Chapter 22: Live a lie? Or follow my heart?
"It's just me and the guys." Yugi says towards Anzu who is his girlfriend for the past year, the two got together closely after Atem became friends with them and rejected Anzu by telling her he was gay, the girl went to swoon Yugi and the youngest member of the group fell for it since she was his very first crush to begin with and was happy after she first rejected him, she now wanted him.
After half a year of dating, Yugi gave in into the girl pleas (threads), and they had sex together. And although she enjoyed it very much, Yugi felt like dirt and wanted to take a scalding hot shower to clean himself of the dirty deed he had done with her.
The longer the two were dating, the more Yugi noticed Atem taking distance from him, and not only Atem, also the other guys, it didn't make it easy since his new best friend stayed at uni campus since he was happy to be finally out of his parents wrath, and it hurt… allot… also because he slept at home to safe on costs and send him in depth.
"But if it's just the guys, then why am I not invited!" the woman scolds the younger "I also am part of the group you know?"
"They told me it was boys only Anzu, it probably will be all night playing goory and bloody fighting games till we drop death from exhaustion. Why don't you call Mai or Serenity to hang with tonight?" The younger said while picking up his duffle and preparing to walk out.
"But what if it isn't? knowing Honda and Joey it will be mostly watching porn!"
"Seeing it's Ryou's we stay at, I highly doubt it, and If it's a movie night involving porn, I promise I pack my bag and leave." The young man reassures her hoping she allowed him to walk off. "I'll be home tomorrow probably around noon depending on how long we sleep in." He says before waving and walking off glad the woman now lets him go without any more words left.
Seeing her boyfriend walk off Anzu comes to a realisation… Yugi didn't kiss her goodbye….he always kisses her goodbye…something is bugging her boyfriend, maybe a night out with the boys will do him good.
While walking towards Ryou's apartment he takes his time to rethink his relationship with Anzu, and although he wanted to take it slow since she is his first… she practically is forcing him into a rushed kinda thing, and he does not like that, he feels it needs to happen when both parties are ready to do as such and when the other is not ready, they need to be patient. Thank gods he uses condoms when having sex and keep them on his person to prevent her from breaking them, he hates the idea of being a father already while he still is in university.
But he also knows that there are things that needs to change… drastically. The girl already forced him into bed with her and he still feels guilty about it… " If you don't do this, then we're through!" he remembers her saying that night making him agree with her wishes.
Many nights like these followed and each time she went home, he ran to the shower and although the scalding hot water hurt him badly, he kept doing it while he scrubbed and scrubbed himself until he started to bleed. It made his grandfather worry thinking he had a serious allergic reaction to something, and even took the boy to the hospital in order to find out if he was having an allergic reaction to something unknown only to find nothing.
There was no explanation to why Yugi got this rash all off the sudden. Only that he got it half a year after he started dating Anzu. The only one who does know it is himself and he does not wish to speak about it.
The last couple of weeks, their relationship got a complete strain… Yugi was having trouble keeping it up when they were starting to have sex together. and Anzu blamed him for it that he did not take care of himself properly.
She nearly forced him to move in with her and her parents so she could see if he did eat the right things. Luckily for him, grandpa decided to throw his back out and needed almost 24/7-hour care. Yugi was happy he could stay home for until at least his grandfather was healed properly. And thank gods his grandfather pretended to be hurt longer than normally only to spite the girl.
Sadly, because of that, Anzu decided to move in with them. Making the poor old man listen to Anzu scolding his grandson each night when he could not keep him manhood stiff before entering her. She forced him to stop university so she could keep a close eye on his eating habit. Luckily his grandfather stepped in there and told her he was paying allot of money to give Yugi a proper future and only to throw it away because she wants to have him in bed, not happening!
So, when Ryou called him a few hours ago, and his grandfather told him to go, he was happy to leave the house for a bit without her being around.
"Yug, you alright bud?" Joey's voice reaches his eardrums and bewilder he comes out of his musings. He entered the house an hour ago and while happily greeting his male friends, he kept thinking about what to do about Anzu and the relationship they were having together and feeling disgusting again.
