You go to the party and Megumi can't stop imagining you naked

Friday night came around sooner than anticipated and true to Satoru's usual careless self, he had not gotten in touch with you once since the incident on campus. He has always been that way ever since you met him, he did as he pleased with very little regard of the consequences and you had gotten so used to it that you simply did not have the energy to be upset with Satoru every time he misbehaved. The only consolation you had was that he had scampered out of the room with a serious case of blue balls, but you would imagine it was something he would remedy tonight with his date, if he hasn't already called one of the many other girls he had on rotation.
You frowned at the thought. God, he was such a tool. Most days you just wanted to quit your teaching assistant role, transfer out and block his number so that you can just finish your postgraduate degree in peace. It was easier said than done and unfortunately for you, Gojo Satoru was like a dirty bad habit you just could not kick.
No notifications again. You tossed your phone back onto your bed as you internally scolded yourself for checking; it hasn't even been five minutes since you last checked! It was pathetic and you knew you were better than pining after some obnoxious inconsiderate skirt chaser.
Shaking the intrusive thoughts away, you went back to getting ready for this party you had agreed to go to. This would probably be the first real party you'll attend in a very long time. Postgraduate life did not have quite the same charm as your undergraduate days; you had less opportunities to make friends outside of your class and very seldom do you even go out for a drink these days, much less attend rambunctious parties. You really hoped you still had it in you to drink like you were eighteen, or at least pretend to. It would be pretty embarrassing being the downer of the party and especially if Megumi was going to be there.
Shit. Right.
Fushiguro Megumi was going to be there.
Your face heated up when you remembered what Satoru had said about choosing favourites. How he had guessed you had a small thing for Megumi while he was balls deep inside of you and that stupid grin on his face when you couldn't say anything to deny it.
Your interest in Megumi began pretty much the moment you met him. At first he was just a pretty face you found easy on the eyes and he had a feminine name which you actually found so adorable. That, plus that whole apparent tsundere thing he had going on just made him seem all that much more appealing to you. You had been hoping to get to know him a little bit better over the peer mentoring sessions but he never showed up to any. You didn't hold it against him though; there were plenty of students that did not turn up to the voluntary sessions and they were definitely in the majority so you were used to it.
It did mean that he just a handsome face your eyes would linger on from time to time when you did see him in class or rarely around campus where he would only nod at you from afar. That continued for about a month before you heard him speak. It was not the first time you heard his voice per se, but it was the first time he spoke in a class discussion and shared his thoughts so vividly.
You couldn't even remember what had prompted Megumi to speak but he had spoken up so uncharacteristically and went into such depth about his outlook, which was unsurprisingly kind of bleak; he theorised that the only thing shared equally by all is an unfair reality and the way people coped was telling of their character. People may have different circumstances and may experience hardship in different times of their lives in various ways but if everyone was on the same boat, what gave certain people the right to lash out and turn to criminal activities? Why do the innocent have to pay for their crimes?
It was not a popular take and even you had some thoughts about his points, but Satoru had stopped the interruptions and let Megumi finish and you were glad he did. Because after saying his piece and labelling people as either 'good' or 'bad', he did the unexpected and went on to admit that he didn't consider himself a good person by any means in this scenario namely because a genuinely good person wouldn't be segregating people based off their own beliefs. That all he can do, as someone who recognises the system, was to help the ones he felt were deserving of help the best he could. His conclusion was enough to shut the other students up and it was probably that moment when you fell for him.
Okay, so maybe you did have an actual proper crush on him… a little one. It hasn't been easy admitting it to yourself as there has been no progress whatsoever and you still had the whole situation with Satoru… And despite the man being sadistic, or perhaps straight up diabolical, for whatever it's worth, Satoru was the one who helped you admit that (even if it was only to yourself).
With that said, this evening was going to be a golden opportunity to yes, 'let your hair down' a bit and have some fun, but also to maybe spend some time with Megumi outside of class in a relaxed environment.
The time was getting closer and you didn't realise you had spent a good hour moping about. In the end, you settled for some dark skinny jeans paired with a beige corset top with black lace detail and sleeves. The outfit did not show much skin but it accentuated your curves tastefully and gave you that little boost of confidence you very much needed. You kept your makeup light, everything was rather lowkey apart from the winged liner and rouge lipstick. Your hair was touched even less given that you weren't all that great with hair tools so you just brushed your long dark hair and made sure your barely grown out choppy fringe was in order. It has been a while since you last dressed up like this and you had to admit, you felt good and excited about tonight.
