Heroes in the Making Obstacle Race
"(I hope you're watching, All Might!)" Izuku thought as he and everyone in the first year are about to sprint.
"BEGIN!" Midnight shouted.
Immediately, all the students start running for their life like it's the end of the world, but they know better and are planning to give this race their all including Izuku and team RWBY.
"And we're off to a racing start!" Present Mic excited to look to Aizawa who is also in the same booth with him.
"How 'bout some color commentary, Mummy Man?" Present Mic asked.
"How did you talk me into this?" Aizawa asked.
"What should we be paying attention to in the early stages of the race?" Present Mic asked again watching the students go into the tunnel.
"The doorway." Aizawa answered with his eyes narrow.
(The Doorway Obstacle)
All of the students now find themselves trap within the small space tunnel as they try to push each other away and struggling to get through as Ruby tries her best, but all she could do is wave her hands in the air panicking. Yang tries to move forward though having trouble with so many people cramping on her space, Weiss didn't like the situation for one bit and suddenly felt someone just touched her butt, and Blake does her best to stay calm while figuring out about this tunnel.
"(I see, so this tunnel is the first obstacle of the race.)" Blake thought.
"(They want to test us to see how we get out.)" Izuku thought, also thinking about this tunnel.
"So, difficult from the start." Shoto commented.
Shoto knew this obstacle would be troublesome trying to past this through normal means and instantly decided to make his own way out, by using his ice Quirk to freeze everyone's feet to keep them down and ran past them taking the lead by several feet.
"Apologies." Shoto said as all the students where will struggle to get out of his ice.
However, he was wrong on the number on students that would get stuck there.
"BOOYA!" Yang shouted as she leaps strongly forward in the air above and ahead of the students.
And she isn't the only one to have escape and avoid Shoto's ice trap: Katsuki using his explosive hands, Weiss with her black Glyph to repelled herself forward, Momo created a long metal pole, Yuga used his navel laser, Eijiro just harden his body and jumps ahead, and Blake used her shadow clone Semblance/Quirk to avoid the ice.
"Nice trick, Todoroki!" Momo commented getting the half user's attention.
"I won't let you get away so easily! You icy-hot bastard!" Katsuki shouted, flying a little faster with his explosion boost.
"You froze me in place once before, it won't happen again." Mashirao stated, remembering how he faced Shoto in the instant defeat of their first day in hero training class.
"Guess you should've made sure we're expecting your ice." Blake commented while Fumikage landed next to her with the help of his Dark Shadow.
Mina is trying to keep herself balance on the freezing and slippery ice by using some of her acid from her feet through the holes at the bottom of her shoes, Izuku comes trying to keep himself balance while sliding on the ice and Ruby appears next to him.
"Awesome, you're doing the thing like during the training week!" Ruby said happy to see Izuku doing feel.
"Yeah, it definitely helps now that I know how to control the small percent." Izuku said before struggling with his balance again.
"Just remember to feel it through you whole body like we talked about." Ruby mentioned before almost tripping and balance herself on one leg.
"Why is this ice so slippery?" Ruby asked.
"Hey Ochaco, I thought you would have used your Quirk back there." Yang said carefully running alongside.
"No, I got to wait for the right time to use it." Ochaco said.
Hitoshi is seen being carried by three other students though their expressions appear to be in a deep trace with the eyes blank.
"So, they are good at using their powers, huh?" Hitoshi impressed a bit.
"I didn't expect so many people to dodge that, especially those from the other classes." Shoto surprised.
Izuku tries to run on the ice though it became difficult for him to stop sliding and bump into Mina grabbing onto her with his arms around her waist.
"Sorry about this, Mina." Izuku apologized.
"Don't worry, I never learned how to skite either." Mina admitted while trying to keep herself in balance.
Ruby uses her Rose Speed to dash through the ice path by one short distance at a time trying to catch up to Shoto, but then she notices something on the icy ground and barely avoids it seeing that it's a familiar purple ball.
"Huh, does that look like…?" Ruby paused and then a laugh.
The purple balls on the icy ground does in fact belong to Minoru Mineta bouncing his way to Shoto using his Pop Off Quirk to make a path that only he can use.
"You think you're so cool, but I've outsmarted you! Ha, how pathetic, Todoroki!" Minoru smirked.
"Whoa, that little guy knows when to get moving." Yang shocked.
"If only he uses that focus during class." Momo exclaimed.
"Eat this, my special attack!" Minoru excited to use the move he has been working on.
However, before Minoru could even shout out the name of his attack as he took one ball from his head, he suddenly got hit by a robot sending him crashing onto the ground.
"Are you okay?" Izuku asked.
"Huh, Izuku, what are those things?" Ruby asked pointing at the dozens of robots in front of them.
