Caroline Cordovin

A young and proud woman who was born from Atlas after it had found a way to float into the sky. Caroline Cordovine was born in the city of Atlas, and showed herself to be a loyal follower of the kingdom. Joining the military to safeguard citizens, and showed herself to be quite capable. Even able to pilot the Colossus quite well and was given a license for it.

Although, despite being intelligent and having passing marks on her studies, it was noted that Caroline is quite unstable emotionally. Not to mention her patriotism for her kingdom, is rather exaggerated and bloated. Her own coworkers finding her to be annoying, not helped that Caroline is rather prejudiced towards those not of Atlas and is implied to be racist to faunus in general. Due to these rather undesirable traits, the higher-ups sent Caroline to the Atlas base in Argus where they believed she wouldn't cause much trouble.

While Caroline is still considered a nuisance even in the base at Argus, it is admitted she does a decent job there. With those who sent her, despite their personal feelings for Caroline, putting her in charge of the base due to being quite strategic against the Grimm and does a fine job in protecting the city of Argus. Those in the base, while reluctant working with her, follow her orders out of some respect for her capability and keep the city safe. As despite all Caroline's many faults, the one aspect that can be considered admirable is that she's willing to defend the people, even those she looks down on and protects them from the Grimm.

She also has a sit-com like nemesis in the form of Maria. Having flagged Maria Calavera on the additional screening list due to Maria attempting to bring contraband aboard. The two have had poor relations ever since.

The city of Argus seemed to be as peaceful as it appeared.

The city was doing fine, and the people were enjoying their day. Why, laughter could be heard here and there while there were those that muttered of their dull day. From children playing to the adults busy working. Argus being as normal as it ever is.

"Grrr." However, all would not end well soon enough. At a distance away from the city, too soon to be detected, a horde of Grimm were outside running. Their red eyes glowing menacingly, with their maws open wide as howls, hisses, and roars are heard among this hoard. If someone saw this scene, they'd be both frightened while also confused. For why was such a horde of Grimm coming here?

While it is true Grimm are attracted to negative emotions, and travel in packs, this many Grimm shouldn't even be heading to Argus. After all, while Argus did experience negative emotions, not enough for this many to come. While there was one good reason, perhaps, the Grimm being controlled if anyone believed it, it also couldn't be that. For the only one who could do it is gone from this world. Which means something was attracting them. But what people would ask?

"Hahahahaha!" Or who. A massive robot with multiple hands was outside and running full speed ahead. Like the Grimm, he was a tireless being that could constantly move if he so wished to. Where he focused on his ager to draw in the Grimm towards him while keeping a good head start from them grabbing him.

While unlikely this many Grimm could even kill him, the numbers would certainly stall him for a long while. Not that it mattered as Ganeesh didn't plan on getting caught. Instead, he kept his focus where he knew just a few more miles ahead is where Argus is at. From there, he could finally grab those who denied his prize while even slaughtering the pathetic humans and faunus here with glee.

The best part being, not even Sammael can stop him. After all, he was in another dimension and it's unlikely that the bastard knew where he even was. Haha! He managed to pull one over on that foolish Fallen and he didn't even have to try. Once he got his prize, he can rule this world like a king. No, a God Emperor! The ruler of this weak world where there are no silly heroes, lame-o Huntsmen, and naturally no Fallen.

"Soon. I'll be the most powerful and richest man alive." Ganesh declared to the wind as he could hardly hold back his eagerness. His mind going to the Lamp, and then his own delusion of him conquering Remnant. Not to mention those brats. Those damn brats and that old man.

"I'll be sure to give them a wonderful time." A sick grin came on Ganeesh's face. The opposite effect of what the people who made the body tried to do. The city was in view, and while no doubt the guards would notice him and the hoard, they would be too late. Ganesh has already won.

"Alright sis. Here you go." Jaune handed Saphron her son, putting his nephew onto her waiting hands. "Adrian sure knows how to attract the ladies." The Arc joked. "Heck, getting his diapers while shopping which should have been a normal day, instead turned to the girls cooing and oohing at him."

"Well, he is my precious son." Saffron bragged as she grabbed her child and held him tight. Looking prideful at her son while she was at it. "No doubt he'll be a real ladies man in the future. Isn't that right Adrian?" The small baby just smiled and clapped his hands.

"Hehe. Confidence." Jaune smiled. "I like it."

"That he is." Saffron agreed with her brother. "Which reminds me, how are your friends? I understand that you all are going somewhere else soon despite just getting here."

"Oh, you know." Jaune then attempted to make an excuse. Not wanting his sister to worry about how he and his friends are going to Vacuo to get a powerful Relic away from a deadly witch. "We just want to see some old friends. Maybe transfer to the Academy there too."

"Hm. You sure you can't just go to the Haven Academy?" Saffron then asked. "I mean, Shade is so far, and while I know the school in Haven is closed after that horrible attack, it should open up very soon." Saphron knew about how Beacon fell, and was a bit worried for her brother. Hoping that he'd be okay.

