"-bad! Things are going to hell!" A video recorder shows a terrified man. Screaming is heard in the background, while the person recording all this is fearful as he tried moving towards the isle with people all over, screaming.
Some are covered in blood.
"I'm from Japan, and I was going abroad for my studies!" The man then trips suddenly, wherever he is shakes and many people push over him while he's on the ground. A black figure could be seen from behind.
"I-I just wanted to enjoy my life." The man whimpers, as suddenly blood gushes out from behind. A bit actually hitting the camera. In the background, a black hand with claws grabs a person and rips their face off.
More people shriek, and some not out of fear. But pain.
"I didn't know THAT THING would be here!" The man cries out, tears in his eyes. More came out when a child was heard and suddenly, they stopped shouting. "Listen, to anybody that finds this. It's coming to America!" A figure comes behind the man. "I don't know why," Suddenly it looms over the man who was a weeping mess. "But you have to kill it! It's the Houn-"
Before the man could even finish, a hand gripped him and the camera fell down. It now only showed the feet of an inhumane being, and dangling legs of the camera's owner.
CRUNCH! Former owner. The body dropping and the figure then moving forward. It's feet kicking the camera where it got into the position to see none other than the Hound's back. As it continued it's killing spree onboard the plane to America.
"Hehehe. Almost there." It was night time now, and Tyrian was eating some food. Enjoying the sights of the world below him, while gazing across the horizon. Oh sure he was a remorseless killer, but even he didn't mind enjoying the sights of the new world. The only thing that can make it better was if the land was on fire and people screaming as they died. Oh well, can't have everything in life.
'Still,' Tyrian looked out at the mountains, and at the dry grounds, being natural considering Nowhere didn't hold much in terms of life. "It is quite a sight."
Long ago, before Tyrian found his calling, once he pondered of travelling the world. To escape his old life of beatings and racism, and just travel without ever looking back. In a way, kind of like a Huntsmen who could do almost whatever they wanted. Kill Grimm and travel around, all while getting paid to keep traveling. Now, Tyrian had all that after finding Salem and was in a new world as well.
One with new dangers, new Grimm, new villains. So much fun around here, aside from that stipid cat.
"Oh how I hope he's dead." Tyrian seethed a bit as he recalled the mobians move with some anger. Much as Tyrian hated to admit it, but that cat was good. Very good. Great instincts and fast reflexes, with a size that allowed him to avoid some of Tyrian's attacks all while tripping Tyrian up.
Granted, Tyrian got him near the end but he lost his tail! Oh sure the good doctor gave him a new one, a mechanical one which utilized his venom, but that didn't make Tyrian any less angry at the bastard. He hoped he was dead all right with the venom in his system.
Whatever. Right now Tyrian had his mission. Getting to Nowhere where he must get his Goddesses knowledge of the portal this Van Kleiss man had. Thankfully, the news already told Tyrian that there is an evacuation going on over there, and that heroes and Huntsmen were about to come. Granted, the public sheep didn't know of the true battle happening, but thanks to Salem, the knowledge they gained of what was coming told them what they needed to know.
"Now I just need to find a way in to get that information." Tyrian said aloud as he considered just how to bust into Van Kleiss's lab. Surely it must be guarded, and have defenses if he's this big of a threat. Meaning Tyrian can't just enter without getting caught or blasted.
As Tyrian considered how to get in, especially since he didn't know the layout, suddenly he saw a great big flash.
Vvvvvvvv! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM
"Huh?" Tyrian turned and looked. He saw smoke a great distance away and was confused. Then that confusion turned to horror as he felt an immense amount of force, wind, slam into him and the Nevermore.
The Grimm shrieked as it felt itself unable to fly properly with Tyrian falling of it's back screaming. He didn't know WHAT happened, and while Tyrian was far from a fearful man even he became a bit spooked by what just happened.
He then saw a mushroom cloud as he fell, and realized an explosion must have happened.
'But what kind of explosion can do that?' Tyrian has seen bombs before. Even set some up as well. But for one to create a mushroom cloud and send a force big enough to hit Tyiran despite being miles upon miles away...It had to be a massive explosion to generate such power.
While Tyrian was curious about this, first he needed to live. Putting some fingers in his mouth, Tyrian whistled loudly and the Nevermore heard his call. Instantly coming to him and the faunus landed on it's back. The Grimm then flying upward and back into position with Tyrian safe on it's back. Still though, the faunus found himself wondering just what happened.
