Silver Eyes

An unknown trait held by very few in the world of Remnant. There is not much known about it other than fairy tales that merley state the Grimm fearing them. Other than this, many do not see much interest in these eyes. Unaware that they are connected to a certain being, which is also connected to another power.

One aspect of this power comes in another form known as Light for All.

Roland was surrounded. Outnumbered. Facing enemies that he knew little about from skills and abilities. One could say he's at a disadvantage with the odds against him. That should make things fair.

Without a word Roland, with quick speed, fired his bullets at the massive man. Hazel tanked them with his aura and ran at Roland. Fists raised and ready for a fight. Hazel then got within range and lunged. The last Gunslinger spun and slammed the butt of his pistol onto Hazel's left cheek. Even if Hazel didn't feel pain, the attack had a surprising amount of strength in it. Sending Hazel onto the dirt.

Fwshh!

An arrow was sent towards Roland's back.

Vmmm!

A bullet made of fire Dust was headed right at his head.

Cinder and Watts fired at the exact time Roland countered Hazel. It was a decent strategy. As most wouldn't react in time to two fast attacks. Most anyway, as Roland immediately just lifted his hand and without looking back, fired two bullets. The Fire Dust bullet exploded harmlessly in midair and the arrow was destroyed. Both shooters surprised by such a thing.

Bandit Princess was also surprised, but didn't let that stop her. "Got ya!"

She rushed at Roland in front of him. Lifting her sword and trying to cut him down. Roland immediately lifted one hand with his gun to block the attack, making the mobian smirk. While not of the highest quality, Bandit Princess's sword could cut through many things and a simple gun would hardly withstand her strike. Unfortunately for her, unnoticed by her sight a slight barrier of light could be seen protecting the gun. So when her attack struck, her sword didn't slice the weapon and continue downward.

"Hu-" Before Bandit Princess could even finish, with a click Roland already aimed his other gun at Bandit Princess's abdomen and shot three times at point blank. The shots sent Bandit Princess back while she coughed out saliva while feeling a great sting.

Sure aura could block bullets, but it could still hurt. More so at such a close range which made Bandit Princess feel like a hammer struck at her. Hazel used that opportunity to go though and attempted to bear Roland down.

The cowboy-styled Gunslinger put his guns away and raised his own fists. Then to Hazel's surprise, the man struck with his fists and blocked each of Hazel's attacks with his forearms before countering with his fist. Hazel tried to step forward and lunge with an elbow strike, but Roland grabbed that elbow and moved forward before giving a good uppercut to Hazel. Then he kicked Hazel's legs to knock him down a bit and then raised his knee up. At the same time, Roland grabbed Hazel's head and brought it down where his knee slammed into Hazel's jaw.

"Guh!" Hazel said as he felt the impact. Sure he didn't feel pain, however Hazel could still feel forms of feeling of sorts such as impact and temperature. So while Hazel didn't feel pain, he definitely knew his jaw cracked despite having aura.

'This man,' Hazel thought as Roland then slammed the sole of his foot on Hazel's face which sent him to the nearest building wall. 'He's not as weak as he appears.'

As for Roland, he turned around and began running. Arrows that would have slammed into his back now hit the ground with Roland headed toward Cinder. 'Such speed.' Cinder thought as she saw Roland already near the building she was at. 'Better aim for the legs.'

Cinder then began firing her arrows at Roland while occasionally throwing a dagger. Ever since losing her Maiden powers, Cinder decided to train more on her aiming skills such as her bows, and she certainly has improved. However, to Cinder's frustrations the man either avoided her attacks or simply shot them down while reloading, all while keeping his calm.

"Fine then." Cinder whispers as she gets rid of her bow. "Let's see how you do up-close and personal." Cinder then jumped down the building and creates a pair of swords. The second she landed Cinder attempted to slice at Roland's flesh itself.

The man just used his guns to somehow block all her blows before then trying to fore at her. Narrowing her eyes, Cinder focused her aura and predicted the path of the bullet. So when the bullet fired she then blocked them with an aura-guard formed from the palm of her hand, something she used once when Ruby fired at her in that Bullhead when she was after Torchwick.

Roland, while he didn't show it, was a bit impressed by that. Not a lot of people can predict a bullet's path in such a short time-span. However, he didn't let that stop him as he also became aware of Bandit Princess coming at him with rage in her eyes. Roland first stepped forward and spun his gun while attempting to hit Cinder with it, which she predictably dodged. The Gunslinger then leaped to the left with Bandit Princess, who had attempted to stab him from behind, was now about to stab Cinder.

"Woah!" Bandit Princess said while Cinder growled as she used her Grimm hand to stop the blade from hitting her.