"Targets acquired. Targets eliminated." One robot said.
"It's those robots from the entrance exam!" Izuku recognized.
"Uh, you mean the ones you had to destroy to get enough points to get into UA High?" Ruby remembered Izuku telling team RWBY about that during training.
"(Atlas robots look far more advance than these bots.)" Weiss thought of the Atlas human-shaped robots.
"Oh, enemies have shown up out of nowhere! I bet we're in for a treat here! A test of strength and cunning! It's a Robo Inferno!" Present Mic said as the three giant zero-pointers appear on the field as well.
"THEY CAN MAKE BIGGER ONES?!" Weiss gasped, even she's not sure if Atlas have made robots that big.
"Are those the zero-point villains from the practical test?" Denki asked scared as the other course students are also shocked to see that the hero course had to face those robots during the exam.
"So, this is what the other students face in their entrance exam." Shoto said as he got in by recommendation and only took a small test.
"Where's the school even get the funding for these things?" Momo wondered.
"I don't know, but I'm liking the danger. Bring it on!" Yang taunted.
"Are you crazy?!" Kyoko shocked that if Yang is really brave or really stupid.
One Zero-pointer threw its right hand to the students to crush them though as the same time, Shoto begun to unleash his ice Quirk.
"They obviously went through a lot of trouble, but I'd wish they'd prepared something a little more difficult." Shoto insulted the Zero-Point villain robots.
"Especially since my dear-old dad is watching." Shoto said and almost completely froze the entire giant robot and ran between its legs.
"Dude, he stopped the robot!" One student shocked.
"Look, between the legs. We can get through." A female student pointed.
"No, don't! It's a trap!" Weiss warned.
"She's right, I froze that one while it was off balance on purpose." Shoto explained as the zero-pointer fell forward causing a shockwave.
"That's Todoroki from Class 1-A pulling ahead to an early lead with a devastating display!" Present Mic commented.
(With Aizawa and Present Mic)
"Amazing! He's one we should watch; it almost seems unfair! Thoughts?" Present Mic said and wondered what Aizawa would say about this.
"His attack was both offensive and defensive." Aizawa stated.
"No wonder he was let in on recommendations! He never even fought those Robo Infernos before, but they didn't stand a chance against his chart-topping moves!" Present Mic impressed.
(Back to the Robo Inferno)
Seeing those robots in front of him reminds him of how he first faced one robot and became completely scared that his feet wouldn't move, but this time is different. This time Izuku won't shake in fear because he is now stronger than that time.
"Is that guy crazy? He could have crushed us into paste!" Ruby angered.
"Hey! There's someone trapped under that robot!" One student with a clown face alerted.
Suddenly, something or someone burst right out of the back of the zero-pointer robot.
"I'm alive!" Eijiro shouted as he used his Hardening Quirk to survive.
"Kirishima from Class 1-A! What a hardcore debut for this rookie!" Present Mic surprised.
"Todoroki, I can't believe you pulled something like that. Sheesh, anyone but me would have been killed." Eijiro angered a little.
"Class 1-A really is full of jerks!" A voice said and also came out from the robot is Tetsutetsu with his whole body metal because of his Steel Quirk.
"I'll smash that ice guy when I get my hands on him." Tetsutetsu angered.
"WHOOO! Tetsutetsu from Class 1-B was also stuck underneath! What are the odds?" Present Mic surprised more.
"Ya know, anyone other than me woulda been killed." Tetsutetsu pointed out.
"Our Quirks are basically the same! How am I supposed to stand out now?" Eijiro cried.
"You damn copycat!" Tetsutetsu yelled.
"Man, how lucky are they? They don't have to worry about being crushed." Denki said feeling jealous of their Quirks.
"Wait, I think Yang was under there!" Kyoko panicked.
"Oh no, Yang is pancake!" Ruby feared.
"Wait, she has her damage absorbing Quirk!" Izuku remembered.
And right on cue, Yang came bursting out of the Zero-Pointer's back screaming in rage as her eyes turned red and her hair glowing of being covered in flames.
"And a third person shows up from under the robot?! Is that girl crazy or what?" Present Mic shocked.
"Another problem child to deal with." Aizawa exclaimed.
"Oh man, that was way more than I thought, but I survived, and nothing is going to stop me now!" Yang smirked and ran to catch up with the boys.
Then Katsuki launched himself into the air and flying over the other two Zero-Pointers with his explosions.
"(No way am I letting Todoroki beat me.)" Katsuki thought determined to beat that half guy.
"Class 1-A's Bakugo is rocketing over the obstacle. Clever!" Present Mic commented.
"I'm still surprise you can be smart despite that brute personality of yours." Weiss commented as she leaps into the air using her White platform Glyphs.
"Yeah, I'm impressed too." Hanta said as he uses his Tape Quirk to swing himself high.
