Aurum entered the next car, coming face to face with her next opponent, none other than the Leader of the Vale Branch of the White Fang himself, Adam Taurus,

"So, this is the so called Reaper of Chance?" Adam said as he appraised the woman before him, "I can't wa-"

"Save it Taurus. I don't need to hear your Spiel of equality, lets just fight so I can win and bring you to justice." Aurum cut Adam off snappily, a cold look in her normally cheerful eyes.

"Hmph, very well." Adam scoffed, but complied.

The two entered a ready pose and locked eyes, with Aurum drawing her weapon for the first time that day, both began watching their opponent carefully. Then, right at the peak of the tension, a loud thump could be heard from the car behind. Instantly both fighters sprung into action, Adam's blade slicing towards the left side of Aurum. Aurum returned in kind by spinning her massive scythe in an upwards swing, knocking Adam's sword off its path, and striking Adam in the chest with its extreme mass, knocking the faunus off balance.

Adam tried quickly to regain his balance, but Aurum was too fast, as soon as her strike had hit home she had gone for a back flip, her feet extended out and struck the already off balance Adam directly in the chin. Adam flew upwards, the momentum of the kick making him strike the ceiling before coming back to land on the floor.

Aurum then stopped her Scythe swing, and reversed it, rotating her weapon so that it would strike downwards. As Adam began to get up from his place on the ground, he noticed Aurum spinning her scythe, and his eyes widened. He recognized that look, He had worn it many a time in the past.

Adam attempted to get away, bringing Wilt up to block the impending blade. But as Aurum advanced and their blades met, Adam was shocked to see the bright godly blue of Crescent rose's blade pass through his sword like butter.

Aurum continued her advance on Adam, a cold and determined look on her face as she approached. In her time preparing, she had made plans for every member of Salem's entourage. Adam... was not on that list. She had simply forgotten about Adam. But, upon seeing his face, she remembered everything Adam had done.

Ruby Rose was going to kill Adam Taurus. It would bring her body count to 19, she had kept count.

Ruby had tried not to kill in the past, she had made it through many many battles without killing her opponent, capturing several high value targets. But... Like everyone, she made mistakes. Her first kill happened 8 months after arriving in the past, it was a bandit, common for Vacuo. She hadn't slept for 3 days after.

Her second kill was another bandit, as was her 3rd and 4th. Ruby found that after every kill, it got easier to stomach. She did not like that. In total, Ruby had killed 3 corrupt huntsmen, 11 bandits, and 3 assassins. Her 18th kill, was the only one she lost no sleep from. When Ruby Rose Killed Cinder Fall, she had expected to feel the normal feelings, guilt, regret, that emptiness in her chest. Instead... Ruby was elated, she felt... Happy, relieved even; That scared her.

Ruby was resolute as she approached Adam, the facade of Aurum Lazuli falling away like water, Her demeanor shifted and her eyes gained a steely shine... where before she was Aurum Lazuli, an experienced Huntress attempting to apprehend the terrorist Adam Taurus; Now, she was Ruby Rose, Time Traveler chosen by the gods to stop Salem at all costs. The change was subtle, but clear.

As Ruby continued to approach, Adam drew blush, aiming his shotgun-sheath towards the terrifying woman as she slowly approached him, firing at the approaching huntress, but Ruby just redirected her spinning scythe, swiping across Adam's arm and sending blush to the wall.

Adam's aura flickered.

"Sorry Adam, but this has to happen."

Adam felt an emotion he hadn't felt in a long time... Fear.

"Any last words Adam Taurus?"

Adam asked the only question on his mind, "W-who... no... what are you?"

Ruby sighed and flared her maiden powers, the flames came bursting out of her eyes.

"I'm the Yang to Cinder's Yin."

Adam's eyes widened, and then he knew no more.

Ruby looked at the fresh corpse of Adam and collected herself. She willed her maiden powers away, and steeled herself, slipping back into the role of Aurum Lazuli. She reminded herself to tell Blake of Adam's fate, and took to the roof where Team RWBY was.

"Professor are you alright?" Called the familiar voice of Weiss Schnee

"...yes. Yes I am." Aurum shook off the adrenaline from her fight with Adam.

Aurum then glanced to the front of the train, where she saw the cave in she had created earlier quickly approaching. Aurum turned to Team RWBY and called them all together, asking Weiss to surround them in Ice. Weiss succeeded with only half a second between success and death.

Neo's patrol had been uneventful thus far, just some random Ursa packs and one King Taijitu, she was still anticipating her mother's arrival. As the clock reached roughly 5:20 The whole patrol began moving, all 3 bullheads had taken off to one location. As they drew near, it was clear why her mother had asked for her assistance.

The front end of a train sat halfway out the ground, with Team RWBY and her mother fighting fiercely to stop the Grimm from overtaking them. Neo flinched slightly as the bullheads began firing, and she soon added her own fire to the hail of gunfire.

