Mass Eradication

This was the 'event' Salem herself would call when the Brother Gods annihilated humanity without effort. During the day of the Rebellion, The God of Darkness used his power to wipe out all of humanity within seconds, leaving nothing but literal dust of them leftover. Only Salem survived due to her own curse, leaving her as the sole witness of the event.

Later on, Ozpin would witness this when he discovered Jinn and asked her of what happened to the Gods, and would be equally horrified at the genocide.

Hazel and Cinder ran as they entered the underground, ready to get in position as they walked under the stress. They had their mission and goals, and the Grimm were wrecking as much havoc as possible to give a good distraction. The enemies they faced, no longer able to find them.

"With this done, we can now proceed to finish our job." Hazel says as he runs as best as he could to their position.

"Uh-hu. Sure." Cinder said as she tried her best to ignore the smell down here. "All that's left is to finish this and leave." Salem made it clear that once they finished phase two, they must leave the city to ensure they didn't get caught. Thanks to their actions, Denver will be too busy trying to kill the Grimm and the bandits than them. Even better, this trip has made them learn a few things as well.

'To think, this world has something as powerful as the Relics.' Cinder also felt interested in these Spiral Gems. But also annoyed that one of them had been used against them, as Salem had learned and told them of one Mayor Sebben and his own gem. The one that could see the future and possibilities. Such a power would be very devastating to them. 'But thanks to Salem, she now knows all about it.'

Meaning they avoided getting captured, and proving fate wrong. Something about it making her happy to defy such a predetermined destiny that would lead to their capture. The heroes tried to use the future for their advantage, only for Salem to overturn it. How wonderful.

Cinder then felt a buzz on her scroll and she checked it. It was Watts. "It seems the good doctor has finished his part."

"Excellent." Hazel said. "That means we can now leave through the locked parts of the sewers."

Obviously, the two criminals can't leave through the surface of the city. So, they would have to take the sewers instead to leave. Normally that would be impossible to do, as the sewers locked certain areas so that there wouldn't be people getting hurt or causing accidents. Watts however had entered the control room of the sewers, and used his skill to hack them and then start opening the locked areas. With that, Hazel and Cinder can leave with no complications.

Boom!

"?" Cinder looked up, with Hazel doing the same. Both having heard what appeared to be...thunder? "Must be a Grimm." Cinder states.

"Agreed." While the weather was cold, there were no signs of rain, meaning no lightning, meaning no thunder. It must have been something else all together.

"Valhallen in the house!" How right Hazel and Cinder were, as it certainly wasn't mother nature that caused thunder to be heard. Instead, it was none other than the Justice friends own God of Rock who sent a massive bolt of lightning down at Salem. One that engulfed her with the other heroes turning their heads to avoid the light show that was produced from it. Soon after, all that was left was smoke with Valhallen then landing with a smile.

"So...I make a killer entrance." it wasn't even a question.

"You. Good!" Krunk threw a thumbs up with Living Bullet also smiling.

"Nice timing Valhallen. A perfect arrival scene." The speedster complimented. "But we still have a few problems." Particularly the Grimm, as even now they could be heard all over along with the screams.

"Oh, don't worry about that." Valhallen smirked as he raised his guitar, ready to play his tune. The clouds above slowly move. "I think I have the perfect tune for this."

(This is Why We Bleed by Leader Starts to Play)

(As you sit and make your list)

Valhallen slowly picked at the strings. A melody coming out, before slowly going strong.

(Think about the years you've missed)

The clouds slowly started moving, entering a formation that many people on the ground began noticing. Yet while they did feel fear thinking things were about to get worse, that emotion would soon change.

(As the tear falls from your eye)

(Know the reason that you cry, cry)

For a moment, Valhallen could see it. The Grimm tearing apart the flesh of man and woman. Officers doing their best to shoot back futilely, and Huntsmen unsure if they could kill all the Grimm on time. The city of Denver facing such a horrible nightmare.

Well...that was going to change soon.

Down below, fighting, Tine saw them and smiled a bit.

"Yeah!" Yara pumped a fist to the air, watching as she and Ross saw the clouds moving, knowing who it was before she looked at the Grimm. "You guys are screwed now!"

