Gray searched the entire city for Natsu. Hoping and praying that his friend hadn't of gotten into any trouble. He finally found him on the roof of a building in his super hero persona. Gray climbed up to meet him while thanking God that Natsu didn't take off when he saw him.

"There you are." Gray said. "You're hard to track. Listen we have to talk about that suit of yours."

"This again? Gray will you relax? I have it handled."

"I don't think you realize what it is you have on you. Look I talked to Erza and-"

"Hey look it's Red Dragon!" The two heard some citizen call from a window.

"What's with the black get up?" Another one asked.

"It's probably a disguise. He thinks he can fool us! Let's shoot him down! I got a tranquilizer dart!"

"Oh man not this crap again!" Natsu groaned.

"Scatter!" Gray said once the citizens started shooting at them.

Gray moved to get away but Natsu decided to take matters into his own hands. He swung over, knocked one of them down, took his gun, and started holding him over the ten story building.

"No! Stop! Please!" The man begged. "If you drop me from this height I'll die!"

"Will you really?" Natsu asked sinisterly. "I mean you may sustain a few internal injuries but die? We think that's a bit of an exaggeration don't you think?"

When Gray realized he was alone he looked back and was horrified by what he saw. His best friend was actually threatening to drop a citizen to his death. No not threatening, he was going to do it. Gray could tell by the look in his eyes. Thinking fast, Gray darted through the window, tackled Natsu, and pulled the man safely inside, who passed out from extreme fear.

"Are you out of your freaking mind?!" Gray shouted at Natsu. "You were going to kill that guy!"

"He was trying to kill us."

"No he wasn't! It was a tranquilizer gun! It would have stunned you! And you knew that!"

"So what?"

"So what?! Need I remind you that we're heroes and that we're not supposed to kill people!"

"Yeah? Well maybe we're getting sick of the hero business?! We save these idiots all the time and what's our reward? They try to turn us in to the police under false allegations!"

"Not everyone believes that and I am going to clear your name on this. But none of that excuses what you almost did! Natsu you're just confirming what Gajeel is accusing you of being!"

"Whatever. He probably won't be accusing us of anything anymore."

"What does that mean?"

"None of your business."

"What did you do? Did you hurt him?"

"Not as bad as we hurt Laxus."

"What?! You attacked them!"

"Why so upset? You don't like either one of them."

"That doesn't mean I want them harmed! Especially Gajeel who happens to be my boss and brother to a certain friend of ours!"

"You mean Juvia? I know they're related. She was there."

"She was?" Gray felt his shock start to become anger. "I swear Natsu if you've hurt her in anyway I'll-"

"Relax bro I ran out as soon as she showed up so you can drop the whole knight in shining armor act."

"Natsu you need to get that suit off. It's changing you and not for the better! I gave Erza a sample of that stuff to study and she said it's alive."

"A living suit? That's just crazy."

"Oh so you don't believe it's alive?"

"No we don't."

"Then why have you been referring to yourself as we?"

"What?"

"When you talk about yourself you say we instead of I. Have you not noticed that?"

Natsu stopped and thought for a moment. Had he really been referring to himself as more than one person this whole time? He has. So did that mean this suit was alive?

"I guess that would explain the voices." Natsu mumbled.

"What voices?" Gray asked.

"No. It's nothing."

"Natsu is that thing talking to you in someway? Erza said it had brain waves. Oh my God it's not just on your body it's in your head too isn't?! You need to get that stuff off now!"

"You know what your problem is? You're just jealous! Jealous that I'm more powerful than you and that I'm not afraid to push the boundaries!"

"Are you even listening to yourself?! What you call pushing the boundaries I and everyone else calls attempted murder! Natsu you're not thinking clearly! You need help!"

"The suit gives me all the help I need. So I don't need you anymore." Natsu then went out the window. "Catch you later goody-goody!"

"Natsu wait!"

Again Gray tried to chase Natsu down but like before his friend soon to-be ex friend gave him the slip.

"Oh this is worse than I thought." Gray said. "I have to find someway to get through to him. Maybe if I clear up this whole bounty thing he might listen to me. I hope."

With that idea in mind, Gray changed back into his regular clothes and hurried down to the daily news station. Meanwhile Natsu had finally stopped somewhere to change back into his normal appearance. But he started feeling a little conflicted about what had happened back there. He had tried to kill a citizen and he didn't feel any remorse for it. That wasn't like him. And now that he thought about it this ooze did have a way of whispering things into his mind. What if Gray was right? What if this stuff was changing him for the worse?

Unfortunately before he could dwell on it anymore he spotted Lucy sitting on a bench and talking over the phone. She sounded very upset.

"But you said you would come." She said. "Well can't you just get someone else to do it?...No...No I understand...Uh-huh...Yeah I'll talk to you later. Bye."

She hung up and huffed in frustration. Seeing an opportunity, Natsu made himself visible.

"Hey Lucy." He greeted.

"Oh hi Natsu. I didn't see you there." She said.

"Everything okay? You sounded pretty disappointed about something."

"Oh you heard that?"

"I didn't mean to eves drop."

"No it's okay. I wasn't exactly being discreet about how I felt."

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

"It's nothing really. It's just that Juvia invited me to see her show tonight and Loke said he would be my date. I've always wanted to see a live theater production so you can imagine how excited I was but something came up with his classes and he can't make it."

"Oh that's too bad." He said feigning sadness. "You know I'm going to see Juvia's show tonight too. Alone."

"Really? Isn't Gray going with you?"

"We're not exactly speaking to each other right now. We had a fight."

"Oh that's terrible. Will you be able make up?"

"I'm sure he'll come around but since we're both going to the show alone I was wondering if maybe we could go together? As friends."

"Sure I'd like that. Pick me up at seven?"

"I'll be there."

"Great. See you then."

She smiled and hurried off to her next class. Later when all classes ended she met up with Juvia to wish her luck on her performance.

"I'm so nervous." The bluenette told her. "It's my first starring role."

"I'm sure you'll do great." Lucy said. "Natsu and I will be cheering you on the whole time."

"Natsu? I thought Loke was taking you?"

"He cancelled due to late night classes so Natsu offered to take me. Isn't he the sweetest?"

Now far be it for Juvia to be one to get in the way of a good friendship or romantic relationship but after seeing Natsu attack her brother she wasn't sure if it was a good idea for anyone to be around him while he was going through this mood of his.

"Lucy." Juvia said cautiously. "Can I...Can I give you some advice?"

"What about?"

"I think...I don't think you should let Natsu take you. At least not just you alone. Maybe invite someone else to come with you two."

"Why?"

"Well he's...He's been acting a little different lately and I think something is very wrong. I don't know what it is but maybe you should consider going with someone else?"

"Juvia this is Natsu you're talking about." Lucy chuckled. "He'd never hurt a fly."

At first Lucy assumed Juvia was joking but the look on her friend's face told her that she was being completely sincere. Which worried the blonde. Was something wrong with Natsu? He seemed perfectly fine when he spoke to her earlier but then again something did seem a little off about him.

"Just be careful okay?" Juvia asked.

"Okay."
