What is up, guys? It is me, LanceSennin, back at it again with another daily update for all of you! Last chapter, we saw Itsuki and Yotsuba meeting Isanari for the first time, who was apparently a good friend of their parents in the past. This may look like an irrelevant plot point, but bear with it for now. You'll see how it will affect the story in the future, so keep your eye on their backstory. The chapter then ended with Isanari finally leaving them after teasing the girls one more time, which brings us here.

TheMist33: The answer to your question is yes. Like I said last chapter, canon has been thrown out of the window ever since the beginning, so you can expect minor to massive changes involving the story. I am staying out of that bio-dad shit and who knows? Maybe Maruo not being a virgin will lighten him up more.

Before we get on to this new chapter, I do want you to follow/fave this fic, it helps me out quite a lot and we're also trying to beat my other story, Quintessential Maids in this story's rise to the very top. With that said, let's hop into this chapter!

"This doesn't look like a convenient way of answering our homework…" Fuutarou thought to himself, reviewing his notes for a past lesson since he was already done with his own homework for the day. On the other hand, his two students who were sitting on either side of him, were still quite busy with their own work. His current dilemma wasn't because of both girls having a hard time answering questions like what one would expect from them, but something more… physical.

He was sandwiched between Itsuki and Yotsuba, with seemingly no way for him to get out because of how they were literally beside him. Seriously, their arms were touching his own and they didn't look like they had any intention of moving away unless he tells them to. Their shoulders even bumped against each other several times earlier, he just didn't choose to say anything. However, the problem that lies in his situation is that he'll have to disrupt their moment of concentration and shift their focus away from their homework if he wanted to tell them to move away, just when they finally got their minds off of Isanari and his damn teasing!

The only way he can possibly get out of this is if he moves backwards since there wasn't anything behind him, but that would still shift their attention away from their homework when they notice him not sitting beside them anymore!

"How did we end up being in this position again?" he thought, thinking back to where it all began. Oh yeah, as soon as Isanari left them be to focus on their study session, Fuutarou tried his best to keep their focus on him and what they originally came here for. However, the two girls just couldn't get Isanari's last words out of their minds and resulted in them being thrown out of the loop multiple times while he was explaining a topic. Every time it happened, the two would have beet red faces and stutter whenever he catches them in the act.

Obviously, it's impossible for them not to think about what Isanari said… because they truly were thinking about such a thing.

Of course, Fuutarou couldn't blame them entirely for getting distracted throughout most of their tutoring session. The moment he saw his old man chilling here when he arrived with Yotsuba and Itsuki, he lost all hope for having a meaningful time dedicated to studying and teaching these girls what they should know. The only thing he could do was stick to his original plan and roll with the situation, no matter how difficult it may prove to be…

These girls were his soulmates, so he could tell that they were thinking about him explicitly in relation to what his father said before leaving. Oh well, it is what it is and he couldn't do anything to change it.

If only he could turn back time and push Isanari out of here before could even get a chance to tease these girls…

But nonetheless, he could only push forth with doing his job as a tutor. Even though it was hard trying to get the girls' full attention, he still managed and after about half an hour of getting them to focus, he was finally able to teach them the topics that they had to tackle for the day. Of course, he gave Yotsuba a little more attention than Itsuki for this time, because he needed to find out the girl's limits so he'd have a better grasp of his approach for next time.

After teaching them only a few points from the different subject areas, Fuutarou decided to spend the rest of their tutoring session answering their respective homework together, the reason being Yotsuba's presence here. Like what he did for Itsuki on their first day together, he didn't want to push her limits right away and they had their own homework assigned to them by their teachers.

That's what led to Itsuki asking him to sit beside her while they do their homework, for reasons he could only assume that had something to do with being close to him. For some reason, Yotsuba seemed excited at the thought of him sitting beside her as well, so… he decided to humor them and did exactly what they wanted.

Fuutarou didn't know if he should be regretting his decision or not, because he just sacrificed being able to move freely and now he was trapped between two girls… who were also his soulmates.

"I'm done, Uesugi-kun! Can you please check my work if I did well?" A familiar voice snapped the young man out of his thoughts, as he turned his head to see Itsuki, with a determined look on her face, giving him her sheet of paper that held her answers.

A simple but effective way to prevent too much erasures on the material to be answered.

"Sure thing, Itsuki," he gave her a nod and took the paper off her hands. The girl only giggled and leaned against his shoulder afterwards, letting out a huge sigh of relief now that she was done. She might have made mistakes in her answers but for now, Itsuki could take a little break from brainstorming as much as she could. She could just focus on the mistakes she made later on, when her tutor finishes checking how she did.

