Project Amity Tower Update:
Project Amity Tower is an ongoing project for the sake of Remnant. As it is well known, communication between the kingdoms and out settlements had been made failliable since the attack on Beacon. To be specific, it is well known that throughout Remnant communication is reliant on the four CCT Towers, as there has yet to be any method of discovery to create 'satellites' for replacement.
Unfortunately, this has proven to be our downfall seeing as our competency on not developing any other method for communication has caused panic when one of the four CCT Towers went down. While communication between each kingdom's respective area is still possible, not so much with other kingdoms.
That is where project Amity comes in.
With discussion and talk, it has been agreed that in order to allow worldwide communication to be reestablished, a new method is needed that isn't reliant on four towers. So it has been decided that Amity Tower, after some rebuilding and addition of technology, will be used as the new worldwide relay for all of Remnant.
Though it will take time to get the necessary supplies and material to launch Amity up into the atmosphere.
Ironwood felt many things since realizing where he and his allies were at since arriving here. Amazement. Interest. Even pleasure.
But all that went away when Ironwood realized he felt something else. Something horrible. Something terrifying. Something that made even the great general feel ill.
"Got any twos?" Boredom. An enemy that may as well challenge time itself, seeing as just how slow simple waiting felt. Inside the shop orbiting earth, the Ace-Ops were doing their best to enjoy themselves up here. And while the view had been nice, one can only look at the moon and planet for so long before one got tired of it. So naturally, everyone went to see if they could do something.
"Sorry. The training area is under repair."
"No need to worry about the paperwork. I have it handled."
"The Internet is slow, so we can't look up entertainment for a while."
"Just relax and enjoy yourselves."
"No thanks. I can't lift this stuff just fine."
Everyone was so polite and wished to leave the Atlasians alone that it only made things worse.
"Ughhhh!" Harriet groaned as she slammed her head on the table. "Give. Me. Something. To. Do." Her forehead met the table with every word said.
"Mmmm." While Marrow didn't say anything, he kept walking in circles. Almost as if he was chasing his tail, only much sadder.
"..." Vine himself seemed alright, though if one looks closely, you'd see his muscles are twitching. Wanting to do something, anything, to get that body moving.
"Got any fours." In the meantime, Elm and Winter are playing a card game. But it was very dull as this is the thirteenth time in the row they've played the same game. The ship lacked any game boards and the like since it wouldn't even have any in the first place.
"...this is not sensational." Even Penny was looking down. Having just sat in the corner doing nothing at all. Beside her, Pietro sighed. Not allowed to check any technical problems as the workers onboard simply told him that it's their problem, not his. Not realizing that Pietro desired such things.
Clover himself mindlessly swung his weapon, the string going in circles as he twirled it. His usual happy smile no more.
"...hah." All while Ironwood wished he was fighting a Grimm, hell, even drinking with Qrow of all people than doing this! Yes, Ironwood can't deny having some relaxation is needed. The stress he felt in Atlas actually left him. Too bad it's now replaced by the stress of doing nothing either. It was kinda like how a soldier is told to stand guard and only attack if an intruder comes. But otherwise, get paid for standing around and no more than that.
On one hand, if no intruder comes then the guard is happy to know things are peaceful. But have that happen for months and while they still want peace, that guard will now be begging for something, anything to happen. After all, humans needed to have some occupation to keep their minds and body active and satisfied. Otherwise, doing nothing only makes them feel devastated.
With Ironwood himself now pondering how bad it would be if the ship suddenly got attacked by aliens. Would it be bad? Yes. But hey, at least it'd be something.
"Attention. Attention." Then, the intercom turned on. Where a familiar name is heard. "Can James Ironwood please come to the deck."
"Ah, what?" Harriet looked annoyed. "Just him!"
"What about us?" Marrow moaned.
"What are we, chop liver?" Elm angrily snarled. The mood inside the room -which happened to have multiple beds, a small refrigerator, bathrooms and other utensils for the Atlasians during their stay here- full of irritation.
