do you understand me?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Good. Now get to work, we wasted fifteen minutes here already."

Yeah, because you decided to spend all this time lecturing me. If I didn't need the job…

And so another day goes by dealing with all these lovely customers.

"What's the meaning of this?"

"I… don't follow."

"Why is there so much ice in the cup?"

"Our sodas come with ice so our clients can enjoy it cold."

"Bullshit! You just want to fill my cup with ice so I get less soda!"

The woman throws the soda on my face. It is, in fact, cold.

"Ma'am we offer refills. You can drink as much as you want without paying extra."

"I want to talk to the manager."

Of course you do. Even though I gave you everything you asked.

I turn around to get my manager but I slip on the soda and hit my face on the cash register.

"Fuck!"

"Did you just swear at me? I'll have your job!"

"Lady, please. I'm bleeding here."

"Young people these days, always overreacting. Listen, are you going to get your manager or what? I'll complain to corporate."

"I'll…be right back."

I'm just lucky I didn't go blind, I got hit right on the eye.

And of course when I get the manager…

"Of course you messed up again."

"I didn't do anything."

"Clearly you did, look at yourself."

"This girl was rude to me and called me names and threw soda at me. I want her fired."

"Are you kidding me?"

"WAIT!"

A shrill voice cuts in.

"That lady is lying, I saw everything."

She's small, like a teenager.

"Me, lying?"

"Yes, she didn't insult you or anything. You were rude all on your own."

And red hair down to her shoulders. The eyes are not Silver but gray. And just as I remember.

"And you were the one who threw soda on her. She even slipped and got hurt. I mean, look at yourself, you're dry!"

"Go away little girl, you're annoying me."

"I'm not going to let you bully someone for no reason like that."

"Hmm, what should I do?" asks the manager.

"Fire this girl. The customer is always right."

"I'm a customer too and I say you should leave."

"How dare you?"

"You can ask everyone else here, we all saw it."

"...Then you'll have to leave."

"This is ridiculous! I'm never coming here again."

And then she stomps off.

The manager looks at me.

"Make yourself presentable and get back to work."

Then goes back to her office to do nothing all day.

"Hey, are you okay? You banged your head pretty good?"

"Y-Yeah…I'll be fine."

Her face…it's exactly like the red girl in the dream.

"Are you sure? It looks like it will leave a scar."

A scar on my eye? Somehow that doesn't seem so bad.

She keeps looking at me with those not-Silver eyes. It feels so…should I…should I tell it to her?

"H-Hey. Do you..?"

"Hmm?"

"Nothing, never mind."

She wouldn't believe me.

What would I even say? 'Hi, I've met you in my dreams.' No, that wouldn't work. She'd think I was crazy.

"I'll be right back and take your order."

This is ridiculous. I'm just tired from lack of sleep, yes that's it. These weird dreams are a me problem. I shouldn't involve anyone else.

I wash my face and go back to the register. I should put some ice on my face later, it's starting to hurt.

"Hi, sorry about that. What would you like?"

"Uh…a big Mandie with fries and a medium soda."

"Got it. Anything else?"

"Yeah, a chocolate cookie. Wait, no, two cookies."

"Understood. Is that all?"

"Oh, one more thing."

I hate indecisive customers.

"Did you dream about fighting giant monsters while dressed really stylish?"