That also starts to become a habit of him as soon as he even thinks about having sex with Anzu. No matter the time or where he is. "Um… I… Ryou, can I use your shower for a moment?" he asks and when the white-haired male nods he jumps up, grabs his duffle, and runs to the bathroom. Slamming the door shut he heats up the shower and starts to strip himself from his clothes. While the other guys are looking confused.
"What was that about?" Atem asks looking to the door his crush just slammed close and a clear tone of worry in his voice.
"I think there is something going on with him. His grandfather also seemed worried this afternoon when I called." Ryou says.
"He probably has some problems with his little guy. Nothing to worry about." Joey snickers
"Can't you guys see? Yugi is struggling with his relationship with Anzu." Honda says. "Ever since Atem rejected her and she went to him, I see something in Yugi that clearly isn't him. He called me a few months ago, telling me he had sex with Anzu and didn't enjoy it in the slightest."
"Wait? He called you and told the sex was horrible?" Joey asks.
"Yeah, I was confused since he and I aren't that close as you guys are, but he said he needed a straight man to talk about this, someone who can relate to a male/female relationship. And since I'm the only one dating girls over here, which I still find weird to think how to have same sex relationships. Anyway we talked for a while and since then I have a feeling, he isn't happy in this relationship. It even makes me think if that rash he developed is part of a reason because of the stress."
"Yeah, I noticed also he lately isn't as comfortable around her as before, I also noticed he is taking his distance from us." Atem says looking worried towards the bathroom-door and seeing the steam seeping out from under the door. "How hot can a man shower?" he asks softly. And then realises… Yugi told him once he never liked taking a hot shower, only when he felt disgusted and had trouble scrubbing the grime of him, he started to take them this hot after he got into that relationship.
Rethinking Honda's words just now something starts to klick and not thinking long, stand from his seat on the sofa and walks to the bathroom. Till his luck he sees Yugi did not lock the door, he opens it and slips inside only to find Yugi sitting in the shower under the hot stream scrubbing his arms roughly making new wounds and reopening the old wounds.
He runs over and shuts the shower down, then he pulls the younger roughly up and slaps him in the face. " Yugioh Hikari Muto! What the hell are you doing to yourself!" Atem yells making the younger flinch. He looks to his older friend and then he starts to sob uncontrollable clutching himself close against Atem and allowing the tears to run dry in the elder's shirt.
The guys who hear Atem yell out Yugi's full name know the younger is in trouble and ran over towards the bathroom. There they see the younger sobbing in Atem's arms clutching him as if afraid he will lose his best friend over a stupid fight.
Ryou who sees the boy does not have a towel around himself, grabs one and walks over towards Yugi, draping one over the youngest waist to keep the pride hidden and then one over his shoulders. He sees the boy bleeding. Pointing towards a cabinet he gently takes Yugi and drags him out towards his bedroom where he and Atem placing him on the bed.
Ryou sets to drying while Atem tries to comfort the younger, and slowly manages to calm him. Then Joey walks inside with a first aid kit and hands it to Ryou who starts to treat the scrub-wounds Yugi inflicted to himself.
Realising Atem might be a bit too harsh on the boy, decides to take it to a more gentle way. "What is happening to you Little one?" he asks gentle making Ryou and Joey smile. They both know Yugi is his crush, and that the man was devastated when he picked Anzu instead of him, but they also understands the youngers own confusion and told the older to let him figure it out himself.
"I don't know…" the boy whispers softly. Ryou who is finished taking care of Yugi's wounds packs up the first aid kit.
"I think it's best if the two of you talk together." he says while taking Joey's arm walking out of the bedroom and closing the door behind him.
Atem looking grateful for the privacy given to them, makes sure the younger looks towards him. "Why are you lying to us?" he asks, "why are you lying to yourself?" he says and sees the confused look on the youngers face. "You are pushing us away, you keep having a relationship you clearly aren't comfortable in and hurting yourself," he says pointing to the youngers scratched body. "Why are you keeping this up?"
"Because I don't want to hurt her." The boy only whispers.
"But you are hurting us because of your pushing us away. You are hurting yourself not only physical but also mentally."