"Calm yourselves." Winter then commanded, though got some huffs instead of the usual 'yes ma'am'. "We must be courteous here. Isn't that right, general?" Winter then turned…to see Ironwood was long gone.
"He left the second his name was called on." Penny told Winter who sighed. The worst part is, she couldn't blame him.
Whistling with a small smile on his lips, Ironwood hoped something trouble-er-interesting had happened.
Passing by the people and waving hello to some of them. Eventually he reached his destination, the deck. Where Ironwood was allowed entry and found the man from before waiting for him. "Hello Ironwood." The man gave his greetings. "I see you arrived quickly."
"Just thought it'd be courteous." Ironwood replied.
"Uh-hu. And not because you were bored, correct?" The man teased.
"..."
"Ha! I'm playing." The man smiled while adjusting his tie. "Look, I understand since bringing you up here you and your allies haven't exactly had much to…do."
"You can say that twice."
"I know, I know. Believe it or not, most people here are the same." The man then rolled his eyes. "Internet is slow so everyone onboard can't look up their usual websites when on break. Plus the signal for our cable is also busted for the next week." Because of that, everyone is working a little extra to stave off the boredom. That whole, 'not letting the Atlasians do their job', wasn't out of kindness. It was so that they themselves could do something.
"We've been getting…complaints about the Internet." Even people dedicated to helping the world wanted fifteen minutes of relaxing while surfing their favorite websites. Frankly, the boredom was killing them.
"Then why did you call me?" Ironwood then decided to make a guess. "Perhaps you have a…job for us?"
"Mmm, no." The man sighed. "Look, I get it. You want something to do. Not much to do up in a cool ship with nothing but space around us." Sure looking at the stars and earth is neat, until it gets dull if you look for too long. "But the fact is, we don't actually know what to give you."
The work up here, only staff members assigned here knew. Fixing the anti-grav engines, filling out paperwork that relates to different countries and organizations, speaking to important VIP's who may use another language, stuff that these visitors of another world wouldn't know what to do.
"Then, what about the situation in Nowhere? I heard many died there." The man looked surprised. Not sure how Ironwood even knew about the deaths. Ironwood saw his expression and said, "The people up here talk."
"Tch. So much for tight-lipped." People up here loved rumors. The man then shaked his head at Ironwood's suggestion. "Ignoring them, unfortunately I can't send you down there."
"And why not? Surely your people could use all the help they need. I can even assure you that with the exception of Pietro, all of us are, as Penny would put it, 'Combat Read'."
"I do believe you." The man nodded, capable of telling that Ironwood and his group are capable of combat. "However, the thing is that the battle is already happening."
"What?"
"Yep." The man then looked past the deck and past the glass where it showed earth. Where many battles are being fought, especially the one in Nowhere. "At this moment, the battle with Van Kleiss is already occurring, with many of our finest facing him."
"Cannot the military handle it?"
"No." Before Ironwood could argue, the man spoke quickly before an argument could occur. "Listen, it's not as if I have a grudge against the military. If anything, they're actually helping out in the evacuation."
"But not fighting?"
"...you did hear about what happened to the military?" The man raised a brow.
"...I did." Not everything. But Ironwood did know how soldiers died. "But it's only natural that some men die in the line of duty." Regretful, but it happens. Some men ended up dying alongside Ironwood back on Remnant. Where one mission ended with some of his allies dying while he lost some of his body.
"True. But usually not by incompetence." Because of whoever ordered that early attack on Van Kleiss's lair, countless men died. For nothing! The military commanders who gave that order, even if they did have good intentions, sent countless soldiers instead of sending scouts first which ended with not just those poor soldiers dying, but not even a body to give back to their loved ones.
"Look. Some situations do require the military. But the battle with Van Kleiss requires a more delicate touch." Ironwood didn't seem pleased by that answer, still believing a proper military force is the key. But he relented, understanding that he didn't make the shots here.