"At least she's not hugging my arm, or I'm gonna have an even harder time moving around," Fuutarou said in his thoughts, before a smile had found its way to his face at seeing the girl like this. While Nino was Kami-sama to him, Itsuki was the first girl that he truly felt being comfortable around, as well as the first one to make him smile other than his family. He could remember the first time they met like it was just yesterday…

"Uwaaaa… I know it's only my first day studying, but it's really hard for me, Uesugi-san…" Yotsuba sighed, letting her head and arms fall to the table, seemingly defeated. Her ribbon even lost its usual energy and her eyes had turned into spirals from all the information that was being crammed into her mind in a short period of time.

"If you want my advice, Itsuki felt the same way as you during our first session. However, she didn't give up there and continues to do her best until now. Your sister couldn't have gotten higher remarks on our quizzes by doing nothing," Fuutarou spoke wisely, patting the girl on the back in an attempt to comfort her.

Almost immediately, her green ribbon sprang back into action as she raised her head and arms from the table, her defeated expression turning into her usual look of determination. Nothing can truly keep this girl down for very long, it seems.

"Well, if Uesugi-san says it like that, then I won't give up! I'll keep on doing my best then!" she exclaimed, clenching her fist as she went back to answering her homework as if nothing happened to her. While doing so, however, Yotsuba let her head fall against his shoulder just like Itsuki did which quickly got Fuutarou's attention and made him throw a glance at her direction.

"Okay, I definitely have a harder time moving now," he thought to himself nervously, while also feeling his cheeks starting to slowly turn red from having two girls lean on his shoulders, especially Yotsuba. She was acting exactly like how she did earlier, and he had no idea if it's just her being her usual energetic self, or if she was being affectionate!

Sure, he could understand Itsuki since he was already aware that this was her way of showing affection along with hugging his arm and… kissing his cheek.

Fuutarou hid a smile to himself as he remembered those two times in the past few when the youngest Nakano quintuplet would press her lips on his cheek in a sweet kiss. It caught him off guard both times, but he couldn't hide the smiles that would appear on his face afterwards... as well as his cheeks turning red out of embarrassment.

Anyway, back to Yotsuba, this girl was someone who confused him when it came to being excited and affectionate. While he could clearly take notice of how Itsuki and Nino [due to her actions yesterday] express their feelings, Yotsuba was different. He didn't know if she was being her usual energetic self or she was showing signs of affection but either way, he can't deny feeling flustered every time she does something…

Let's see… Itsuki and Nino were tsunderes, while Yotsuba was a deredere.

Everyone may be fond of derederes and their bubbly nature, but they can't be all-smiles, right? There must be a way he can figure out Yotsuba and how to distinguish whether she's expressing her true feelings or not! He had not forgotten about their time together in the clinic, where the girl didn't even seem like she knew what she wanted to do, at least until he talked some sense into her.

While Fuutarou was thinking deeply about Yotsuba and her… enthusiasm, Itsuki had a little pout on her face as she glanced at her sister. That was the second time today that Yotsuba did the same thing as her, and she wasn't completely sure that it was just her sister being her usual self anymore.

Nope, leaning on someone's shoulder was not a normal thing to do for Yotsuba! Something is definitely going on here!

"Hm... what is Yotsuba doing this for?" she thought to herself, before thinking of a possible way to get the answer she wanted. A few seconds later, a bright smile appeared on her face as an idea came to her mind, before immediately putting it into action. She was going to find out the truth behind Yotsuba's strange behavior lately, and see if she developed some kind of attraction for Uesugi-kun! If she didn't, then that's good because Itsuki had nothing to worry about but if not, well... let's just hope that it doesn't really come to that.

However, as soon as she looked up to face him, she noticed the serious look on her tutor's face and caused her to feel curious. What exactly could he be thinking about? Wait no, this wasn't the right time to dwell on that! Back to the plan she had in mind!

Fuutarou was brought out of his thoughts when he felt someone tap on his shoulder, causing him to turn his head and see that it was Itsuki. She was looking up at him with a cute smile on her face, which was effective enough to make him blush in response.

"Uesugi-kun, can we eat lunch together again tomorrow? While I was listening to Nino speaking about how she enjoyed having lunch with you, I can't help but miss your company already! Will it be okay?" she asked, wrapping her arms around the young man's arm lovingly and giving him the puppy-dog eyes.

Fuurarou felt like something punched his gut the moment he saw her expression, before he quickly hid it behind a serious face. Argh, that weapon was extremely effective for some reason that he couldn't fight the urge to just listen to what she wanted! He couldn't even be mad at her for using it! "Of course you can, why are you even asking me for permission?" he asked, wondering why this girl was even asking such a thing when they eat together anyway.

Itsuki shrugged, before looking to the side. "Oh, it's nothing too big. I simply wanted to snap you out of that serious look you had a while ago. You've been that way for a few minutes now, is something wrong?" she asked with a serious look of her own.