(The scar burns deep inside)

Then in that single moment, the clouds stopped, and a great thunder was heard. At that, everything fell silent for just a moment.

(The scar burns deep inside)

Watts, who was slowly leaving while also checking his scroll and having smiled at implanting a special virus in Denver's own systems-the servers anyway-, stopped as he looked at the clouds in confusion. Elsewhere, Valhallen then let out a breath and grinned.

(This is why we bleed,)

Lightning then fell with the sounds of thunder coming after. The bolts of energy falling from the sky, and for many they assumed some messed up weather was about to kill them all. That was until they then noticed something odd, even as the bolts slammed into the ground.

Particularly...that the bolts of lightning hit only Grimm.

(This is why we scream)

All Grimm, from Beowolves, Apathy, Creeps, and so on. Hit by devastating force with perfect accuracy. Despite not even being near them, the God of Rock used whatever Godly power he had to sense them.

Krunk and Living Bullet, the former carrying the unconscious North and Erika, looking in amazement at what they're friend was doing.

(But we won't run away)

Grimm tried to run, yet got hit either way. Even those that managed to survive the first bolt, didn't when the second hit.

(This is why we know,)

(That we must go)

As the heroes and the people watched the city slowly being saved, the inhumane being known as edel watched emotionlessly, stepping back. Unsure if she should leave as her new Mistress was dead.

(So we can fight today)

So it was strange when her eye caught the pillar of smoke, and something gathering within it. Something that the other watching from her Pearl found interesting.

(You can make me bleed,)

Ross smirked as he watched the Apathy reduced to nothingness. Yara cheering on as each bolt killed another Grimm in perfect harmony.

(You can make me scream)

Tina let herself relax, as she saw the Grimm being dealt with. "Nice job." She admits.

(But I won't run away)

(This is how I know)

The bandits themselves were also nervous. Watching the Grimm that they had been allied with being killed off in quick succession.

"W-what do we do man." One bandit asked in quick worry.

(That I must go)

"Ain't it obvious." The bandit he spoke to snarled as he turned to run away. "We leave."

(So I can fight today)

Though just seconds before the group of misfits could even leave, a bolt of lightning came and hit right near them. The bandits screaming.

(Open your eyes to the world unknown)

It wasn't just them either. All bandits who had tried to leave faced the same problem. While they would attempt to run, bolts of lightning-while not hitting them-nearly did. Forcing them to stop.

(Fighting the lies of the dark alone)

"Well hello gentleman." One group then heard a voice and turned. Seeing none other than Tina with some policemen who had just came by with her. In other locations Huntsmen and officers now grouping up to bandits that had been spread all over. "Leaving so soon." Her weapon was aimed at them.

(But you're still bleeding)

Underground, as Cinder and Hazel moved, Cinder then felt a jolt of pain in her.

(And it's still feeding)

One that made her feel sick and ill, as her own Grimm arm began convulsing like it was being affected. But it wasn't just her own arm being affected.

(Don't fight the dark alone)

Outside Denver, many Grimm that had sensed the negativity were slowly arriving. While Denver's defense system had been ready to fire, the men behind the weapons stopped as they then noticed something odd.

(This is why we bleed,)

Particularly, the Grimm that were coming then falling down on their legs and knees.

(This is why we scream)

"What in the world." Then slowly disintegrating away, like they weren't even there in the first place despite the lightning not even hitting them.

(But we won't run away)

All of this was thanks to Valhallen's song. One he developed for lesser Grimm that he couldn't reach with his lighting. As he kept up the music, it's effects became apparent.

(This is why we know,)

That all Grimm, with certain exceptions, that heard this tune would be destroyed from the very music he played. Music infused with some of his awesome power.

(That we must go)

"Incredible." Living Bullet says as he watched the city being saved by both the power of lightning and music. Being impressed by his ally's own capabilities.

(So we can fight today)

He then frowned though when he thought he heard a small shrill close by. Unsure where it even came from.

(You can make me bleed,)

Not knowing it was from the small Beetle Grimm, that was also being affected by the power of this music. Unlike the other Grimm, this one was made a bit differently, so it was able to keep itself together.