"Don't worry sis. We'll be fine on our journey." I mean, they were just putting the Relic in a Vault and that was it. No more no less. "But hey, I'll call you later if it helps." Saphron grinned.

"You better." She then briefly held Adrian with one hand as she punched her brother playfully on the shoulder. "After all, last thing we need is you vanishing away." Saffron then looked somber for a little. "I mean…I heard what happened at Beacon, you know."

Jaune, upon hearing those words, then looked down. Thinking back on the school he entered and more importantly, Pyrrha. The girl he had grown to care for, at the very end. "Yeah…I know." Jaune sighed. "You know, I was also surprised when I saw that…statue." Saphron knew what he was talking about.

Many memorials were made for those lost in Beacon. However, some people went further such as those who made a statue of Pyrrha Nikos. A girl who everyone liked and saw as a prime example of what a Huntsmen should be. Brave. Strong. Valiant. As such, many were saddened by her passing.

Jaune, during his stay here, found the statue with his teammates. The three paying their respects to their fallen friend where Jaune also swore he saw someone else there. Someone that might be related to Pyrrha.

"I'm just hoping that when all of this is over, I'll make her proud." Jaune then briefly looked at the sky. Knowing that even in death, she might be watching him along with the others. The quest he's on to stop the ones who caused her death and protect the people in her stead. He hoped Pyrrha would be proud.

Saphron, knowing her brother is still hurt, thought of trying to comfort him. For all her playful bickering with him, she cared for her brother. And was saddened how hurt Jaune had been because of how he lost someone important to him. But before she could say anything, she was interrupted.

WWWWWRRRRR-OOOOOOO!

By an alarm. An emergency alert sent across the city. Saphron held Adrian closer on instinct while Jaune walked up to her side, hand already on the hilt of his sword. The alarm got everyone's attention where even moving traffic paid close attention. People stopped what they were doing to see what was going on. The Atlas base, quick to explain as the speakers all around Argus then stopped sending the alarm. Instead, the voice of the base's commander is up and explaining what was happening.

None of which was good news.

"People of Argus. A Grimm horde is coming to Argus." Needless to say, this got people scared. Already a few panicked while the more level-headed ones decided it was best to leave. "Do not fear though. The might of Atlas will protect you!" While some people did feel annoyed by this declaration, many did start feeling a little safer as they saw the Atlas base full of activity.

'However. Do find the nearest bunker for safety. And if not that, get to a fortified place where Huntsmen and Atlas troops will come to defend you." People took that advice. While Atlas had many troops and Argus did have a good number of Huntsmen for defense, there was still a chance that these Grimm could get in. As such, best to find a place to lay low while the professionals handled this.

Jaune then looked at Saphron. No longer was he just her brother, but her brother and a Huntsman. "Get Adrian to safety." He told her as he then took out his sword. "I don't want you to be outside on the off chance Grimm infiltrates the city."

"But what about you?" Saphron asked worryingly.

Jaune smirked as he then extended his shield from its sheath mode. "Sis. What do you think I've been training for?"

Saphron still didn't look convinced, but she had to relent. Unlike her, her brother has indeed trained. While he was far from the best, he has faced the Grimm and survived again and again. If anything, he'd be fine compared to her, who's a civilian.

"Alright." Saphron nodded. "But you better come back alive." Adrian huffed in agreement while crossing his arms.

"Got it." Jaune said before he then hugged her gently. "I'll be back." The two then parted ways with Jaune watching her off. Once Jaune was certain Saphron would be safe, he then moved out. Taking out his scroll and contacting his friends. "Ren. Nora. You there?"

"Loud and clear captain!" Nora shouted with her usual bluster.

"We're coming to your location." Ren added as running could be heard in the background.

"Actually, meet up where the horde is coming at." Jaune told them. "We may as well hold the line there if any get through, which they will." For all the defenses this city had, the Grimm always seemed to find a way into the city. Granted, Jaune could see some ships flying towards where the horde is coming, but one can never be too careful.

"Alright." Ren said as he agreed. "We'll meet up towards where the horde is coming at."

"And join up with Team RWBY and the rest." Nora added them as well.

"Right. They should be getting their weapons ready as well." Because no way Team RWBY would just stand around and do nothing either.

"Alright then Uncle Qrow, you game?" Ruby asked her uncle who just gave a teasing smile.

"Well, I'm sober enough as it is." Qrow joked before he got a serious look. "But yeah, I'm ready." Qrow already held out his own sword. The sounds of engines could be heard where the two looked up and saw the Atlas ships going ahead of them. "And not just us to."

"Uncle Qrow…do you think-" Qrow was already ahead of her.

"That maybe Salem is doing this, to get the Relic." While it's natural for Grimm to attack the city, according to the information Qrow got on the alert, a large horde was heading toward the city. Yeah Grimm attacks increased since the Fall of Beacon, but no way this many would attack a city that didn't emit that much negativity. Meaning…someone was guiding them here.

