Chapter 13 - Phobos' plan
A few weeks passed since that encounter. The guardians were still upset and they didn't try to contact Will and talk to her.
Susan Vandom was brought in Meridian and Will explained everything. She was very confused at first, seeing all those strange things, especially her daughter transforming into her guardian form and Cedric in his snake form. Finally she accepted things just the way they were. Anyway, Phobos seemed a nice guy to her and Will loved him, so she was happy.
But one thing was very wrong. Because of her friends, Will suffered a lot. Almost every day she was crying. And Susan couldn't help, because she didn't know much about what had happened before she came there, and the keeper avoided talking about that.
Phobos was so sad seeing Will like that… He was thinking that he should do something about it. It was true that he accepted to change in a better person, but he couldn't just stand there and do nothing.
In one morning, while Will came and sat at the table for breakfast, with her depressed expression on her face, Phobos realized what he could do. And it wasn't an evil scheme, just a way to help his love. Maybe a little rough way, but the results could become great.
"Susan, please take Will to the gardens. I think that the flowers will bring at least a small smile."
"Umm… Sure. Let's go, darling." Susan answered.
Cedric understood that his prince wanted to talk to him, and it seemed important, so he sent Elyon to the gardens too, assuring her that he will also come soon.
When they were left alone, Phobos began to talk about his plan. Cedric listened and nodded. It was good.
"So Elyon and Will mustn't find out?"
"Of course not, Cedric. If they find out, they will refuse."
"But it's not an evil idea."
"Definitely not."
"Great. So I'll send guards?"
"Yes, but please send the best ones."
They spent the next hours in the gardens, with Will, Elyon and Susan.
Susan saw that those two were acting a bit different, but she didn't ask them anything. Anyway, she could have been wrong. Phobos was taking good care of her Will, and so was Cedric with Elyon, and that was all she wanted to know. Meridian was a weird place and she hadn't get used to it yet.
Suddenly, in the gardens entered a guard, who bowed.
"My lord, there is something I have to tell you."
The prince knew it was about his plan, so he left, taking the blond lord with him. Will just shrugged her shoulders and continued to smell and admire the pretty flowers, with Elyon and her mom.
When they were far away from the gardens, the guard reported.
"We accomplished the mission. Without transforming, the guardians aren't so strong. And we managed to catch the rebel leader too."
Phobos grinned.
"So they are in the castle's dungeon?"
"Yes my lord."
"And you didn't hurt them?"
"No, just like lord Cedric ordered."
"Good. Leave now and keep an eye on them. I'll soon come to talk to them."
The guard bowed and left.
"Are you sure, my prince?" Cedric asked.
"Do you doubt me?"
"Of course not. But if they don't understand?"
"They will. If I didn't capture them, without hurting them at all, they wouldn't listen to me. They would continue to think that my beautiful Will and my sister are betraying them. And this hurts my love so much… I can't just stand and watch it happen, although I don't care about those so-called "friends". Because of Will, I managed to change from who I was. I saw that power comes also from love."
"Yes, Elyon helped me too with her love and sweetness."
"So this way we can do something nice for them. I know that capturing them isn't the exact diplomatic way, but nothing else comes to my mind. But there is nothing evil, right? We don't hurt them, anyway."
"Hmm… I think so too."
"We will visit them after dinner."
"But we must make sure nobody sees us. If we're seen, when we'll convince the guardians and the rebel leader, it won't be a surprise anymore."
When the dinner finished, everyone spread out to his room; only the prince and the lord headed to the basement, where the dungeon was.
"I hope they will understand now. We will explain everything, that we can love Meridian and all, how Will and Elyon helped us…"
"And if they won't, at least they will learn not to make Will suffer."
But as they were talking on their way to the dungeon, someone heard their conversation. She was just going to her room when she heard the two voices. So she wasn't wrong; Phobos and Cedric did act a bit different and now she knew why. But who were "they"?
She continued to walk to her room, deciding to ask those two about that, the next day.
Well, Phobos wants to make some justice for his Will and his sister, mixing up his old ideas(capturing them)with the new ones(not hurting them). Hope you like it! Bye!