" Best if I check it out." Tyrian said as he then squinted to get a good view but failing. Faunus eye-sight is good, especially at night, but it wasn't like a telescope. So Tyrian grabbed some binoculars from the bag on him and then had the Nevermore he's riding go higher in the air. Once Tyrian was at an optimal height, he then looked through the binoculars and checked to see just what happened.
"Oh boy." He then grinned as he saw a massive crater where there was nothing but ruin below the mushroom-shaped cloud. A scorch mark so large that it made Tyrian wonder if a nuke just hit the place. How very interesting. Tyrian put the binoculars away and began thinking. As cool as whatever bomb went off, it was clear that this Van Kleiss had serious firepower on his side. Granted, there is the chance this was the heroes doing as Tyrian didn't know just who launched the attack, as he wasn't even there to witness it, just the aftermath.
'But there are people nearby, so it must have been Van Kleiss or the military trying to prove themselves.' Either way, if this is Van Kleiss then he was certainly a threat Tyrian can't confront head-on. Especially if he boasted a defense that could create such a disaster.
"?" Tyrian then saw something, and he took out his binoculars again. This time he looked west and saw small dots. Helicopters if he's correct, flying in a different direction away from the explosion. Aw, they must be going to Nowhere to finish evacuating.
"Yes. That'll do." Tyrian grinned as he had the Nevermore go follow those choppers. Over twenty minutes later, he had the Nevermore fly lower until it landed. The scorpion faunus getting off and then moving on his way and rapidly. Eventually, Tyrian managed to see none other than the military aiding in the Nowhere evacuation. It made sense, what with a battle between a powerful villain and countless heroes, guiding the sheep away would be a wise choice.
'Not to mention they have so many fancy vehicles.' Tyrian grinned as he saw standard vehicles for the military. If he tried to fly towards the site of the battle, chances were he'd be shot down. More so since he would be riding on a Nevermore which is a good way to get the heroes to just shoot it down including him. So why not pretend to be the help.
Sneaking around, Tyrian went to get a good position for his target. While he considered pretending to be a Huntsman, since he had been recorded chances were these people might recognize him. Maybe they won't but he couldn't risk failure and disappoint his queen. Tyrian then crept closer and then put on his hood and wrapped his tail around him, and then decided to take a small chance to get closer.
Nowhere didn't have much in terms of cover, and as such Tyrian would have to walk towards the town without any form of sneakery. Instead, he wrapped a bandanna over his lower face and moved forward and decided to just walk towards the group. No point in hiding now, and instead he had to take a gamble while hoping this small disguise of his would at least delay any chance of these fools if they did know his face.
As he walked closer to the town, Tyrian saw the military officers taking the people onto trucks. To send them away with the citizens having packs, water bottles, and other small things they had with them. Many of them did not look happy, and were reluctant to leave their home. Still, it seemed they at least knew they either stay, or die.
Tyrian walked closer, until eventually a soldier spotted him. "Hey," He called out. "Who are you?"
"Here to help!" Tyrian called out. "I'm a Huntsmen, and received a call to aid."
"Aid?" The soldier then nodded. "Right. I heard Sebben gave out a message to all Huntsmen to get here, when the army of Grimm arrives." Oh, really? Now that was convenient. Still, Tyrian would rather be safe and kept his composure, acting like a natural Huntsman.
"Indeed I have." Tyrian told the man, holding his arm out in which the soldier grabbed. Shaking it. Oh how he wished he could rip it off. "I was nearby when I got the message, and travelled here. Although…" Tyrian turned towards the mushroom cloud. "It seems some stuff has occurred."
"Like you wouldn't know it." The soldier then spat.
"Trouble?"
"Like you wouldn't believe it." The soldier muttered. "POINT and some other assholes got a bunch of soldiers to help in the fight. Some of them were my friends." The man's fist clenched itself. "And they all got killed without even getting a punch in! The bastard holed up here wiped them out with...Something!"
So it really was Van Kleiss. Now Tyrian is glad he didn't just go over there without thinking. Otherwise he might have been part of that group.
"I did feel an explosion." Tyrian said as he then looked around and saw broken windows. "I guess you all experienced it too."
"Massive is what it was." The soldier muttered. "Anyway, there's a place for Huntsmen over there." The soldier pointed at a ship. "We got orders that any Huntsmen that comes can stay there until the Grimm army shows up while they also help with the evacuation."
"Understood." Tyrian grinned as he then went towards the ship. Things were going well.
