It's been over a month and I'm not stopping yet? Yay, me! I'll carry this entire archive on my back if I have to! Last chapter, we had another talk between Fuutarou and the old man, who confirmed that his soulmates were the five girls he met in the past, before ending it with a flashback that shows what exactly happened that day. Looks like we'll find out what happens next in this chapter! As always, if you liked this and want to see more fluff, don't hesitate to add this story to your faves/follows because it really helps me a lot. We're almost there in beating Quintessential Maids in terms of favorites and after that, Five Equal Angels is next! And now, let's head on to this chapter!

The older man sent an unamused look at the young girl, but decided to satisfy her curiosity nonetheless. Once he explains a few things to the kid, she'll leave and he won't see her again. Yeah, that's it, the kid was just trying to act like a goody-two-shoes and once he explains that the boy with him is a spoiled brat, she'll just move along. She looks like someone who'll listen to what her elders say...

"Hey kiddo, a woman talked to us about this brat and said he's been taking pictures of her. Now be a good girl and go back to your parents."

Much to the guard's surprise, the girl didn't look convinced and simply hummed, as if she was thinking deeply about something important.

"Hmm, if that girl says that this boy has been taking pictures of her, then I say that he wasn't! He was just walking near the bridge where he saw that girl! I don't really know if she was just acting crazy, but she screamed really loud when he just stared at her like this!" The girl explained, using different hand gestures to emphasize her points.

"What the hell is she trying to do…?" Fuutarou deadpanned in his mind, confused with what the girl is planning. Is she trying to help him or something? If that's the case, things won't end well for her since people like this guy will never listen to the words of a kid. Because of that, there's no point in appreciating what she was trying to do.

The security guard sneered, giving up on the idea of convincing the little girl. Obviously, she won't listen to him because children are stubborn like that.

"I don't have to listen to a nosy kid like you. Just go back to your mommy and daddy, alright? Or go check out the other places around. There's nothing for you to see here, little girl."

Yep, he called it.

However, instead of responding with another argument against the guard, the little girl simply stared up at the older man with a dead-serious look on her face, one that could be likened to someone who had no intention of playing around.

"Jiii…"

"Tch…" the guard scoffed, knowing exactly what this girl was trying to do. He had a daughter of his own, and the little bundle of joy would pout if she didn't get what she wanted. "Listen here, kid. If you don't get out of my sight now, I'll have to bring you to your parents myself and trust me, you don't want that."

"Jiiiiiii…"

Okay, she was good, the guy could give her that. The girl's serious face was more intense than his own daughter's, and it was starting to get to him for some reason. But regardless, he was definitely stronger than a little kid whom he didn't even know!

"O…kay, that's enough now. I'm telling you kid, go back to your parents or there's going to be trouble for you too. Surely you don't want your own parents seeing their daughter getting scolded by someone like me?"

"Jiiiiiiiiiiiiii…"

Damn it! This girl was really getting on his nerves and that damn stare made it seem like she was looking into his very soul! How the hell was she doing this?! This was just a little kid who was in the wrong place at the wrong time! He had to stop her before things get worse for him!

"I'm warning you, kid! D-Don't test my patience, you hear? Y-You better stop what you're doing! I-I-I mean it…!"

Welp, it seems like the guard's outer shell was breaking… and it's because of a kid. A goddamn kid. That kid also happened to be a girl, by the way. That's gotta be a big blow on the man's pride.

How embarrassing.

"Jiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii…!"

The reaction from the older man was almost instant.

"ARGH, GET AWAY FROM ME, YOU FREAKY BRAT! I'M OUTTA THIS PLACE, SCREW THAT GIRL!"

As the young Fuutarou watched the security guard run away, not even caring about him anymore, he could hear the sound of giggling from behind him. Upon turning around, he saw the red-haired girl approaching him with a smile, no doubt celebrating her successful attempt in driving that security guard away.

Okay, while that guard didn't really listen to the girl's plea about letting him go because he was innocent, he was still proven wrong about his assumption that things won't end well for her. In fact, she came out of their exchange as the victor… something he had never done before against any form of authority.