"Don't get in my way you fool." Cinder shoved the weapon back at Bandit Princess who frowned.

"Can it bitch." She then insulted Cinder who scowled. "Like hell I was-" A click was heard and both girls instantly knew who it was. Roland used their small argument to fire his gun directly at their heads. Oh sure their aura protected them from their brains getting splattered, thus their lives were saved. But having a metal bullet at such close range slamming into a person tended to make said person hiss in agony while aura began to heal their new bruises.

Roland then twisted to see Watts who visibly flinched and stepped back. The doctor then firing his Dust bullets at Roland who rolled his eyes. Unlike the girl, this one clearly had little skill in proper aiming. All it took was a few small steps with minimal movement to avoid them as Roland then ran to get the doctor.

Instead, he had to back-flip as Hazel came in.

He looked far from pleased, with Hazel then trying to grab Roland in anyway he can. "Get back here." He said as he stretched his hand to grab Roland, only to get a bullet in the forehead as a response. "Don't think such things can harm me!"

'More like can't hurt you.' Roland thought as he avoided getting captured by this man. He didn't know how, but somehow this guy could keep moving even when getting shot at. He must have a very high-tolerance of pain to keep on going without even slowing down when getting harmed.

As for Watts, he began trying to predict Roland's movements but couldn't. "Just who is this man?" Watts said to himself as he saw how well Roland was doing against Hazel. The doctor then looked down and saw the Grimm, where he then made a hand response at them. "Well," He then spoke while waving his hand at Roland. "Get him!"

The Grimm howled in response as they headed toward Roland. Hazel saw this and moved back leaving Roland to deal with the Grimm. Reeling there was quite a bit of them, Roland decided to fire his Light of All bullets instead. Shooting them at the Grimm with both guns, each bullet met its mark. In this case, the Grimm's head as Roland had no time to deal with them.

Edel made her move in that instant. She appeared behind Roland, and while he sensed her presence the Grimm kept him a bit occupied as he gave a scowl. Edel showed no expression as she held her pearl which hovered between her own hands. In an instant Edel began to try and drain Roland's aura, who wheezed lightly.

'Nasty little thing.' Roland thought as he felt himself weakening a bit from the drain. Glaring as he still kept on firing at the Grimm.

"Hra!" With Hazel then coming forward, only with a change in him.

"Hm?" Roland tilted his head a bit. Seeing literal Dust crystals, Lightning Dust, implanted in the man's own shoulders. 'I guess even I can still see interesting things.' Hazel instantly sucker punched Roland in the gut.

The Gunslinger was flying in the air, and reeling a bit from the blow. Still, he didn't let a bit of stomach pain slow down his ability to fight back. As he was in the air, Roland twisted himself and aimed his gun at Watt's direction. The doctor attempted to get away, already knowing what a good shot Roland was. Watts underestimated just how fast Roland is too. The man quickly firing, not a regular bullet, but a Dust one that was imbued with the explosive type. Hitting a few inches away from Watts but gave a mighty explosion that sent the doctor reeling.

Watts then fell down the building and hit the ground hard. His head then getting slammed by some broken bricks onto the head, knocking him out.

"I have you now." Cinder took advantage of Roland being in the air. "Let's see you get away from this!" Cinder's own Grimm limb extended greatly towards the Gunslinger. While Roland could move to a certain degree in the air, it wasn't as if he could run or dodge easily while falling. He could also forget teleporting as doing that while freefalling isn't easy.

Not that he needed it of course. "Quite the limb you have there." While quite rare, Roland has heard stories of humans who had grafted limb parts on them. Having once heard a story of a woman who gave herself the lower-body of a spider, Arachne of Greek mythology. "To bad it makes you weak."

With that comment, Roland shot the Light For All bullet at Cinder. The former Maiden of course didn't think much about this. Why would she? While it's true her new limb lacked aura due to its nature, it was still more durable than normal human limbs. So when the bullet hit Cinder, she didn't expect much.

"GAHHHHHH!" Nor did she expect to feel so much pain. Falling on her knees with the others looking bewildered that Cinder of all people would cry out in such agony. Roland landed on the ground, unimpressed at Cinder's state.

"Trading your humanity for that. Of course the bullet would have such an effect." Light of All was a great power. But it's true potential could be unleashed on those with a dark taint on them, which included Grimm. Only a truly dark being could withstand these bullets, and that girl wasn't one of them. Thus why she was on the ground as the bullet he shot at her attempted to 'purify' Cinder.

Nastily.

"I'm not sure what you did," Bandit Princess shouted as she jumped up and raised her sword. "But you ain't gonna get another shot."

