Special News Report

The cold weather has receded and many are satisfied to no longer be under such cold conditions. However, trouble still occurs as the drastic weather has damaged crops, buildings, with some dying due to unfortunate events. However it seems more unusual storms are occurring.

An unusual massive storm has popped out of the Darklands and seems to be moving despite many scientists stating such a pattern happening is impossible. Many in the moving storm's path were evacuated with Sebben himself along with other leaders aiding these movements. The small population of Nowhere is also being told to move out as the storm is headed toward them.

Word also has it that many Grimm are in this storm somehow, and people are told to be careful now.

It seems the strange weather has been letting up, and things are going back to normal now. However, it seems something interesting has caught the ears of Salem as her members and allies were now in her room with a report to give in. One that interested her a bit after the encounter with that girl, Nyx and the deal made. One that also made even her group aware of it.

"...the amount of Grimm sighted is both staggering and unnerving with an immediate call for evacuation to any of the towns within range. It has been confirmed this...Grimm army is directly marching towards Nowhere Kansas."

Watts paused the image of the Grimm army for everyone to see. "This has been blasted all over the local news networks. I've managed to pick up a dozen different recordings and pictures of this army and I have identified a few Grimm similar to what is seen on Remnant with some being...more unique."

Giant Toads shooting projectiles from their backs like volcanoes.

Manta like Grimm taking to the skies like giant bats.

Speaking of, there were some bat like Grimm too.

Grimm resembles these dinosaur animals that were wiped out millions of years ago that looked extremely dangerous.

"That's one word for it. Are these actual plant-like Grimm?" Scorpia asked, holding up her tablet. "Never seen these before."

"They're called Wickermen and they are very dangerous. Not only do they look like walking trees but they can disguise them as trees. Granted the bark would still be black but take away that and you wouldn't tell the difference. They can stay hidden for hundreds, maybe thousands of years and keep growing in all that time." Catra explained, glancing at her partner. "Not to mention they like setting themselves on fire."

"Oh goody!" Tyrian clapped his hands. "I even heard of another Grimm that I think was called a dog?"

"Dog?" Cinder looked at Tyrian who shrugged.

"Wasn't really listening to the news then." Tyrian chuckles. "Just that it's a dog, and has been killing Huntsmen in Japan. How sweet!"

"But why does this army even exist?" Hazel asked the most important question. "And who is controlling them?"

Catra glanced warily at Salem. "So...this is the part where I ask an obvious yet likely dumb question. But-"

"Am I the one controlling them?" Salem asked rhetorically. "I will admit to having created similar armies in the past where I'm from. However, for this one...No, it is not me."

Everyone became silent at that.

Salem just admitted to not being responsible for the creation of this Grimm army that was on the march and would come close to their hideout in the coming days.

"But then...Who or what is doing this?" Cinder dared to ask.

Who or what indeed. If Salem were to go by what she had learned of this world she had to consider that the beings known as the Fallen were responsible for this. If so they were making a huge move by assembling an army this large but for what purpose?

Nowhere.

"Watts, it was mentioned by Sebben that the heroes were assembling a large team to deal with a man named Van Kleiss who is hiding in Nowhere." Salem recalled. "And that this Van Kleiss has a portal machine similar to yours."

Watts nodded. "Yes. I recall you wishing for us to go there and investigate some time ago."

"If this army is moving to Nowhere where this same machine exists then it is likely Van Kleiss is the target." Salem reasoned. "A battle between the strongest heroes and hunters and Van Kleiss with this army of Grimm on the way...They intend to massacre whoever survives."

It was a reasonable conclusion.

She herself had used similar tactics in the past but given the strength of the Justice Friends there would have be extremely powerful Grimm to accomplish that, especially with a god as one of the members.

But was it the only one?

Was there something else going on here that she had yet to understand?

That's when she felt a presence by her side and looked to see Edel had appeared next to her. "Edel."

