Half a year has past sins Yugi won the ceremonial duel, and Atem has gotten the opportunity to live with his friends until his time has come, only catch? He needed continue protecting Yugi, and because of his secret love for Yugi, he accepted, but didn't find the courage yet to tell him about his secret, first he wanted to know how their friends would react.
Yugi's grandfather took him in like his own grandson, and send him also to school, according to the documents Kaiba could make, Yami is with Joey and Tristan a year older, and however Tea is the youngest of the knit group, Yugi is the baby.
Two months ago grandpa died in his sleep, he went to bed to never wake up again.
And how much Yugi was crying when the ceremonial duel was over, he now didn't, he only cried during the funeral.
Atem also started noticing some strange behaviour coming from Yugi, he looks tired, his eyes don't shine, he doesn't smile like he used to do before but there is another thing he worries about, so he called the gang together for a secret meeting when Yugi is out to the library for a school project, especially after tonight.
ATEM'S POV:
"Hey guys glad you all could make it."
"Shure bud what's up?" Joey asks, "and nice eye."
"I want to ask you something first, before I tell you what happened with my eye!"
"Okay shoot." Tristan says.
"Uhm, well, tell you the truth, I'm not straight."
So you're Bi?" Tea respond.
"N.n.no I'm totally not interested in girls like that kinda way, at all." Atem says a bit scared, he knows about the crush Tea has towards him, but saw her never more as a friend.
"What? You don't like having a special someone at all?" Joey asks confused.
"No Joey, are you that stupid? Atem is gay." Tea and Tristan say.
"Oh... Is that all? You have someone special in sight?" Joey reacts.
"So you all okay with it?" Ignoring Joey's second question.
"Yeah why not? Love is special even if you are with someone of the same gender or not. But why this meeting without Yugi?" Tea asks with a bit off sadness in her eyes.
"Uh... huh? Oh yeah, um I'm worried about him and don't know what to do."
Then tell us Atem." Tea says.
"Well since grandpa died he doesn't look like the happy man I met before, he cried only at the funeral, looks very tired, and since a couple of nights he is sleep walking."
"But Yugi never sleepwalked before, so why now?" Tea says. Knowing the two are friend's since kindergarten and had sleepovers almost every weekend.
"That's what I'm trying to figure out, last night I found him on the bathroom he was washing himself with the water out of the toilet, I told him to take a proper shower, he woke up and hit me in the eye, It took me a while to calm him down, because he was in a state of panic, When he finally was calm he cried because he had hit me, I told him it could happen to everyone and he needed a shower, and me to because I gave him comfort, When he was back in bed he didn't want to sleep alone so I stayed the remainder of the night with him. This morning he asked me why I was sleeping next to him, and why I have this black eye, he was mad at me because he denied he was sleepwalking when I told him."
"Well, we help figure this out, this behaviour is indeed new for Yugi, and think of it, he isn't himself lately, and last week he got a C, for ancient Egypt! His favourite class! Yugi is none to be a straight A student so something isn't good with him." Tea says.
"But how do we do it guys?"
"Well I think it's best if we stay over next couple of nights, so we can see what he does, and maybe film it to confront him with it. We can ask a doctor what to do to make it stop, and we all try to figure out what is bugging him so much." Tristan says.
"But how we do know for sure he sleeps?" Tea asks.
"Uhm" I try to remember what I see, his eyes they are open but the expression is glazed, and the pupils are completely dilated, I says and shiver, "It's a scary thing to see."
"And his arms?" Joey asks.
"Hmm" I hum and shake my head, "He does not walk like in a movie with his arms forward."
"A shit. OW!" Joey says after a hit in the head from Tea.
"Don't worry Atem, we will figure this out." Tristan says.
"Thanks guys."
But how do we do it? We all know Joey can sleep past a hurricane, and Atem sure as hell needs sleep as well I mean look at him he looks like shit, no offence man." Tristan says.
"Non taken, Tristan." I say.
"We take turns, since its holiday we can allow one person to stay awake for the night." Tea says.
"Then let's make a schedule." And that's what they do.
"Okay, we go home now and grab our stuff, and be back after dinner." Tea says.
Their meeting just on time adjourned Yugi walks in.
"Hey guys, why are you all here?"
"Atem has some love problems he wanted to discuss how to do it." Tea says.
"Oh, did it work?" Yugi asks with a bid sadness in his eyes.
"That we hope to find out soon enough Little One."
"Yeah we head off now, see the two of you in a couple off hours."
"What do they mean Atem?"
