Portal Spots

The Unofficial name of the two portals known by only a scant few.

During Van Kleiss's attempts to gather an army, and countless objects, he would use a powerful dimensional portal to gather these things. However, despite his knowledge in opening a portal to other worlds, his inexperience has caused him to create instability when opening portals.

Causing dimensional breaches that have actually appeared in other dimensions (forcing many in said dimensions to fix it), and even risks allowing dark threats to enter Dimension GF-007 and potentially destroying it. During one of his attempts, due to literal cosmic intervention, the portal would temporarily be destroyed but not before creating and sending three beams of energy elsewhere.

The first would disperse, but not before releasing dangerous criminals of another world called Remnant. The other two would actually stabilize in a safe manner, and connect to Remnant where the second leads to the Land of Darkness in Remnant, where thousands to millions of Grimm roam, and the third leads to an unknown location.

The Wilds had a sense of peace for quite a bit of time. Thanks to Salem's presence, and a lack of any surprising events, those who lived in the Wilds did their own thing. Be it eating, training, reading, or fighting one another. This included Salem and her own allies, who haven't particularly done much ever since the events at Denver.

Watts was busy with his machines. Hazel was simply enjoying the sights in the Wilds. Cinder training whenever she could, but also relaxing with a good book at times. Tyrian...being Tyrian here and there. Bandit Princess attacking other villages whenever she had the chance. Edel simply staying quiet while Salem herself, studying more of this world's history to get a better understanding. Especially of what she learned quite a bit ago.

'Fallen.' The name that came up so many times, with the so-called heroes calling her a Fallen. Using the books here and the internet, Salem did many things to figure out what these Fallen were. But unfortunately, she didn't find much on the internet aside from baseless rumors.

Books that dealt with fairy tales on the other hand, well, they were more informative. After all, fairy tales were a thing she knew that held bits of the truth of actual events. So it pleased her when she found certain figures in different books. While varying in size, shape, and form, each of them spoke of a childhood nightmare that could command the Grimm, and were inhumane monsters.

'Assuming the words those heroes spoke of and the strange feeling I keep getting, it's safe to say there is something out there like me.' While a part of her felt it was silly that there would be another being like her, it would be foolish to dispute it as well. The fact those heroes called her a Fallen, was proof enough that there were others like or at the least, similar to her. Ones they seemed to have faced.

"And yet...there is no information on them." Didn't take long for the witch to realize that the Huntsmen of this world were like Ozpin. While forthcoming with great information, they kept certain details hidden. While many fools claimed the truth is better said, reality spoke otherwise. If people knew there were beings like her out there, it would cause quite the panic. No doubt something this Fallen group probably used, and like her, kept to the shadows until the time came.

"Grrrr." Suddenly, a nearby Grimm growled and her Seer began acting up. Having it get close to her, Salem checked to see what was happening and noticed movement happening. An image showing none other than the group known as Satyra coming. Smiling, she sent a mental command so that the Grimm wouldn't attack them, though while doing so, she felt something else.

Another presence, one that was very much like...hers.

"Get the others." She then told the Seer. "It's time."

"Hm. Very interesting." Dark Kat chuckled as he noticed the Grimm, with not a single one attacking. "You know, I had my doubts. But this definitely confirms someone like me is here."

"Uh." Catra walked a bit farther away from Dark Kat, being closer to Scorpia. Not that she was the only one, as many members also opted to stay away from the mobian cat. None of them liking the feeling he gave off.

"So," Scorpia, deciding to break the tense mood, spoke to Dark Kat. "You know who this woman is?" That got Catra's interest, because it felt like the Eminence knew what this woman was. So Dark Kat must know what she exactly is.

"That's on a need to know basis." The lieutenant grinned with Catra frowning. Still, she didn't dare speak against him. Not just because he's ranked a lot higher than her, but because she got the distinct feeling if she ever faced against him, she wouldn't get off with a slap on the wrist. Regardless, the group moved on facing no real trouble aside from maybe the occasional branch in the face.

The Grimm didn't bug them, and the hostile animals didn't dare go against them. Not because they feared the faunus and mobians and their silly toys. But mainly because their own instincts told them Dark Kat shouldn't be messed with. After over half an hour of walking, eventually, the group finally saw the town now occupied by many bandits.

All of them sneering and giving nasty looks at them, not that Satyra cared. Plus, one mobian made herself known.

