Dimension GL-3
There are many worlds out there, but none as much as the countless worlds known as planet earth. Being seen in countless universes with some staying ordinary or perhaps wielding something extraordinary.
On this earth, there is a war of unknown purpose occuring. While the goal and purpose of the war is only known to the higher-ups, to others it is simply a battle that must be fought. Particularly against the group known as the Union. A strong army that while lacking in making their own technology, are a grave threat in reverse-engineering, hacking, programming, and their infamous nano-technology.
Their enemies, a group known as Gen: Lock with individuals placing their minds within giant machines and fight back. Their only rival being the Union's own mystery Gen: Lock user known as Nemesis.
This dimension has no magic, aura, or anything of the like. However it possesses above-average technology with shared tech given to the public such as Ether, the successor to the internet. Not to mention the Union and the Polity wield advanced military tech for different usages from aircraft to even armor-suits.
This version of earth, up until a certain point, had a similar history to most earths until it advanced past 20XX and deviated by that time. Unknown to many, this version of earth had been interviewed by two world-destroying deities to view their new experiment.
Somewhere in space, above the planet earth, on the moon there are two watchful gazes settling on the planet. They were not human, nor machine. Instead, they were being above humans and simply watched this world for their own interest. To see how this world would advance, while also being amused by the ongoings happening down below.
"It seems the Polity is losing ground. How sad." Despite saying those words, the being showed no hint of said sadness at all. One could perhaps call it cruel, though it wouldn't really match considering the being's own morality can't be judged by human standards.
"True." The second watcher nodded. "It seems this world is slowly being consumed by the Union. Unless the Polity can make a better game-changer than their Gen:Lock program, then all may be lost."
"That's not even mentioning the dark little secrets of this world. Hahahahaha! Wonderful!"
"My. I see you two are charming as ever." A voice then spoke out, one that didn't belong to the two beings. They turned to the source of the voice, ready to fight. Their past was far from clean, and as such had a few enemies that went after them. Well, whatever enemies they had left. "Woah there." One that then raised his hands grinning. "No need to fear, I come here in peace."
Walking on the moon, was a man. Not a human of course, as humans-in most worlds-had no blue skin and obviously needed air to breathe. This one having a suit and glasses, and a strong body with a smirk on his lips. His glasses then reflected who he was meeting. Two individuals, one of dark and one of light.
The Brother Gods.
"And...you are?" The God of Light asked, but not putting down his hand. Just in case. The God of Darkness doing the same though clearly more eager for a fight than Light.
"Just call me the Guardian. And I'm here just to talk about your old experiment." The Guardian then told them. The two at first confused, as they weren't sure what this man was even talking about. Though to be fair, they had done many experiments over the years. That wasn't what mattered though.
"How did you find us?" The God of Light demanded, as the brothers normally did their actions outside of view. Not wanting to be bothered if they could help out. The Guardian grinned a little.
"Just had a little help from a nice friend.
…
…
The Guardian stepped through his portal. Knowing the only way to find the Brothers without wasting time, is to just locate one of the few he knew that were great at seeing things. The Azure Guardian of Time entering a strange place where he detected the signature of the man, and looked around.
"Woah." He then said as his eyes slightly widened. Information telling him of what occurred in this dimension. "Going against an Absolute Point/Nexus Event...not pretty at all." He could already see the Green Guardian fuming if she saw this, as an entire dimension was destroyed and sent into the void. Except for this one small pocket dimension that held it's little prisoner.
"And you are?" Along with the person he needed, as the Guardian turned and chuckled. "Hey man, nice to see you." He then waved his hand. "And can you tell your buddy to put his hands down. I'd rather not fight someone today." Especially the guy who had enough power to actually fight Gods.
The person nodded and the prisoner agreed. It seems he interrupted them, particularly what appeared to be a game of cards. Nearby is a few items like a table, fridge, and a small bubble holding two highly dangerous individuals fighting for the fabled Infinity Stones for all eternity.
He's seen weirder.
"So," The prisoner then looked at his friend. "Care to tell me who this guy is." Before the man could say, the Guardian decided to introduce himself.
"Just call me the Guardian Stephen Strange." The Guardian said as he looked at none other than the Watcher. A powerful being who, while primarily setting himself in the multiverse section commonly known as Marvel, is also a great finder. "I came here to ask for help. I'll then be on my way out."