"I don't…"
"Yugi answers me this… are you happy right now?"
"I… I don't… I don't know."
"Well, I know the answer…" Atem says and brings his head close to the younger boy making him shiver as soon as he feels the hot minty with slight alcohol smell hit him until the younger feels the lips of his dark pressed against his.
Eyes growing wide at first and tensing up, the younger eventually enjoys it, closes his eyes and kisses the elder back feeling his member growing and throbbing in anticipation. The elder however pulls back and looks the younger over. "Think about it Little One, you don't know the answer, but your heart does know." He whispers before standing from the bed and walking out of the room leaving Yugi behind.
The younger stands from the bed, taking a fresh boxer out his duffle and then noticing the mirror he walks over. He is shocked by what he sees. He always was small and somewhat on the skinny side, but not that skinny you could clearly see the ribs poking out, his cheeks look hollow, and his eyes are dull. Hating himself suddenly, he smashed the mirror looking shocked towards his bleeding fist until the door burst open.
The four older men stumble inside and see what Yugi just did, they are shocked he managed to break the mirror since he never was a real strong man, that must have been a huge strain on his muscles he used to manage that.
Seeing the blood dripping from his hand, Ryou took charge right away, taking one of the towels and wrapping it around Yugi's fist, ordering Atem to help him further in his clothes. "Call Anzu, she probably-"
"No! don't call her!" the boy interrupted Ryou with urge in his voice. "If she hears I needed to go to the hospital, she will take me home with her and she smothers me to death, maybe even force me to never meet with you guys without her. She was making a fuss over it when I came without her." The boy pleads making the older white-haired boy look at him before realising that indeed if they allow this now, they probably won't get a change to have Yugi alone.
With a nod he guides the younger towards the car and with Atem the three drive off leaving Joey and Honda behind for the time being to clean up the mess Yugi made.
Yugi enters the examination room alone and allows the doctor to stitch him up, he is given antibiotics and allowed to go back home…. Only the boy has other plans, he looks around and makes sure nobody is around, and when outside of the hospital, he takes off into the night.
Three hours later:
Yugi made the group 'Only boys'
Yugi added Grandpa, Joey, Honda, Ryou, Atem.
Atem's status is changed into captain of the group.
Yugi: Don't look for me, I need to think things through alone… sorry. The boy had sent in the group towards his friends and grandfather.
Grandpa: Take care son, I'll manage.
Joey: I otha kill you for that stunt you pulled giving us a heart attack!
Atem: Take care, call us if you need us.
Ryou: Be careful. And think hard.
Honda: Come back safe buddy.
Yugi left the group 'Only boys'… tears streaming down his cheeks, he knows this is for now the best course of action.
All looking up from their phone they look at each other, after they found out Yugi had left the hospital by sneaking out, they went to search him, and when they could not find him, they decided to go to grandpa, happy Anzu wasn't there at the moment when Yugi had made the groups app and told what he needed to do.
"Do we need to inform Anzu on this?" Ryou asks grandpa and his friends.
"No, that relationship isn't a stable one, and Yugi needs to figure it out himself. give him time." grandpa says sternly towards the men in the elders living room. "Besides if he wanted to tell Anzu, he would have involved her, but seeing she is not added in the group, he needs to tell her himself on his own way. I only can hope he keeps up his studies somehow." He reasons making it look clearly. "Yugi is allot like me back in the days, when I had two girls fighting over me, I also took a step back in order to figure out if I wanted to be with the first or the second girl."
"What did you decide eventually?" Atem asks curiously.
"Neither, during my quest I found Yugi's grandma and I made her mine." The old man chuckles making Atem roll his eyes. "What? You asked. It was an honest answer."
The old man stands and walks towards the window looking outside he sees it's pouring. "The only one who can make the right decision is him and who he will pick, his heart already knows the answer, but what is making this hard on him is…. He needs to hurt one to please the other no matter what." He says softly remembering it also was pouring that day many years ago he decided to think things over without people constantly hogging and demanding his attention. "Yugi will be fine, and as soon as he is willing to be found, he will show himself."