"...Huntsmen I assume?" He then asked who was dealing with Van Kleiss.
"Some of the toughest." Another reason why not to send the military. While they had good gear, training, that won't do against Van Kleiss who has an army and is much stronger than the average soldier. "Trust me, we're ensuring only the best face him and take him down."
"...Hah. Fine."
"Don't worry. Tell you what," The man then had an idea. "There's gonna be a transfer here with one ship going back down to earth. Perhaps you and the rest of your group can go down and maybe one of the commanders down there might have a job for you all."
"I suppose that's better than nothing." Much better. "So long as you keep us informed on any way back home."
"Of course." The two men shake hands and Ironwood leaves. While he still had some doubts about sending Huntsmen against a powerful threat, he supposed that it wasn't call and the man seemed confident with the forces sent. In any case, best to tell the Ace-Ops the good news. Finally a way off of this place and doing the good work.
The battle with Van Kleiss was reaching a climax. Soon, either one side will win or all will fall. Everyone was busy fighting as best they could, knowing that letting up now would be foolish. For the villains, they were cornered, desperate, with so many do-gooders already biting at their legs and drawing blood. It's apparent that with the odds so stacked against them, their chances of success got lower and lower.
On the other hand, there was the saying never fight a cornered rat.
After all, when forced into a desperate situation, people will do one of two things. Accept their defeat in frozen fear, knowing they lost. Or…fight as viciously as they can. It didn't matter how much they bled or how big the cat was, they'll claw and bite at their enemy with so much ferocity, even the cat would be startled and actually become fearful. In this case, despite the hero's great chances at winning, Van Kleiss has clearly begun releasing whatever plans he had left. Plans so diabolical that it made the heroes and other foes themselves cautious as even they wouldn't want to lose an eye. Or perhaps a life.
As such, this made everyone lose focus on their surroundings.
"And in." Allowing the scorpion to finally make his move. Giggling, Tyrian had at last made his way within Van Kleiss's base. It wasn't easy getting the timing right, but he had done it. Being very good at being sneaky.
One didn't kill elite Huntsmen and warriors without the right skill-set after all. Oh how his Goddess will be pleased.
"..?" Tyrian then stopped, sensing it again. A wave of great power.
It was silly really. I mean, this is the real world. This wasn't some television show where a person could just sense a person's, as the kids call it, 'power level' like so. Aura might have good sensing capability, but it wasn't that good. Yet here and now, despite being far from the fight, Tyrian could feel it.
Power. Immense power. So great that even Tyrian, for just a moment felt that it might have even been greater than…her's.
Slap!
Tyrian then slapped his cheeks. "No, no, no. Now's not the time to stand around like a fool." He can think about all of this later. Tyrian may have entered Van Kleiss's lair undetected, but that didn't mean there wouldn't be any of his or the hero's scrooges around here and there. Most will be busy in the great battle, but who knows, one might even be around here.
Best to get the job done here and now. Contemplate all of this when he isn't on enemy territory. As such, Tyrian quickly made his move. Guard up, eyes caution, weapons ready to riddle holes on any foes, the scorpion faunus went deeper into Van Kleiss's lair. Normally, this would be impossible as the nano-infused human had security so great most people wouldn't even be able to step in without getting caught. Thankfully, the heroes caused quite a bit of damage and the shockwaves from certain fights clearly caused the circuitry to fail.
Tyrian himself noted some cameras weren't even functioning properly. That made his job easier, especially as Tyrian soon found himself where he wanted to be. Van Kleiss's control room with some very nice computers. All that happened to be on and still functioning.
"He must have made this place more durable." Tyrian concluded as he giggled and skipped towards the room. He then stopped though, freezing. Blinking, he didn't see anything at all, but constant life and death battles have given Tyrian a type of gut instinct knowing danger is around at certain times. That, and he once entered an Atlas facility like this and got shot in the knee.
Walking backward, Tyrian punched a nearby wall and ripped out some metal. He then tossed it to where the computers were at.