Considering the item his niece had, it made sense who was guiding them. This must be Salem's attempt to get the Relic. And of course she would gladly tear apart an entire city to get her hands on it.

"The rest of your team heading our way?" Qrow asked.

"Already coming for me." Ruby declared. "Still, what about the sea?" Ruby turned her head back as she ran, noting the docks where the sea is at. "Won't Salem maybe attack there as well?"

"Probably. But the Atlas base there should have it covered." They might be annoying pricks, but Argus was well defended because of that base. So things should be fine. "But remember squirt, Salem isn't necessarily here to destroy this city. Instead, she wants the Relic. Why, it might be safer for you to just go elsewhere. Maybe even leave." In a way, that would be the most pragmatic choice.

If all of them left with the Relic, Salem will eventually chase after them. Though that will take time, and by that point this city will have lost many good people before Salem went after them. However, the look in Ruby's eyes showed she wasn't going to leave at all. She really is Summer's daughter.

"Guess that's my answer." Qrow smirked with Ruby doing the same. The two then kept on running where they saw the people slowly evacuating while the occasional Huntsmen is seen. Some explosions could be heard though up ahead, likely the fight has already begun. The duo got closer and closer, hearing gunfire, explosions from Dust, and the roaring of the Grimm. But they also heard more than just that.

"Die! Die! Die!" It was a familiar voice, one that the two knew very well.

"You've gotta be kidding me." Qrow snarled with Ruby feeling her mood go down. Eventually, the two finally arrived, where they then saw it. Atlas soldiers firing against the Grimm, the Grimm trying to cut down the soldiers but stopped by the Huntsmen here. And of course, standing tall and proud, and shining more than the average Atlas machine, was none other than Ganeesh himself who laughed. As he picked up some Grimm and threw them onto the streets, forcing the fighters to quickly kill it before it went further in the city. Or the Grimm struck at their exposed behinds.

Ganesh on the occasion grabbed a person and brutally beat them down. Avoiding the gunfire to his frame while also targeting the Bullheads by grabbing Grimm and launching them at the ships. It seems this bastard has decided to go for round three. In that case…

"Hey, tin can!" Qrow then shouted where Ganeesh then paused and looked where he heard that disrespectful tone. Grinning evilly as he then saw his two targets.

"Well, well, well." He laughed aloud. "So my prey comes to me." He began moving forward, kicking and swatting away the insects that tried to get in his way. Not helping that any that tried to fire at him were then occupied by the Grimm who saw their distraction and took advantage of it.

"You!" Ruby scowled. "You're back!"

"Back with a vengeance!" Ganesh declared. "And it won't be just you fools that suffer." Ganeesh made a hand motion to the chaos happening around them. "This…This is all on you."

"Bullshit." Qrow told Ganeesh. "Like hell this is our fault. This is on you, you pathetic defect." Instead of seeing Ganeesh get mad and charge at them like before, as Qrow expected, instead the machine chuckled.

"Petty tricks like that won't work this time." Ganesh then slammed his fists together. "This time, things will be different." A roar is then heard. Though not from the Grimm in this area, but from far behind them. Ruby and Qrow turned and there they then saw it. Flying Grimm coming from the docks, along with a terrifying creature. A Leviathan.

"Damn." Qrow said as he saw the size of that thing. Thankfully it seems the Atlas base was prepping some barriers up, but this wasn't good. That thing must have been attracted by Ganeesh and his fucking stunt here.

"Got ya!" With Ganeesh then rushing at the two who turned their back to the enemy. Qrow and Ruby then feeling two hands grab their wastes and instant pressure assaulting them as Ganeesh squeezed.

"Ahhh!" Ruby shouted with Qrow feeling his aura draining away fast. He tried to break free but Ganeesh was too strong. His grip only tightening on the two humans as he laughingly mocked them.

"This time," He sadistically shouted. "I win!"

"Like hell rust can!"

"Oh yeah!"

Then, a small explosion could be heard followed by Yang's fist and Nora's own hammer slamming into Ganeesh's face. Knocking him back as he didn't even see them coming and forcing him to let go of the two who dropped down and gasped for air. Where Yang, with flaming hair and red eyes, stepped up and said, "Nobody hurts my family. You outdated tin can!"

"Time for you to be recycled!" Nora added with her own grin, though anger was also in that smile. Not liking this jerk being here already.

"Don't forget us as well." Jaune Arc suddenly came, and with him everyone else. Weiss, Blake, Ren, and Oscar. All of them were here and stepping forward where Ganeesh then stood up and glowered at them. So the gang's all here? Not a problem. At the very least his plan was working as the pathetic soldiers here were busy dealing with the grimm to stop him.

"Well then," Ganesh then bent his legs as his robotic eyes eyed all of them. "Let's get started!" He then ran at them with the nine heroes doing the same. All of them yelling as this would not only be the third round, but the final round as well. And only one side can prevail…and live.

Alright, time for the final fight to be done with. Let's see how the gang fare against Ganeesh as he's finally fighting smarter, not harder. Not to mention with the Grimm as a nasty back-up.
