Team RWBY were in the midst of a Duel. Not some normal duel like a sparring match or training. No, Team RWBY was fighting a giant mech with the most wanted thief in the kingdom inside. As Yang charged up for her final attack, Summer lied in wait, watching from right where her Eldest had said to, waiting for the perfect moment.

As the fight came to a finish a single white rose petal floated down from up upon the highway, floating to rest right on Torchwick's shoulder right as he got up, looking to it in confusion he made to brush it off, before out of nowhere, a fully grown white cloaked woman was within a foot of him, forcing him to the ground

Team RWBY watched on in confusion, wondering just what Ruby's mother was doing there. As Summer pulled out her scroll to call for extraction, Torchwick yelled into seemingly empty space, "EM, GET OUT OF HERE I'LL BE FINE!"

A scowl crossed Summer's face I'm gonna have to tell Rubes about that... wonder if that means... hmm I guess we'll see. The police cars appeared on the horizon, and Team RWBY looked sheepish, nearly about to flee.

"Oh no you don't, What were you thinking? Going on a mission like this without telling anyone, If I didn't get a heads up, this guy would have gotten away, then where would you be?" Summer sternly addressed the group. Then, interrupting the lecture, two officers approached the five of them with weapons drawn, "Stop right where you are, hands in the air, Identify yourselves immediately!"

The entire group except Summer immediately complied, Summer on the other hand spoke in a calm voice, "Huntress ID SR-0621RX, Authorization Code: Grey Sun. Weapons down officers, these four are beacon team RWBY, and in my custody I have wanted criminal Roman Torchwick."

The Officers kept their weapons drawn as the one who called out the orders ran the ID and Auth Code. After a brief moment, they put their weapons down, walking up to the criminal who had been hogtied by Summer, and cuffed him, while a third officer walked up from the line of police cars to speak to Summer.

"Sorry bout that Miss, but protocol is what it is, now, mind tellin' me what happened 'ere?"

Summer sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose, waving her hand to the sheepish looking team RWBY, "These four thought vigilantism was a good way to spend their time off. Their plan almost worked which I must commend them for..." Team RWBY then perked up a bit, the two sisters giving each other a high-five, with Ruby quipped "Oh Yeah!"

"But, if I hadn't been here then Torchwick would've gotten away, and then all this destruction would be for nothing, which to be honest it still is." Summer finished with a stern look towards her now cowed daughters.

"Well that's all well an' good maam, casualty report s' still comin' in, but we're lookin' at quite a bit of property damage here. You have any idea how much highway supports cost? Let alone the closures for construction. You might be lookin' at a lawsuit on yer hands."

Summer sighed once again then whipped out her scroll, dialing Opzin and putting him on speakerphone.

"Ah, Summer. For what do I owe the pleasure of your calling?" Ozpin Said as soon as the call went through.

"I need some damage control, My daughter's team got into a scuffle under the south-east highway network, and there was a load of damage to the infrastructure. I got law enforcement here asking for someone to take responsibility."

A deep sigh came from the scroll as far away in his office Ozpin rubbed his temple, "Beacon will cover the expenses. Tell the officer to send us the bill. And tell Team RWBY to meet me in my office at 6AM tomorrow morning to discuss their punishment."

Back under the freeway, Summer got a cheeky smile on her face and replied, "I'll be sure to pass on the message, but I think you should know that their efforts made the capture of Roman Torchwick possible."

Ozpin started to speak once more, "Wait What? Hold on a-"

Summer hung up on Ozpin, shooting a smile to the team, along with a thumbs up. The officer watched on in disinterest. Speaking once Summer's attention was back on him, "Welp, that about does it, have a good night yall."

As the officer walked away both Summer and Blake heard him mumble, "An X Rank Huntress, and the Headmaster of Beacon... Tch, I dont get paid enough for this crap."

Summer watched the officer walk away, then turned to her daughter's team with a cocky smile on her face, "Welp, You guys get off easy this time..." Summer's eyes gained a dangerous glint, "But if I catch wind of you fighting crime without adult supervision again, all of you are going to be grounded into the dirt for at least a year."

Weiss began to protest, "But you're not even Blake's mother nor my ow- " Only to be interrupted by Summer, now with a bright happy smile on her face, "Mother or not I'll ground you either way, anyways, Toodles!"

Summer then poofed in a cloud of white rose petals, disappearing with a soft thump.

Weiss looked to the Rose-Xiao long duo with a confused look on her face, "How did she?"

Ruby sighed, "Its Mom's semblance, she leaves white rose petals around wherever she goes, then whenever she wants she can teleport to any one of them. Though they expire after a few hours, kinda like mine."

One of the white rose petals left behind by Summer's disappearance floated over to the middle of the group landing in Weiss's outstretched hand, as Weiss and Blake inspected the curious petal, Summer, who had been waiting nearby in her previous hiding spot, then teleported to it, screaming into the Duo's face, "BOO!" Before once again disappearing.

The two screamed and jumped back, All of Blake's hair and fur standing on edge like a spooked cat. The sisters both watched on as the other half of their team recovered, rolling in mirth at their mother's antics.

Summer poofed into her home on patch, rolling with laughter, belly laughing as Tai watched on with a small smile on his face. Summer laughed for a solid minute, remembering the startled look on the Schnee heiress's face. After a short while she had recovered enough to pull out her scroll and call her Eldest Daughter, "Brrrrrr... Brrrrrr... Hey Mom! Hows it going!"

Summer replied, "He-Hey Rubes, I-ha did the thi-hing you asked me to do-ho"

"Uhhh Mom? You okay?"

Summer calmed herself, though the smile was still very much present on her face, she replied, "Sorry, I just scared the living daylights out of your old teammates, it was hilarious. You should've seen their faces, it was absolutely priceless."

Ruby chuckled a bit, "sounds funny, if a bit mean, its whatevs, did you get him?"

Summer's mood quickly became more serious, "Yeah... I got him, but I think he found a replacement for Neo..."

Ruby gasped, "Who?"

Summer responded, "When I got him, he yelled into seemingly empty space to someone he referred to as Em. My guess? Emerald Sustrai."

Ruby sat in thought, her plans were getting delayed and set back with every discovery, First the council stonewalls the investigation of my would be assassin, then the flight for the student exchange is delayed due to a Grimm horde, and now Torchwick has Emerald as his henchwoman? Hmmm.

Ruby gained a fierce look on her face, "Thanks mom, see you soon. Click"

Ruby then got up from out of bed and donned her cloak, making sure to wrap and clasp it so as to not give away that she was dressed in pajamas. Making her way to the headmaster's office, where she knew Theodore to be. As she entered the office, Theodore looked up from the paperwork he was doing, "Ah Aurum, what brings you into my office at such a time?"

Ruby pulled her hood down, revealing that she wasn't wearing her contacts, "Theodore, I want to join the exchange program. I want to teach at Beacon for the tournament."

Theodore closed his eyes and let out a breath. He knew this day would come.

"Very well Ruby... But please... be careful. I know you came back with nothing to lose and everything to gain. But... don't throw yourself at an unwinnable battle because you think its worth the sacrifice. I... I don't know what I'd do if I found out our best hope had been extinguished."

A solemn look on her face, but conviction in her eyes, Ruby exited the office, returning to her apartment to pack.

Theodore sat in his now empty office, deep in thought. I hope you come out alright Ruby... for the sake of all of us.