Zssss!
A wall of lasers surrounded the computers while the piece of the wall melted into little goopy pieces. "This'll be a problem."
"Or maybe not." Tyrian quickly turned and instantly shot without even hesitating. The bullets made an impact with their target.
"Oh-ahaha! Nice one." But they did nothing. No blood spilled. No holes seen. Nothing. It made sense, seeing as the person Tyrian shot isn't even human. "You have good instincts. Didn't even hesitate to fire. Assassin I'm guessing." The mechanical being known as Scaramouth grinned.
From his personal weapons, the blades popped out of the Queen's Servants, ready to draw blood. Or maybe oil in this case. Tyrian being more than ready for a fight. All he got was a laugh which irritated him.
"Oh, like that'd do anything." Scaramouth chuckles, not even being close to afraid. "Sorry babe, but it'll take more than that to harm me." Especially with the upgrade he got. "Still, just who are-ah. Now I remember." Realization hit the machine on who he's speaking to. "You're Katz's playmate."
"Katz?" It was then Tyrian recalled a certain mobian who cut off his damn tail. Bastard!
"Mmmm, yes." Scaramouth continued to smile. "I did recall word that Katz got into a scuffle." A bit surprising seeing as Katz was known for killing those he faced. But that didn't translate to invincible either. "Hm, tell you what my good friend, how about I help you out a little."
Still ready to pounce, Tyrian withheld from outright attacking. Getting a strange feeling about this thing and asked, "And what'll that be?"
"Just getting you access to those." Scaramouth pointed at the computers. "Something tells me your no do-gooder, and causing Van Kleiss's annoyance is something we all want!" There's no limit to annoying the guy. To prove his point, Scaramouth walked to a nearby panel, placed his hand on it, and the lasers suddenly went down along with additional protection security.
"Wha-?" Tyrian found himself impressed.
"Now then," Then felt a chill as somehow, the machine was right next to him and placed his cold metal hand on Tyrian's shoulder. Normally the faunus would tear the arm off and feed it to his enemy. Yet this time, he didn't. He couldn't.
As for Scaramouth himself, he just poked Tyrian and said, "You go and have fun. Hahahaha!" Like that the machine then left. With Tyrian realizing he had sweated just a little, a cold sweat to be precise.
Growling, Tyrian decided to just get the job done. If only to ignore the bruised pride he felt alongside fear then and there. Tyrian walked up the computers-noting the machine kept its word-sitting down and overlooking what he saw. He then hummed a little and smiled.
Smash!
Then immediately began tearing the computers up. Oh, but that wasn't to say he's acting as some sort of brute. No, no, no. Tyrian might love chaos and damage, but he isn't stupid either. Instead, what he did was tear open the computer case, and he grabbed the hard drives, which had all the things needed from files, music, video games, or perhaps all SORTS of good information on it.
Tyrian is no master hacker like Watts, so it would be impossible for the faunus to even think he could find the files. So why not get creative. Even if Van Kleiss thought himself a genius that set up security walls and encryption to slow those who'd get to these computers, Tyrian got around that and just tore through the less than durable casings where he could let Watts do all the technical work. Where after tearing each computer's console, Tyrian put their harddrives and maybe some other little bits of tech in the satchel he brought with him. In but a minute Tyrian had all he needed that would please his Goddess.
No doubt these hard drives had information pertaining to the dimensional portal. In other words, Tyrian is done.
"..." That is until the scorpio faunus saw one last computer. Walking up to it, it showed video feeds of different areas. Must be controlling the few functioning cameras around here. Sitting down, Tyrian then wondered for a bit. All these heroes, villains, gathered in one place. Fighting to the best of their abilities, using whatever technique they had. Not holding back as doing so would mean death.
A wicked grin came onto Tyrian's face.
Getting to work, Tyrian took out a simple USB drive that the good doctor gave him. It did its work, where it helped that the camera cyber security is nowhere near as strong as what other computers might have. As the virus tore through the defenses, Tyrian yawned and took out his scroll, playing a little game to pass the time. After about five minutes, the scorpion faunus went back to his job and now had all the remaining security cameras under his control.