(You can make me scream)

But it still hurt like a bitch.

(But I won't run away)

Soon, people began cheering as they finally realized what was going on. Realizing what was happening as the storm was doing its job.

(This is how I know)

That is, wiping out the Grimm threat itself. One that amazed them as they celebrated that they're city was being saved.

(That I must go)

Huntsmen and officers giving sighs of relief, as they saw the last of the Grimm going away. Proud that even if they didn't do this, they at least held the line and thanks whoever did this.

(So I can fight today)

Bandits all rounded up, as they grunted at being captured. Upset that they had lost while being cuffed and placed in vehicles.

(Can you hear me now?)

"So we won." Yara says as she and Ross watch the last of the Grimm vanish away. Though while Ross was happy, he didn't look entirely satisfied.

"Against the Grimm, yes. But against the ones who started this mess-"

(Can you hear me now?)

In the shadows of the city, Watts went away as he made his escape.

(Can you hear me now?)

"-not so much." Ross then looked at the sky that was then slowly clearing. This time, the storm of the cold weather also leaving. "But...this is okay too."

(Can you hear, can you hear,)

(Can you hear, me now?)

Soon, Valhallen began finishing the last of his song. The Grimm having been eradicated, the bandits captured, all that was left was one thing.

(But we won't run away)

With a final verse, Valhallen then began using his power to control the weather over the city. Particularly, the cold that came with it.

(This is why we bleed,)

His fingers drummed up the guitar strings as he then gave a mighty scream with his trademark grin.

(This is why we scream)

The weather, as if hearing him, began shifting and turning. Everyone watching in awe at what was going on.

(But we won't run away)

Watching as the very cold storm began vanishing away. The Asgardians song of rock pushing it aside like it wasn't even there.

(This is why we know,)

(That we must go)

As the clouds parted, the sun began showing itself. It's light hitting all across the city. The citizens watching with smiles as the storm went away.

(So we can fight today)

"Hehe. Show off." Living Bullet says as he looks at the city with Krunk. The entire city having been saved in under a minute.

(You can make me bleed,)

Of course, by far was this over just yet. Even with the Grimm, bandits, and the cold weather gone, there was still one thing left to do.

(You can make me scream)

The Fallen and the girl with her.

(But I won't run away)

Back to them, Edel watched as at long last the clumps of dust formed into the shape of a woman. One that had been reduced to nothing earlier.

(This is how I know)

With eyes that opened up in clear anger and glowing red, hands twitching as Salem reformed herself in seconds after she gathered herself together.

(That I must go)

Eyes that then turned to Valhallen who's back was turned along with the others, not even knowing she had regenerated. Likely having assumed the man had killed her, and in a way, he did. Only having survived because the power of one thing.

(So I can fight today)

"A God…" She whispered in seething rage.

(This is why we bleed,)

Memories filling her mind as she watched what was clearly a god-like act. Saving the people with power that reminded Salem of the Brothers. While weaker in power, the fact is Valhallen was a God that just did the impossible.

(This is why we scream)

Saving the city in but a few minutes, with power that most would envy. Having used his power for good instead of mass devastation.

(Don't fight the dark alone)

And that...was something that angered her even more. As Salem recalled the day she rebelled against the Gods, and how they wiped out her entire army. But not just that either.

(This is why we know,)

But when instead they wiped out all of humanity so quickly, it hadn't even been funny. With everybody who existed gone from the world. Killed off without even knowing what had happened.

(That we must go)

Salem, frustrated now as this man Valhallen, the God of Rock, reminded her of those two loathsome beings. The ones who cursed her to never die. A memory she'd rather forget but now reminded off.

(So we can fight today)

"Edel," Salem turned to the girl, who stared back at her. "Get ready."

(You can make me bleed,)

"Understood." Edel says, as even though there were complications, the plan was still ongoing. Valhallen may have made some rather big complications, but it wasn't ruined.

(You can make me scream)

If anything-

(Don't fight the dark alone)

Hazel and Cinder, the latter finally feeling better with her arm no longer feeling pain, at last made it.

Watts himself is also in position to.

(This is how I know)

It was about to get started.

