The Creatures of Grimm Origin

Long ago, a fragment of a Great Evil had survived between the battle of the Gods. Where this piece would lay dormant and slowly but surely make its way to a world called earth. Where once it impacted and went on to create a great evil, and eventually create the Creatures of Grimm...But that is this world's story.

In another, a primordial being known as the God of Darkness created the Grimm himself.

Long before the Great Evil in Dimension GF-07 impacted earth and gave birth to Grimm, in another dimension the being called the God of Darkness first created them. Making them in order to counteract his brother's own creations, the God of Light. The Grimm he made was spread across the world that will one day be called Remnant, and battled the creations of life. It was only after a deal and peace offering with his brother did the God of Darkness stop using his Grimm to attack their targets, which were originally animals and plants.

Humans were soon made, and while not as hostile as before, the God of Darkness had his Grimm attack humans to see them rise to the challenge. And while he had given humans a small but potent fragment of his powers, magic, to ensure his Grimm weren't killed off so easily he gave some of them unique abilities of their own. While also allowing them the power to 'evolve' overtime, with the capability to learn.

The Grimm of Remnant can be considered similar but different to the Grimm of Dimension GF-07. As while both dimensions Grimm were created by primordial beings, their origins of creation alongside dimensional laws make them fundamentally different in certain aspects. Though not enough as the Fallen and Salem can control both sides without any difficulty, aside from sensing a vague 'difference' between them.

"So...this is what happened here. Huh." A high ranking soldier clenched his teeth, as he saw the scene before him. Both Huntsmen and Huntresses, alongside some soldiers he knew. Or what was left of them anyway.

A few of his personal either cringing with those with weaker stomachs throwing up. He couldn't blame them. Because if it weren't for the fact of the clothes and wallets with ID, it would have been hard to identify the corpses here. Especially since they were in such a...messy state. Not that he and his men were near the bodies, since at the moment they were quite a bit away. After all, there are a bunch of Grimm surrounding what was an unknown purple portal.

A portal where Grimm were coming out of in fact.

'No wonder they died. No doubt they were caught off guard and attacked before they knew it.' Granted, this was a guess, but a good guess. To enforce it he needed what one of his men spotted a recorder down there. Obviously they couldn't do that since there are Grimm there, and quite a bit of them. He already sent a report back to base, as this is clearly a national crisis. A portal with Grimm coming out. Heavens knew just how bad that is. If they allowed this to continue, then Japan would have more Grimm to worry about in due time.

Something he wasn't going to allow.

"Jason." The higher soldier then called one of his men. "Can you do it?"

The soldier called Jason looked at the pile of corpses, then at the recorder. "Yeah. Yeah I can."

While not everybody had one, Jason here had his aura awakened alongside a semblance. Nothing fancy really. Just allowed him to, as he called it, teleport certain objects to him. Of course they needed to be small, and in his line of sight alongside a set distance. A useful power in certain times of need, with now being one of them. Jason raises his hand with his aura flashing just a bit.

Then, the recorder is in his hands. The Grimm unaware of it all.

"Thank you soldier." The higher soldier grabbed the recorder while giving his gratitude. "Thanks to you, at least our brother in arms and even those Huntsmen sacrifice won't have been in vain."

"Of course sir." The man saluted and then left, leaving him behind. The man himself then sighs as he looks at the recorder. A week. An entire week to discover these people had been killed. Killed with nobody to even help them, let aside know the trouble they were in. He swore if they had the time and power, he'll get those bodies for a funeral. For now though, he needed to see just what it is this device recorded.

Of course he couldn't do it instantly, seeing as it ran out of power. So after one hour of excruciating waiting, he charged it and then went into his tent to see what had been recorded. Seeing the scientist set it up being excited, and some bickering between his fellow soldiers and the Huntsmen. Then came these...teenagers. A young girl and boy, who looked confused, if not scared. Suddenly as he expected, the Grimm came next. Attacking everybody in sight with no mercy.

"What the…" Then it took a while, but the man then realized those teenagers, those two kids...they weren't being attacked at all. These Grimm, they also acted odd. The recorder showed him that they were attacking with strategy and not brute force. The soldiers and even the Huntsmen being picked off one by one which Grimm shouldn't even be capable of doing.