Van Kleiss and his forces are too busy to notice at all. The monitors now show countless heroes and villains, Tyiran already having the foresight to download all the footage the cameras recorded into a file which he would then proceed to send to his Goddess. Even sending them a link so that they can see the ongoing fights where later on, they can review the old fights later on.
"Hm?" Tyrian turned as he felt a shaking. It must be that great power he felt earlier. While Tyrian relished a good battle, even he could tell it'd be stupid for him to do so. Contrary to what his allies might say, Tyrian wasn't a complete blood-thirsty fighter who would fight anyone blindly like some lunatic. Why, it was insulting for them to think so.
Cracking his knuckles and then twisting his neck, Tyrian finished the uplink and got up. His Goddess and the others will soon get to see the current battle happening while he does some more reconnaissance. While watching on a monitor is one thing, even Tyrian would rather see this epic battle with his own two eyes than through a screen. And so Tyrian left while hearing more rumbling, wondering just what it is that could cause such absolute might.
Everyone in the town hasn't done much since the last attack.
Other than some more patrolling and a little fixing, the massive machine had been brought in with Salem even helping out. Calling upon many Grimm to watch it while the Gravity Dust laced over it ensured it couldn't even stand. Let aside move to cause trouble.
After that everyone had been doing their own thing.
From Watts checking on the inventory, Cinder training, Hazel reading a book while recovering from his injuries, learning about this world's history. As for Scorpia and Catra, they played a little game with Bandit Princess herself taking a nap. Despite the rather nasty loss they had alongside the panic with the strange war machine, life resumed on. Even antagonists could act like regular people to relax. Then a Seer came to each and every single one of them and gave them a call.
Now, all of them were with Salem where a screen had been set up along with a projector which is linked to a laptop. Watts finished the last touches while Salem gave an explanation on why they're here.
"I've just received a report from Tyrian. He's infiltrated Van Kleiss fortress and has hooked his scroll up to their security system. We can see everything happening there." Salem stated, with a please look on her face.
"Nice to see he did it." Scorpia grinned while Catra rolled her eyes.
"It is rather impressive. The news, while not going into the specifics, claims the area is under lockdown and is becoming akin to a warzone." Hazel says while Cinder just huffs.
"Whatever. Let's just see what we can get out of this." Sitting down on a chair, Cinder began preparing to see just who it is they might see in the battle. The news mentioning some of the best are there, meaning it'd be useful to see who they may potentially face against in the future. "Hurry it up Watts."
Arther growled a little but did continue setting up the system. Touching the screen section of the scroll and a holographic image from the projector came out where on the white screen one can now see the battle so that everyone can see it.
"Yoza! It's a full on gladiator match!" Catra exclaimed as they then saw the video showing what appears to be many heroes and some rather interesting villains. Some of whom looked really freaky.
"I know right." Scorpia walked in with a large bowl of popcorn. "This is something you don't see every day."
Catra raised an eyebrow as Scorpia placed the bowl of popcorn on the table but shrugged and grabbed some. "So, any idea who half these guys are?"
Scorpia looked up at the battle, whistling at the sight of it. "Well, I recognize a few of them outside of the Justice Friends."
Those with Salem listened to the two. While they tried their best, it wasn't easy looking up heroes and figuring out who they are. After all, being from another world meant they had no reference of who could be famous or just plain weak. Thankfully, it seems Scorpia and Catra were commenting which helped them out.
Scorpia looked at the woman in the green battle kimono as she slashed several human looking machines in half. "That's Genki Sanban, the wife of Japan's Prime Minister and current head of Sanban Industries."
"Oh yeah, I thought I recognized her." Catra remarked. "She's hailed as one of Japan's top Huntresses, even having the title "The Demon Blade of the East' because of how skilled."