Yugi-poo: I need some time to think about our future. Alone. Take care Anzu. Was the message Anzu did read that morning. Anzu was delight and took the message seriously enough thinking her boyfriend has decided to think about the best way for a marriage proposal. "Mom Dad. He is going to propose!"
"When?" her father asks.
"I don't know, he told me he needed to think about our future, I knew he wanted to become my husband eventually, but never guessed it to be this soon." The girl swoons.
"Well, then why not start planning, and give him ideas with what to do?" her mother says and the three start to plan the wedding before they truly know what is going to happen.
But in a motel the boy who meant to think were his feelings where, did not think about a marriage proposal, no, he was seriously thinking to whom his heart belonged to. Because believe it or not, his dark had seriously confused him with his own sexuality, and he already was confused before.
Getting bothered by the constant text messages Anzu's parents and Anzu herself were sending him, and his phone who was almost due for a new one, he decided to shut this on off, and take a new phone with a completely new number.
After a month he send a text towards his dark.
Xxx-xxx-5362 Hey Yami, I have a new number, I need to talk with you, can you come over to domino motel? I'm in Room 36. Come alone… greets Heba.
Atem: Oh… okay I understand, I'm at uni but will see you in an hour.
Heba: cool thanks.
Coming at the motel Atem takes a deep breath, it didn't take him long to figure who Heba was, but he was confused to why. Walking over to the desk. "Hello, I have an appointment with mister Heba, in room… 36?" he asks the lady at the desk.
"Can I have your name please?" She asks while taking the horn from the phone to confirm the young man in front of him is truly wanted.
"Yami." he says using his first ever nickname the boy has given to him. And the lady makes the call.
"Mister Heba confirmed a Yami would be arriving. Take the elevator to the third floor, 6th door to the left." She says before turning back to her laptop doing whatever she did before he had the guts to bother her. Atem doing as he said knocks only ten minutes later the door he needed to be.
Many locks click making Atem believe the other went crazy, but then the door opens and there stands the boy he missed for the past month. The younger looks around before he grabs Atem and pulls him inside forcefully. Stumbling inside he manages to find his balance and turning on his heel only to see the younger locking the door firmly with his key and the chains hanging there.
Then the younger turns. "Did someone follow you?" he asks keeping his back against the door.
"Nobody followed me, nobody but me saw your text, but why so secretive?" he asks and walks over to the younger.
"I made up my mind, but I need your help, and that of the guys." The younger says hastily.
"Yugi, why is Anzu spreading around you are planning the perfect way to propose and marry her?"
"I don't, she and her parents are the reason why I changed my number. Atem I wanna go home, but I fear she will be there." The boy says pleadingly while walking towards a dresser and taking his old phone handing it to him.
"300? For the whole month?"
"That is about what they send me each day. I leave the phone shut down most of the day because of this, only start it up to let her know I have read her messengers." The boy says sadly.
Intrigued the elder gets curious. "May I?" he asks hoping the boy understands what he wants and when he sees the boy nod, he opens the phone ad reads the text messengers. He is shocked by the wedding dresses already coming by, Anzu already is picking out venues she wants to marry at, and how big the parents practically demand for the stone on the ring to be. Even sending him pictures of the rings they have seen and deem worthy for their daughter.
"I ignore them, they called at the beginning, but I refused to pick up. When they realised, I didn't pick up they started sending me these. and I'm not at full term with this phone to already stop the number. As soon as I'm full term, this number will be blocked. But to prevent them from finding me right away, I decided to take a completely new receipt next to this one."
"Yugi… what do you want?" the elder asks and is pulled down on the bed by the younger.
"I don't know how to tell you; do you allow me to show you?" Yugi asks and when Atem realises what the boy is asking of him, he nods.
After a few hours the two lay in each other arms and Atem is running his finger through Yugi's locks. "You gained weight again, you are more at health than you were a month ago." The elder says while he feels the youngers waist.
The younger chuckled. "There was this lady who made sure I was fed and took a shower. We bumped into each other only a day after I ran away from the hospital. We talked allot and gave me much to think about each night. She left a few days ago."
"And do you feel the need to take scalding hot showers now?"
