Chapter: A Ghost!?

Everyone dispersed, waving goodbye at Gan Fall. I left the place, ignoring the hostile eyes of others. After I got to safety, I read the plan that the 'Past me' has planned. As I continue to read the plan, a crazy grin formed under my mask.

I felt my adrenaline surge as I continued to read it. My heartbeat increased, just like when I was preparing for extreme sports.

"This is gonna be fun," I grinned, looking at the first step of the plan, which has a map attached to it. I sneaked towards the location on the map marked 'secret stash.'

There are also similar maps with different labels the 'past me' has prepared. Following the steps of the plan, along with the maps created by 'Past me,' I can easily follow the plan in detail.

Knowing that I won't follow the instructions completely as it would ruin the fun, 'Past me' has only provided a rough layout of the plan. I can get a gist of the overall plan from it. It also has some instructions that I MUST follow for this plan to be successful.

After reaching the location of the secret stash, "Sweet!" I exclaimed, looking at the content of the stash. It contains some Dials, a first-aid kit, bottles containing different liquids, and some prank tools.

I rubbed my hand eagerly. "So, what I should save? What I can use today?" I grinned, checking the labels on them that state their use. I took a backpack to fill it with heat dials, flame dials, water dials, and some miscellaneous dials.

Then I took the remaining things and filled them in a sack, then hid them near my orphanage. I checked the next step - 'Familiar with the area'- a map attached, with some place marked on it. So I went around Angel Island, familiarizing myself as well as perfecting the plan.

It is only around six in the evening. I returned to the orphanage, according to the 'Take Rest' - step in the plan to restore the energy. I woke up for dinner and had a hearty meal, ignoring the gloating look pointed at me by some idiots because of the trial.

Then I exited the orphanage and reached the sack I had hidden before. I took the breath dials & flavor dials which were labeled as sleep gas, fog, tear gas, smoke, etc., from it. "Tsk, tsk, tsk, It seems, 'I' concocted them by using the knowledge from the watch," I clicked my tongue, filling them in a sling bag I brought.

"Oh! there are more. 'I' was busy..." I murmured, packing the water dials, labeling dyes, paints, glues, laxatives, etc., in my sling bag.

I hid the sack back wearing the sling bag. "Good, there is no moon today. I can avoid so much trouble," I noted the sky, walking along the Lovely street I familiarized before. I hid the breath and flavor dials along the way, in bushes, trees, alleyways, near windows of houses and shops, the places that were marked on the map.

At last, I reached the port for the next step - 'Acquire a Dial boat.' I searched the port for a Dial Boat that satisfy my condition.

"Hmm, I need a dial boat, which is small enough," I muttered. When I saw a small dial boat arrive at the dock, it has a swan as its crown head.

I observed, as it slowly docked between two large Dial boats. I grinned, looking at the person getting off it.

"Well, well, well, look who is here. Isn't it the leader of the parent's group?" I sneered. "You are here at the perfect time," I followed him.

He is lucky because I don't want to alert others by doing something to him. I stole the key easily from him, alerting no one.

I returned to the dock, breathing hard. "Ha..hu...ha. This kid's body is a pain in the ass," I panted, starting the dial boat. I looked around the area to check whether the security returned from the distraction I had made and drove the boat away.

"Angel beach is near the orphanage," I mused.

"Let's go there. I need to get to the orphanage before curfew," I decided, stepping on the accelerator.

"Damn it! I can't drive with my short legs," I complained since I can't see at the front while stepping on the accelerator. In frustration, I took an oar from the boat, using it to press the accelerator. I reached Angel beach with some difficulty and beached it on the shore. I surveyed the area to find a place to hide the boat.

As I was searching around. "*Rustle* *rustle*" I heard a rustling sound from the nearby bushes, scaring me.

'Shit! If they arrive, they will find the boat along with me,' I vigilantly took a breath dial with 'sleeping gas' labeled to use it on the intruder. As I waited, a small white figure rushed out of the bush.

"AH! A Ghost!?" I screamed in surprise. And I calmed down after identifying the white figure that landed in front of me as a cloud fox.

"Haha, just kidding," I scratched my head in embarrassment. 'It seems telling horror stories also affected me,' I blamed, not accepting being scared.

"You know? You will be perfect prank material for acting as a ghost," I changed the topic quickly, to which it rolled its eyes. I can somehow distinguish its facial expression thanks to the Mink Gene, I guess.

"Sue~ sue~," it cried, looking at the boat, then squinted at me.

"Okay, you got me." I raised my hand. "I'm doing some sneaky stuff, but I will hurt no one," I explained, "I think," I added, scratching my head.

It thought for a while and "sue~ su~" cried, nodding its head.

"Hey, you are SU, right? Conis's pe...*cough*… Friend. Yeah! friend," I asked as it widened its eye in shock. "Su~ sue~" it shouted, waving its paw in a gesture.

"How do I know? You ask, right?" I guessed at its action, to which it nodded.

"It's not important how I know," I waved it off. 'I can't probably say I read it in a book, right?' I sweated thinking.

"Do you know who I'm?" I asked, diverting the topic.

"Su~ sue~" she nodded, waving its paws with admiration in its eyes.

"Haha, what!? You not only know me but are also a fan of my work," I laughed proudly to get an admirer.

"I also got my first fan for my pranks, hahaha," I laughed happily.

Then I looked at my little fan thoughtfully, "Hmm... Why don't you help me tonight?" I asked her after a while. She pointed her paw to itself in doubt, "sue~" I nodded positively.

She looked surprised at the answer and eyed me suspiciously. "You know I'm going to forget it, and only you will remember it," I incited her.

"Think about all the fun we can have, no one finding us," I goaded her. She finally agreed with a cunning glint in her eyes, shouting "SUE."

"SU! Where are you?" we heard a girl's voice calling from a distance.

"Oh! It looks like Conis came looking for you," I looked at the fox before smirking.

"Go before she changes her pet to a bug," I teased, to which she rolled her eyes.

"Come to the orphanage at midnight, bye-bye," I instructed at last before running to the Orphanage, after hiding the boat.

"Man, it looks good for the first time talking to an animal," I exclaimed on the way.

"Will it get better if I talked to more animals?" I thought excitedly.

"*sigh* Who cares? I will forget about it anyway," I shrugged in defeat.