Everyone else fidgeted as the void girl approached without making a sound. She held up her black pearl for Salem to see and in it Salem could see what looked like a gem glowing bright, taking the form of a heart. The image then zoomed out to show the mountains of Nowhere.

Salem narrowed her eyes. "Are you saying something is there, Edel?"

"...Heart." Edel answered in her soft whispery voice. "The first of the twelve has been found. All will go to seek it."

"What is she babbling about?" Bandit Princess grumbled.

First of the Twelve?

Salem's eyes widened as she remembered the legend she had looked up when she first learned of Sebben's ability to see the future with what he had. "A Spiral Gem...That's what you are saying isn't it, Edel?"

That caught everyone's attention. Especially the two Satyra members, who hadn't even believed in the tales of the Spiral Gems up until Salem told them.

"These Spiral Gems are similar to the Relics but exist in larger numbers in this world. One of them represents Heart." Salem recalled the legend. "If there is indeed one buried somewhere in those mountains it would make sense that everyone would be rushing to find it first." Salem then smiled. "Tyrian."

"Yes, my lady." Tyrian kneeled.

"I want you to go to Nowhere and see if you can accomplish two goals." Salem held two fingers. One finger going down. "The first is to observe the fighters. No matter how powerful, everyone has a weakness. Watch closely who fights, their abilities, their capabilities, and so on." Tyrian gleefully nodded and Salem then lowered her second finger. "The second is more important however. Go enter this Van Kleiss's lab and get any form of data on his portal. Watts."

Watts walked over to Tyrian and handed him a USB drive. "Download any potential data you have here." he then headed Tyrian a scroll. "And take as many pictures as well. Even if we can't get everything, something is better than nothing."

"It shall be done my Queen." Tyian says as he then laughs while rushing out the window. Literally as he crashed through it when a Nevermore caught him and began flying him toward Nowhere. As everyone watched Salem smiled.

While she doubted she'd get this Heart Gem, she had no desire for it either as she simply wishes for the power of the portal. After all, no doubt in Remnant Ozpin and his cronies were making their defenses set and were happily preparing that Salem was gone.

"Well, this is awkward." Marrow says aloud as he and everybody else were now boarded on the strange vessel. And by boarded, he meant they were all trapped in some room because they second they entered and tried opening the door, the know didn't even twist. Meaning everybody was trapped in this room.

"I suppose it makes sense." Ironwood sighs. "Just as we are wary of them, they are wary of us."

"But why?" Penny asks innocently. "Everybody should know Atlas is the good guys."

"Considering the Fall of Beacon and the hit to our reputation, not exactly." Vine brings up the topic. A few flinching as everyone here knew recalled how ever since the Fall of Beacon, the world threw a suspicious look at Atlas. More so since it was their machines that did the dirty work. Or should they say, Salem's work.

"Either way, I guess this is better than on the ship." Elm gives her opinion of the situation. "Now we don't have to worry about drowning."

"But what about the information we have onboard?" Winter points out. "We still don't know who these people are." Or if they'll take anything from the sip. Everybody only having their weapons on them and their prisoner who was tranqued and now tied up near them on the ground.

"Don't worry about that." Pietro chuckles. "I wiped any relevant data on the ship, so they'll be getting nothing."

"Then that just leaves us trapped here." Harriet points out. Her special weapons then come out and cover her arms as she then cracks her knuckles. "I say we bust out of here."

"Not a good idea." Clover reprimands Harriet who sulks. "Unless these people do something bad to us, then for all we know they're just innocent people. We don't wanna hurt civilians, do we?"

"Then we wait." Ironwood says. "While I won't say we let down our guards, we also do nothing to gain animosity from them. Though," Ironwood then eyed a single camera in the corner of the room. "I do hope we get an answer soon."

"Same here." The man then looked at the group he sent to investigate the ship from the camera looking at them. Particularly the man with the beard. "So then, any answers we have."

"Not much." A woman says. "It seems all data on the ship's servers has been deleted. We have nothing on them."

"And we have no idea where they come from." Another man says. "We checked their ship. The tech and supplies they have have similarities to our world...but also different enough to not know what company or organization it comes from."