"A corporate and the wife of a politician taking part in battle. Hmph, this really is a new world." Arthur commented, grabbing some popcorn.
Hey, it was free popcorn. Why not reward himself?
"Let's see…Who else…" Scorpia looked around and her eyes landed on Baron. "That's Baron Samedi, the leader of Team BATL, who graduated from Jade Academy in China. Oh! There's Joff and Nick Armory!"
"Who?" Bandit Princess asked.
Catra pointed at a man dressed like a soldier and the other one dressed like a monk. "Class V ranked Hunters. Nick is a weapon's master as well as a blacksmith and engineer and Joff is a graduate from Jade Academy like BATL. Polar opposites but they somehow suit each other perfectly, based on what I have read."
"Let's see…There's Hego from the Team Go, a hero with super strength to the point he's only rivaled by a handful in the world." Scorpia leaned forward and gasped. "Holy GOLB, is that Phil Ken Sebben?!"
Everyone watched as Sebben single handedly blocked a barrage of bullets with one hand as a time glyph appeared in his hand and the bullets froze before turning to dust.
"That clock glyph…" Salem mused, bringing a hand to her chin. "Judging by its actions, I suspect his Semblance to be…time based?"
Arthur's head spun towards Salem. "A time based Semblance? Impossible! Time based Semblances are nothing but a myth! The only things closest to time manipulation are the time glyphs produced by the Semblance of the Schnee family."
"Yeah, well there's one staring you in the face." Catra pointed at the image. "His Semblance is called Clockwork, it allows him to slow or speed up time around him. He can use it to move at super speed, increase his reaction time, enhance the strength of his attacks and he can even slow time to a complete stop. There's a good reason Sebben is considered the leader of the Hunter community on this planet and it's because outside of a few people, there's barely anyone who can challenge him."
Salem was silent as she watched Sebben single handedly fight off the thugs surrounding him. She thought he was similar to Ozma and yet there was something very different about him.
Regardless, everyone continued watching these fights and were, even if some were reluctant to admit it, impressed by what they saw. The skills shown, the technology seen, the unique semblances used. It was becoming clear that the heroes were doing more damage to the villains, at the very least, those onscreen. With these villains not doing bad themselves.
"Uh." Cinder then shivered as she saw what appeared to be…a giant lizard with a crystal arm. "Is that a faunus?"
"Looks ill." Hazel says with Catra shrugging.
"Don't look at me. I have no idea who that guy is." And man was he freaky. Then again, some of the villains they saw looked very unusual. This was to be expected though. Obviously, everyone in this room had no idea that some of these villains weren't even from Earth at all, but another. As such, to many these 'freaky' villains were just unknown villains aside from the few that did know the truth are elsewhere.
"I have to say," Hazel alludes to the Huntsmen he's seeing. "I'm surprised the Grimm and criminals here are a problem for the Huntsmen here. They seem considerably capable." Hazel can already tell many of these heroes and Huntsmen are steps above those back on Remnant, with only a few, very few, matching some of the fine warriors here.
"I wouldn't underestimate them." Scorpia chuckled before explaining, but that doesn't mean you should overestimate the general Huntsmen either."
"Yeah." Catra giggles as she eats some popcorn and drinks some water to clear her throat. "Of course the battle over there requires only the best. So naturally you'll simply see the best."
"That makes more sense now." From what Salem can see, it's becoming clearer and clearer that Earth did have superior Huntsmen when compared to Remnant. From their warriors to even their technology. But that didn't necessarily mean they were invincible. Despite the immense skill and power seen on the screen, that didn't equate to every Huntsmen on Earth having these skills. The towns Salem and her followers wrecked and stole from proved that as the Huntsmen they faced died no different from the ones in Remnant.
'Still,' The Queen of Grimm thought as she continued watching. 'There's no denying that this world has shown more potential than Remnant ever did.' Such a thought then made Salem question why? She hasn't read all the history books, which took time, though Salem did have a good idea on why this world is flourishing more compared to her world. Primarily, humanity existed before the Grimm, not after.