(That I must go)

"Hm?" As the Viking God of Rock finished his song, he then felt something off. The Asgardion then turning his head to see what was going on.

(So I can fight today)

Where he then lifted his guitar and blocked a stream of magic. One that caught Krunk and Living Bullet's attention.

(So I can fight today)

"That...hurt…" With Salem ready for battle.

(This is Why We Bleed by Leader Ends)

'Wait...what?' Living Bullet blinked, with Valhallen also confused. "Hey man, maybe next time you should hit her." The speedster then called out to Valhallen who chuckled.

"Oh I will." He laughed out. "Next hit will definitely land." Though despite those words, the hero narrowed his eyes at Salem behind his blonde hair. 'But...I'm pretty sure I did hit her head on.'

She must have dodged it. Because after getting a text from Living Bullet, and when he finally arrived and saw the Fallen, Valhallen pumped up his magic and sent a lightning bolt that would have killed most Fallen with only Sammael and Moloch capable of surviving it. Otherwise, how else could this one have lived.

"So then," The Fallen then spoke up, with the strange girl right next to her walking towards the Fallen's side. "I believe you must be Valhallen, correct? The God of Rock."

There was a lot of animosity in the 'God' part.

"Didn't you hear my song?" Valhallen asked with a confident smile. "You don't hear such tunes from earth. It's my own Asgardians song I made to deal with people who have attitude problems like you."

Krunk put the two members of REYN down with Living Bullet getting ready for a fight. "In any case, surrender now." The speedster once more told Salem. "Your little pets are done."

"Yes, the Grimm are finished." Salem then held her glowing purple hands. "But I'm not."

"Fine." Living Bullet was instantly in her face. However, while the man was fast, even faster than him, Salem predicted the movement having faced such quick foes many times before. So while she couldn't see his movements completely, she saw enough along with rapid prediction to create an energy barrier just a nanosecond before Living Bullets fist clashed with her face. The punch hitting her own barrier and sending Living Bullet back from the rebound.

Valhallen struck next with a bolt of lightning from his guitar, one Salem couldn't dodge. However, just before it actually struck her Edel made her move and used her Pearl to intercept it. The lightning actually entering and absorbing it into the magical item.

"Gru! Krunk smash!" The purple behemoth himself tried to squash Salem, but Edel turned and then released the lightning she absorbed and at Krunk. While it did no real damage, the force of the blow still sent him back and out of the rooftop.

Valhallen moved next, and he made no effort to hide the slight anger that the girl attacked his friend. Still, he didn't let that anger blind him, and made sound movement in attacking the Fallen. His guitar now being an improvised battle-axe as he swung it at the Fallen. While Salem avoided some of them, she felt the very wind slam into her and sent her back a bit. It made her realize that Valhallen was much stronger if simple swings could make the wind do that.

Though she wouldn't have to think it for long as Living Bullet came in and did a three-punch combo with the third hit cracking her skull. Then he moved back as Valhallen came in and made a downward slash. Salem's skull was split it two, with dark Grimm goop spilling out of her split face.

While Living Bullet felt a bit ill seeing that, he moved on and used his speed to grab Salem by her hand and then throw her at Valhallen who then used his guitar as a baseball bat this time and slammed the side of his instrument to send Salem flying to the nearest billboard.

SPLAT!

More of the goop came out as she hit it.

"Move." Edel then came in and attempted to use her Pearl at full power. Living Bullet and Valhallen affected by it, and could feel their energy being drained. Of course, someone wouldn't allow that to happen.

"No!" Jumping back up, Krunk came in and shoved the two aside, taking their place. His own grand power being sucked it at full power. However, to Edel's slight mimicked surprise, Krunk didn't even seem impeded by the energy absorption. She was even doing it at full power, which would kill regular people instantly. Yet Krunk didn't seem fazed at all.

"Okay," Living Bullet watches the exchange. "Seems Krunk has her handle, now let's- woah there!" At the last second, Living Bullet dodged an energy stream that had nearly struck him. He and Valhallen turned to see Salem back up and looking none worse than what they had done before.