"I see." The man in charge says as he taps his chin. "Then it is indeed safe to say that they come from another world, but were wary enough to delete any form of records from their ship." The man then looked at the monitor showing the people inside the room. Particularly of one man. "Except for him. Mermaid Man, was it?"

"Yep." Another dude says as he gets the files on Mermaid Man. "No idea how they captured him. Most likely they fought and somehow beat him."

"We should probably return him to where he belongs." A woman speaks up as she gives her opinion. " We do not need for Mermaid Man's 'people' to attack us for kidnapping their so-called 'hero'." The woman then rolls her eyes. "Savages."

"I'll say." Someone, who wasn't even human let aside from earth with tentacles agrees. "They're as bad as the group from the Denalla System I once went to in space. Attacking with no questions asked."

"Moving on," Another person then asks. "The real thing we should be asking, what do we do with them. What says you...M.O.M?"

A nearby monitor then changed, showing a certain woman who was informed of these events. Having gotten the information she needed and now looked at the people inside the ship who swiftly paid attention to her. The woman herself sighing before looking serious.

"What information do we have on them?"

"Not much." The man in charge of the operation shrugs. "We believe they come from an alternative universe due to the portal. But other than that, nothing aside from the fact they use technology similar to earth, they have Dust, and somehow they captured Mermaid Man."

M.O.M rubbed her forehead. "Aside from releasing Mermaid Man, do these travelers show any form of hostility towards us?"

"None that we can see." The man tells her. "They seem to be accepting of their situation, but like us are suspicious and seem ready for a fight." M.O.M can understand that. These people who come from another world must be wary of anything they don't understand. Though this led to an interesting question now.

"What of the world they come from. The portal. It's Van Kleiss's, is it not." Ever since that mad scientist has been opening portals all over, it's been causing energy reading stop be detected by those who had the proper equipment. The portal in the ocean, it has the same energy signatures of Van Kleiss's. Yet that only led some to question why it's even there, and more importantly, how it's still there. The man had an answer.

"After observing the portal these past few days with caution, we believe that an irregularity has occurred with Van Kleiss." He explains himself nodding toward a crew member who began sending the information they had to M.O.M. "While we do not know the full answer, somehow the portal here has stabilized itself and while we believe Van Kleiss is involved, our observation proves he doesn't even know of this portal."

"In other words...an accident?"

"Considering how he's causing slight damage to our universe without even realizing it, I say yes." Van Kleiss was a genius. There's no denying that. However while he seemed smart enough to build a portal to lead to other dimensions, he clearly wasn't smart or aware of the caution and restraints needed to ensure a dimensional portal doesn't cause damage to the universe. Which it did.

"Hm?" M.O.M began thinking a little, of what this could entail. A portal that led to another world no doubt, yet with nothing involving Van Kleiss. Yet there was still danger as they had no idea what world exactly the portal connected them to.

Thanks to Sebben, the Center has categorized many of the dimensional displaced here in this world. Their worlds as they were told, didn't seem as dangerous as their own with some believing and even saying them to be 'weaker' due to a lack of threats like Sammael or Vilgax they had. Those people who said such were fools in M.O.M's mind. Just because those other worlds the displaced came from didn't have as many threats as their earth, didn't mean the dangers can't affect them.

The one called Raven had informed them of her father, a literal dimensional demon that could destroy worlds by simply trying.

The Digimons held evil Digimon of sorts that were capable of wreaking havoc not just in the digital world, but reality itself.

The Super Boy and Artemis admitted to having a band of countless villains working together to take down heroes.

Just because some dimensions didn't have as dangerous threats like Sammael, didn't mean there weren't other dimensions that didn't have any. Some of M.O.M's agents inform her of worlds that held beings that could wipe out their planet and make Sammael look like a joke. Him, a joke?!

This meant they had to see if this portal led to a world they could handle...or one that needed to be dealt with swiftly.

