Percy knew he should've hid the baby photos. As soon as Annabeth entered his living room, her eyes lit up as she scanned the walls, small smile on her face. A chuckle escaped her and her feet moved almost as in a trance towards the pictures.

She paused in front of one of him sitting on a park, he must've been around 3, covered in mud head to toe. She grinned as she turned round to him, and his heart pounded in his chest.

'Your poor poor mother!'

He rolled his eyes amused and went to stand next to her.

'Its her fault really, she was the one who let me go to the park!'

Annabeth nudged past him and went to sit on the couch, causing a breathe of relief to escape Percy. He went and sat next to her, grabbing his homework on the way.

'So? You ready for this?' He asked jokingly

She nodded and opened her laptop.

'Yep! Do you want to do the sheet first and then if anythings wrong i can talk you through it?'

Percy nodded in agreement and began working, listening to the sounds of Annabeth's laptop as he went.

It was really hard to concentrate. Here he was, sat on his living room couch with no parents home, and the most attractive girl in school sat next to him. His mind wandered and he pictured what would've been happening if he was Luke right now, lucky bastard. But then he froze, glancing at Annabeth, her glasses resting on her face and adorable puzzled look claiming her features, and he thought to himself, that he was actually super lucky himself.

'You are an angel.' Percy uttered, as he watched Annabeth mark his worksheet. He had completed it the first time, only getting 3 out of 15. But after her help explaining it, he watched as she marked 11 out of 15 right.

'See, Percy, i told you you could do it! That was all you!' She gave him a hug out of happiness and he grinned into her shoulder.

It was at that moment he heard the door unlocking itself, and he paused as new voices flood into the room.

'I know! It was so good, i think the - oh my!'

Percy spun round to face his mom, Annabeth standing awkwardly at his side.

'Um! Hi Mom, this is my friend Annabeth, she was helping to tutor me in science.'

Percy prayed internally that his mom would act normal. She had known about his crush on the streamer for a while now.

Percy's moms eyes lit up as she walked over to Annabeth, who waved awkwardly at her.

'Oh god you poor thing! Trying to teach this one!' Sally uttered, bringing Annabeth in for a hug. 'Im Sally, Percy's Mom. And that's Paul, his stepdad.'

Annabeth looked a little dazed from the hug, almost as if she hadn't had one in god knows how long, and she grinned up at Sally.

'He actually did really well, look!'

Percy's heart melted as she proudly showed off his test scores, causing Sallys Mom to put a hand to her heart in shock, staring at her son. Paul walked over and put his glasses on, analysing the sheet.

'You mean, he did that?'

'Yes sir.' Annabeth laughed.

Paul spun round to face Percy.

'Did you cheat?'

Everyone laughed as Percy shoved Paul, who was chuckling.

'You are welcome whenever you like Annabeth!' Sally spoke as she hugged her son.

Percy's heart melted at the smile that took over Annabeth's face.

After about ten minutes of chit chat, Paul asking how Annabeth's dad was (apparently they worked at the school together), Annabeth sadly announced she had to leave and packed up her stuff. After hugs from everyone and promising Sally that she would be back soon, Percy walked her to the door.

'Un, thank you for today. It was really fun.' Percy scratched the back of his head.

Annabeth smiled up at him then did something that made his heart stop. She kissed him.

Well, only on the cheek. But still.

Percy looked down in shock at her as she pulled away, small smile on her face.

'I had fun too. I'll see you at school!'

He watched in a daze as she spun on her heel and got into her car, driving away into the distance.

Yep, Percy was definitely right, he thought as he brought his hand up to his cheek. She was going to be the death of him.

Piper loudly sighed and dropped to her chair, laying her head on the table. Percy chuckled slightly and patted her head.

'There. There'

Piper groaned loudly and shook her head.

'I don't get it! Why is it so hard to make friends!'

Percy laughed and his eyes scanned around the library where they were sat, seeing if anyone was getting annoyed about the noise. It was pretty empty today though.