It could be that this girl was either insanely lucky, or that stare she gave the guard was just that powerful… which is unsettling to think about.

He raised an eyebrow at her, deciding to ask the question that was bugging him ever since she started speaking with that security guard. "Why did you do that? You have nothing to gain from helping me, you know?" he asked in a bored tone.

"You looked like you needed help, so lent you a hand," she giggled, linking her hands behind her before leaning forward to give him a cute smile.

"I didn't need your help," he replied, remaining unaffected.

The girl's smile turned into a pout as she gave Fuutarou a little frown. What was his problem? It's like he woke up on the wrong side of bed and hit his head somewhere…

"Mou, is that any way to thank your savior? Officer-san would have taken you away if I didn't speak up for you."

Fuutarou almost let out a sardonic chuckle at her words, but decided that it wasn't worth it. Who knows what might happen? He might come off as a delinquent in the eyes of other people which he was aware of, but he wasn't a bad person. He simply wanted to be left alone most of the time, and it pisses him off when people can't respect that.

However, this was a girl that he had never met before and she didn't know about that certain bit. For now, he can tolerate her presence because, after all, she did save him from having to go with that security guard. That would've been a drag, because it doesn't change the fact that he didn't even do anything for that guy to start assuming things.

"Speak up for me? More like you scared him away with your staring because he wasn't listening to you," he pointed out.

The girl hummed in confusion for a moment, before shrugging her soldiers nonchalantly. "Fair enough. I didn't really think it would work, but I guess Papa's 'mega-serious stare' is effective on anyone!"

"It didn't really work on me…" he snickered, turning his gaze to the side before frowning at the girl. Come to think of it, where the hell did she come from? He didn't notice her presence until she showed herself to him, which made him somehow curious about where she was just now. "Where did you come from, by the way? You couldn't have seen me getting dragged away by that oji-san, unless you were following me for some reason."

The girl blushed slightly from his assumption that she was following him, before letting out a laugh and then shaking her head.

"No, I was just standing over there earlier, looking at the temple. Then I heard someone screaming, and I saw another girl running away from you. I didn't know what was happening until I saw Officer-san came and started accusing you," she explained, pointing to the part of the bridge where she was standing peacefully just a while ago.

His frown became deeper, though he did get her point. Maybe he just wasn't paying attention to his surroundings much like always, that's why he wasn't able to notice her. Yeah, his mind was solely focused on getting rest earlier, so there's no surprise there.

"So you didn't really see what happened? No wonder the guy didn't believe you."

"Mou, I just didn't think you were doing anything bad! You were just sitting here earlier, right? Or were you really doing something wrong?" The girl exclaimed a bit louder this time, her blush growing deeper from either embarrassment or frustration. Her pout returned full-force, now bigger than it originally was earlier.

His frown disappeared almost immediately, before he shrugged his shoulders. Hm, for some reason, this girl had a short fuse… which was somehow like him? He can also get frustrated quite easily with people who act deaf and can't understand that he doesn't want to be bothered.

"I was just curious."

"Well, there you go! Now you know how I saw you!" The girl's pout disappeared as if it was never there, and it was replaced with a huge grin. Almost immediately, she gasped upon stumbling on a great idea that popped into her mind out of nowhere. "Do you want to take a walk around with me? It could be fun!"

"No," he shot her idea down as quickly as Kazuto Kirigaya racking up different girls into his 'harem' from Sword Art Online.

By the way, that anime sucks to the point that the old god made a note never to watch it.

Once again, the girl gave him the biggest pout she has given today, puffing her cheeks as much as she could. Not only that, she even stepped forward and came face-to-face with the boy.

Literally.

"Mmuuu, you didn't even think about your decision! Do you hate me?" she asked in a grumpy tone, all while her cheeks had turned red from their faces being very close to one another.

Fuutarou's bored expression wavered from how close this girl was to him, which forced him to lean his head back and he wasn't able to stop a blush from appearing on his cheeks. Despite being somewhat of a delinquent, he was still a normal boy with a weakness for girls who get too close to him, even if this was literally the first time that that happened.

