The rest of the semester at shade passed without much incidence, and as winter break started, three members of Shade's staff boarded a bullhead that was bound for Beacon. As the Bullhead carrying Aurum, Rumpole, and Theodore landed at Beacon, Aurum fidgeted nervously in her seat.

"Are you alright?"

"Huh!? Oh, uh. Just a bit nervous, I haven't been in Vale for over 4 years now... And now I'm about to lie to one of the most powerful people in the world. Its a bit nerve wracking." Ruby Replied as she turned to answer Theodore

"Ozpin will be fine, I'd be less worried about Oz, and more about how you'll react to your Mother being there, or seeing Qrow for the first time in god knows how long."

Ruby frowned, I haven't seen mom in over 14 years... and now it'll be like shes never met me before.
Outwardly, Ruby Spoke, "I'll be fine, I just hope they don't ask the wrong questions."

"It'll be fine, you'll always have a place at Shade. Even if this meeting goes south, which it wont." Rumpole added, speaking for the first time.

"I hope so" Ruby Replied

Beacon hadn't changed much, Ruby noted as she walked through the familiar campus, she noted a few differences, The Cafeteria was smaller, and the central plaza was a little more alive, with many more flowers and less shrubbery. But overall Beacon looked nearly identical to how it looked 16 years in the future. The three made their way up into Vale's CCT tower and asked the receptionist to speak to Ozpin, they promptly entered the elevator and arrived into Ozpin's office.

As the doors opened, Aurum took note of 5 People standing in the room, one was Gene- Headmaster Ironwood, Then her Uncle Qrow, then Ozpin himself, Then Was Glynda Goodwitch, and last was her mom, Summer Rose.

Swallowing her fear, and suppressing the urge to glomp her mother, she walked in, followed by Theodore and Rumpole.

"Ah, It seems the last of our Cabal has joined us, along with a new recruit. Theodore, please introduce us to your new addition to the cast." Ozpin Spoke as he noticed the three enter

Theodore waved his hand in front of Aurum, "This is Aurum Lazuli, Newly hired teacher of ballistics and the art of the semblance at Shade, I believe the rest she can do herself."

Picking up on the queue, Aurum stepped forward, "H-Hi uh, As you already know I-I'm Aurum, Uh Theodore hired me A-About 9 Months ago, uh" Aurum felt a hand on her shoulder and looked to her left to see Rumpole with an assuring smile on her face, closing her eyes, She took a deep breath and stood a bit taller, "I'm the Maiden of Summer, And I'm an Awakened Silver Eyed Warrior, And I have two Semblances."

This drew various reactions, Ironwood's Eyes Widened a bit, Qrow didnt react at all, Summer's eyes widened to comical proportions, and she started dancing on her toes, Glynda narrowed her eyes a bit, and Ozpin Simply lifted an eyebrow.

Ozpin sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, "Go ahead Summer."

Summer instantly poofed into a cloud of white rose petals and appeared directly in front of Aurum, with ridiculous speed she began spouting off questions at a ridiculous speed, "Oh my god, your eyes are awakened? How do you use them on Command? What weapon do you use? I use a bow-sword-rifle combo, I love your cloak, Can we be best friends? What are your semblances? Does it feel weird to be a maiden?"

Aurum leaned back slowly as Summer spouted off her questions, and once she was done Aurum nodded and tried her best to answer, "Well uh, in order, Yes my eyes are awakened, to use them on command you have to think about protecting life, or preserving the light in the darkness, I use a High Impact Sniper-Scythe, Yes I will absolutely be cloak buddies with you, My semblances are Chance Manipulation and Something I call Petal Burst, And actually it feels fairly normal to be a Maiden."

When Aurum was done she looked up at Summer and saw her concentrating really hard, she shook her head and put her hand on her shoulder, and Summer looked up, opening her eyes "Its a very specific mindset, here, this is how I first did it on command."

Aurum stared at Summer, "Close your Eyes." Summer did So, "Now Focus on the sound of my voice, The words that I'm saying. You have Friends? Family? Think about them, Think about all The good times, now Imagine it being ripped away, Imagine losing everyone you love, you can stop that from happening, Think... Life Is Fragile, Life Is Beautiful, Life Is Precious, And It Must. Be. Protected."

Summer opened her eyes, and gasped, the world was painted grey, Aurum snapped a photo of her and Summer blinked, upon opening her eyes once more the world was back to normal. Aurum snapped another photo of Summer's face, and then turned the phone around to show Summer,

"See that sheen on your eyes? That silver glow in the back of your iris is the power of the silver eyes trying to get out, whenever you want to use your power, just think about what I said, get into the mindset I just put you in, or think about whatever it was that popped into your head at the time, and you'll be able to call upon the light.

"Woah..." Summer said while placing her hand under her eye and staring at the photo of herself.

Looking past Summer, Aurum saw the rest of the room staring at the two, she found that Theodore and Rumpole had moved to the edge of the room as she walked Summer through the process of using her Silver eyes.

Everyone in the Room was looking at her with varying levels of skepticism save Theodore, Rumpole, and Summer.

"Now that Summer has had her Curiosity sated, I believe there are a few matters to discuss, first I believe it is imperative that we share brief histories, and abilities with one another so that we might work better together in the future, now Aurum, If you'll start us off?"