"They stay over for a couple off days, is that okay by you?"
"Yeah whatever, I'm going to take a shower Yami." he says a bit bitter.
Oh Yugi I hope we can figure out soon what is bugging you my sweet loving Hikari and I hope I can close you soon in my arms as my loving boyfriend. Atem thinks before walking to the kitchen to fix dinner.
NO ONCE POV:
So that was what the guys did, they stayed over a couple of days to monitor Yugi's sleeping habits.
Night one Tristan's watch:
They all try to figure out who Atem his crush is, Atem however keeps his mouth shut, they play games on the Wii until they passed out on the place.
As soon as everybody sleeps Tristan watch begins, he plays games on his phone to stay awake and sometimes he scribbles the motions Yugi makes in his sleep in a note book with the time.
Nothing happens this night, Yugi is just sleeping.
The next morning after waking up and breakfast they go to the arcade and have lots of fun there.
Night two Atem's watch:
Like Tristan, Atem takes his phone as well and plays games, he also scribbles the motions Yugi makes with the time in the notebook.
At some point Atem needs to go to the bathroom and he scribbles it down, why he doesn't know, something says him to do so, when coming back, he sees Yugi nowhere!
He looks everywhere and when he discovers the front door is open, "Shit!" he swears, "Pissing for a minute and he goes outside!" He wakes up the others and they start looking for him.
Atem finds him in an ally bumping himself against the wall, carefully so he doesn't wake Yugi, he takes him by his hand and guides him back home, he looks at Yugi's head and luckily he didn't harm himself, he tucks Yugi back in and then he called the others to inform them Yugi is safe.
After he called the others he takes the notebook and scribbles the time for how long Yugi went missing, next he waits for the others to return.
They all agree that the keys by night go on a different place so he can't walk out again.
If they wake up next morning, Yugi has a bit of a headache and a painkiller helps him to get rid off it, next they all decided to go shopping and burger world.
Night three Tea's watch:
A scream screeches to the night starling the three sleeping guys, yes even Joey, and they run to the bathroom, to find a very embarrassed Tea pointing to the toilet, and a sleeping Yugi standing in front of it, PJ pants and boxer on his ankles, it's obvious he was jerking himself and is now finished. Atem pulls Yugi his pants up cleans his hands, and guides Yugi back to his sleeping bag while Joey and Tristan try to calm Tea down.
In the kitchen after Tristan made some tea, Tea starts to speak. "Yugi woke up and went to the front door, once he figured out that the door could not go open he went to the bathroom, I remembered what Atem told us about the fact Yugi washed himself with toilet water, so followed him only to find him jerking himself off. that was when I started screaming."
The guys have trouble to keep their cool and start all laughing giving the three a whack against the head by Tea. "OOOWWW!" they all cry and Atem only says. "That's what you get when you walk in on someone, next time wake me, Tristan or Joey. So you don't have to wake the neighbourhood." He sounds a bit mad.
"We can be glad Yugi didn't wake up from your screaming. What if he hurt Tea by doing so!" Joey says, still rubbing his head, and pointing to the blue spot Atem still has under his eye.
JOEY'S POV:
Today Yugi asks if we can go to the park, so we all prepare a basket for a picnic, we bring a ball and a Frisbee along to have fun with.
At the park Yugi goes to the swings, but he isn't swinging like he used to do, he just is staring.
Tea saw they forget to pack some drinks so she, Tristan and Atem went to the store to get some, I decide to talk with Yugi for a bit.
"Hey buddy, what's up?" I say and go sit on the other swing.
"Can I ask you a question?" Yugi asks.
"Yeah of course Yugi what's on your mind?"
"Uhm, you know about my crush around Tea huh?"
"Yeah, but lately I have the feeling she isn't your crush anymore."
"Because it is, and I'm scared about my new crush, and you guys."
"What about it kiddo? What is scaring you?"
"Uhm... How do you think of uhm... you know... gay people?"
"Hey buddy, I think it's a wonderful something to be with your special person, even if you are gay, straight or bi..."
And then something clicks.
"Yugi? Does this mean you have a guy as crush?"
Yugi nods and turns bright red, and whispers, "Somehow I don't have interest in girls anymore at all, and I don't think I can see him as a crush, but..."
"But..." I softly push him to tell.
"It's one of you guys."
"Who me? Sorry kiddo, but I have a girl in mind."
Yugi shakes his head in a no.
Then it clicks, Yugi never was that close with Tristan that figures, so there is only one person left in this close knit group of friends, our newest member. "You are in love with Atem am I right?" I ask in a soft voice.