While boastful words, that was all her words were worth. A boast. Roland made a barrier above him and Bandit Princess shook as her sword slammed into the barrier and because of the momentum and angle degree, it snapped. While the mobian's eyes went wide at this, Edel returned in another attempt to get Roland.

Instead Roland created a flash with his new powers making Edel actually hiss in pain due to the light's effect on her physiology. The nearby Grimm weren't as lucky and actually disintegrated. Though some survived and tried to bite him down. Instead, Roland waved his hand and another flash came. It was a bit weaker though, but it did it's job. Because once the light vanished, one could see the stone statues of the Grimm.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Which Roland then shot at breaking them apart. Of course, he wasn't done with just that.

"Why you!" Bandit Princess charged and attempted to stab Roland with her broken sword. Then she tried to headbutt him. Claw at him. All were easily defended by the man and countered. Making Bandit Princess more upset as she then roared and tried to stab Roland in the eye. Having had enough, Roland decided to just put her down.

Like so, he turned and shot Bandit Princess in the eye with his Light for All bullet.

"Yahh!" Aura might protect the body very well, but protecting the eye, not so much. Or at least easily anyway, as the bullet slammed into the mobian's eye and burned at it. Bandit Princess rolling on the ground and clutching her eye as she felt the left eye go blind while also burn.

At that point Cinder got up. Rage in her eyes while still feeling the pain. Not wanting to just be on the ground, Cinder tried to attack the man as she spawned a glass sword. Roland created a spear of light and sent it at Cinder's arm. The weapon ripping through the limb, causing it to fall down and flail away while disintegrating. Leaving Cinder to screech in more agony with a few tears escaping her eyes at the anguish she felt.

"Damn." Hazel grunted as he saw what was going on. He didn't know who this man was but he was far more threatening now than he originally thought. Watts was down, Cinder was in pain, Bandit Princess had no weapon and an eye, and Edel couldn't do a thing with the Grimm also gone. Hazel was the only one left and he wasn't exactly doing good against the man. "Just who are you?" He asked.

"None of your business." Is the only response Hazel got as the man disappeared, leaving Hazel confused.

Click.

Hazel then felt an impact on the back of his head. Without knowing Roland had teleported away behind Hazel, and fired at the back of his skull. The impact making Hazel fall forward.

"Gruaaa!" With a distorted voice, Hazel then turned to Roland's surprise. Even with aura protecting his skull from exploding, such a direct hit would leave people in pain and usually grabbing their wound. Thanks to Hazel's Numbing Agent semblance though, all it did was bring a great discomfort while also telling Hazel where Roland was.

Raising his fists, Hazel slammed his fists onto the ground. An electric shockwave came from it thanks to the Dust coursing through his system. The shockwave hitting Roland who felt a slight spasm with his own fingers letting go of his guns due to his muscles and nerves forcing him to.

Hazel took that chance to take Roland down here and now. "Edel!" Hazel then called out.

Edel, while still feeling a sting, acted quickly. She came behind Roland, but instead of absorbing she released instead. Energy came out of her pearl and slammed into Roland's back and sent him forward. The Gunslinger saw Hazel then raise his fist and the gunner put his arms in an x-position.

That didn't stop Hazel from getting into a stance, filling his right arm and fist full of electrical energy, and with a roar slammed his fist onto Roland's arms. Roland felt his body being electrified a bit and his aura shimmering just a bit from a well placed punch. Hazel was definitely powerful in terms of physical strength with Roland feeling the punch through his arms bones. Thankfully, nothing broke, which included his back as Roland felt himself slamming into a building and crashing into it.

"Can't give him time to recover." Hazel muttered as he ran forward. He saw Roland's guns and flickered his gaze at Edel who nodded and grabbed them. Now that this stranger's weapons were gone, this should make him easier to deal with. Hazel's already large muscles now enlarging thanks to the Dust implanted in him.

The human wasn't going to give Roland any chance to counter.

"I gotta admit, you're definitely a strong one." Which was why it surprised Hazel that exiting the hole and running at Hazel is still a good Roland who didn't look injured. "What a waste you're using them for crime."

Hazel just roared as he then swung his right fist down. At that moment, a barrier appeared which Hazel punched at.

Crunch.

Numbing Agent. It allowed Hazel to not feel pain at all.

"Gah!" it did little however to stop Hazel from reacting when he could feel his bones breaking alongside wrist. Even if the man felt nothing towards it, that didn't mean Hazel didn't realize he messed up his body. The barrier being so strong despite it's thin look, that it used Hazel's own strength against him.

That was all Roland needed as he then allowed his body to light up again. Not only to blind Hazel, but also get Edel hissing as she vanishes away as prolonged exposure can damage her. This allowed Roland to then move forward and launch many light bullets at Hazel.