"Uh, it's nothing. Just…" he rubbed the back of his head, relying on his quick wits to try and come up with an excuse he could use that didn't involve finding out what Yotsuba's real intentions were! Nope, there's no way he can tell Itsuki about that! Who knows what might happen between the two girls if he did? He had no intention of finding out! "…just thinking about how to deal with the people at school tomorrow! You know, because of the rumors about the two of us. It's gonna be a lot tougher to have to live with it… especially for you since I know you're not used to having too much attention to yourself."

Fuutarou quickly said to avoid Itsuki doubting his words and while the two teenagers were speaking with each other, Yotsuba, in the same way as her sister, had a little pout on her face at the moment. It was unclear what she was currently thinking about, but from the way she began to slowly hold the boy's arm as well, the ribbon-wearing girl may be planning to do something.

"That is what you are worried about?" Itsuki asked, raising an eyebrow at him before letting out a chuckle in amusement. She remembered a little conversation that they had not long ago at the school cafeteria, which was the same day when he met Yotsuba for the first time. "Did we not have this conversation already several days ago?"

The young man chuckled as well, while internally sighing in relief that Itsuki didn't notice his slip-up. Damn, this girl was perceptive of her surroundings, which also included a person's expressions. "I know, but I'm not only worried about you… I'm also worried about —"

He was suddenly cut off from his words when he felt someone hug his other arm tightly and even pull on it, shifting his attention to his other side where Yotsuba leaning dangerously close to his face that he nearly fell back out of surprise.

"Oh, oh, let me join in too! I want to have lunch with you too, Uesugi-san!" she said cheerfully, snuggling closer to him with a blush on her cheeks.

"Woah, Yotsuba! Calm down!" he exclaimed, almost tempted to pull away from her because this girl was getting too close… wait, was she being affectionate or what? He couldn't really tell when she was full of smiles all the time! This was so confusing!

Itsuki didn't hesitate to speak up, temporarily stopping her sister from her 'genki assault'… or whatever it was called that didn't involve her sister 'hogging Uesugi-kun away'.

"Yotsuba, you don't need to pull on Uesugi-kun's arm like that if you are just going to ask him to let you join us for lunch. Asking him in a simple way is enough!"

The ribbon-wearing quint made a confused sound, before tilting her head so she could get a good look at her sister. "Ehh, but I really want to spend our lunch break with Uesugi-san! He's also my tutor now, right?"

"W-Well, that is true, but what about our other sisters? Won't they be wondering where you are if you do sit with us since you are always with them?" Itsuki argued, since there was a part of her that didn't want things to be like this! She had it already figured out, the moment Yotsuba started pulling on their tutor's arm. It was as clear as daylight, even if she was someone who's not into romance and other things related to that topic.

Whatever it is, Yotsuba had some kind of attachment to Fuutarou!

"I'll tell them later when we get home!" The genki girl flashed a small pout, before looking up with a puppy-dog eye expression of her own. "Uesugi-san, I can sit with you during lunch, right?"

"S-Sure, there's nothing wrong with that…" he muttered quietly, unable to defend himself against a face like that.

SUCH A BRUTAL WEAPON!

SOMEBODY SPARE HIM OF IT ALREADY!

ENOUGH'S ENOUGH!

A big smile appeared on Yotsuba's smile as she began to cheer loudly, subconsciously tightening her grip on Fuutarou's arm in the process. "Yooooshhhh! I'm already excited for tomorrow! It's Yotsuba tiiiimmeeee!" she cried, her ribbon reflecting her happiness to the point that it started to generate sparkles out of nowhere.

Fuutarou noticed that the girl was still holding on to his arm tightly until now, causing him to sweat-drop. Yep, he definitely didn't know whether it was her usual self or she was being clingy because of her true feelings...

"Can I have my arm back, though?" he asked.

"Hehe, nope! I want to stay like this for a while!" Yotsuba shook her head and leaned against his shoulder, looking like she was having so much fun.

So much for having a tutoring session today as well… phew, good thing it wasn't a completely serious one because this was just Yotsuba's first day as his student!

Itsuki, however, wouldn't stand for it. She grabbed Fuutarou's right arm with renewed strength, before doing her best to pull him away from her sister's grip. "Yotsuba, let go of Uesugi-kun's arm already and go back to doing your homework! You are not even finished yet!"

"I don't want to! I want to hug some more!" Yotsuba whined, shaking her head frantically as she used her superior strength to keep the young man's other arm in her grasp.

"This is going to be my life in the future…" he deadpanned, slowly detaching himself from the reality that two girls were bickering over him and using him as a rope in a tug-of-war game.

He'll have to find some kind of neutral ground between them when the time comes, especially if the others were as hungry for his attention like these two. Such a thing would prove to be a big challenge when he eventually meets all of his soulmates, but the moment he accepted his situation from that stupid old man, he was already taking on the biggest challenge that the world has never seen before. Furthermore, with how he was getting used to the presence of three of them, he'd rather die than give up in this challenge that he willingly took up...

Making five different soulmates happy at the same time.