You packed your little purse and pulled your coat on before reaching for your phone. Yuuji had sent you the address and time earlier in the day and you remembered being surprised when you saw it was not far from where you lived. It didn't hurt to check again and you mentally planned the route out in your mind as you slipped your little booties on.
The walk shouldn't take long at all but you did have to take a small detour to the supermarket to buy some alcohol for yourself. While you were there, you decided to buy some extra beers for the freshmen knowing how much they would appreciate it and it was the sort of thing you should do as an upperclassman. It was a nice thought on your part but you had not considered the logistics of carrying a large twelve pack on top of the smaller four pack for yourself. You made an attempt as you headed out of the store with the packs of beers stacked on top of the other, but you were struggling to keep them up; your thin arms were jittering and you had to quickly put everything down on the ground before you dropped them and made a mess.
You considered calling a taxi but it seemed a bit silly to when the house was literally less than ten minutes away. Perhaps you could text Yuuji and see if he could step away from his party hosting duties for a while to come help you but you also decided against it. He was probably busy and as nice as he seemed to be, you did not feel all that comfortable asking him when you hardly knew him.
So here you were, lumbering along the street in the direction of the party. You were making terrible progress and your arms threatened to give out any moment. You must have been quite the sight to bystanders.
"[l/n]-san?"
"Oh god!" you jittered a little when you heard a voice behind you and was surprised to find Megumi standing there when you turned around. He was holding a twelve pack box of his own and looked just as surprised to see you. "Hi Fushiguro-kun… you heading to the party?"
"Yeah. Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," he glanced down at the box in your hands, taking notice of the way your arms were trembling. "Do you want some help?"
"… I might," you nodded back sheepishly but you felt uneasy seeing as he was already carrying a box and two would definitely put a strain on him. "It's heavy though-"
"It's fine, I'm stronger than I look," he brushed off your concerns. "Why don't you stack yours on top of mine?"
You thanked him when he lowered the box he was carrying and you gently placed your box on top of his. You grabbed your four pack off the top of the pile, knowing that the weight probably didn't much difference but at least he wouldn't have worry about keeping the boxes balanced. You two were then on your way with Megumi leading the way towards the party. This was certainly a strange turn of events. It was not quite what you imagined when you thought about spending time with Megumi tonight but you could not fault his impeccable timing, if it weren't for him you would probably still be shuffling down the middle of the street looking like a depressed alcoholic.
It was quiet between the two of you even as you were walking side by side and he showed no inclination of starting a conversation. It wasn't surprising at all and it was a part of him that you liked; that he did not feel the need to fill the silence with mindless chatter and when he did speak, he spoke only with purpose. It was a rare quality and whilst it was something you admired in him from afar, it was quite a different experiencing it first-hand and you somehow ended up being one to mull over the silence. You weren't an overly chatty person either but this was painful and you wondered if your relationship with Megumi would ever get past this awkward point where neither of you seemed particularly comfortable with the other.
Little did you know that Megumi had been haunted by the image of you being fucked by his lecturer the past two days and it was taking every little bit of his willpower not to think about it right now. Hence as to why he was keeping his eyes plastered straight ahead, in fear that the scene might surface in his mind if he looked at you.
"So, you excited for this party?" you eventually asked, unable to take the silence anymore. "… Uh, are you okay?"
"Hm?" he didn't respond and was pulling a strange expression on his face. The very same one Yuuji claimed he wore on his face whenever he spoke to you. "Sorry, what did you say?"
"Was just asking if you were excited about the party…"
"Not really, I was kind of dragged into it," he said, still not quite looking at you. "I live in the same house so I can't really avoid it."
"Oh that's cool, I didn't know you and Itadori-kun lived together," you nodded back. "So the beer is for the party then?"
"Yeah."
"Cool, yeah I bought the big box for you guys but was silly enough to forget about the fact I had to carry it to the party."
"Right."
"…"
The silence was back and it was worse this time. It was enough to make you regret speaking up at all. Maybe it was time to call it quits and just accept the fact that he probably didn't like you or perhaps he already had a girlfriend. Whatever the reason was, you were beginning to see that all signs were pointing to your efforts not being reciprocated and this may have been a lost cause.
Then something unexpected happened. Megumi spoke again.
"… It's getting cold, huh?"
It was a little bit embarrassing how starved for conversation you were because you instantly flipped your attention to him the moment you heard his voice. To your even bigger surprise, Megumi was now finally looking at you and this had definitely caught you off guard and you couldn't be sure that you hadn't just gone red right there and then. He was quite a bit taller than you were so he had to lower his head slightly to fully face you and he was looking you directly in the eyes; something he rarely did in the odd conversations you've had here and there with him. God, he was so freaking handsome and he probably had no idea what kind of effect he had on you.
