Love is in the air
Chapter 6 – The attack
Will was walking, still thinking at everything that happened at the castle. She was so amazed that she still had the heart of Candracar… She knew how much Phobos loved power; and what happened meant only that he really loved her… In one way, she was sorry to leave him like that, without the dinner. Maybe it was his way to tell her something… that he loved her!
"How strange it can be! I find the one who truly loves me, and I'm starting to feel the same about him, but the thing is that he's my enemy!" She smiled remembering some of their fights… He was the only one who could resist her in a battle. They could fight for hours…
"Hi, Will! What's up?"
Will looked confused around. She had been thinking of Phobos and didn't see Cornelia coming with Caleb.
"Hi, guys. Just walking back home. And you?"
"We're going to a movie… Will, we're sorry about Matt. We heard that you two broke up." Caleb said.
"Yes…thanks." Will realized that she had completely forgotten about Matt. But she was absolutely sure that she couldn't forget Phobos now. "I'm fine, I got over it."
"Great! So, where have you been?" Cornelia asked, with Caleb holding her in his arms.
"Hmm… Just having a walk… I wanted to get some fresh air." Will knew that if she told them that she had visited Phobos at his castle, things would be too strange.
"Okay, see you later. Our movie starts very soon. Bye, Will!"
"Bye, Will!"
"Goodbye, you two."
She sighed with relief and walked home. Her mother wasn't there. Will turned on the TV and tried to forget about everything, concentrating on the TV.
But, no matter how hard she tried, Phobos' figure kept coming in her mind again and again. Finally, she fell asleep.
She was in a dark room, and she could hear whispers. Then, on one side, all her friends appeared.
"We have to stop prince Phobos. We have to, Will. You know that. You just know that."
She thought that they were wrong. How could they say such a thing about him?
"Phobos loves me, he will not harm anyone. Look, he didn't take the Heart. It's still mine, although he could have taken it. Please believe me, we don't have to fight him!"
Then, on the other side, the prince appeared too. He's beautiful, icy-blue eyes gazed her with sweetness.
"Thank you," he said, "for defending me. I never thought that I would love you. But it happened; it's true. And you don't know how much it means to me that you love me too.Please forgive me if I harmed you, or harmed your friends."
He came closer. Will felt protected near him, not knowing why. Then she hugged Phobos tight, not wanting to lose him.
"Will! Will…" suddenly, she heard a familiar voice calling her. She opened her eyes and saw her mother. Everything she thought that it had been real... a dream! Only a dream... But Will wasn't sure if all of it had been just a dream, or just a part of it.
"Will! You fell asleep without eating your dinner!" Susan looked at the meal she prepared that day in the kitchen. "Are you going to eat it or not?"
Dinner! She was supposed to have dinner far away from her kitchen! And she wanted to.
"No mom, thanks. I'll just go for a little walk."
"And when are you coming back?"
"Um…I don't know…"
"Will!"
"Ok, fine, I'll be back in two hours."
" Such a long walk?"
"Yes, I need it. Please mom, I'll be back in two hours! Bye, I love you!"
Will rushed out of the house and headed to an empty street. There she looked in both sides of the street, making sure that no one was watching, then she created a portal and went to Meridian.
On her way, near the castle, she transformed into her guardian form, although she didn't want to fight with anybody. But, as she was walking, some guards attacked her from the back.
"Stop! I'm not here to fight! I want just…I…" she tried to explain, but the guards continued to attack her, not letting her fly and one of them hit her in the head, so she fainted. They continued to hit her, not sure if she really was unconscious; they knew how strong she could be.
Finally, they took her to their master.
Phobos was in the throne room, preparing to have dinner soon, alone. Suddenly, the doors opened and some guards came in and bowed very happily. The last ones were carrying something.
"Prince Phobos, we brought someone to you!" one of them said, grinning.
"Who?"
They left the unconscious Will on the floor in front of the throne. She had so many bruises and she was bleeding in some parts. She looked so harmed…
"After we managed to attack her, we brought her straight to you, my lord."
Phobos looked at his love. How could they do such a thing? Attacking her… If something would happen to her…
"You heartless beasts! Monsters! How could you?" he screamed.
The guards stopped grinning and made a step backwards. They thought that their prince would be happy about this. But he wasn't. He was so angry, seeing the leader of the guardians at his feet, unconscious.
"I don't want to see you anymore! Disappear fast or…"
He didn't have to continue. All the guards ran frightened out of the room.
Phobos threw some magic dust on the floor in front of him and the blond lord appeared.
"Yes, my prince?"
"Come quickly to the castle, Cedric. Something happened and you must know what is going on."
"But how about the princess?"
"You'll return to find her, Cedric. But now you have to be here."
"I'm on my way, Phobos."