"I'll hitch a ride on my Dark Shadow, let's go!" Fumikage said.
"Aye aye, man!" Dark Shadow excited.
"I better get moving too!" Blake hopped on the side of the down Zero-Pointer to catch up with the others.
(At the Stadium)
"Looks like all the pack leaders from Class 1-A. At least for now." Snipe said.
"It's not that 1-B and the other students are doing poorly. It just..." Toshinori grinned.
"Class 1-A learned not to hesitate." Aizawa said unknowingly finished Toshinori's sentence. Watching his students taking down the other smaller villain robots while moving forward of the race.
"They've seen what the real world is like. They've felt the fear of facing villains, yet they fight on, trying to overcome that fear. They've grown. All of them." Aizawa believed.
"That includes the four new transfer students we have." Aizawa watched Ruby on the screen blitzing pass three robots before they could even react.
"They also experienced the same thing as well before coming here, and they know they have to act quickly if they want to stay alive." Aizawa said.
(With Izuku)
Izuku kneels down and close his eyes for a moment.
"Excuse me, what are you doing?" Ibara asked.
Ibara is a girl of medium height with green, thorn-covered vines for hair, one set wrapped around her forehead a couple of times. Breasts sizes: E-cup.
Izuku didn't answer as his body starts to glow of fainted light-green glow and little sparks of lightning emitting around him while his veins glow red for a moment, then he opens his eyes before launching himself forward at one villain robot with a flying straight kick breaking it in half then he threw a right hook at another robot sending it flying.
"(Okay, I'm definitely getting better at using 5% of One for All thanks to the help of the girls.)" Izuku thought smiled.
"(I even thought of the name for this.)" Izuku thought for this mode.
"Full Cowling!" Izuku said out loud.
"(But even so, I shouldn't keep relying on it even in this early in the game.)" Izuku thought as he dodged a strike from one robot, and he spotted something to his right.
"(A piece of the robot Todoroki knocked down!)" Izuku thought giving him the idea to take it to use it as a shield.
He then uses the metal piece to slash the arm off of the robot that has him targeted and kicks him away. As he is about to run past the giant robots, a few of them got blast down and they knocked down the other ones with them, Izuku turns his head to see that Momo was the one who did it using her Creation Quirk make a large cannon.
"Piece of cake." Momo said before running.
"Wow, she beat a zero-pointer so easily! No wonder she got in on recommendations!" Izuku amazed of Momo big mind and great Quirk, also admiring the view of her big breasts.
"Huh? Where did that come from? I'm not a pervert like Mineta!" Izuku gasped blushing.
(With the UA Staff)
"You're better off dodging those big fellas most of the time. But if you gotta take them down, they're just slow, dumb hunks a' metal, pretty easy to hit. Long as you land a smart shot, that is." Snipe pointed out.
Meanwhile, Toshinori remember the talk he had with Young Midoriya and team RWBY about introducing themselves to the world during that conversation last week before the break, he can tell the girls will do just fine and glad that Izuku seem to have found a new way to control One for All. But that didn't wash away all of his worries for his successor.
"(I've asked so much of you, Young Midoriya. You don't have to come in first, just get to the next round!)" Toshinori thought hoped.
(Back in the Obstacle Race)
"For those of you who thought the first obstacle was easy, let's see how ya eel about the second one." Present Mic smirked.
"Okay, this should be no probl-AAAAAHHH?!" Ruby screamed as she stopped herself from falling over a very, very, very deep cliff as she and the other students are shocked to see this as well.
"If they take a spill, they're out! If they wanna pass this test, they'll have to get creative. It's the Fall!" Present Mic revealed the whole area is a giant pit with large stone pillars and rope connected between them.
"My word, UA doesn't hold back on these things." Weiss surprised.
"And I thought Beacon had the rough tests." Blake commented.
"When did they even have time to built something like this?" Ochaco asked.
"We sure have been "pitted" against this trial." Yang punned.
Ochaco, Yang, and Mina saw Tsuyu bending down then jump several feet away landing on the rope like an expert acrobat.
"This is my moment, easy peasy." Tsuyu said confident as she gets across the rope.
"Whoa, she's fast!" Mina commented.
"Well, given her flexible and her Quirk, I say this is the perfect place for her." Blake stated.
"But even so…" Blake jumped forward with a few twirls before landing on the rope with her feet. "Frogs aren't the only animals that are flexible." She grinned.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
The first obstacle: the Robo Inferno, and I'm sure they can get pass the Fall without 'falling' to their doom though I think they will have to be more worried about the third and final obstacle as things might get blown up in their faces. Izuku has certainly improved more than in the anime show as he has showed his Full Cowling power, now he will have to hope that it is enough to get through the first event of the UA Sports Festival!