"Y-Yeah it is," you managed a smile back. "Do you like the cold, Fushiguro-kun?"
"Not particularly."
"Me neither, I'm not good with the cold at all."
It only started with small comments about the weather, but this simple exchange turned into the longest conversation you ever had with him and it lasted naturally for rest of the journey to the party. You already knew that he was clever from his remarks during the class discussion, so it wasn't all that surprising when you discovered that he was observant too. It began with you casually noting that he wasn't dressed very warmly and he responded that it was still too early to be wearing a coat.
"If you don't mind me asking, you're not from this part of Japan are you?"
"No, I'm not," you admitted, surprised how easily he deduced it. "My thick coat gave me away, did it?"
"That and also your accent."
"Oh really? I thought I'd lost my accent."
"It's just the way you pronounce certain things," he shrugged. "It's not really obvious."
"Like which words?"
"…" he looked away.
"Fushiguro-kun?"
"… Like when you say my name," he eventually said quietly as he glanced back at you momentarily before looking straight ahead again. Looking perhaps a little bit embarrassed himself. "You just pronounce it a little different."
"Oh," you felt your chest squeeze. That was so freaking adorable. "I'm sorry, I didn't realise."
"It's fine. There's nothing wrong with the way you speak…"
The house came into view at this moment and you could immediately tell it was the right place by the people hanging around the front and you could hear a hint of the heavy bass of the dance music from the crack of the open front door.
A couple people outside greeted Megumi and recognised you, most were already pretty tipsy and were acting friendlier than usual; they were mostly expressing surprise and excitement of your presence at the party. A girl who was with her friends asked if you were here together with Megumi and you immediately denied it, perhaps a little too ardently, because they stared back at the two of you suspiciously.
"[l/n]-san, can we go in now? Arms getting tired."
"Oh right, yeah. Of course."
You quickly said your goodbyes to the girls and rushed over to the front of the house where you opened the front door. The house had one of those hinged safety doors that closed on its own and it had been wedged open by a large wooden block. You held the door for Megumi and let him through first, he then led you into the house and into the kitchen where he put the boxes down next to the coolers.
A couple guys came over to greet Megumi and from their conversation you gathered that they also lived in the house as they were asking Megumi about the beer-run they asked him to go on and how a second box appeared.
"[l/n]-san bought one of the boxes."
"Seriously?" the guys turned to you.
"Yeah… you guys like beer, right?"
"Are you kidding, we love beer!"
The look of uneasiness on your face instantly turned into a smile when they began cheering your name and helped themselves to the beers. It was all a little bit dramatic and an overreaction on their part but it was rather endearing. You chuckled when you noticed Megumi watching the scene unfold with the most vacant expression you've ever seen on him.
"Well, I'm sure glad I brought something now. Thanks for helping me again," you said as you popped open the buttons on your coat. "Is there anywhere I can hang my coat?"
He watched you undo the last button and swallowed hard when you took off your coat to reveal the spicy outfit you were wearing underneath. The effect your outfit had was stronger than you imagined because just about every person in the room turned to stare as you hooked your coat over an arm and used your free hand to fix your hair. You did notice people looking but what you missed was the way Megumi's gaze lowered as he took in the sight of your curves, voluptuous in all the right places, and you looked so delectable.
"Yeah sure, it'd be safe in my room. I can take it up there," he held his hand out and you gave him your coat with a smile. "Be right back."
"Thanks."
With the only person you really knew now gone, you felt you definitely stood out standing in the middle of the room amongst all these younger people. This was a house reserved for first year students after all and many of them have already quite a bit to drink, but you can't fault them at all as they all appeared to be having a blast.
You procured yourself a drink from the coolers before finding a quiet spot to settle in. It was only ten and the party was already busier than you expected. You weren't shy about having a drink or two but you would really need to start drinking if you wanted to catch up with this crowd. There was an impromptu dancefloor in the middle of the living space which was connected to the open plan kitchen and you had to give Yuuji props because the room did certainly give off a dark and exciting atmosphere with the RGB lights and deep music. The guests were enjoying the setup and making the most of the dancefloor, and it all just made you feel rather old.
"[y/n]-san?"
"Oh hey!" you grinned when you came face to face with two previous students. "Long time no see Yuta-kun and Toge-kun."
"Kelp."
"… I'm sorry?" your smile faltered ever so slightly as you stared back at the blond second year. Toge blinked back at you without much of a reaction. "… Uh-"
"Toge lost a bet so now he has to speak in rice ball ingredients for rest of the evening," Yuta explained with a light chuckle. "The punishment is harsh if he messes up."