"Well look at what the cat dragged in. More cultist!" Catra rolled her eyes while Scorpia giggled. In front of them was none other than Bandit Princess, who smirked at them while making a motion for her more troublesome bandits to not attack. "I see you guys came back." Her eyes then went to Dark Kat, where she momentarily shivered but stood her ground. "And I see you have…?"

"Just consider me the mobian that will get this truce done." Dark Kat gave a predatory smile, making both bandits and Satrya feel a cold down their spines. Bandit Princess the most, as she shook a bit as it reminded her of Salem.

"Er, right. Whatever. Anyway, the boss will see you now." As Bandit Princess turned to guide them, Dark Kat looked at her, then at her clothing. Or more specifically, what he sensed behind her dress.

"Hm. Nice legs." He commented.

"..." While Bandit Princess felt more unease, Catra and Scorpia, who didn't understand what Dark Kat meant, felt more weirded out now.

'Huh. So that's his type.' Is what Scorpia thought while Catra decided not to understand the mobian's fetishes. The group kept on going where Satyra saw the town was looking a lot better than before. The bandits having cleaned up a lot since the last meeting, while also seeing the cut-throat killers having more warmer clothes on, due to the weather.

Bandit Princess soon showed them to a building where the massive poster of that rich snob has long since been removed, where they also saw Grimm guarding it. By this point, the bandits have stupidly believed that their boss Bandit princess must be controlling them somehow. The Satyra group members looking unease at seeing this, with Dark Kat just being more and more interested, as his eyes looked up at the top of the building.

"Alright then." Bandit Princess then pushed a button for the elevator. "You three," She pointed at Catra, Scorpia, and Dark Kat. "With me. The rest of you stay here. And don't worry." From nearby Beowolves and Ursas came out growling, with a bench between them. "They'll keep a 'safe' eye on you. Well, so long as you don't mess anything up."

"What!" One member cried out. "Like hell we're sitting with monsters!"

"Yeah!"

"Same here!"

While they didn't know how Bandit Princess was doing it, none of the members wished to stay with Grimm. Last thing they needed was an 'accident' to happen to them. Catra and Scorpia also looked ready to object, but Dark Kat interfered.

"Why of course." He agreed to the proposal. Shocking the lesser members. "No need to bring the rest with us. Just us three will be fine."

"B-but si-" One man tried objecting, only to freeze when Dark Kat looked at him.

"Is there a problem?"

That was all the man needed to freeze and meekly say, "N-no sir. None at all." The rest t fearful to object any further. "We'll stay here."

"That's my boy." Dark Kat smiled as he walked toward the elevator and entered it. "Then let's get this meeting underway."

While Catra and Scorpia didn't like this, they had little choice in the matter as they entered alongside Bandit Princess. The rest now sitting on a bench sweating as the Grimm watched them observantly for any trouble they might cause. The last thing Catra saw, before the doors closed, was one of the Creeplings sniffing a member who then squealed.

After that, a long number of silence came filled with tension. It might have been different if it was just the three women. But with Dark Kat, it felt worse. Deciding to just talk, and hope to get rid of the mood, Scorpia went first.

"So Bandit Princess, I see you got this place all cleaned up."

"Not all of it." The cut-throat leader says. "Just the basics here and there. But eh, much better than sleeping on a rock or tree."

"I suppose that's the cause for being a bandit." Catra scoffed.

"Says the terrorist." Bandit Princess sneered.

The two looked at one another where one could see sparks flying between their eyes. Neither liking the other for various reasons, but if they had to pick one, it'd be because they just didn't like the other at all. Especially their face.

Thankfully, after another two minutes or so, the elevator finally reached its destination with a little ding. There, the doors opened revealing the top floor, where numerous individuals stood. Hazel, Cinder, on the left. Watts and Tyrian on the right. At the center, Salem on her throne with Edel beside her, with Grimm all around and watching. While the group alongside Bandit Princess felt a bit worried, Dark Kat felt like he was at home.

As he stepped forward and entered, he locked eyes with Salem and in that instant, the two then saw one another. Where a connection was then made. One that made the two's own eyes glow red for the briefest of moments, and realized something was up.

"Salem." One that had to be put aside for now, as Dark Kat spoke. "My name is Dark Kat, a member of Satyra. And I believe we are all meeting, because of a deal you made."