"Okay, so she has a pretty strong regeneration ability." All Fallen had powerful healing factors. Granted, it differed per Fallen like Sammael having one of the best as Sebben himself told the Justice Friends, and Black Velvet's own regeneration only healed small wounds yet not missing limbs. Seems this Fallen had a strong one to heal her face.

"I got it." Valhallen swung his hand on his guitars strings and a sound wave came out of it. The sonic attack hitting Salem dead on, making her ears bleed and even caused her eyes to explode. Yet she didn't even seem to care and simply moved her hand.

"Watch out!" One that made Living Bullet see a literal car floating and heading towards Valhallen. The Asgardian seeing the flying car and swung his guitar and slashed it in half. The two pieces missing him.

Living Bullet, unwilling to let this continue, ran down the building stairs, crossed the street, then climbed the stairs again and broke down the door where he was then near the billboard the Fallen was on. With strong strikes, he broke the billboards support beams and the thing began falling down. Of course he then saw the Fallen not even care and just float above it letting it fall.

Okay, so she can apparently fly to.

'Not to mention,' Living Bullet thought as he dodged another rainbow streamed attack while Valhallen sent lightning at Salem only for her to not even care as it struck, let aside even grunt in pain. 'She seems to have a few more abilities than certain Fallen.'

As for Salem, she was growing rather annoyed at the resistance these heroes were making. However, she was glad about one thing thought, involving the so-called God of Rock. 'That he's nowhere near their power.'

Sure he was giving her a tough time. But when she read and learned he was some kind of God, for Salem, she thought she would be doomed at facing one of the Gods. recalling her own time when she met the Brother Gods and the rebellion that went wrong. But after just a small bit of battling him, Salem can now see that he was powerful, perhaps even more powerful than her, he wasn't near the Brothers full power.

'I suppose just like with men,' Salem thought as she sent a tornado at Valhallen who braced himself against the conjured tornado and was sent a few feet back. 'There's also a hierarchy of sorts with Gods.'

Not that it mattress right now, as Salem then heard a roar and saw Krunk jumping at her. It seems Edel was unable to absorb all his energy. If anything, a close look and one can see small cracks on the Pearl. With Edel realizing that for some reason, she was unable to absorb all of Krunk's lifeforce as it simply just felt to immense.

Still-

"Edel," Salem called out to her.

-that didn't mean she couldn't make use of what she had. Listening to Salem, Edel sent a stream of the stolen energy to none other than Salem who absorbed it. While it was but a small fraction, with the energy itself tearing apart Salem's own veins due to incompatibility, Salem still sued it and punched the Krunk in the face and sent him to the ground. The ground itself cracking at the force of the blow, Salem then turned and sending the energy she stole as a mass laser blast at the two heroes who earnestly avoided it as they knew Krunk's energy was lethal in some ways.

"I'll give you this much lady," Valhallen played a tune and lightning once more hit Salem. "You sure know how to take a hit."

"You get used to it." Salem scoffed back as she sent flames at the hero who ducked but felt the heat from it. Then, with full speed, Living Bullet jumped up high and grabbed Salem who struggled to get him off her. The man then dragged her down where they both hit the ground. Though the impact caused him to let her go, and from it, Salem summoned many Shadow Hands that grabbed Living Bullet and restrained him.

"Let. Him go!" Then Krunk came in and with inhumane strength grabbed Salem and punched her so hard, her face caved in. The Shadow Hands disappearing with Edel looking down the building she was on and saw the beat-down Krunk was giving Salem. She tried to use her Pearl to once more absorb Krunk's energy, but like before, it did nothing as his life-force, vitality, unique energy, was just too much to make any real difference. It'd likely take hours to make an actual difference, and Edel didn't think Salem had that time.

The Fallen being creamed in the most literal sense. Krunk's punches devastating her body and reducing her to a messy pile of gore. Normally, Krunk would never do this type of thing. However, despite his rather childish mind, he knew that a Fallen couldn't be allowed to live properly. So while he couldn't say he liked it, especially the mess it was making, Krunk would sooner do this than let the Fallen hurt his friends.

So it came to his, Living Bullet, and Valhallen's shock when the Fallen's remaining arm moved and from the goop numerous Shadow Hands came out from a red glyph and grabbed Krunk before lifting him into the air. Then, despite the fact she should be dead, the Fallen regenerated back to normal, clothes included. With the only thing she did after was not scream in agony, but just adjust her jaw.