"Hm." The Watcher seemed to think this over a bit. Narrowing his eyes. "I am uncertain." He then said, "I know where you come from, and while many details escape my grasp, I know of the main ones. Particularly of individuals who are abusing space-time for their own purposes."
Ah yes. Van Kleiss. The Guardian frowned at that, as he and others were doing their best to ensure that the space of Dimension GF-007 wasn't breached beyond damage by that man's reckless actions. He could also see why the Watcher was rather apprehensive of aiding him. After all, there could be a chance, a 'what if' if you will, that Dimension GF could end up affecting this set of the multiverse known as the MCU.
"Do not worry," The Guardian then spoke. "I have no intention of allowing my dimensions problems to spill out in yours."
"Even though your dimension, even if not by your will, has been kidnapping and causing interference from other dimensions." Such as the multiverse known as DC, and others beyond it. Making those who ran those universes doing their best to heal the 'cracks' forming around it. While also making the barriers around dimensions weakening. All good points to not help the Guardian. Thankfully, he knew how to talk.
"I get it, our dimension has been causing problems, even if it isn't by our own will." The Guardian also swore he'll video record Van Kleiss's defeat for all the problems he kept causing. "However, our world is already doing it's best to handle it. Not to mention those from the other dimensions are actually sending out their own help and willing to save those kidnapped."
The Watcher thought about this, and began considering. He then sighed. "Very well. After a certain...incident," Stephen chuckled. "I have realized now that taking action can be necessary. Say what you will."
"Excellent." The Guardian grinned. "I just need you to locate these two for me." The Guardian then showed an image of the Brother Gods with the Watcher nodding. He then created a portal and pointed after a full minute of searching.
"There you go. I wish you luck."
"Got it. Thanks man." Then like so the Guardian was gone.
…
…
"Of course the peeping tomb found us." The God of Darkness mutters, and if he had eyes he'd be rolling them. "Bastard."
The God of Light on the other hand, was just interested in something else. "You mentioned something about other worlds."
"Now you're getting it." The Guardian laughed. "See, here's the thing. The world I watch over is having problems. And it doesn't help when more and more problems keep on coming." Making a huge, complicated mess that did nobody good at all. "And one of those problems belongs to you."
"That doesn't make sense." Light didn't understand. "We have no involvement with your world, wherever it is."
"It was more of an accident." The Guardian then proceeded to show the two Brothers what occurred. How it showed a speedy blue hedgehog dropping a ring in an old familiar world. Where years later it would be picked up by a manipulator, and then used and through sheer coincidence the portal mixed with Van Kleiss's own and brought the manipulator and her own allies into the world the Guardian came from. Now it was making sense.
"Then deal with it." With the God of Darkness showing no sympathy at all. Why would he? After all, not like he or his brother caused this. "From what I see, you or whoever runs this dimension can just deal with her."
"True." The God of Light agreed, as he observed the world the Guardian came from now that he knew where to look. Getting the knowledge needed to figure it out. "From what I see, while a threat Salem can easily be dealt with by your world's heroes and Huntsmen. I see no need to involve us."
"Unlike you two, my group that I belong to don't really intervene." The Guardian points out to the brothers. "Plus, the heroes are busy with a lot of things. So much that they don't have time to deal with Sslem at all."
"Again, not seeing how it's our problem." Dark refutes again. "Plus, the way I see it, even if she causes damage to the lambs she'll eventually get caught, beaten, or potentially killed."
"A few lives may be lost by her hands, but from what I see she'll be stopped unless she somehow escapes the hero's grasps." Light nodded. "Either way, I see no reason for my brother or I to get involved. Unless," The God of Light then realized something. "There's more to you asking us for aid against Salem."
"Mmmmm right about true." The Guardian then admits. "Alright I'll admit it, while some lives will be killed that's no big deal. A shame, but I'm used to seeing blood spilled across the eras. And while it'll be good if Salem is jailed or killed, if she escapes then not problematic so long as she doesn't join him or actually achieves a certain future I saw."
"Then what's the real reason you called us?" Dark asked, wanting to get this over with already.
"This." The Guardian then showed two images. Two images revealing two portals connecting back all the way to Remnant itself. "Because of Van Kleiss's botch up, he has created two portals that are connected to your old playground, Remnant. A world might I add, has an entire planet of Grimm you left behind."
The God of Darkness shrugged. Light on the other hand now knew what the Guardian wanted. "You wish for us to get rid of these portals."