While Salem wanted to ask questions more important, she couldn't push aside this truce and said, "Yes. I truce between us and Satyra, which I believe will benefit us both."

"Correct." Dark Kat chuckled, as he looked at Salem's members. All of whom who flinched slightly, as they got that disturbing feeling they usually only got when Salem was angry. "I believe you said, you're willing to give out the resources here in the Wilds?"

"While I will utilize this location, I do not need all of its resources." After all, if she had her way, she'd be gone. "If anything, so long as we can make an acceptable trade, maybe Satyra can have some of it."

"Indeed we could." Truth be told, Dark Kat knew his Eminence could easily have gotten the Wilds. The problem was doing such a thing would take a lot of time and effort, and slow down long-term projects which was unacceptable. That wasn't even mentioning dealing with the Grimm and other 'interesting' lifeforms, and not just animals. 'But now that someone else did all the work, well…' can work out a bit better. "So what is it you want, to benefit us both?"

Salem looked at the mustached man he believed the report called Watts, who nodded and took out a strange device that was like a smartphone but different in design. The human tossing it with Dark Kat grabbing it. He then looked over it, and saw some materials that could easily be acquired. Metal, certain components, Dust, most of the stuff that can easily be gotten given some time.

"Yeah." Dark Kat tossed the strange phone back to Watts. "We can get this. But now, here's Satyra's needs."

"Very well." Salem says.

Dark Kat took out a map from his robes and produced an image of the Wilds, with marked circles here and there. "While we don't mind the resources, I should state now that the Wilds has a few objects hidden here."

"Objects?" Hazel rose a brow. "We never saw such things."

"Probably because it's in the dirt somewhere." Catra reminded Hazel. "It's somewhere in this jungle."

"Indeed." Dark Kat confirms. "Satyra hasn't had much time to bother since we have other goals, but with your control here, we can dig safely for these objects. Naturally, they'll go to Satyra."

Salem thought it over. On one hand, these objects sounded intriguing. On the other, unless she knew what they were, they may as well be useless to her. Maybe she can have Tyrain hunt down other spots for these objects, but for now, parts for the portal was the most important objective.

"Very well. And you may keep any Dust you find, but, at least fifteen percent will go to us." She told Dark Kat who agreed with the proposal.

"I have to admit, you need quite a lot of Dust." Dark Kat thought back on the materials needed. "I don't suppose you'll tell little old me."

"And I suppose you don't mind telling me what these objects are?"

"Hehehe. Touche." Dark Kat laughs a bit.

Eventually, the two talked on trades, location marks, and transportation. Leaving the rest of the group to intermingle with one another. Catra and Cinder throwing the other scowls. Bandit Princess eating an apple. Scorpia making a few moves on Tyrian who walked away being disturbed. Hazel just staying silent while Watts studied Scorpia's and Catra's armor with interest, wondering what Satyra members were equipped with.

The talks of the truce lasted for a bit, and ultimately boiled down to Satyra getting any resources they found, but they will give Dust to Salem's group and will gather certain mechanical parts for them, along with basic information on potential threats here and there. With Satyra willing to not interfere with Salem's goals so long as she did the same, and can even exchange combatants if possible.

As such, the two groups can team-up slightly, though due to Satyra's stance on humans, only Tyrian and Bandit princess would be allowed. Not that Dark Kat minded, since the two are well-sufficient in a battle.

"Alright then, guess everything is good." Dark Kat says as the truce is made. "I'll have some men come here now and then to start the diggins, and you just keep the Grimm away." Dark Kat then looked at Catra and Scorpia. "You two, you will be staying here as part of the agreement."

"Wait, what!?" Both Cinder and Catra then said, before looking at the other and snarling. The rest also surprised, mainly due to tuning out the dealings Dark Kat and Salem had been talking about.

"We will simply be allies of convenience." Salem adds on alongside Dark Kat. "Young Catra and Scorpia will not be permanent members of this team, but they will aid us out here and there." Salem then looked at Tyrian and Scorpia. "Just as you two will do the same."

"Aw man."

"Yes my Goddess!"

The reactions were all mixed.

"Great. So we're all done here." Dark Kat looked at all the others. "Though we will be talking for a bit longer. So why don't you just leave and have some fun."

The group were inclined to agree. Salem's cabal also doing the same as they saw Salem wave them off. Everyone leaving until it was just Dark Kat, Salem, and Edel who was sent to the corner again.