"No." the boy says cuddling himself closer into his dark's arms nuzzling him and taking in the scent of sweat and sex.
"Yugi, let's go home." The older boy says and gently pulls the younger into a sitting motion. The younger nods they both dress and pack Yugi's few belongings. he follows Atem outside. Singing himself out and then he follows Atem to the car.
"I'm gonna do it tomorrow." The boy says when they are seated in the car and Atem drives off. Nodding his head in confirmation.
"I'm here for you." He only says while placing his hand on the youngers knee. "But Only boys, as you called us, need to know up front. Here, take this and add your new number." Atem adds while handing Yugi his own phone.
Atem added Heba to 'Only Boys'
Atem: is Anzu around any one of you right now? Yugi asks under Atem's name, and he sees everybody typing right away, a few pings at almost the same time arrive making Yugi laugh "Grandpa got better with typing."
"Yeah, he's a quick learner. A necessary if he wants to keep up with Joey and Honda mess around." Atem smirks. "This became our permanent joke app and grandpa clearly enjoys it."
Joey: Not around me, didn't see her much since Yug left, why so secretive? Who is Heba?
Honda: Who is Heba? And not here.
Ryou: Not here, she mentioned shopping with her parents again. Welcome back Heba.
Atem: I promise all will be explained in due time.
Grandpa: Atem, I want you to pick me up and we will meet at…
Ryou: My place in an hour. Best way to prevent her from coming over.
All guys send a thumbs up before going offline. When Yugi did read the messages, he was happy to know Ryou and Grandpa understood who Heba is, just like Atem did understand right from the start.
Atem stopped at Ryou's first dropping off Yugi before driving off towards the game-shop and fetch grandpa. Only to arrive 30 minutes before Joey and Honda will arrive at Ryou's again. The reunion with grandfather and grandson was a loving one, many nights he wondered how his grandson was managing, if he took care of himself. so, when he saw his boy sitting on that couch, healthy, no rash littering his arms, and happy… he was happy.
"I'm happy you gave me a break from her son. I didn't see her much after you disappeared." The old man says and prepares himself to catch the boy he took care off ever since he was a little boy.
"I'm sorry for worrying you. Did you manage without me?" The boy chocked out.
"I wasn't, remember when I told you how I met your grandmother?" he asks and feels the boy nodding against his cheek. "I had one of the guys taking up your shifts. I managed just fine."
The other two showed up and that reunion was a bit different, but all the way also a happy one.
Next day, he meets Anzu in the park, she beams with obvious health and a certain glow surrounds her, Yugi blames it to the fact she suspects a marriage proposal. Rubbing his still sore cheek, he walks towards the girl and guides her to a bench where he sits next to her, he listens patiently to her rant as to why he took off just like that and all the planning her parents and she already did. And then she suddenly asks. "Are you okay? What happened with your cheek is your rash expanding?"
"I am… more than okay, I hit myself into something solid last night, nothing to worry about. Anzu, I realised something when I needed to think things through, and I came to a very important discovery about myself. It made me decide that I want to b-"
"Yes, oh Yugi a thousand times yes, I want to marry you, our child will be loved just as much as I love you!" the girl screams not allowing the boy to finish his sentence.
"Break things off…" he asks after she completed her rant.
"Break things off? You're not proposing?"
"No, Anzu I figured I do not want to marry and know I'm living a lie. Because that is what our relationship is right now, a lie." the boy says calmly.
"But the baby?"
"What baby?" the boy asks shocked.
"I just figured out this morning. We are going to be parents. Must be since the last time we did it together." she says thinking it as if the kid is obvious about it like he is with most male things.
But Yugi isn't as obvious as he sometimes shows himself to be. No, he is way smarter than that. He calculated back and concluded something that obvious will bring her down. "Anzu, last time we truly did it was over four months ago, and I could not impregnate you because I used a condom, also mothers four months pregnant are showing, you're not showing, you cheated on me, so it gives me all the more reason to break up with you!" the boy says and stands preparing to walk away.
"You can't leave me with your spawn!"
"I can, and I will since that will not be mine spawn, if you wish I agree to a paternal testing as soon as the kid is born, if proven the child is mine, only then I will support you." The boy says and walks away.
