Author's Notes:

Hello everyone,

» I love One Piece and have read manga and watched anime.

» I have written this FanFic, after reading many Fanfics and got inspired by them.

» I also researched to ensure the accuracy of the worldview.

» I have written this fanfic for fun.

» The story will be slow-paced for a few chapters, with a mild information dump, so be patient.

» About the timeline settings, I got info from here: The one-piece-timeline- The Library of Ohara, So google it if needed.

» English is my second language. And this is my first story, so grammar will be improved slowly. The first few chapters have many grammatical errors. Please bear with me, and the chapters behind them will be Ok.

P.s I will try to be as logical as possible with no logic behind it, just like my ID. Hahaha, why should there be logic in fiction?.

Prologue: What Is This?

.

On a dark stormy night, somewhere in the sea, a battered ship is swaying because of a whirlpool forming nearby. Oblivious to it, its occupants are treating their fresh injuries But they kept their focus on their captain, who is walking on the deck frantically.

"Shit! shit! shit!" cursed the Captain glaring at a man in front of him.

"You clearly told me that ship will be some small kingdom ship?" the captain questioned that man, who nodded fearfully.

"But that ship turned out to be the Government's research ship," the Captain pointed out.

"Because of your wrong info, I lost many men in this raid," the captain anguished as the man looked down, ashamed.

"I'm sorry, captain," the man apologized sincerely.

Before the Captain could scold. "But Captain, it is completely not my fault. That ship was disguised," the man explained.

"Oh!" The captain recalled the detail of the raid and thought deeply. "Whatever, that ship disguised as some kingdom's ship, so they must be on a secret mission or have something valuable," the Captain deduced.

"But we have looted everything on that ship," the man replied, confused. "Except for that... THING" he shakily pointed at the box in the middle of the crowd.

"Yeah! Even though that ship looked pretty advanced, it only has some papers and weird bottles. It has nothing precious," another man chimed in.

"Even the vault that we blast open...-the one in which a person hid in," one man snickered. "*cough* It also had nothing valuable... except..." the man eyed the Box.

"I care nothing about that. We just attacked a government ship, so they will start hunting us now," yelled the captain, staring coldly at the others.

"Do you think we will have time to sell these things?" the Captain fumed at his idiotic crew.

"Maybe they won't find out," a man arrived, who seemed to be second-in-command from the respect he receives.

"Hmm! How do ya' say so?" asked a man eagerly.

"Simple. We killed everyone on the ship," he replied cruelly. "So, no one can inform the government," He reasoned.

"Even if someone is alive, we have destroyed the sail, rudder, and looted all the Transponder snail," the Captain finished, looking relaxed.

Everyone digested the information silently with varying expressions. "Captain! A whirlpool is forming nearby," informed a person from a crow's nest, breaking the silence.

"Let's get away from this area first. I will deal with you later," the captain suggested before pointing at the informant.

"Men! prepare the sail, raise the anchor, ready to move," the captain ordered as the crew scattered to do their jobs.

"Captain! What to do with this?" asked a man pointing at the mysterious box.

"Toss it overboard," the Captain replied.

The man reached the box nervously, and secured the box's lid properly; the box looks very sturdy, maybe made of legendary Adam wood.

He carried it to the rail and started lowering it. "What the hell are you doing? Just toss it overboard," complained the man next to him.

"You know what is inside, right?" he retorted, lowering the box.

"Idiot it's... whatever it is, WAS dead," the man gulped, glancing at the box nervously. "So don't bother; finish the job quickly before you receive Captain's wrath," the man warned while working on sail's rope.

"Why does the government have something like this?" the man muttered, quickly lowering the box into the sea.

"Who knows?" he got a reply before cutting it off.

The ship sailed away, leaving the box floating silently. Soon the box got caught in the whirlpool's current and dragged towards the whirlpool's center. The sky darkened further as the box fell into the abyss-like whirlpool's center.

But it fell on the calm mirror-like sea surface. The box floated silently, with no sign of the previous whirlpool there. Suddenly the water rose because of the pressure, from the same place as the whirlpool's center, carrying the box on its top.

The pressure rises, increasing the size of the water mound, which has the box on its top with each passing second. Just as the pressure reached its limit, "*cough* *cough* *gasp* *wheeze*... woo... wah!... waa!... wah!" a baby's cry originated from the box.

As if receiving a signal the built-up pressure was released, creating a knock-out stream, carrying the box resting on its top.

White Sea

"Can we get anything good from that monstrous stream this time?" asked a winged person surveying the white sea.

"It will be great if a sea king got caught in it. We can get strong leather and good meat," another person replied wistfully, driving the Dial boat.

"Yeah... it's nearly four centuries, but the war is nowhere near its end.." he replied absentmindedly, concentrating on hearing something.

"Hey, do you hear it, some crying sound?" he asked his partner, who slowed the vehicle to hear.

"waa… waa...*wheeze*..*hic* wah..*wheeze* " they suddenly heard the sound from a distance.

"Shit! Its sounds like a baby's cry. Find it before the sharks get it," he panicked and looked around.

In some distance, he noticed Sky sharks circling something. "There..." he pointed and activated his Jet ski, racing towards that position, followed by his partner.

"Get out of here. You bloody shark," he yelled, discovering a beaten-up box, half-submerged, where the water is entering it.

*cough*...*wheeze*... *choke* struggling sound came out from the box. He quickly lifted the box when a shark jumped at him, jaws wide, but it got speared by his partner.

He placed the box on the vehicle as water drained out through the broken gaps in the box. "Are you sure it's alive? It looks drowned. With this amount of water in it," pointed out his partner, to which he also agrees.

The man still opened the box to find the baby of... what species? He did not know. He stared incredulity inside the box. *wheeze*..*wheeze* sound brought him back from staring.

"It's struggling to breathe. We need to get it a doctor," he urged, bringing back his partner's mind, who was gaping at the baby.

"What is this thing?" his partner asked while stepping on the accelerator.

"Don't know, probably a species from the blue sea," he replied, examining the baby. It has shark teeth, a black tail, claws on its hands & feet, and a black wing. Other than that, he probably looks like a normal human.

"Do you think it's a devil?" his partner gulped fearfully as the baby unconsciously scoffs.

"Don't know, Don't Care. We will leave it at the infirmary. God, Gan Fall will take care of it," he replied, remaining silent the entire way.

Just info:- As I mentioned in the story's description, the MC has short-term memory loss, so to avoid confusion, I used terms to differentiate like this:

Actions of MC before memory loss - 'Past me', 'I', 'Past him' etc, using single quotes.

Actions of current MC - I, me, my - as usual with no addition.

Well, you will understand them easily as you read the story.

Another thing is:-

The speech will be in - "..."

Thinking inwards will be in - '...'

Other actions will be in - [...]

Enjoy the story.