An inversion compared to Remnant's own history.
Still, such theories should be put aside and everyone continued watching like this was a film of sorts. A live-action non-fictional one that everyone seemed to enjoy. Obviously with some minor cheering when a villain managed to get the upper-hand with even Cinder finding herself intrigued.
However, such idle viewing came to a stop when everyone then saw them.
Two individuals. Van Kleiss and Scotty Blake.
Catra and Scorpia truthfully had little information on Van Kleiss nor even knew why he's such a problem other than having deadly tech and amassing an army. No more than that. But Scotty Blake they recognized. Knew. Everyone knew him, for very good reason. Those of Remnant told he's one of the best of the best, a living legend that walked the earth.
Then everyone watched Scotty power up.
"What is going on?" Cinder asked, watching a form of Aura surrounded the muscular bearded man fighting Van Kleiss.
"I…I don't know." Catra trailed off.
Then suddenly the man's Aura exploded around him, growing in size, power and even light. Salem's eyes widened, with everyone else now curious. Admittingly, the group couldn't get the full effect or understanding on what was happening. After all, they're watching through a screen, they weren't there in person to realize or even understand just what Scotty had done. Aside from Tyrian, all everyone in the room saw was a man glowing brightly.
"What in the world?" Arthur stood up as the holographic image of the battle projected from his scroll began to fizzle. "Is it interfering with the signal?"
Hazel was watching the power up as well and he felt a sudden surge through him, even though they were all far away from the battle. "No…This is something else…"
Yet even so, everyone could tell something had changed. The group may not be near or with the presence of what is, in truth, an ascendant…but even through a projector everyone could tell that this sheer, unrelenting power, isn't a normal power. So everyone stayed silent and merely watched. Knowing that this wasn't something they should pause for.
'Aw man.' Bandit Princess thought as she felt her legs shake and she brought them close together tight. 'I needa use the restroom.'
Which sucked. Because what could be more interesting than this?
"Uhmm. Uhh." It was dark, and there was pain. Not a lot of it of course, but enough that it stung, felt a little hot, while also making the body feel very uncomfortable. Now, the body stirred, awakening. Eyes opened and closed, their vision blurry.
"Huuu." Finding the use of their voice, the person slowly moved their limbs. Feeling themselves on something rough while their hands touched what appears to be grindy and rocky. Once they got a feel of their surroundings, slowly, they began sitting up. Their vision becoming more clear, only to see a purple bright light.
"Hm?" After a bit, the person soon realized they're not seeing a purple light exactly. Instead, they're seeing a circular purple glow before them. One that is surrounded by trees where there are many bodies nearby it. One with blonde hair.
"Y-Yang!" Silver eyes opened wide and Ruby shot up. She then hissed as she felt her muscles cry out. Her head also felt disoriented while sitting back down. Confused, Ruby looked around to see she was…in a forest? Looking down, Ruby saw she's on a rock with little pebbles on it.
None of this told Ruby how she even got here. Let aside everyone else. All she knew was that she and everyone else had been watching the operation of the portal when…when…
"It…exploded..?" A soft breeze hit Ruby's face, cooling her body a little. Looking down, Ruby saw some slight scorch marks on her outfit. Guess that the explosion also had fire in it or something, and explained the slight burns. Thank goodness aura is there to help out. Still, Ruby's rather puzzled by what's even going on. As she tried making sense of the situation, Ruby looked up.
"..? I must have really hit my head hard." Because since when was the moon whole.
Sorry for the wait, but I had stuff to do and this chapter is a little longer than the usual one. Anyway, I just had to post the actions on the current ongoing events of the main GrimmFall story, up until Van Kleiss did his thing in the latest chapter. Hope you like it cause we also saw Ironwood alongside Ruby in this new world with the others.
How this will change the game, who knows. Because for now, I'm gonna take a small break from this story. Maybe a month or two to let my imagination grow. Anyway, until next time.