"Hm." Salem looks at Krunk. "Good blow." She then had the Shadow Hands send him toward the nearest building where he crashed into it. Salem then turned towards Living Bullet who was still restrained by her Shadow Hands and sent a bolt of electricity at him. Valhallen came in and blocked the attack with ease. Though while doing that, Valhallen felt that there was something way to off with this Fallen.

'I get the Fallen can regenerate, but aside from Sammael, none of the rest should be capable of regenerating from being turned to a pile of mush.' The regeneration this one showed was abnormal, even by normal standards. Heck, she didn't even have a single mark on herself that indicated she had been reduced to goop. There was something else going on here.

Still, for now he had a job. If they couldn't kill her, then restraining her will be the next best thing. No telling what kind of attack it'll take to kill her, and while he did have some moves to do it, it'll cause a bit too much damage. Plus, maybe they can get information out of her.

So first, Valhallen cut the Shadow Hands that held Living Bullet in place, then Krunk came in and landed near them. As they did that, the strange girl turned into a shadow mist thing and moved toward Salem before reforming. The three heroes facing the two Fallen. Ready for another round.

CRACK!

Only for the heroes to then here the warehouse, the very one from Sebben's vision, making a very bad rumbling sound as the windows shattered and the sides of the building cracking. With Living Bullet himself fearing this as if he recalled right, Sebben mentioned that the warehouse was destroyed and killed lots of people. But how!? She wasn't even near it.

"Graa!" Hazel roared as he slammed into another pillar down. The entire area was now highly unstable, and with that done he began moving away. Cinder with him and having secured their exit, the two rapidly leaving as they finished their part of the plan. Now Watt's role was next, and while it wasn't anything flashy or important, it would help with destabilizing a little something that made Dust so secured safely.

Their containers.

Inside the warehouse, with mechanical electronic locks, the containers that held all sorts of Dust began unlocking. Thanks to Watts, they had been opened up and slowly began sliding down. Even if this building had collapsed, nothing too bad would happen as the Dust would be secured tight in their containment units. Now however, well, not so much.

"Well then gentlemen." Salem tells the heroes with a slight smile. "I think it's best you start running."

"You-" Before Living Bullet can say anymore, or even try to fight her, he then screamed with Valhallen and Krunk looking worried when their friend fell onto his knees and his hands shooting up at his helmet as if trying to grab something. While Valhallen didn't like doing this, he rushed toward the speedster and ripped the helmet off, getting in a position so the Fallen wouldn't see his face, and gasped.

Halfway in Living Bullet's ear canal, was a small Beetle Grimm squirming as it's upper half was already in him. The rest still trying to move in with Valhallen connecting the dots. This Fallen, she planted a bug, a literal bug, on Living Bullet. He didn't know when, but now he understood why his fellow Justice Friend was on his knees., This thing was practically tearing up his insides a bit.

Valhallen turned and glared at the Fallen who just smiled. She then said, "If you wish to stop and capture me, that is fine. But," Making a hand motion, Living Bullet screamed further as the Beetle Grimm crawled in a few millimeters extra where Valhallen then saw some kind of goop seeping out along with blood. "I will have my little pet enter his brain, and then test a theory of mine. If it can use it's power absorption on the Dust in his system, and, well, see what happens after."

So either they chase her down, or let her go but save their friend. The worst part was, both Krunk and Valhallen, while in rage at what the Fallen did, could also do nothing as she then flew off with the girl. Once she became a small dot, Valhallen acted quick and grabbed the Beetle Grimm and roughly pulled it out. Blood came out with Living Bullet clutching his ruined left ear while the God of Rock angrily crushed the bloody Grimm with gritted teeth.

Unfortunately, he had other problems to attend to.

"Krunk!" He then shouted at the purple behemoth. "Get the other two! We need to go. Now!"

Krunk did as he was told, and rushed to grab Erika and North, and began moving with Valhallen holding Living Bullet with the two jumping away. Thankfully, everybody in this area had long since been moved out, thanks to Tina subtly making movements to ensure so. To change the future to their liking. Sadly…

BOOOOOOMMMMM!