However, what really made him flinch and outright terrified was one thing.

"No." One word. There was more after, but those were the first words that came out of a Grimm he didn't recognize at all. One that actually spoke and showed intelligence like no other. One that grabbed the lead Huntsmen sent here, and then transformed upom his eyes in the feed and ripped the Huntsmen's jaw off and then took out his heart. Then it left after grabbing those two kids and actually grew damn wings and flew off with them.

"What the hell…" He knew there were some Grimm out there in the world he's never seen. Knew some Grimm, if old enough, could indeed plan against humans and faunus. With some Grimm being just powerful enough to kill off even the best of soldiers and Huntsmen. But this...this thing...it not only planned like a person, but spoke like one to.

Grimm were many things, talkers weren't one of them.

Nowhere in history has there ever been a recording of a talking Grimm. Scientists have also studied that with the exception of ancient legendary Grimm, the Grimm were unable to truly plan at all, and at best just figured out better ways to kill people with self-preservation developing in them. This Grimm however, this...Hound...it rescued those kids instead of killing them as all Grimm should. It commanded the Grimm like it was a person, taking down the team like nothing. It knew what it was doing. Even worse, it broke all known information on every Grimm people knew.

Instantly the man went to grab his phone and went to make a call.

People had to know about this Grimm. Because even though it wasn't the biggest, the strongest, or even a legendary Grimm, something in him told him it's a genuine threat to the people. People he swore to defend.

Morning came, and the great forestry outside of GrimmFall was doing okay. The animals went about their own business, the local towns or villages went on during their day. If anything, things could be considered fine.

"Alright boys, let's get moving." To fine if one had anything to say about it. As despite the fact this location had Grimm, none could be found despite the fact a mass group of fifty plus bandits were moving along the great green. Something even the bandits themselves found odd, but moved as Bandit Princess assured them that they were moving at a time Grimm wasn't around.

Or if a keen person would call it, a load of bull.

'Man. Having a master of Grimm sure is handy.' While their meeting had been rather...rough, alongside limb losing, Bandit Princess felt so long as she didn't cross the line, and did her job, then banditry would be real fine. Heck, even better, it wasn't like that Salem person was asking her for impossible things. If anything, the current relationship she has with Salem and her group could be considered adequate at the moment. Not enough to be chummy, but not enough where she would be killed by them.

If anything, it seems those people actually needed some of her knowledge. Which showed that so long as she proved her worth, she'll not only be alive, but her days of stealing got a whole lot easier. After all, with a master of Grimm alongside four other powerful allies, she couldn't imagine any of the villages and towns capable of standing up to them.

With Cinder, Hazel, Watts, and Tyrian with her at the front right now. Where she already told her bandit family that they were the new tribe members, and were her enforcers. A little thing Salem told her to do. With the three humans and faunus doing as she said, as long as she didn't act like she was their actual boss. Still, Bandit Princess felt it was nice to be in charge, even if for a while.

Meanwhile, to not gather attention, Salem herself is numerous trees away walking alongside the group. Having no real trouble keeping up with them, and instead walked alongside some Grimm in case there was anybody nearby. The witch herself simply patted the Beowolf near her while also studying it.

While she has sensed many Grimm here, Salem couldn't help but feel that they were in some way, different. She wasn't sure why though, as she could command them with ease and they certainly gave off the same feeling she felt when like the Grimm on earth. Yet even then, a part of her mind just told her there was something off about them.

'Perhaps because this is another world.' Salem concluded as she continued walking. Then wondering if a God of Darkness gave birth to them like her world's version. She then decided not to think of it, as just recalling that loathsome being made her rather upset. Always reminded her of her past.

Regardless, Salem decided to instead focus on the task at hand. Getting to these Wilds and creating a base there. Already the bandits brought as much food and supplies they needed to create it. Also Salem had decided to attack one village later for additional resources, but no more than that. Too much destruction and even regular people will realize something is amiss. Just one however will just lead the normal folk to think it was another tragedy of the Grimm. One of the common things this world has with her own.