"...so. Shall we begin." Salem didn't ask. She just said it.

"Hehehe. I thought you'd never ask." Dark Kat grinned as he then instantly sent a purple beam at Salem, one that disintegrated her upper half. Then, before his eyes, the upper half reappeared including her clothes, with Salem then sending a mental command before Dark Kat felt his stomach in pain and saw some boney fingers from a Beowolf having struck from behind. He ripped the Beowolf's head off, and his stomach began healing.

"So. You are like me." Salem says as she stands up from her throne.

"I wouldn't say that entirely." Dark Kat says as he begins circling Salem. "I mean," He then was suddenly behind her, and snapped her neck. "I certainly don't heal like you."

Despite her neck being at the wrong angle, Salem's hand grabbed Dark Kat by the robes and roughly threw him at the ground where it cracked along with his spine. Her neck then went back to normal with the mobian's spine doing the same.

"Really?" Salem sent a stream of fire at him which he avoided. "You seem to heal fine."

"Oh, I can heal certain wounds, yeah." Dark Kat unleashed another attack, one that was composed of wind that dispersed some of the fire. "But even I can't heal from my head being blown off." From his robes, unique Grimm came out that Salem didn't recognize and attacked her.

Attempting to exert dominance over them, they ignored her and went for her face.

"Gra!" A Beowolf came and crushed them.

"Interesting Grimm." Salem says as one of the strange Grimm ran past the Beowolf and then jumped, clawing at her face. Salem then grabbed it and crushed it with ease. "Never seen them before."

"My own specialty." Dark Kat sidestepped and Ursa and disintegrated it. "Nobody but me can control them thanks to a...process I made."

"Nobody but you, huh." Salem smiled. "So does that mean you are also a 'Fallen'?"

"That's what his Eminence told me." Dark Kat smirked. "Though truth be told, I don't really understand it much. While he has taught me of what I became, he never explained where he got his knowledge."

"Does that not imply there are others like you...like me?" Salem summoned Shadow Hands that binded Dark Kat.

"Most likely." With his superior strength, Dark Kat escaped the bindings. "All I can say is that we are certainly not the only of our…'kind'." Dark Kat sent a volley of red energy at Salem who created a barrier to stop it. "Truth be told, you are the only one I've met that's like me."

"Grimm liquid." Salem says.

"Oh yeah." Dark Kat giggled. "Hurt like a bitch when I tripped down. Couldn't even scream as I felt my skin and fur burn off. But hey, I got some sweet powers from it."

"That's one way of looking at things." Salem shrugs. "So. You truly don't know who the Fallen are?"

"Don't know nor do I care." Dark Kat responds. "While I'm certain his Eminence knows of them, he doesn't seem to bother much with them. Though he did tell me one thing, a name. Sammael." A name his Eminence said with respect but with a bit of disdain.

"Sammael." There was that name again. It seems this world had certain players, and one of them was Sammael. Now wasn't that nice to know. She wondered what he was like.

"My, my." A voice was then heard. One full of laughter with a shadow appearing. Both Salem and Dark Kat, aiming their hands at the shadow ready to kill. This only got a bigger giggle. "Woah there, no need to fire." The shadow then took form. "I'm not here to fight. I'm here to...talk."

The shadow then revealed a young woman with pale skin, having white tattoos running up arms and ribs. Wears a tank top with no sleeves and was tight enough to show her developed chest, her midriff exposed and wearing black leather pants, a red belt with a knife attached to it and high heeled shoes, her lips purple like her hair.

On her shoulder was a bird, one that the two knew was no pet.

"And you are?" Salem says, still not letting up with her powers with Dark Kat in the same position. Both ready for a fight on this intruder.

"Calm. Calm." The girl giggles as she walks towards them. "I promise, I have no intentions of doing anything to you. See, no fingers crossed."

"Then explain what you want." The purple energy Dark Kat held glew a bit brighter. "Or you die here."

"Name's Nyx." The girl reveals herself, not looking bothered at the death threats. "And I'm here because I sensed some wonderful magic, and then got the great surprise of seeing both a high-level Satyra member and some new Fallen together." Nyx clapped her hands. "What a shock!"

"And what is it you want?" Behind Salem, the Grimm here were behind her and Dark Kat. Edel herself right beside her with Dark Kat narrowing his eyes at the 'girl', but looked back at Nyx, as she was the more immediate problem.