All of their other friends had commitments this lunch, sports practice, art class, leaving just him and Piper to hang out. He wont lie and say he doesn't enjoy it. Him and piper have gotten really close, she was like a sister to him, so it was nice to spend time with her without Jason clinging to her arm.

'Have you even spoken to her yet? Trust me, she wouldn't think its weird.' Percy replied.

One thing Percy always admired about Piper is that when she wanted something, she works super hard to get it. Thats how her and Jason got together. However, she does get incredibly frustrated in the process, and she hates waiting.

'You say that like its so easy to speak to her! Like two weeks ago you would've shit yourself at the thought!'

Percy narrowed his eyes at Piper.

'Im a changed man.'

She rolled her eyes in amusement.

'Righttt, like you still don't get incredibly nervous to talk to her.'

Percy shook his head.

'I actually don't!'

Piper raised her eyebrows in disbelief.

'Rightttt! No don't worry, I definitely believe you. But i was just thinking that - oh hi Annabeth!' She cut off, waving at something behind Percy.

He froze, hand rushing to his hair and messing it up slightly.

'Annabeth? Shit? Do i look okay? Does my - ' He got cut off to the sound of Piper laughing. She laughed so hard that tears formed, and Percy shook his head in annoyance.

'You think you're so funny. Really. Im putting you up for adoption. You're kicked out of the friendship group. See you never.'

Piper composed herself and grinned at the boy.

'Im sorry! That was too good! You should've seen your face.'

Percy rolled his eyes, but a smile formed on his face.

'It wasn't that good!'

They lasted about ten seconds before breaking into laughter again.

'For real though, I don't know what i should say, like do i just introduce myself, or - Oh my god its Annabeth.'

Piper's eyes darted to someone behind Percy again, causing him to roll his eyes.

'Piper, you can't get me twice.'

'No for real!' She whispered 'She's coming over!'

Percy chuckled slightly and rolled his eyes, pointing accusingly at his friend who, he'll admit was a good actress. She genuinely looked nervous.

'You just like watching me get all nervous thinking about Annabeth. It's not my fault shes super pretty, and has a super cute laugh and -' Percy continued despite Pipers feeble attempts to shut him up.

He froze, heart stopping when he heard a new voice answer the conversation.

'You think i'm pretty?'

He spun round to see Annabeth, dressed in a denim skirt and oversized sweatshirt, nervously pulling at her sleeves with a shy smile on her face. She was carrying a couple books under her arm.

'Um.' Percy stuttered, looking at Piper for help who simply laughed behind her hands.

Annabeth looked at him challengingly and he paused, grinning up at the girl.

'Yes. I think you're really pretty.'

Annabeth faltered not expecting that reaction, and grinned back at the boy, sitting down on the seat next to him.

'I think you're pretty too.' She nudged his shoulder slightly and his heart melted.

They smiled at each other, before a cough broke them out of their trance.

'Oh!' Percy snapped back into it. 'This is my friend Piper!'

Piper waved awkwardly and Annabeth smiled across the table at the girl.

'Hey! You are also very pretty!'

Piper laughed and sent an approving grin to Percy.

'Why thank you, Ms Chase.'

Annabeth laughed at his friend and then turned back to face him.

'I just wanted to ask if you want to do tutoring tomorrow, i cant tonight because I'm streaming with my brother but I'm free tomorrow.'

Percy nodded in agreement.

'Yeah thats fine by me.'

Annabeth smiled and stood up, collecting her books off the table.

'Okay well see you tomorrow then. Nice meeting you Piper!'

They both watched in a daze as she walked away. It was silent for a moment, before Piper coughed slightly, cheeky grin on her face.

'Percy', she spoke solemnly. 'Im really sorry.'

Percy raised an eyebrow in confusion, opening his mouth to ask a question but Piper continued,

'But you are going to have to fight me for her. I think I'm in love.'

A laugh escape Percy and he swiped at Piper with his book, causing her to laugh and swat him with her own.

The librarian shushed them but they didn't care, laughing together in the back of the library.

He was so happy.