"Hold on ma'am, you're saying...that a Grimm of yours is here on this world?" Salem called upon her personal circle. Hazel, Watts, and Cinder. The rest elsewhere including Edel, as while part of them Salem didn't want her here and just had her watch her Pearl just in case Watts blew it up. All of them came on her command where she then told them of wonderful news of what she had just learned.
"Yes indeed." Salem told them all.
"But...how?" Watts said, baffled. "From what you told us, a Grimm of yours and Cinder's little minions are somehow here, despite not having even been near the portal in the first place." When the portal exploded, Cinder's minions shouldn't have been near them at all. "Hm. Was it perhaps they were nearby?" Maybe the explosion expanded farther than Watts and the others thought. I mean, not like they were capable of seeing how big the explosion was considering the circumstances.
"So much for being a brilliant scientist." Cinder scoffed at Watts. "Even if that explosion had caught them, then why were they not with us when we came here?" After that event, all of them were transported in a forest, yet not Mercury and Emerald? It made no sense at all. Not to mention it didn't explain how they even got to this Japan place which was practically a continent away.
"It doesn't matter." Salem told them all, to silence them before they started arguing again. "What matters is that it seems we now have some allies that will soon be coming here in time."
"...coming?" Cinder spoke for everyone as they were all confused. Why would an experimental Grimm alongside Cinder's minions even be coming here? Again, they were far away and had no idea where they were located at. Salem decided to explain.
While difficult, I can command Grimm at far distances. Countless Grimm are hard, if not impossible to fully control at large distances unless I have a Seer. But a singular Grimm that was designed by me, then it's much easier." Especially considering what she had done to it. "I have the Hound coming with your allies Cinder. Though I admit, it'll take some time for them to arrive."
"On the bright side, perhaps they have knowledge of how they got here." Hazel then spoke up. "Assuming they didn't get caught in the blast and just ended up in Japan, maybe they arrived through a method we can use."
"That would make things easier I suppose." Watts agreed. "But there's no evidence they just didn't arrive and the portal they came through vanished like ours did."
"Then we just ask them what happened." Cinder rolled her eyes. "At the end, we get the knowledge they have and all is done. And I know Emerald will answer anything I ask."
"Because you trained her so well." Watts snarked.
"Moving on," Salem continued. "I want us to be prepared just in case." Salem then revealed her Seer, which showed images of old news involving none other than the Hound. "We didn't know this since we've been busy, but it seems my pet alongside the other two have been causing problems in Japan."
"Bloody ones too." Hazel sighed. "It seems Japan is spooked by your Grimm ma'am."
"As intelligent as I made it, it is still a Grimm in the end." Salem told Hazel. "While it should have avoided people, if it saw anybody that isn't aligned with us it would kill them without exception." Though it was still smart enough to escape if it faced anybody too strong. "Either way, it'll come eventually and any questions we have can be answered later. But as I said, we should be ready in case they bring their chasers onto us."
The three, particularly the Hound, are now known and public menaces. Cinder's allies, while not as infamous, were just as well known and now police and Huntsmen were after all three. As such, if they did make it here, there was a chance any chasers after them would come as well. It was low, since the three were making their way to America, but it can happen.
In a way, it actually is a good thing the battle occurring in Nowhere is happening. That'll keep most of the western Huntsmen and heroes busy instead of going after the Hound when it arrives here. With perhaps information that can be very useful. Especially with Tyrian, as he should be at Nowhere by now. So far, things were looking well for them.
But such things can of course change.
A figure can be seen walking, walking into the Wilds. They were here on a mission, while also studying the environment around them. Narrowing their eyes as they noticed a lack of animals.
"Another dead one." Live ones anyway. The area they were in showed some wolves and deer, both dead from what appeared to be a Grimm attack. While it is true Grimm attack and kill animals, that was only because of territorial disputes and not because the Grimm lusted after their deaths like humans. Unless of course the Grimm had a reason to do this.
The figure looked around and saw some lights. Actual lights. People were here, and they were likely the target. The figure then moved on.
Tyrian has made it to Nowhere. And he's waiting to get his chance to bust into Van Kleiss's lair. Better to let the heroes do their thing before he goes in for the steal. And it seems Salem has told the others about their possible allies returning, with the Hound apparently on route to them alongside Mercury and Emerald. How that happened will be explored later.
But the real kicker, someone is in the Wilds and it's unlikely they're a friend. Who they are will have to wait.
