Glasses or not?

"Daddy? Did papa drink last night?" Atem the son from Yugi and Yami asks.

"Why do you say that Atem?" Yugi asks.

"Every time papa had a drink he complains about headache."

"Atem you papa didn't drink last night, we don't have any alcohol, and he didn't drink like that for 10 years!" Yugi says stern.

"But he is complaining!"

"Atem, go and do your homework." Yugi says a bit angry at his 15 year old son.

True Yami did drink allot a couple of years ago, but Yugi kicked him out at some point, he told him if he didn't change he wouldn't take him back.

Yami went to rehab and is alcohol free for 10 years now, sure a drink for the occasion but he sticks with one then.

Yami complains about his head since a couple of weeks now, so Yugi decided he must go to the doctor.

"Yugi, can I have a painkiller please?"

"No baby, you and I go to the doctor, I think there is something wrong."

"I'm fine, just a little headache."

"Yami, I swear if I find a secret stack..."

"No Yugi you won't find any sweetie."

"Then you go with me!" Yugi says angry.

"Yes love, his head low."

"Atem your dad and I go out, watch your sister for us."

"Can't you bring her along!"

"Atem listen, you wanted to help, so I give you the chance, watch Heba, and you'll get paid for it."

"Really daddy?"

"Yes really, but only if you both have fun together, you two need to bond together, now papa and I must go, love you kids."

Heba their 7 year old was born 9 months after Yami returned from rehab.

Yugi and Yami are together for over 20 years now, they never married, like they're friends they are just happy the way things go.

And it's just a paper, there true love is what counts.

At the doctor:

"Sennen!" The doctor cals.

They take a seat and Yugi starts to tell the doctor what's going on, Yami hates being here and refuses to talk whenever Yugi forces him.

The doctor starts examining Yami, "Hmm I think your partner his eyes are going back."

"I refuse wearing glasses, sunglasses okay but no regular ones!"

"He speaks." says Yugi with a grin, and the doctor laughs at the comment.

"Mister Sennen, ever heard of contacts?"

"You think those are okay?"

"We could try mister Sennen, if this isn't working for a month we need to send you for further examination."

"What if his eyesight isn't the problem?"

"Then he could might have something else, but don't jump in conclusions yet, let's try first his eyesight."

"I schedule you for an eye test at the hospital, ah there is a spot open in an hour."

"Do it." Says Yugi.

"But sweetie?"

"No buts Yami, you are going, and the sooner the better, and I need to be there also!"

Yugi calls Atem to tell him it takes longer before they get home, and they went to the hospital after.

At the hospital:

"Yami just cooperate, please I hate it when Atem complains about him thinking your drinking again."

"Sight, but Yugi, I don't want glasses."

"Baby, if your eyesight is enough for contacts, we get those."

"Whey are you so easygoing with this?"

"Okay." Yugi sights, "Watch." And he bends over and takes his contact out.

"I have them from before I met you, I also hated the fact I needed glasses because they bullied me allot back then."

"I never knew."

"Only grandpa knew."

"Okay sweetie, I'll give it a try."

"Sennen!" The eye doctor calls.

"Ah mister Muto, you don't have an appointment until next year."

"Yes but he needs support."

"Okay, and the examination begins."

"Okay doctor what's the verdict?"

"You need glasses, but you can where contacts as well."

"I'll give you a recept."

"Thank you."

"Ow maybe a fun fact, Yami you have the same sight as you boyfriend."

"Sow, he can use my contacts as well?"

"Yes, he can, do you have soft ore hard contacts?"

"Soft, why?"

"Some people give the hard ones the upper hand."

"Okay."

Next stop the store.

At the eye store:

"Ah Yugi I just wanted to call you, your rescript is ready."

"Thanks, this is my boyfriend, he needs the same."

"Used them before?"

"No never needed them."

"Okay, you have a recept?"

"Yes I do, and I don't want glasses!"

"Okay, let's have a look."

"Hmm same sight, Yugi can I use yours?"

"Yes."

"Okay, Yami, I want you to put these in."

"Yami puts in the contacts, and sees inmidietly a lot better."

"Do they hurt?"

"No, it's like they are not there."

"Good, I order you the same then, you can pick them up in a week, I order a week set more this time so you can use them straight away with Yugi."

"Thank you." Yami says while Yugi pays the contacts.

"Ow and Yami, if you have trouble wearing them let me know, then we try different ones."

At home:

"Hey kids, did you have fun?" Yami asks.

"Papa, Atem and I did al kind of games!"

"I can see that, were is Atem?"

"Heba points at the couth and they se Atem sleeping."

"Yugi smiles, and Yami picks Atem up and bring him to bed."

At dinner:

"Kids, we know why papa had al those headaches."

"Why daddy?" Heba asks.

"It seems his eyesight wasn't okay."

"So papa gonna where glasses?" Heba asks.

"No like daddy I where contacts."

"Daddy has bad eyesight to?"

"For a long time now kids."

"Daddy? You promised."

"First you and your sister go clean up the mess you both made." Yugi says stern.

"Aaw, no fun." Heba pouts.

That night Yami and Yugi have a conversation over the fact Yugi did hide his eyesight al those years.

"Why did you hide it for me Yugi?"

"I was afraid you rejected me."

"Sweetie, I would never reject you, never ever, you know, I loved you from the moment you and I met, what still puzzles me is how you putted the contacts in when I lived in the puzzle."

"Bathroom time was my time remember? That was the moment I didn't wear the puzzle."

"Oh yeah I remember."

"I love you Yami Atem Sennen."

"And I love you Yugi Hikari Muto"

Yami got used to the contacts very quick, and he didn't had a headache after that any more.