Oh sure they weren't hurting him let aside causing as much injury like that Cinder girl. However the bullets he created and launched besides him peltered Hazel and taking a drain on the man's aura. Roland then grabbed his guns with Hazel unable to do a thing, then aimed the gun and shot two bullets not at Hazel, but those Dust Crystals.

ZAP!

The crystals blew up, and to Hazel's horror his body spasmed and moved uncontrollably against his will. Muscle reflexes made him fall forward while his face twitched back and forth. Unable to command his limbs properly at all. Any attempts to get only led to Hazel falling forward as the electricity coursing through him just made him a mess while also damaging his flesh as one can see burns on his shoulders and neck from the explosion with the skin looking torched. Hazel was lucky he still had aura, otherwise he wouldn't be just rolling around silly.

Ironic that the same Dust that caused Roland to drop his guns, have now dropped Hazel out of this fight.

Either way, a quick look and one can see just who the victor is.

These individuals were good to a certain degree. However one of their greatest downfalls was that it's clear that they weren't used to working together, let aside fighting together. At least properly anyway.

'If they could, then they might have been able to land more hits.' Roland thought as he then reloaded his guns. The Gunslinger ready to end them all when suddenly, he heard more coming.

"Alright, we heard some noise and-woah!" Catra saw the mess around. "Yeesh. What happened here?" The faunus looked up and saw Roland, not knowing who he is and just knew he must be the intruder. A strong one at that since everybody was beaten up around him.

"Not sure," Scorpia said as she raised her sharp pincers which snapped. "But seems we have a-oh crap!" Scorpia took a step back, surprising Catra. "That's not good."

"Huh. What is-" Catra was then interrupted as Scorpia raised her right pincer which protected Catra from the bullet barrage Roland sent. The feline faunus realizing she nearly got shot at had it not been for her friend protecting her. However, what made her feel worse was what Scorpia said next.

"That's the Gunslinger!" Catra's eyes widened.

"Gunslinger!" Catra looked back at Roland. His outfit, his face. Okay, he looked a bit young but that outfit was definitely what many say the Gunslinger wears. And Catra, while she'd never admit it, felt her tail wilt down behind her.

She heard stories of this bastard, and how good he was at taking out his targets. With rumor having it he got stronger. Excluding that last part, Catra is aware of how tough this guy is, having taken out many Satyra members and has been said to challenge Grimm. Heck, Catra was actually amazed those idiots working with that creepy woman were even alive.

Which Roland was reluctantly about to do.

'I have my information, got intel on the enemy's fighting style, who the Fallen's working with. No need to continue on.' Roland could still fight thanks to limitless stamina and the like, but why did he have to? He had all he needed and the Gunslinger didn't feel the need to risk himself letting the enemy continue sending reinforcements and perhaps calling in more Grimm. Or maybe the Fallen getting involved themself.

While there is a chance Roland can stop this group now, that didn't mean he had to or risk his life. As such, Roland decided to leave and teleport away. Though not before giving a smirk which infuriated everyone that saw it, and then gave a stare at the building he knew the Fallen was in. He shot a bullet of Light for All and then vanished away.

Leaving behind the losers of this battle.

"Very…interesting." With one who watched it all more than displeased. Salem may have said those words with some interest, though that did little to hide the anger she was feeling. Particularly, anger. Anger at what had been done here today.

One man. One man that came in, and defeated her subordinates like so. That was all it took. Salem thought only Ozma, at his best, could be capable of such a thing. But clearly that wasn't so as Salem narrowed her eyes at the defeat here. At how her subordinates were on the ground unable to do a thing while Catra and Scorpia got the other bandits to get medical aid. The Grimm attempting to find Roland but would fail. Even if they did find him, he would just use that strange power to disintegrate them or turn them to stone.

Well, Salem might think strange but she actually knew what that power was. Or at the least, has seen something just like it. A power given to others by him to stop her Grimm. One that she assumed, wouldn't even be in thisn world.

"It seems I have more to learn." Salem scowled while also looking behind her. Where a bullet hole was at. One she dodged but not before her own senses literally screamed at her not to get hit. The only good thing that came out of this was Salem learning a bit of the enemy's fighting style, but otherwise that was just a small little prize. The intruder having earned more. All while humiliating her allies in the process.

Salem was starting to hate this world.

Cinder, Hazel, Bandit Princess and Watts were good.

Roland is better. By a lot. Even if Salem had joined alongside Catra and Scorpia, chances are they still might have lost. Not that Roland stuck around, but why would he? He got everything he needed and extra. This was a total win for the dude, and while he took a few hits, it's nothing he can't handle.

How the villains will react to this, is a question for another time.