As soon as her bullhead got remotely close to the group, Neo leaped from the bullhead, executing an illusion jump right as she was about to touch the ground, cancelling her momentum. Landing right next to her mother, she called out to her as she began to assist in fighting the Grimm, "This is what you wanted my help for?! What happened to my overprotective mom!?"

Aurum swiped casually through the Grimm attacking her, as she turned to address her daughter, "You joined a school that taught you how to protect yourself. I wouldn't be a very good teacher if I never let you get any experience."

Neo scoffed with a smile, "So you just wanted to be there for my first real encounter with the enemy?"

A serious look flashed over Aurum's face, but it was gone just as fast as it came, replaced by a playful glare, "I 'wanted' to coddle my daughter and protect her from everything that meant to harm her. However, when she was 8 years old, she asked to be a huntress... so there went that dream."

Neo laughed as she fought and continued her conversation, not paying attention to the others in their little Grimm murder circle, "So you go from 'I don't want anything to hurt her ever' to 'Hey Kiddo, lets go fight a horde of mankind's sworn enemy together' ?"

Aurum gained a blinding smile, "Yep~!"

Aurum gave a wink to her daughter and called out to the whole group, "Alright, I think the students have had enough, Ruby, What's your team's aura levels?"

Ruby stepped into the center of the circle to pull her scroll out, and replied, "all of us but Yang are at about 20%, Yang is at 13%."

Aurum looked to her daughter, "You?"

Neo flared her aura as she fought, and replied, "I'm sitting at around 70%"

Aurum gained a large grin and called out the the group again, "Well Miss Xiao Long, you said you wanted to see a pro huntress in action, I hope I don't disappoint.

Aurum then increased the speed of her scythe, pushing her way out into the horde of Grimm surrounding them, she then began to move quicker, her scythe becoming nothing more than a glowing blue blur around her body, leaving behind a trail of dead Grimm. She then began to walk out further, her blade intercepting any Grimm before it could get to her.

Aurum then took a deep breath, Inhale She reversed her grip on Crescent Rose, stopping it in its tracks, She closed her eyes as the Grimm closed in. As the First Grimm's claw was about to strike her, Exhale She Exploded in a cloud of golden rose petals, taking off at nearly 80MPH as she circled the hole in the ground where Teams RWBY and NSVD were, her scythe cutting through swathes of Grimm like they weren't even there.

Aurum continued accelerating, until she was running at 140MPH with her scythe swinging in various different directions, going in circles until nearly all the Grimm were dead. As she finished, she came to a stop right in front of Neo, planting her scythe in the ground and brushing down her clothes. As she came to a stop she exclaimed, "Woooph, jeez. That was a lot of Grimm... Not as much as Initiation island, but I guess they're comparable." A beat of silence passed, "What's up with you guys, you seem less talkative than normal."

Teams RWBY and NSVD, with the exception of Neo and Scarlet, were staring wide eyed.

Ruby was the first to speak, "Oh... My... Gosh... THAT WAS AWESOME! How did you do that!?" She looked to Neo and pointed at her, "Can you do that!? Did she teach you that?!"

Neo laughed, "I am nowhere near as good as her, but yes my Mom has taught me a lot... kind of a perk of having her as a Mom."

"That was very impressive professor, may I ask where you learned how to use such an unconventional weapon so efficiently?"

"Well Weiss, I've had many teachers, The Grimm Reaper, Headmaster Theodore, Rumpole, and Time. Out of all of those, the biggest teacher was time, you spend enough of it doing something, and it'll become as easy as breathing."

Weiss was about to respond but was cut off by the sound of many more bullheads approaching the area, several of which contained police officers. As the Bullheads landed, Aurum greeted the Officers and directed them to the train where they would discover all the terrorists, she also was reminded of something.

"Oh... Blake."

The Faunus in question looked over from her conversation with Yang, "Yes Professor?"

Aurum grimaced, "Adam Taurus was in one of the cars I went to... I'm sorry. I know you were close."

Blake's eyes widened, "You mean?"

Aurum sighed, "I killed him Blake. There was no way he would surrender, and he was too dangerous to try to knock out."

Blake's hands came to cover her mouth as she fought with her emotions, on one hand, her abuser, a terrorist and murderer, was dead; On the other hand, the boy she grew up with, her first love, was gone.

She tried to collect herself, "I-i... I... T-thank you f-for letting m-me know... H-how? I-if I may A-ask?"

Aurum suppressed a grimace, "I Broke his aura, then gave him a chance to surrender, he refused and kept on fighting, I cut his sword in half, then I went for his neck."

Aurum shook her head, "He died fighting, until the end."

Hey, late chapter today, and still a bit small. It seems I just really struggle to get these over 2k, its just really taxing to write that much in one go. But thats just how i get stuff done. Till Monday.