"As I said, the world I reside in has too many problems. And it'll be very bad if one of the threats there discovers Remnant, and realizes he now has a planetary army of Grimm." Dimension GF's earth had many Grimm, but Remnant's Grimm actually outnumbered the entire population on earth itself. Sure these Grimm weren't as unique or strong as GF's versions, but quantity can surpass quality in it's own way. Something Sammael would enjoy.
The Guardian already saw a potential future of Sammael discovering Remnant.
Revealing a future where he used that planetary army to cover entire continents where only the weak will die with just the powerful heroes and Huntsmen remaining. Well, until they get too tired and be killed by Sammael. Oddly, in that future Salem will join the side of good along with other former villains. They do say the apocalypse brings the best in people...most of the time. But what was more worrying, is that the future he saw also revealed Sammael finding the Relics the Brothers made.
Last thing anybody wanted was Sammael getting more power like that.
"Hm." Light tapped his chin a bit. "So you just want us to close the portal, is that it?"
"More or less." Yeah Salem will be then stuck on earth, but one way or another she'll eventually be stopped. Granted that also meant Ganeesh would be stuck there in Remnant, and the Ace-Ops also on earth, but nothing that would cause too much damage. Ultimately, this would ensure that many lives weren't lost.
"I can see now why you're asking us, but why not just close the portals on your end?" Light asked the Guardian why his world can't just do the deed himself.
"Ha. Please." The Guardian snorted. "While there are some geniuses on earth that could probably close those portals, they're busy." Not to mention one mistake and those portals can be closed...while accidentally creating a massive explosion that'll cause nasty radiation to linger.
The Brother Gods looked at one another. Thinking over this information. Quite frankly, they didn't really feel the urge to help out, as while their old experiment is involved, it wasn't as if they caused it. Not to mention from what they saw, Salem and the portals could properly be handled and didn't even need their aid. They were just asked because they could do the job much quicker without problem.
'What do you think?' Light then telepathically asked Dark.
'I say forget it.' Dark responded. 'These Spiral Guardians or whatever can easily do it themselves, but due to their own non-interference. The way I see it, leave this to them.' Plus, it wasn't as if leaving those portals would cause damage to the universe. Those portals were actually safe to use compared to the ones Van Kleiss used.
'Maybe. But it's not as if we're doing anything important either. And closing those portals would be very easy.' Just a simple snap of the fingers and it'd be done. Wouldn't even cost them anything at all. Light then turned towards the Guardian. "Very well."
Then with a literal snap of Light's fingers, the portals on both worlds suddenly collapsed in on themselves.
The scientists in Japan, gasping in shock as they saw the portal they tried to figure out vanish from nowhere.
Those observing the portal in the ocean were just as surprised when the portal vanished.
Remnant and Earth were connected no more.
"You finished already? Eh, whatever." Dark then glowed brightly. "So are we done?"
"Yep." The Guardian nodded.
"Then we'll go back to observing." Light said as he and his brother then flew off into another part of the moon to continue watching the earth of this dimension, leaving the Guardian alone. Sighing as things went pretty well. The two portals were now closed, and Sammael just lost any chance to gain an army like so. Though…
The Guardian gazed into the possible future, to see just how the closing of portals can affect earth and even Remnant.
"What! It's gone?" Ironwood shouted.
"It seems we are trapped here now. Unless an opportunity comes to escape." Hazel mutters as he looks around his current area.
"Hehehehe." Tyrian laughed as he observed the massive battle occurring. Enjoying the violence. Sneaking into the lab as he then finds a damaged but still functional lab with the drive in his hand. "Now to get a little info."
"Another world?" Qrow questions Ganeesh. "Are you mad?"
"Think what you will weakling!" Ganesh roared. "But once I get the Relic of Knowledge, nothing will stop me from using its power!"
A portal opened up, and from it a massive whale with Gravity Crystals embedded in it came out roaring over the Wildlands. A Grimm not seen on earth as it overshadowed the base Salem lived in.
"This will be perfect." She grinned.
The Guardian shaked his head. What he saw wasn't a guarantee, but it seems Remnant isn't out of the game just yet. Still, he'll keep watching until the time comes. With that, the Guardian then left with business concluded.
I'm BACK! Finally hours have calmed down, and I can write this story again. This time, showing the Guardian as he finds the Brother Gods and has them close those portals permanently. But like that will get Salem and the others to just give up.
While it's not guaranteed, the future is full of surprises.