Some things were meant to stay the same.

The warehouse collapsing fully at last, with all the loose Dust hitting each other or the ground and causing an explosion so big, everything in a half-mile radius disintegrating in a flash of colorful volatile light. Everything in a three mile radius had every window shattered and the ground shaking with some cracks forming.

Denver survived the ordeal, and thanks to the Justice Friends alongside the Dragon of Denver's wife Tine and Team REYN, stopped before things got worse. But...by no means was this a perfect victory either. With dozens dead, countless injured, a small but good chunk of the city's industrial area gone, and the sewers an entire mess. Even worse, footage of these that had somehow been stolen from cameras showed the Justice Friends supposedly caused the explosion, courtesy of Watts. While many didn't believe it, some sadly did.

With one man giving a soft clap at the wonderful entertainment.

"I have to say, this was a good one." Sammael grinned as the news was reporting this all over America and a few other countries. "Denver. Protected by the famed Dragon of Denver along with the Metal Men. Having defended from countless Grimm and stood bright and tall. Now having been under siege by Grimm that entered mysteriously and caused millions of technos worth of damage and countless dead with many now jobless."

"Using the sewers as a way in...that's definitely a new one." Moloch also complimented. "Most would just try to dig underground, try to hack in the city's defenses, or use maybe a teleportation power. But instead, they used such a mundane method that was completely overlooked. Granted, this will only work once when the investigators discover just how the Grimm got it."

"Still, they did their role." Sammael says to his colleague. During all that ruckus, and just before that warehouse collapsed, the two from before stole as much Dust as they could before destroying the underground support for it. The Grimm ultimately being just a distraction alongside the bandits. "Not to mention, we saw more of the Fallen at long last, and her capabilities."

"Her powers weren't that much to note." Moloch states. "Good variety, but nothing else. The real thing that was more interesting, was her inability to die."

"So you did notice that."

"Please. As if I didn't see her get hit that normal Fallen would die from." Moloch rolls his eyes. "While Fallen have strong regeneration powers, that lightning bolt reduced her to ash. And Krunk splattered her until even the bones were reduced to pieces."

Regeneration had its own limitations. It could only regenerate if something was still there. Sure there have been Fallen who could regrow limbs, with one in the past once even regenerating half their body. But the woman, herself was something different. One didn't just turn to ash then reform as if it were nothing after all. The two Fallen, after seeing this, didn't even need to talk to confirm what that power was.

Immortality.

"I wonder how she received such a gift?" Moloch was already informed this Fallen was from another world. Maybe if they learned how she gained immortality, they could give it to the others so that they could withstand such devastating attacks.

"Until we have the time to properly meet her, we'll have to wait for that." Personally, Sammael himself was also curious how she to gained immortality. Because he knew that she couldn't have gotten it through any normal way or method. You are either born with it, with something telling Sammael this woman wasn't always a Fallen like him and the others at first, or you gained immortality somehow. Even he technically gained immortality not because of his own doing, but because of his long dead human mother.

Of course, he was also interested in another matter aside from that.

'What does she even need that much Dust for?' While Sammael could learn many things from Edel thanks to her Pearl, it wasn't as if Salem was always near her or in ear shot. So while he knew the Fallen known as Salem wanted Dust, he didn't know why. Oh well, he can figure that out another day.

For now, he'd rather watch the news of the attack on Denver and how the heroes would face the backlash of it.

Salem's original plan was to use the Beetle to kill Living Bullet and drain Krunk dry because of Edel, all while stealing the Dust from the warehouse then blowing the remains to, well, dust.

But because of Valhallen who received a text and wasn't talked to, she didn't know he came ruining her plan and forcing her to speed things along. Forced to use the Grimm to threaten to kill living Bullet to escape, and underestimating the IMMENSE energy Krunk has, if we all remember right, that can challenge a Diamond. Still, she got some good results and managed to escape with the Dust while the heroes, who did save many lives as it would have been worse, now face the fallout with the remaining who died and a small chunk of the city now gone and damaged.

So...score one for the bad guys I guess. And a thanks to Lord Maximus for the song.
