Feelings
Why do my non-mission encounters with Ronon always turn out so pathetically? I start out so brave and cool and knowledgeable and, within minutes, I become the blithering idiot of Atlantis.
Is it because he's a man? I doubt it, since there are dozens of them around every day.
Is it because he's from this very different galaxy? It only makes him more interesting.
Is it because he's so different from anyone I've ever known?
Truth be told, it's because of all these reasons, and many more that I'm too afraid to put into words. All the differences that make me smile when I see him, anticipate our next meeting, take pleasure in his beautiful voice, enjoy his subtle teasing, worry when he's in danger, and want to be physically close to him.
My fingers brushed his during the toast.