Walking towards the game-shop the boy sends a shaky text towards Atem. And while arriving home, Atem is there to catch him. the elder takes the boy to his room, calms him down and makes sure the boy is comfortable when Yugi's grandfather suddenly calls him down.
Leaving Atem behind he goes to see why his grandfather called him, and he sees Anzu's parents in the shop the girl teary eyed behind them. Before he gets a chance to even say something, Anzu's father stands in front of him with a threatening finger ready. "You impregnated her! You take care of the costs beforehand!" he whispers angerly.
"I already told her beforehand, prove the child is mine, and I will take the responsibility for it, but I will not marry her since my heart does not belong to her. it did long time ago, but not anymore, and I refuse to live a lie." The boy states. Feeling a hot sting to his already hurt cheek. The loud slap made the few costumers in the shop look towards the man towering over the boy.
The man has his arm raised ready to strike again, and the boy protects his face with his arms. The costumers' all great fans off Yugi, see their king is in danger and need to protect him from the crazy man, but before they get the chance, the old shop keeper jumps in front of his grandson. "You have no right to hit my son like that, he told you he will take responsibility as soon as is proven the kid is his, until then you can leave my shop and I assure you, you and your family are not welcome inside!"
Anzu's mother only says this. "You will pay for this child since you took my daughters purity." Before dragging her husband and daughter out of the shop.
"Go upstairs and putt something on your cheek, as soon as the shop is empty, I come up and we talk!" the old man states sending Yugi upstairs.
Only ten minutes later the old man appears, seeing Atem and Yugi both in the kitchen, Atem fussing over Yugi having the phone is his hand calling with someone and making sure the boy keeps the cold pack against his cheek. "I understand Joey's reaction yesterday since you left off without telling them, but if it's true that spawn is yours, then you are grounded until I die!"
"Grandpa I told you yesterday already, after less than two months having sex with her, I could no longer get him up long enough to enter her and whenever we had sex, I always used a condom, it never leaked I always checked afterwards!" The boy states and thinks back towards the day before. "I think a tooth is lose."
"We can only hope it's the last wisdom tooth you have, come, they can see you in 15. We talk when we get back gramps." Atem says and while going to the dentist Yugi thinks back to the day before.
Flashback:
"Yugi!" Honda and Joey shout when they see the boy sitting in Atem's lap next to his grandfather, the two are with him in seconds and Honda already has the little guy in a headlock dragging him from Atem's lap in the process and ruffling his hair.
Tears stream from Honda's eyes while Joey has fire in his eyes, angry fire and he needs to take it down right away. He grabs Yugi by the front of his shirt and before the others can react, a loud slap followed by a loud thumb goes through the room. They see Yugi roll and stop against the wall, he lays a second in the corner shocked, but then sitting up while rubbing his cheek before looking towards his friend with a smirk on his face and a clear challenge in his eyes as if to say, one more. "I guess I deserved that." The boy merely states and takes Joey's offered hand who pulls him up.
"You darn well deserved that, you nearly killed us with that stunt of yours! But I'm glad your back buddy." He says and takes Yugi in a hug.
"I guess I need to explain some things to you all." The younger says after Joey freed him and he climbs back into Atem's lap taking the cold pack Ryou went to get in the kitchen. "I needed time to think about me, and being with Anzu, but also being with Atem." The boy says making Honda and Joey look up.
"Anzu is a wonderful girl, but ever since I got into this relationship with her… I feel like I'm lying to myself, it was actually Atem's fault what made me realise what I was doing to myself…. He kissed me, and although I was shocked, I also liked it, like it was him I want to live the rest of my life with. He unconsciously made me look at myself and when I looked in the mirror, I was shocked at who I had become over the past year while I was dating Anzu. I saw a ghost; a reflection I hope I never wish to become again."
"Then why did you hurt yourself?" Ryou asked.
"Because every time Anzu and I had slept together, or she even simply played with my … manhood… but not go to the deed, hell even thinking about doing it with her made me feel dirty. I felt violated in a way I do not wish to feel violated. That's why I took scalding hot showers and scrubbed my skin raw often till the point I was bleeding. It didn't help much, but I was terrified to use something chemical. And because I had hurt myself this much, I realised in the hospital I needed to think.