"Hm." Nyx tapped her chin a bit, then grinned. "Like you two, I want a deal."

Next chapter, others will enter GrimmFall and see what's life been like without Salem. But first, here's the latest Opening I made just for the heck of it and what is potentially to come.

Sakamoto Maaya – Yakudou

Te ni ireru no ga shouri nara, tebanasu no wa haiboku deshou ka

The scene opens up to countless stars shining in the brightness that was space.

Dare mo kizutsukanai sekai, nante kireigoto kamo shirenai

Then the camera zooms back to show a broken and shattered moon, where a planet is then seen. It then zooms downward where it goes into a castle within a dark landscape full of Grimm prowling all over.

Soredemo mada kakete mitai

The scene then changes to red eyes opening, showing Salem as she then looks out the shattered moon before grinning as the camera zooms away showing the Land of Darkness further where many people are fighting her Grimm and dying.

Hazel is seen crying as he holds the mutilated body of Gretchen.

Watts walking in the cold, throwing a hateful glare at Atlas with his fists clenching.

Tyrian laughing as he killed those who had abused him in a gory fashion.

Cinder on the ground with burns on her neck, the Madame smiling.

Finally Ozma is seen as he looks saddened.

Choudo konna tsuki no yoru, toki wo tsugeru kane no ne wo kiita

Salem overlooks all her members, all of them ready to cause chaos and death for their mission. Weapons ready.

Standing behind them is Bandit Princess, who yawned before freaking out when she saw Edel next to her.

Zankyou wa karappo no watashi zenbu misukashiteru you de

Mercury and Emerald are then seen happily talking as they walked in warmer clothing. Behind them was the Hound as it snapped a person's neck before going back to them.

Though it then paused when it turned to see none other than the portal that brought it here.

Ikari to nageki wa matataku ma ni hito kara hito e to tewatasare

Numerous images are then seen. When all of them landing in GrimmFall. Attacking different villages. Meeting with Satyra. The attack on Denver with Salem facing the Justice Friends.

Then Sammael smiling as he overlooked Salem through a seer with anticipation.

I mo shinai teki wo tsukuriagete wa, tatakae to takitsukeru no

Suddenly many heroes and villains are seen.

For the heroes, they were Sebben with his cane, Living Bullet with crossed arms alongside Team REYN. With Ruby Rose herself who tilted her head with Ironwood alongside her reloading his weapon.

Villains are shown with Nyx laughing with Pericles on her shoulder, Dark Kat grinning while Scorpia and Catra respectively smiled and frowned. Nearby being Snivley with a robotic hedgehog next to him.

Penny Polendina is then seen drinking tea with a smile alongside Winter.

Hashiridasu sono riyuu ga tatoe donna ni kudaranakute mo

Salem clashed with Living Bullet with Dark Kat helping her. Both doing their best to hit the hero before Krunk falls down before them. The two sending a massive beam at him.

Nearby Cinder and Catra are forced to work together as they battle YoHRa Unitst in the Wilds, both sides being equal. Hazel himself clashing with Muscle Man while Watts runs while shooting at a grinning Yara. Tyrian himself laughing maniacally as his mechanical tail slams against none other than Katz's own electrifying baseball bat. Bandit Princess herself running from Dracon and his missiles with Edel sitting on a rock and eating chocolate as she observes.

From a small hill, a bright light flashes and a confused group known as the Ace-Ops look around wondering where they were.

Atsuku hayaku hibiku kodou usoitsuwari no nai

As the battle continued, Salem's eyes widened as she then dodged an attack coming from none other than Sebben and Oscar, working together.

Scowling, from Salem's side came the Hound and a massive Wyvern, though before anybody could continue, a dark shadow loomed over them all. Where they all looked above seeing none other King Grimm Ghidorah flying alongside the Monstra.

Sammael watching in eagerness at the top of the Grimm's head, to see what would happen next.

Yakudou dake ni mimi wo sumashite

Turning away, Salem faces Ozpin reincarnation where his cane glows a wonderful golden light, while Salem charges her own red magic. Then as they yell, both of them send their attacks that lights up and engulfs the entire Wilds along with everybody else.

Watching the battle was none other than the Gods of Dark and Light, with King Ozric's spirit from above the planet. Wondering what will be foretold soon after.