He nods, and says then, "But I'm afraid to ask him, I mean what if he is straight? What if he gets disgusted by me, what if...!"
"Yugi, hey buddy calm down, listen never ever will I allow him to be discussed by you, and you only will find out if you tell him."
"But how do I tell him?"
"I think I know how, don't worry I take care of it."
"Thanks Joey, you're the best."
"Come on buddy, they are back."
NO ONCE POV:
Night four Joey's watch:
Joey run home for a new movie he purchased last week, knowing Yugi hates horror movies, and Atem's protective nature towards Yugi he figured out who Atem's crush is and wants to bring them together.
The others setting up for movie night, they pop popcorn, place cans with soda's and candies on the coffee table. And also picking a movie to watch.
First they watch the movie Tea picked out, Mama Mia, next the Prince of Egypt picked by Atem, next they watch transformers picked by Tristan, then they watch Hercules picked by Yugi, and last but not least, Annabelle, picked by Joey.
"What are you doing Joey? You know Yugi is terrified by horror movies!" Atem whispers.
"Such Atem, I know who your crush is and going to help you with that." trust me.
"If he gets nightmares on top of the sleep walking I'm going to kill you in person!" Atem threatened him, not hearing what Joey just told him.
"Relax, it will solve some off the problems."
Together they watch the movie, Yugi scared of course snakes closer to Atem, and with the first jump scare he jumps in Atem's lap.
Atem's protective nature towards Yugi, of course kicks in and he takes Yugi in a close comforting embrace, he looks mad at Joey, only to see Joey's smiling and giving a wink? Then Joey picks his phone and starts typing something.
Atem feels his phone vibrate and see the text is from Joey, it reads.
He is gay to
Atem gets then what Joey tries to do, smiles back at Joey, and mounds a quiet thanks.
He feels Yugi shiver a bit so he pulls a blanket over them both, and with the second jump moment he grabs his chance, he forces Yugi to look at him, the poor boy is scared like hell and it's Atem's mission to calm him down.
Slowly he closes the gap between him and Yugi and then starts kissing him, he feels Yugi melting in the kiss, he licks the lip asking Yugi to open and Yugi gives in.
A heated tongue battle begins, and both being competitive towards each other, it's a draw.
After the kiss Yugi buries his head against Atem's chest and slowly falls in a calm sleep.
That night Yugi sleeps close against Atem, and nothing happened.
Morning:
The gang wakes up, seeing Atem and Yugi sleep together in a lovely embrace.
"Aah that's sweet." Tea claimed softly. "Come on let them sleep for a bit."
The three of them walk towards the kitchen and Tea starts preparing breakfast.
"Yeah, but what if Yugi is straight? And what if he isn't Atem's crush?"
"O shut up Tristan, did the two of you really not see what happened between the two of them? They are both gay and they are in love, with each other, why do you think I picked that horror?"
"Joey you snake! You did that on purpose?" Tea asks
"Yup, when the three of you went to the store I talked with Yugi, and it clicked when he told me he was gay as well."
"Wow, who could have guessed that, Joey the matchmaker." Tristan says.
"Yeah, and if they wake up, we are going to talk with Yugi about his emotions."
"Why?" Tea asks
"I saw my mom when I went to get that movie, and talked a bit with her over Yugi's sleepwalking, and my mom think he doesn't show his emotions now, which can explain the sleep walking."
If Joey sees the confused faces from Tristan and Tea he starts listing.
"Think about it guys, the tired moments, the lack of interest in class, the fact he doesn't smile like he used to do before, the shine that's not showing in his eyes, the lost off and the fact he didn't cry when he found gramps, Yugi is hiding his emotions and we all know how well he can perform! But he is the happiest when he can show his emotions."
That's the click Tea and Tristan indeed as well.
"Morning." Atem says while rubbing the sleep out his eyes, and him not being a morning person a bit grumpy.
Joey hands him coffee and he sits down.
"Yugi up already?" Tea asks.
"Yeah, nature called him." Atem says between his yawns.
Then Yugi steps in, "Morning everybody."
"Morning Yugi." They all say except Atem, he pulls Yugi in his lap and gives him a sweet kiss on the cheek, and Yugi giggles and gives a kiss back.
And then he giggles again, that they didn't hear in a while.
After breakfast they went to the living room. Tristan connects the cam recorder at the television they used to monitor Yugi, and Atem starts explaining.
"Yugi the reason I ask the guys to stay over is because your behaviour the past couple of weeks."
"What behaviour?"
