Percy never wanted this morning to end. He woke up and glanced down, stunned to see Annabeth nuzzled into his chest, clinging to his shirt. He smiled and relaxed into her, pressing his smile into her hair. His arms were wrapped around her waist, and he pulled her closer as she smiled in her sleep.

He could get used to waking up like this.

Leo, snapped him out of his trance, calling from across the room.

'Oh my god I'm getting to old to keep sleeping on the floor. My back is broken!' He dramatically twisted on the floor.

Nico sat up from the couch and rolled his eyes at the boy.

'You're literally 17. Get over it.'

Percy chuckled and the vibrations caused Annabeth to stir slightly. He smiled down at her, kissing her forehead softly.

Her eyes fluttered open and she blinked up at him. She glanced round the room and then noticed how close they were together, but something inside of her must've told her not to move because she stayed snuggled into Percy's side, sending him a smile.

'Morning.'

He grinned at her, brushing a piece of hair from her face.

'Morning.' He replied, eyes soft.

'I exist too you know!' Leo complained from the floor, causing Nico to throw a pillow at him.

Annabeth laughed and pushed of Percys chest, sitting up slightly.

'Morning Leo, morning Nico.' She smiled across at them, causing them to grin.

She picked up her phone, squinting at the brightness, before unlocking it. Percy nudged her as he saw he face drop.

Luke must've text her.

She gazed up at him, and he smiled down.

'Hey, if its him just leave it. Its not worth it.'

Her face softened and she smiled sadly, shaking her head.

'No it's not that. Thalia text me and said she wants to talk. I thought i blocked them both yesterday on everything but i guess i forgot instagram.'

Percy frowned at her, adjusting the blanket so it covered her legs.

'Will you go?'

She shrugged defeatedly.

'I don't know. Maybe at some point. But I'm definitely not ready now.'

Percy nodded in agreement, and Leo piped up.

'Personally i would never speak to them again. But maybe thats just me.'

Nico nodded in agreement. 'I just don't think i could forgive them.'

Annabeth shrugged a little. 'Well, I'm not upset she's sleeping with him, i never really liked him that much.'

She squeezed Percys hand and he grinned down at her. He got the message.

'But', she continued, 'I'm just hurt that she didn't tell me. If i knew she liked him i would've broken up with him asap. Especially if i knew he liked her back. I don't know. But anyway, i don't really want to think about it right now.'

She paused, glancing around the room. 'I promise I'm not normally this depressing.'

The group chuckled slightly and Percy shook his head.

'Anyone in your situation would be mad. Its valid. And we are glad we could help.'

Her entire frame softened and she grinned around the room.

'Thank you all so much. I know i only met you two yesterday but i can tell you're all the sweetest. And I'm excited to hang out more. If you'd let me.'

Percy watched as the boys softened, Annabeth's charm infecting them in the best way. They eagerly nodded, and Leo pointed at her.

'I don't know about sweetest, but I'm definitely the hottest.'

Annabeth rolled her eyes, smile playing on her lips, and Nico shook his head.

Percy could definitely get used to this. Tangled up with the love of his life, best friends by his side, laughing together.

Piper finally woke up about 10am, and stumbled down into the movie room where the rest of the group were watching kids morning tv, Leo making loud comments about how creepy all the creatures looked.

They all eventually fizzled out, Percy offering Annabeth a ride home to which she hesitantly accepted.

After a goodbye from Piper, which included her hugging Annabeth for about ten minutes and telling her no man was worth her tears, they slid in his car with the promise of hanging out tomorrow.

Annabeth stared out the window as Percy put the car in drive and reversed out of the driveway.

'So,' grinned across at her, ' what are you doing later?'

She smiled across at him and explained how she was supposed to be streaming with quite a few of her YouTube friends for the rest of the day. He remembers her posting about it on Twitter.

He nodded along. 'Yeah that should be really good.'

She smirked at him, pointing an accusing finger his way. 'Will you be watching?'

He laughed and winked at her. 'You know it!'

She grinned and settled in her chair, and Percys eyes darted over to her nervously.

'Seriously though,' he spoke, 'Are you okay? You know you can talk to me right?'

She sighed and began twiddling her hair.

'I know i can. The truth is, i don't even know what i feel. I cant blame Thalia for falling in love, i just wish she told me. Im not really upset about Luke at all, i knew he was cheating. But i just didn't expect it to be her, thats all.'

He nodded and focused his eyes on the road. 'I guess, i think the only person who can decide whats best for you, is you. I'll always be here for you though.'

She smiled across at him, and he could see how thankful she was.

'I know, thank you Percy. Right now, it means the world. I have no idea what I'd do without you and Piper. All my friends are his friends, you know? So i would've been completely alone.'

Percy frowned and shook his head. 'Thats not true.'

He continued when she frowned slightly. 'I mean, I'm pretty sure all of those guys would chose you over Luke. Especially Ethan. They listen to you Annabeth, because they respect you, because they like you. With Luke, they only listen because he scares them.'

Annabeth's brows furrowed slightly. 'But i don't want there to be sides. I don't want me to be the reason he has no friends. I know i shouldn't care, but I'd just feel bad.'

Percy hesitated slightly, processing what she just said. She was really too good for Luke, too good for anyone. She still cares about upsetting him after everything that happened.

'You really are the best Beth.' He smiled down at her, grabbing her hand. 'But i said it once and i'll say it again. Fuck him. He doesn't deserve you.'

Annabeth thought for a moment, squeezing his hand and nodding in agreement.

'Maybe you're right.' She replied, eyes focused ahead.

She spun round to face him, and a cheeky grin marked her face.

'At least we could go on a date now. I mean, if you want.'

Percy froze, happiness filling his beating heart. He glanced down at her, seeing her cocky stance, fully aware that he was obsessed with her, and he composed himself slightly. He turned to stare at the road, making his features appear unbothered by her statement.

'Hmm. I'll have to check what the waiting list looks like. There's a lot of girls trying to date me right now.'

She raised her eyebrows in shock and laughed at him, smacking him gently on the arm.

'You ass!' She laughed, causing him to grin.

'Are you free tomorrow?' He asked, as he pulled outside of her house. She shook her head, gathering her things.

'Nah, you lost your chance now. I retract my offer.'

His face dropped and he quickly stuttered out a replied, grabbing her hand to stop her from leaving.

'No! I was joking! I'd love to go out with you.'

She laughed as she opened the car door, and Percy froze as she leant up and kissed his cheek, eyes scanning his face satisfied at how red he got.

She span round and jumped out of the car, grinning as she walked away.

'Im free tomorrow at 7pm, don't be late!'

Percy must've sat in front of her house for the next 5 minutes, stuck in a trance with joy filling his heart.

He'd be lying if he said he didn't go home and watch her stream for the rest of the day, ignoring his moms knowing smile.