"I never said that and I don't need to think about my answer, either. I just know your idea is a terrible one. You don't want to be around me, so I'm saving you the trouble. Consider this my way of thanking you since you seem hung up about it."

"Mmuuu, you don't know that! We haven't even walked together yet!"

What was wrong with her? Why the hell was she persistent on walking with him? Was it because she's alone and had no one with her? Ugh, why did it have to be him? He wasn't a babysitter!

"Like what that oji-san said, just go back to your parents or something. You're better off with them than wasting your time here with me."

Fuutarou scoffed and turned away, giving her another deep frown. He didn't want to get angry and lash out at this girl, but he was getting close to that point! It's almost like she was asking for it because she just won't leave him alone! He gave her the opportunity already, but she's being so persistent about walking with him for some reason!

Meanwhile, the girl continued to pout at the boy as if she didn't want to be denied. Despite the frown on his face, she kept on puffing her cheeks in a big pout, which abruptly ended when the two heard several other voices that came from people who were approaching them. It seemed that the girl knew who those voices belonged to, judging from the nervous look that took over her features almost instantly.

"Hey, there you are!"

"Jeez, we've been looking everywhere for you! We thought we lost you or something!"

"You shouldn't do that to your sisters…"

"We are disappointed in you!"

Fuutarou, seeing this as an opportunity to tell these new people to take the girl away since they seemed to know each other, turned back to face them with a serious look. However, the moment he saw who these people were, the boy couldn't stop his eyes from widening and his jaw slowly dropping.

"What the hell…" he muttered in shock.

There were four girls.

Four girls who wore the same dress as the girl with him.

Four girls who looked exactly like the girl with him.

Was he seeing things…?

Almost immediately, just from seeing these girls, Fuutarou felt something ran through his entire body. It was something akin to an electric shock that one can receive from touching an open circuit, and Fuutarou felt it all throughout his body! He froze in place as a result and his eyes widened, as he got attacked by a big headache at the same time.

It didn't stop there. Just after feeling an initial shock run through his body, it was quickly followed up by another one! Fuutarou felt his whole body weaken with this, but was still left standing despite that. Without any warning, another shock went through his body and was followed by one more! Fuutarou's eyes widened to the point that they were burst from their sockets.

"W-What the hell is… happening to me?!" he shouted in his thoughts, as he felt like he was going to explode at any moment.

He didn't eat some kind of spicy chili before this as far as he could remember…

Meanwhile, the girl whom Fuutarou met turned around to face the others who were apparently looking for her, and sent them a nervous smile. "Ehehe, sorry everyone… I saw this boy getting accused by an officer earlier for something he didn't do, and I decided to help him!"

The one who seemed like she was the leader of the girls only shook her head in disappointment. "You still shouldn't have wandered away because who knows what could have —"

*THUD!*

Her next words were cut off when all of them heard a loud thud nearby, causing them to turn their heads the source of that sound. And so, they were met with the sight of Fuutarou Uesugi laying there on the ground with spirals for his eyes, about to pass out from the continuous electric shocks that his body received out of nowhere.

"Oh no!" The girl who was talking with him earlier quickly reaction, rushing towards him before kneeling by his side. "Hey! What happened?!"

"Hnnngggggh…" the boy said almost in a robotic manner, as if he was completely devoid of life.

Her eyes grew wider in panic before she turned to her four doppelgangers, whoever they were. "This is bad! Everyone, quick! Let's get him somewhere else!"

"Who's this boy…?"

"I'll explain later! Right now, we have to help him!"

"Roger that!"

Whatever followed after that was completely unknown to the young man, who passed out from feeling his whole body get electrocuted four times over then falling to the ground before hitting his head hard, and it all happened when he laid his eyes on those four girls…

For what reason exactly?

Well, that happened. Damn, whoever the girl that Fuutarou first met is a badass, lol. Making a grown man leave just by staring at him, hahahahaha! I guess that's what happens when your dad is Maruo. But look at that ending! The other four girls have finally appeared, but Fuutarou faints out of nowhere! I suppose this is what him and the old man were talking about last chapter... what's gonna happen next? Tune in next time!

Goodbye... and good night! BANG! *too sweet gesture*