"Remember a couple of days ago? When I told you why I had a black eye and why I slept next to you?"
"Yeah you told me I was sleep walking, which I don't!"
"Well actually, we have proof and according to Joey he thinks he knows why you do it also."
"Lies! I'm not a sleepwalker!"
"Sigh, then please look at this Little One, start it Tristan." Atem says.
The five of them watching the film they recorded past four nights.
If the movie is done Yugi is in shock, not the necessary fact he actually does it that he believes now, but the fact Tea saw him.
YUGI'S POV:
How in the world is it possible Tea saw me do that and I can't remember? Why not one of the guys walking in on me, NO! It's Tea for crying out loud! I think by myself.
Joey asks, "How are you feeling buddy?"
"I...I...I don't know."
"Yes you do, you are not the Yugi we know, and we miss you." Tea says.
"I...I...I feel like I miss something."
"Something, or someone?" Tristan says.
"Yugi, I know you miss grandpa, but what you are doing now, it scares us, it scares me, please tell us?" Atem says.
"Fine, I do miss grandpa!"
"Then why don't you show it buddy?" Joey asks.
"What do you mean Joey?"
"Yugi, you are a guy who shows his emotions, and hiding them like you do now, makes you do that what we just showed you." Joey points to the TV.
"B...but, I don't want to be the baby, I say softly."
"Yugi, sweetie, you are the baby in our group, that's what makes you, you, and we all love you for that, I love you for that." Atem says.
"Please Yugi, don't hide your emotions." Tristan begs.
"Yeah, we won't judge you for it, we never did it before, and we won't do it in the future, we are friends." Tea says.
"We would never abandon you if you scared of that, and every group has a baby." Joey says.
"They are right Sweetie, please show us the emotion you are holding in." Atem says.
I look at them, they all look in a loving caring way at me, and Atem showing the most love.
I feel tears coming in my eyes, run towards Atem and cry, he closes his arms around me, and it doesn't take long to feel closing in by Tristan Tea and Joey as well.
All my emotions I didn't want to come out for the past two months now flow out, my sadness around grandpa, the fear of losing my friends, and my feelings towards Atem, and my friends? They cry with me, I cry the whole reminder of the day, and they patiently give me the much needed comfort and support I was so desperate trying to hide.
TRISTAN'S POV, FIVE YEAR LATER:
Glad that's over, Yugi got his happy shine back in his eyes and he smiles like he used to do before, if he is sad or something is bugging him he doesn't hide it anymore, from what I have heard the sleepwalking is over after our whole week sleeping over, he also accepted the fact he is our baby brother, because that is how we see each other, brothers and sister.
What he was embarrassed by the fact Tea walked in on him, yeah now he laughs about that, we all do.
Joey finally ended up with Mai, they also are married and having a girl, a feisty three year old little thing they called Kim.
Tea is a professional dancer, and found herself a nice looking girl, yes you read I correct, a girl. Tea turned out to be Bisexual, she also is married and they asked both Yugi and Atem to be sperm donor for their baby's.
Both Chris and Tea carried one baby, and they have now a two year old boy they called Heba and his twin sister they called jasmine, both have a caramel coloured skin, only the bronze like Atem has in his caramel-bronze they don't have, they both have the innocence facial looks from Yugi, but both they have the spicy spirits of their moms
I look with love to my wife Serenity and her belly which holds our baby boy who we going to call Mike, I convinced Joey I would take good care of her, and now he is my brother in law.
Being the technical guy in our group I'm now filming a special day, yes, the only two in our group who are not married yet, but were the first couple coming together, Yugi and Atem.
Atem is standing at the altar in a black suit white blouse and a amethyst coloured tie, waiting for his fiancé and soon to be husband Yugi.
Yugi comes now over to the altar, he is wearing a nice white suit black blouse and a crimson tie, it looks amazing.
They say their vows and exchange the rings. A sweet but passionate kiss is to been seen.
The reception is amazing, we all have fun and dance, and finally the ones who came together first, have sealed the deal last.
TEA'S POV, A YEAR AFTER THE WEDDING:
"Tea, wake up honey, we need to call the guys." I hear Chris say.
I wake up and feel a sharp pain in my belly, I see its 2AM, that's a relieve.
"Oef, I'm glad if this is over, after this no more." Chris says.
Chris and I take our three year old kids to the neighbours, and tell them it's time.
One of them takes us to the hospital, yes the both of us are pregnant again, but this time we both carry the kids for Yugi and Atem.