'And yet, Cinder and Hazel were spied on.' Salem and her group haven't made any notable movements. Thinking it over only proved it further, as they left no witnesses or reasons to even be detected. After Cinder and Hazel arrived, she had them report to her what they did. While Hazel admitted to stealing from a charity, the man Cinder interrogated stated to her that they were watching them even before then. 'So either those men were really just watching them in coincidence, or something else is up.'

Salem then looked at the Grimm near her again. The Ursa and Beowolves didn't do much. Yet she also didn't sense that foreign presence she felt before, back in the town. Is it possible that the strange feeling she got is connected to that?

'Which should be impossible. Seeing as only the God of Darkness could control them.' Her eyes then glowed, as realization came to her. The God of Darkness in Remnant made the Grimm and could control them. Here, research said the Grimm arrived into this world from this meteorite and began wandering the world. Or if she was guessing correctly, something or someone made the Grimm and had them wander this world. Meaning there must be someone that created them like the God of Darkness.

The equivalent counterpart in this world.

'Now it makes sense.' Assuming this world's creator of the Grimm didn't just vanish, it may as well be a possibility that there was a ruler of Grimm here just like her. Either a God, or while very unlikely, someone like her. Which may as well be near impossible as she only turned out this way after falling into the Pool of Darkness and resulting in her mutating into this current form. The chances of that happening here were much much lower. Still, it was food for thought she could say.

Perhaps she should think of something else now, since figuring out those spies were getting nowhere since she had no hints of their employers. Though there wasn't too much to think on. Not even plans to get home, as that all relied on the doctor recreating his portal machine. While he was already putting the effort, Salem knew it won't be easy. Since she knew there was one part the doctor didn't have.

The ring.

'Something I found on a whim, with no idea of its creation or even origin.' The chances of finding something like that to get her and her followers back home may as well be impossible. Though not as much since online research actually showed this world has created portals already. Meaning there just might be potential in this world somewhere having a way to travel between dimensions. At least she hopes so. Because Salem would rather not be trapped in this world and learn everything from scratch. That would be rather annoying in her eyes.

"On the bright side," Salem said out loud, to nobody in particular. "At least this place seems to be a bit more interesting." She then called upon a Seer and began using her clairvoyance through it. Revealing the very village that was just in their path for destruction. About oh, three hours away. Such a shame the bandits alongside her own followers needed breaks and food alongside needing the restroom instead of moving forward constantly. At least she had this tablet to keep herself busy. Quite a bit to learn here after all.

More specifically, videos on the heroes and Huntsmen Bandit Princess told her to watch out for. With a link to the videos that showed explanations of their powers, and of course, weaknesses.

"So this is what Sebben meant. This definitely isn't good." It had been a few days since Living Bullet went to do what Sebben asked him to. Investigate this new but outright mysterious threat he saw. One that wasn't easy to find at all. Didn't help that he needed to be with the team to deal with Van Kleiss, making searching for these guys tough as he's on a timetable.

He already tried searching through the city, and that was a bust. His best clue had been finding the guy who robbed the park's charity, and his leads found nothing. Eventually Living Bullet decided to test his luck outside the city, as that's where the leader just might be. Granted, it wasn't any easier as it was searching in the city. Plus Living Bullet had to watch out for not just Grimm, but also roots that burst from the ground. If he went to fast then he'd just trip over one of them or just slam into a tree.

'Reminds me when I first started getting used to these powers.' Old embarrassing memories came up with Living Bullet remembering the old pain he felt. Like that time he thought it was a great idea to run into a jungle that one time, and hit a massive tree so hard that he actually cracked all his ribs. Plus when that monkey came and attacked him while he was down.

Thus why he's going at a slower speed here outside of GrimmFall. Still capable of moving around at a rate that can allow him to find clues, yet still slow so he can process what he's seeing and not trip over or hit any obstacles in the way. Which is why while it took time, Living Bullet eventually found his first clue.

An entire town destroyed.

Quickly he entered in hopes of finding anybody alive. Yet even then a part of him already knew the dark truth of what he'd find. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Just dead bodies that had been left to slowly rot, with not a single person in this town even alive. The bunkers themselves being turned into some kind of proxy place, indicating people had been here. Along with many Grimm he personally killed. Living Bullet having anger in his eyes. Using his skill, he then noticed how many things were many things missing in the stores, mainly food.