"Keep an eye on these people for now but treat them well." then gives her orders. "But send in drones to see what lies on the other side of the portal. We need to assess if it's a threat to us as well and what it has."

"Understood." The man nodded as the screen then turned off. He then looks at a few workers and said, "You heard her. Keep an eye on the dimensional displaced but take care of them. The rest of us will see what's behind that portal."

"Yes sir." With orders given, the men and women left to do their tasks. The man himself then looking past the window where the portal is. One that showed the unknown and uncertainty they were in. Making a gesture, those manning the controls nodded and they pushed a few buttons as the ship both turned invisible and the drones in the ship left and went through the portal.

Naturally the signal died off instantly, but the command was obvious. To just record, get pictures, and then return back. Nothing more nothing less. This was a simple reconsasince after all. The man also had to figure out how to get Mermaid Man and deal with his situation. Either way, things should be calm now for the time being.

Hopefully it'll stay that way.

It had taken a few days of travel, but eventually the group had gotten on a train. One that would lead to Argus, where everybody could then travel to Atlas soon after. To meet James Ironwood and give him information of what has been going on and state what they knew.

"Do you really think it'll be that easy?" Jaune then asks Qrow, as the two relax on the train. "The trip to Atlas."

"Pretty sure it will be." Qrow says as he leans back and puts both hands behind his head. "I mean, once we get to Argus we can relax, drink a little, the go to the Atlas base station there and get their help to travel to Jimmy. I mean, it should be easy."

"I guess." Jaune answers back. "Though...where are we going to stay at."

This made Qrow pause a bit as he then sighed. "Yep." He mutters. "Haven't thought of that." Qrow then looks at Oscar who's reading and says, "Hey Oscar. Can you ask Oz if he has some place in Argus we can stay at."

"Huh?" Oscar blinks a bit. "Oh, um. Hold on a second." While the young man says nothing, Jaune and Qrow knew he must be speaking to Ozpin mentally. Jaune himself then looking at the others which was Ren sitting quietly while Nora played a game. Team RWBY in another cart of the train hanging out. While this was happening, Jaune had a thought.

'Actually...doesn't she live there?' Jaune then smiled awkwardly. Worst case scenario, he knew a place the gang could stay at. Though...it'd be weird to go up and ask them why he's there and junk with a bunch of people with him. Yep. That'll be awkward.

"Got it." Oscar suddenly spoke and turned to Qrow and Jaune, an answer with him already. "According to Ozpin, he does-" though before the boy could finish, suddenly a loud bang could be heard and the very cart shaking. Some people panicked and worried if the train was under attack.

Qrow got up and tried looking out the window. Pondering if it was Grimm as that is a known fact that the creatures do attack stuff like planes, boats, and of course trains. Yet he didn't see anything at all, with the window's positioning and lack to be opened not helping.

"Damn." Qrow says as another shaking occurs. "Just what's happening?"

Then, a noise can be heard. Not a scream though or even a growl. Just a familiar one that only RWBY, JN_R, alongside Oscar and Qrow knew. "Bastards!" Another shaking is heard! "I'll kill you!"

Qrow then punched the window hard breaking it and stuck his head out the window. Where there, he saw what was causing the shaking and made him groan. "Shit."

Ganesh has returned with Grimm following his anger. The machine looked none pleased and Qrow just grabbed his sword. "This sucks."

So much for relaxation.

So we learn a few things.

First, Salem is sending Tyrian to spy on the upcoming battle, so you might see him there who'll know doubt be shocked by what he witnesses. Mind will be blown. And a shame, but the deal Salem made with Nyx and our fuzzy cat will be a secret for now.

Next we have the Center appear here from Accelerators and are naturally worried where the portal leads to. Up until now we've seen the displaced wander GrimmFall and see it's wonders, horrors, and the great threats it possesses. Now it's the reverse as it's GrimmFall fearing rightfully if the portal to Remnant leads to something very bad. No need to have another problem there.

And finally, we'll be going back to Remnant for a bit as our heroes face an angry Ganeesh. Final battle yo!