"Oh okay, that's something new," you chuckled as you turned back to Toge. "Well, good luck with that."
"Salmon."
You spoke with the second years (well to Yuta, more like) for a bit, you hadn't really had the chance to speak to them since last term when the pair were in Satoru's last cohort of students. It was a great chance to catch up with them and you asked whether Maki was around as well as it would be great to see her as well, but Yuta confirmed your suspicions by confirming that she chose not to come.
"How is Gojo-sensei these days?" Yuta asked. "He's on the news quite often now, isn't he?"
"Mustard leaf," Toge nodded.
"I don't know much about his personal life but he seems like he's doing okay. Nothing's really changed on campus even with all the press," you shrugged as you took a lengthy sip of your beer. "It was a real shame you couldn't take his internship though."
"I kind of regret it now but it can't be helped," Yuta smiled sheepishly. "… Anyways, who are you here with? How did you end up by yourself?"
"Oh, no one in particular. I was pretty much invited as part of a ploy."
"You sure you're not here with that guy?"
"What do you mean?" you turned around in the direction Yuta was nodding towards and saw Megumi standing by the doorway, bottle in hand, watching you guys like a hawk. He looked surprised to be caught staring and looked away. "Oh no, we're just hanging out but he is pretty much the only other person I know at this party."
"Well don't let us keep you," Yuta grinned impishly.
"Tuna, tuna," Toge smirked back at you.
"It's not like that…" before you could finish, they had already walked away and looked to have said a couple words to Megumi when they passed by him. Whatever the said seemed to have struck a chord in him because he immediately headed your way with a light rub of his neck.
"Sorry if I made you and your friends uncomfortable."
"No, not at all," you shook your head.
"Are you sure? One of them looked me right in the eye and said 'fish flakes'. Not sure why but-"
There was so much concern in Megumi's voice and you could not stop yourself from bursting out with laughter, nearing choking on the beer you had been taking a sip from. Megumi's concern was now directed at you as he lightly patted your back as you coughed and he took the bottle from you so you could tap your chest.
"It's absolutely fine," you giggled between coughs. "It's just some bet thing he's doing."
"Right," he was unconvinced but he nodded anyway before passing you your bottle back. He was avoiding your gaze again now that you had recovered from your coughing fit. He was looking out into the room and appeared to be surveying the surroundings like you were earlier, taking in chaos around them. Just like you did earlier, he took a long sip from his drink when he realised how much more enthusiastic everyone else was.
"Ah, Fushiguro-kun," you said when you noticed something on his face. Yes, you had definitely been staring. "Eyelash," you said he turned around to face you and you pointed to your own face where the eyelash was approximately on his. "You have an eyelash on your face, Fushiguro-kun. On the left side… no, my left."
"Here?" Megumi lightly brushed his face with the back of his fingers and while he did touch the dark eyelash, it was persistent and stayed on his cheekbone defiantly. A smile appeared on your face as you continued trying to direct him with words but when it was no help, you simply reached your finger up to brush the stray hair away from his cheek.
The contact of your cool finger on his skin sent a shockwave through his body and he suddenly became very conscious of how close you two were standing together.
"You've got such long eyelashes," you noted before blowing it off your finger and turning back to him with a smile. "So pretty."
He stared back at you, wanting to tell you how beautiful you were. How long and sultry your lashes were. How your cheeks looked so adorable flushed rosy pink like that. How perky and inviting your lips looked, how much he wanted to run his thumb along them and pull you close. How he knew that you liked him too. That you were fucking his lecturer…
Megumi immediately backpedalled his train of thoughts but it was too late, the image flashed up in his mind once again. For days now he's been plagued by what he had witnessed and it was not as simple as catching you two in an affair; though he wasn't quite sure if it could even be classified an affair but he was certain that it could lead to trouble if it ever came to light.
It would have been easier if that was all there was to it, if all had happened was he caught you two getting it on, he could just have enjoyed the show and moved on with his life; let you two carry on with whatever arrangement you had behind doors, but no, his name was said and just like that it had become a lot more complicated. It sucked because he felt involved now and it sucked even more when he couldn't stop replaying the scene but he had even imagined himself being the one fucking you.
'Keep it fucking together,' he pleaded with himself but these intrusive thoughts had a way of finding their way back into his mind it was becoming harder and harder for him not to constantly remember seeing you half undressed every time he looked at you, and how your sweet voice sounded when you moaned.
"You're staring, Fushiguro-kun."
'Fuck,' and then there was that adorable way you said his name.
This was going to be a long night.