In the hospital Yugi and Atem are already there, we didn't want them there when our kids were born but now we allow the daddy's to be with us, everything of the process they were there, so the final part is one they also need to be with.
Like when they donated us sperm, they asked the doctors if they could mix it in other to give them both of their daddy's looks, and if we look at our beautiful boy and girl it worked out amazing.
"Hey you, ready to meet your twins? Chris asks.
"Totally." they say in unison, it's a scary twin thing the two of them picked up after getting together, they told us they did it already when Atem still was a spirit in the millennium puzzle, and it never truly stopped.
Five hours contractions, I'm exhausted and still the baby isn't out.
"Okay miss Gardner, one more push." I hear the doctor say to Chris. A loud scream and, "It's a girl!"
"How do you call her?" the nurse asks. And Yugi and Atem look at each other and say then, "We call her Hikari."
I'm not so lucky six more hours I'm in labour, and then finally the doctor says, "Okay you may push now."
One push is needed to get the baby out, and like a feisty thing he already is, he starts to scream.
"Well hello to you too little guy." the nurse says.
Atem is holding Hikari, so Yugi gets the little boy in his hands.
"How do you call him?" The nurse asks.
"Yami." say they both in unison.
I smile, it's not because their skin colour is different, no it's because Yugi called Atem Yami before, and Atem called Yugi often Hikari, a beautiful way to show their nicknames for each other.
It's strange not having these two baby's as our own, but it's okay, they are born out friendship, just like Heba and Jasmin are, and they all will now who their daddy's and mommy's are.
Five year after the birth of Yami and Hikari:
Yugi and Yami are amazed how much the kids look like them and not like their moms at all.
Hikari looks most like Atem in her face, her eyes are amethyst with a hint of crimson in them, but she has the sweet nature from Yugi.
Yami however has the same facial looks like Yugi, his eyes are crimson red eyes with a hint of amethyst in them, and he has the same temper Atem has.
"Daddy? When come our auntie's." little Hikari asks at Yugi.
"They will be arriving shortly sweetheart, were is your brother and dad?"
"YAMI!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOUNG MAN!"
"I think dad found him." she giggles.
Atem holds their son out strength in his arms like he is disgusted of him, his outfit totally dirty.
"What happened Atem?" Yugi asks shocked.
"Our son found a mutt pool which the neighbour's dog pooped in while he was taking early swimming class." Atem respond with a stern voice but humour in his eyes.
"Sigh, I go bath him again, you take clean clothes for him?"
"Yes sweetie." Atem says and gives Yugi a kiss.
"Eeeeuw dad!" The twins yell.
"What can't I love your daddy?" Atem pouts.
After Yami is cleaned up and has a new outfit, Tea Chris and their twins arrive. They start to walk towards the park for the youngest twin's birthday.
"Mommies? Daddies?" The four of them gather around.
"How come you all are our daddy's and mommy's?" Heba asks.
"And, who is my daddy then?" Hikari asks.
"Well sweetheart, Aunt Chris is your real mommy and aunt Tea is Yami's real mommy, but the both of us are your real daddy." Yugi explains.
"And the same count for us?" Jasmin asks.
"Yes dear, the same counts for you, Heba came out of my belly and you came out mom, but you both have Atem and Yugi as father." Tea says.
"Hey look I see the others." Atem says.
The kids run off, "Okay, I think we need to tell them soon." Atem sight.
"Love, we wait until they ask how, what they know now it's good enough for them." Yugi says.
Yeah you're right, and with a loving kiss they walk to the adult gang and look to the young gang, knowing they would be together for a very long time.
Five years have past by:
"Daddy's? We know you can't carry baby's so aunt Chris and Tea carryd us, but how come we both look like the two of you?"Hikari asks
"Thats because our semen was used to create you sweetheart." Atem says.
"Wait, you where married with daddy but slept with both aunt Chris and Tea? And you too daddy? Thats gros" Yami says horrified.
"No Yami, in order to get kids of our own, we putted semen in a jar, the doctors mixed it, and placed you with a serynge in your aunts wombs." Yugi explains.
"And how are have Heba and Jasmin the darker skin like dad has?" Hikari asks.
"Because your aunts asked us to be your cousins sperm donor. And we said yes. They also mixed the semen to let them look a bit like us." Atem says.
"Okay thats weird." The twins exclaim and run to their room.
"Was that truly weird?" Atem asks.
"Basicly it is, but with our big happy family. Do we care?" Yugi asks in a soothing voice.
"No, I like our big weird happy family." Atem says with a smile and kisses his husband.