I realised I needed to be selfish. I realised I needed to be alone to gather and order my thoughts. And in that first week I met this lady, she saw me walking into the motel I was staying at, and she visited me. She managed to take of me like a mother, to get me back to health like a mother would to their child. She made sure I did eat, she made sure I took a shower, we went on walks together, and we talked for hours to no end.
Eventually she told me to meet up only with Atem, I needed to compare being with him and being with Anzu. I needed to figure out who gave me the feeling I matter and does not want to take me for granted, when she left, I knew I needed to act, but was unsure and wrote down many things with how to start, but eventually ripped each page and threw it away, I decided I would just go for it and send Atem a text."
"And seeing your face, you did more than just talking huh?" Honda says laughing when Yugi's head goes red.
"I want to break things off with Anzu, because when I stay with her, I will live a lie, a lie I do not wish to condemn myself to." The boy simply states keeping his face straight but still red all the while. "If I can't get him up now, what will that be on our wedding night? How many fights do I and even grandpa need to endure before she wants to divorce me because I can't get him up since after only 8 months being together? I hated myself for listening to her and do it on our six-month anniversary."
"But they are wedding planning since you left, how did they come to that idea?" Ryou asks
"Dunno, I told her I needed to think about us. I think she thought I was thinking about how to propose her." the boy said.
"And when you truly did manage to keep it hard long enough-"
"I told her from the moment I decided to go along with her desires. I would stop using a condom as soon as I was out of college and had a secure job." The boy interrupts the old man. "Grandpa I wish to have a career with a good education, same as her, and she agreed to do the same by using pills."
Flashback ends:
Returning back from the dentist Yugi is happy all his wisdom teeth are now out, he only had hoped this one would not be so painful. Anyway, they sat down at the table and talked. "And yet she is pregnant and blaming you for it! How Yugi, explain that to me! Did she visit you in secret while you were in that hotel?"
"No grandpa, I only had sent Atem that text yesterday, I held no contact with any of you when I closed myself away not even her. She told me she discovered it this morning, with a bit of luck she is only in her first month. That's how they can't prove of me being the father in the first place."
"And if she is longer?"
"Last time was four months ago grandpa, but I promise, if I truly am the father, then I will be there only for the child, not for her. I will not run away like my sperm donor did, it wasn't fair to mom, and it would not be fair to her… but I refuse to marry her and move in with her." the kid states.
"Just to be sure, arrange a lawyer already, and make sure that the test results are truly your DNA and not from some random stranger."
"Oh don't worry gramps, I saw those short movies on Youtube where they did that." The youngest responds.
Sure enough, Anzu was only pregnant for little over three weeks, but her parents weren't convinced and demanded that Yugi would do a paternal test when the baby was born.
That got proved when the child was born, the one doing the test was Ryou who took not only slime and hair, but also a blood sample from both Yugi and the child. And while the child had the common blood type O, Yugi has the rare AB type. And according to Ryou, if you have AB, your child has or A or B or in rare cases also AB.
It was then clear to her parents the girl indeed did cheat on the boy and were deeply ashamed of her. they did not wish to come in front of court, so Yugi didn't need the lawyer in the end according to them, but Yugi stood firm and handed them a dentist bill, he lost a tooth when he got hit, he at least wanted them to pay for the repair costs, if they didn't, he would bring them in front of court. They paid him and they didn't see her again after that.
And what the boy still was recovering from all of this, the relation between him and Atem grew stronger and stronger, and with that Yugi recovered. Yugi felt more alive than before the sex was amazing and he realised since he wasn't really into Anzu, he could not keep his manhood firm enough.
They both switch when being sexually active together, they are adventurous with trying new things and afterwards they talk about what they liked and whatnot, but they both talked in general also allot together and Yugi realised this was what he needed into a relationship.
Nobody forcing him, talking things through, and to be loved and not being scolded when something doesn't go well right away.

