Sarah Baker was too tired to get up today. But the constant sound of her sister Lorraine pounding on her door was driving her insane.
"What do you want Lorraine?" Sarah said groggily as she let Lorraine into her room.
Lorraine looked around her younger sisters room, looked back at her.
"Eliot is downstairs waiting for you." Lorraine said smiling at Sarah.
Sarah's eyes became very wide. They were at the lake visiting Bud, Nora, and the baby. (Tom) Sarah had been here twice before with her family.
But the second time they came she and Eliot Murtaugh had gone on a date. She had so much fun. Then he surprised her by asking, her to be his girlfriend. Surely enough she had said yes. But with Lorraine still smiling, Sarah began to freak out.
"Oh my gosh, what am I going to wear."
Aware of what she had just said, she stopped her self from saying anything else that girly sounding.
"I mean... what should I wear dude?" she corrected herself.
"Since it's only like 10:00, I suggest... um... some shorts, and a tee-shirt." Lorraine said, pulling some shorts, and a shirt out of Sarah's closet, and handing them to her.
After Sarah was dressed, she put her hair into a ponytail, and put on her favorite cap. Then she turned to Lorraine.
"How do I look Lorraine?" she asked, hoping for a good answer.
Lorraine quickly answered back, "You look like Sarah Baker." She giggled a little bit at her funny comment. Sarah looked at her and raised her eyebrows.
"Lorraine, I'm serious!" Sarah stated, giggling a little herself.
Lorraine finally stopped giggling, and replied, "I'm serious too. I'm kidding, you look fine, now go, Eliot, is waiting."
With that Sarah, hugged Lorraine, and went on down the stairs to meet Eliot. Eliot was standing by the door, waiting. Sarah saw him, and waved. Eliot waved back at her and smiled. She loved it when he smiled. She thought he had one of the best smiles anyone could ever have.
"Hey Sarah, you look cool." Eliot commented.
Sarah smiled brightly, and replied, "Thanks, so do you."
"So, do you wanna go for a walk or something?" he asked, taking her free hand into his own.
Sarah looked at him, and nodded. " Hold on let me ask my dad first." she answered back. She hurried off to find her dad. When she came back, she had a big smile on her face.
"He said yeah." she stated watching Eliot take her hand once again.
"Cool, let's go then." he replied, leading her out of the house.
Sarah looked back at Lorraine, smiled, and mouthed the words "Thanks Lorraine."
Lorraine looked out at her and mouthed, "No problem Sarah"
With that, Sarah, and Eliot left the house, and went on their walk around the lake.