"oh, uhh, Well as you know, My name is Aurum Lazuli, I'm 27, er 28 I attended Shade and graduated in 62, I Got the Powers of the Summer maiden about a year and a half ago and I've been working at Shade for just this past semester, My semblances are the manipulation of probability to almost an absurd degree, and Petal Burst, Where I Transmute my mass and the mass of anyone else im touching or I touch afterwards into flower petals, and then I can traverse at extremely high speed. I've only ever tested how fast I can move once, and when I did I almost killed my self by going supersonic. Oh uh and I unlocked my Silver eyes when I was 16, Long story short, Apathy had me down on the ground when this woman came and slaughtered them, when she picked me up she saw my eyes and knew I was like her, so after that she stayed around a few weeks, helped me, trained me up a bit and taught me how to use my eyes, Then one day she left, and I havent seen her since."

"Interesting, What was this woman's name?" Ozpin aked

"Maria Calevera, The Grimm Reaper."

Qrow's Eyes blew wide, and he spit out the alcohol he had been swigging "YOU MET THE GRIMM REAPER?!"

Aurum suppressed a chuckle, "Yes, I did, I even based my weapon off of hers, I was using just a Sniper Rifle, but she suggested I add a Melee Weapon to it, and so 6 weeks at the table and a week at the forge made this baby." Aururm Unfurled Her weapon and had to stop herself from bursting out laughing at the expressions of Glynda, Qrow and Ironwood."

Ozpin narrowed his eyes, "An Impressive Weapon, Tell Me, what metal is that blade? Ive never quite seen a blade that glows such a bright blue."

Luckily Aurum was prepared for that, she had only had her magic for 3 months at the moment, and in that time she spent most of it practicing an type of magic not usually studied by Maidens. Illusions, Aurum had spent nearly all of her practice time perfecting her use of Illusory magic, and though she hadn't quite mastered it, she had gotten proficient enough for at least this.

"Its a Cobalt-Steel with dust infusion, Blue is it's normal color because it matches my outfit, but It changes colors when I use it for elemental attacks, like this."

Aurum then used a bit of illusionary magic to change the color scheme of her blade and entire outfit, Changing every bit of that bright blue hue to a glowing yellow. Smiling Brightly, she continued "This is Lightning Dust" She the turned her Outfit and weapon to a deep purple, "Gravity" Then Orange, "Fire" Then a bright baby blue, "Ice" She then dropped her illusory magic and her outfit and weapon returned to the bright Godly blue they actually were."

Throughout this demonstration Ozpin Relaxed, Seeing nothing wrong with how she had explained her unusual weapon.

"Alright Aurum, I believe that is Enough talking about yourself, lets move on, James?"

Ironwood nodded and looked to Aurum, "My name is James Ironwood, Headmaster of Atlas Academy, I am 36, My semblance Is Mettle, it strengthens My resolve in my actions, at the sacrifice of seeing mistakes in my thinking or at the sacrifice of morals. I use dual revolvers named Due Process. I have served with distinction in the atlas military for 15 years, and I have been Headmaster for 3, On my 4th mission after graduating, I made a mistake, that cost my team their lives, and me half of my body. Qrow."

Qrow stepped forwards off the wall he had been leaning on and spoke, "Qrow Branwen, I'm 26, I Graduated 5 years ago from Beacon, My team was Stark, Me, my Sister, Summer, and her Husband.
I've worked with Oz for the past 5 years, and I've never been led astray yet. My semblance is bad luck, not for me, but for everyone and everything around me. My weapon is a Great-sword-shotgun-Scythe Combo named Harbinger. Glynda"

He left out the bird part Aurum noted

"My name is Glynda Goodwitch, I am 30, and I've been teaching at Beacon for 6 years, My semblance is level 8 Telekinesis, with enough aura I can move over 3000 tonnes, and I can manipulate matter to such a degree that I can manipulate Molecular bonds with enough concentration, my weapon is a Riding Crop called the Disciplinarian, I use it as a focus for Dust-casting and Semblance use. Ozpin."

"My name is Ozpin, or Oswald, or Oscar, or any number of other names. I am headmaster Of Beacon, but I have been many other things, King, Councilman, Warrior, Conqueror, Huntsman. I am A man adrift in time locked in eternal combat with my adversary, I am one of six total magic users left on this planet, and I have fought in defense of this world for thousands of years. My weapon Is The Long Memory, It is but a simple Extendable Cane. My Semblance this incarnation is called Aftershock, With any given strike, I can use aura to delay it and make another in its place, doing this I can make tens of strikes and have them all land at once, similarly I can use my semblance to dodge any number of strikes or projectiles, even if they would have hit me all at once."

Ozpin paused and looked to Theodore, "I presume you filled her in on Her?" Theodore nodded "Well then, I believe we have covered everything, Any questions Miss Lazuli?"

Aurum simply shook her head, and Ozpin nodded, "Well then, now that introductions are over, its time to get down to business.

Alright, Sorry Its been a bit, I just didn't know where to take this story, and other more important things once again became prevalent in my life, but I at least got this one out. No promises on future chapters, but there will be a next chapter, I'm not leaving it there.