The doorbell rings and Yugi looks up from his work. "Did he forget his keys?" the young man wonders looking to his wrist and sees it's not time for his husband to return yet. So, he goes and sees who's at the door. Opening he sees Anzu standing there with a small child maybe little over two or three years on her hip. "Anzu, how can I help you?"
"Can I come inside please? Talks lots easier that way."
"Depends, I promised I would not invite unwanted guests, and with what you did five years ago, you are on that list." The young man says harshly.
"I do not wish to harm you or grandpa, but I need your help. Please Yugi?" the girl pleads making the younger sigh and look to the kid and then to the weather. The kid is not dressed to be outside in this pouring whether, nor is she.
Looking to his watch again he looks up again towards the woman. "Alright, but I do it for the kid, lets get him warmed up." The younger says and guides the two inside. "Atem will be home in a bit, I allow you to let him hear you out, but if you force yourself onto him or me then I will not hold him to throw you out."
"You changed."
"I got stronger over the past three years." The man says guiding the child to the living and set the tv on placing a warm blanked over the little once shoulders before guiding Anzu to the kitchen. "Tea?"
"Yes please."
"And for him?"
"He likes hot chocolate."
Yugi nods and sets to fix the beverages for the three of them, not allowing Anzu to help him. Anzu looks around and sees a shrine that wasn't there when she still visited, walking over she sees a picture of grandpa inside. What amuses her is that the shrine has both Egyptian as Japanese adding's to it. "He died a year ago, fell asleep and didn't wake up anymore. According to the morgue he died without pain." Yugi says when entering the room with a mug of warm beverage. He places it on the table with a small bowl of soft candy for the child to nibble on.
The two adults walk back to the kitchen and seat themselves at the kitchen table. "I'm sorry for your lost, how are you coping?"
"I'm doing good, the morgue rapport gave me a calm peace of mind, and I had allot of help coming from Atem." The younger says showing his hand a bit to obvious for the girl not to notice.
"Aren't you a bit old for friendship rings?" she asks clearly obvious.
"Aren't you a bit to observant to be obvious?" a voice says behind her, making her jump and turn around seeing Atem standing at the doorpost with a smirk on his face. Then he pushes away from it and walks over towards the younger and closing his arms around him. "Hello, how is my darling husband doing?" he says and in between words a kiss is followed.
"I'm fine. You want a drink? The kettle is still warm." Yugi says between giggles, he knows this is a clear distraction to keep Anzu's ogle eyes from him.
The elder goes fixing himself a tea and then joins the two at the table. "Now, why did you disturb my lovely husband from his work?" he asks and looks towards the woman.
"I was hoping you could help me." She starts. "His father does not acknowledge him as his own and I cannot keep up with rent and keeping the two of us alive. I hoped you could adopt him as your son, and help me raise him?"
"Anzu, Both Atem and I have very demanding jobs, a child would not fit in this lifestyle, I needed to stop the game-shop because the pressure of managing that also was to much for me. And why do you think I want to raise the child you wanted to push onto me when you clearly knew you cheated on me."
"But we were doing so well when we were together."
"No Anzu, our relationship wasn't healthy the moment we started dating, and you know it!"
"You got that rash because you didn't eat healthy!"
"That's enough!" Atem says sternly to stop the argument from going out of hand. "You both made mistakes when you were dating, Yugi admits that-"
"I never made a mistake! You are making that up!"
"No, we both did, you forced me into having sex with you while I wasn't ready for it, and I was foolish enough not to fight you harder on that matter, I took scalding hot showers only not to feel like dirt. You almost forced me out of university, and if it weren't for grandpa stopping me, I probably did. You forced me into a relationship, and I was stupid enough to risk a great friendship." Yugi says silently. "And right now, I want you to take your child and go, go and never return." The young man says ending the conversation.
"But."
"Anzu, you heard him. go, my husband does not wish to see you any longer and nor do I. you have done enough damage to last him a lifetime." Atem says pointing to the door as to say she needs to go and never come back.
"Your married?"
"Best decision I made was breaking things off and entering a relationship with him, we married not long after that and still are happy together." Yugi says guiding the child to his mother and then towards the door. They never saw her again and they were happy to it.