'I see. Bandits.' One forgets sometimes that it wasn't just Grimm that were a threat. Instead, man was its own worst enemy. Which is why Living Bullet, despite being personally told by Sebben there is a 'Golden Ending' for this world, made him think that even then crime will never go away. Just the way the world was and is.

'Maybe I can investigate this. Just for a bit.' Living Bullet thought as he then looked for clues. While Sebben told him to find this mystery group, he was certain the mayor of GrimmFall wouldn't mind this detour. To bring these bandits in for justice for what they did here. Already he can see what happened. Bandits attacking, somehow slipping past defenses and cutting off communications, then once they were done, left, leaving only the Grimm behind.

'And yet,' Living Bullet soon found himself in the control room for communications. 'How did they even stop communications? Or even open the gate?' Bandits were mean and tough, but even they weren't hackers. Unless maybe they got a new ally. Best to assume they did. Just because bandits weren't the toughest around, didn't mean they weren't resourceful. For all he knew, they just planned really well.

'And for all I know, they're about to attack some place else.' Not on his watch. It was then Living Bullet knew he had to act fast. Before some other place ended up like this. Sebben told him once that due to circumstances it was tough for GrimmFall to help the people outside the city, where a few places even refused GrimmFall's aid. Well he's helping them whether they like it or not.

He then ran off as fast as he could. Where he then checked every location on his touch screen phone with a Seeker, and used a map for the more out-of-place locations not on screen. While it took time, it's time he's willing to spend if it meant ensuring each place is safe and sound. Not encountering too many problems, and just kept on going while taking small breaks here and there.

Eventually after around three hours, Living Bullet then saw it.

A medium size village being raided by bandits. People screaming and the men and women attacking grinning. Where he also saw none other than the infamous Bandit Princess leading them.

'Tch. So it's her.' One of the most deadly bandits out here. A woman who is known to be a threat to even graduating Huntsmen. The grown mobian has been reported to killing even Rank 4 Huntsmen and Huntresses through skill, cunning, and dirty tricks. It's no wonder the town Wildpath fell to her.

'And now she's here on my sight.' He could capture her, stop her ragtag group, and both avenge all the people Bandit Princess has killed and stopping any future attacks from her. Plus, considering her crimes, she's definitely going on the death penalty. With a stern glare, Living Bullet then ran down towards her.

He didn't stop at all. He just kept going, not letting anything get in his way. Bandits that came in his way were punched unconscious. As for Bandit Princess herself, she lived up to her name as a deadly warrior. As she instantly turned somehow knowing he was there.

Crack!

Not that it mattered, as he then punched her in the face so hard, her aura shattered. Admittingly he put a bit more force than he should have, though he felt no guilt. In that one hit, the feared Bandit Princess went down without even putting up a fight. Those that were around her stood in shock.

Pow! Bam! Whap!

Then in less than ten seconds, he beat them down unconscious. Having acted instead of just waiting for them to get their bearings. Soon, all the foes in this area were taken out. While he knew some people were hurt or dead, at least he limited further tragedy. Living Bullet then walking up to Bandit Princess ready to put some special cuffs on her that even trained fighters with aura would have problems breaking.

"!" Then paused with eyes widening. As beneath the mobians dress were legs that shouldn't belong there. Legs that were that of Grimm. For that moment Living Bullet could only stare, his mind racing quickly to figure out why this woman even had such appendages.

"My. Staring beneath a woman's clothing. How vulgar." He then turned where he then saw five people.

The first being a woman in red, who had commented his starting with a small smile where he then noticed a Grimm arm on it. Something he's never seen before.

The second is a giggling man with braided hair.

The third is a large imposing man who had taken off his jacket, revealing arms full of scars.

The fourth is an arrogant type person with a mustache, who stared at him with intrigue.

As for the fifth, well…

"If I'm correct, you are the one called Living Bullet, no." An inhuman woman who looked...eerily like Sammael in certain aspects, looked down at him with glowing red eyes and the Grimm following her.. So it seems there really is a new Fallen in town, huh. Another day at work it seems.

The RWBY villains are about to be humbled as they witness the power of this world's top ranked heroes. Yet be assured, they will also escape this top rank hero somehow. Otherwise, the story will just be over.

And it seems our Hound was just caught on camera.
