Hello everyone, here is the next one shot

This is if the fight with Teach had gone differently since he had eaten the fruit.

Hope you enjoy

Read and relax

Ace sighed as he had just shot Teach in the head, panting. That had been a hard battle. Not that Teach was strong in himself, but since he had a devil fruit which ate up his powers. But, he had managed to win, and Teach was dead. He did go over and make sure there was no pulse, that he was really dead. He had hoped to play with Teach, but no, he wouldn't be able to do that. Ace sighed as he looked at his left arm. He was missing his index finger and half his middle finger, Teach having bitten them off. Damn bastard. He brought his good hand to his face, pinching his bleeding nose, which was obviously broken, he could feel it. And he had been pretty banged up in his face, and his left arm wasn't good, it was badly bruised as well, probably his face too.

He checked through Teach's paperwork, before he then went to Shanks' ship, and needed to deal with a worried Shanks, before Benn sent him off and checked him over himself. When he mentioned patching it up, Ace said it was no trouble, he would be heading to The Red Cloud anyhow, and Moira could patch him up. She was better than Benn. He then headed off, and appeared in Daisuke's office, Dust having flown there, and when he appeared, Daisuke lifted an eyebrow, and Ace sighed. "Don't ask." Daisuke nodded. "I won't. Why are you here?" Ace then brought up the fact someone from his guild had sold out information on him and his brother, and it had Daisuke looking serious as he would handle the manner. As that was over, Daisuke looked at him. "And I guess Teach is dead and he did this?" Ace lifted an eyebrow himself. "Didn't I say to not ask?" Daisuke nodded. "I'll take that as a yes. Go find Moira." Ace nodded and did. Thankfully, there weren't many in the base now, but he did run into, someone he wanted to run into, Trevor, who looked shocked at him.

"Oh my God! Bunny!" Ace gave a tired look to Trevor. "What?" Trevor blinked. "What? What what!? You look dying!" Ace rolled his eyes. "It looks worse than what it is." Trevor moved his hands up. "You are missing teeth and fingers! I am allowed to be worried!" Ace waved his good hand. "Well, don't be, I am just heading to the infirmary with Moira." Trevor nodded. "Good, good. You need a check up. Like really." Ace took a breath and looked at Trevor. "Could you just go to them, The Whitebeards, and do the meeting?" Trevor lifted an eyebrow. "Why? You are heading there, since Luffy and Sabo are there." Ace sighed. "I don't like to do meetings injured, you know this." Trevor nodded. "Fine, I can do the meeting. Want me to tell them you're injured." Ace sighed, a hand moving to his nose, giving a small flinch when that wasn't the smartest move and hurt. "They will see anyway, so why not." Trevor nodded. "Cool, cool. Should I head on now?" Ace nodded. "Yeah. I'll head to Moira, after a shower." Trevor nodded. "Good, you need to patch up." Ace nodded, he probably did. He then went through how it had gone with Trevor and what to say, before they said goodbye, Trevor waving his hand. "See ya soon!" Ace rolled his eyes. Trevor was Trevor. He then sent Trevor off, before he headed to take a shower, before he headed to the infirmary, Moira helping him patch up as he was still missing a finger and half on one hand. It would be fine in a few days, he just needed some rest.

Whitebeard sat in the infirmary, waiting for news from Ace about how it had gone, who should be back soon. The time he had said was moving by quickly. As the clock was nearing noon, there was suddenly a cloud of black smoke next to Sabo, and Whitebeard was prepared to see Ace, but when the smoke faded, he was met with a stranger. A man in his mid thirties and silver hair, Dust on his shoulders. Before the captain could speak, Sabo did. "Oh no, Trevor, please tell me he isn't injured." Trevor chuckled. "He'll be fine. Now shoo! Business meeting!" Sabo nodded and took Luffy with him outside, and when the door closed, the man, most likely Trevor based on Sabo, turned to him. "Ace got into a bad fight with the target and is a bit worse for wear, and he doesn't do meeting injured, so I'm here to take that." Whitebeard nodded. "How bad is it?" Trevor shook his head. "Not important."

The man then took a breath, standing more straight. "To the topic at hand, the kill went almost okay. The target got the upper hand for a few seconds, but Ace managed to shoot him in the head. He was therefore not tortured or kept alive, and we hope this is fine. He had eaten the fruit, how he got the upper hand. But all is fine. Any questions?" Whitebeard had many, and as he was about to voice one, Trevor continued. "And none about how Ace is and how he got injured." That took away many of the questions. "Had he eaten the fruit?" Trevor nodded. "He had. One of the reasons Ace got beat up. I just said that." The man probably had, it was just a lot to take in, seeing how Ace had gotten injured. "But he is dead?" Trevor nodded. "He is, Ace made sure he was. There is no way he is alive." That was good. "How did he get information on Luffy and Sabo?" Trevor shook his head. "Ace is handling it." He guessed that was all he would get out of the man about that topic. "I don't think we have much more questions." Trevor nodded. "Good. Now, Ace will come in a bit, he will just get something for his pains." Maybe they should have Bay check Ace? Ace was injured. He would see when the assassin came and take it from there.

As the meeting was over, Luffy and Sabo were let inside again, Sabo asking Trevor how bad it was, and Trevor just waved his hand, saying it could have been worse. When Ace appeared an hour later, Whitebeard felt his eyes go big. He expected Ace to be a bit injured, but not like this. His entire face was bruised, his nose obviously having been broken, cuts on his left eye and lip, left eye swollen badly. His left arm was in a cast, the fingers he could see were badly discolored, but what had him more worried, was how he was missing his index finger, and half his middle finger. Had Teach managed all that himself? As Ace was there, Sabo let out a sigh. "You look horrible." Ace snorted. "You should have seen it before I got washed up. Trevor thought I was dying." Whitebeard blinked when Ace spoke. He was missing a bunch of teeth too. Trevor moved a hand up. "Oi! You looked horrible!" Ace just waved his good arm at him. Sabo then moved closer to Ace, a hand moving to his face and checking the damage over. "How did he even manage this?" Ace shrugged. "Devil fruit. Strong one. I'll be fine." Ace then looked at Trevor. "Now, thanks for your help, I'll see you later." Trevor moved a hand to his head, giving a goodbye, before Dust landed on his shoulder and he was gone in black smoke. As he was gone, Ace looked at him. "I hope he covered everything?" The captain nodded, making Ace seem glad as he nodded himself. "Good, good. Now, Sabo, we need to speak." Sabo nodded and the two headed out, probably heading to the bedroom Luffy and Sabo had gotten.

They were gone for an hour, before Sabo returned alone, and said Ace was resting. Which was good. Ace needed the rest, it looked to have been a bad battle. Ave was gone for 3 hours, before he showed up again, and Whitebeard felt bad that Ace had gotten injured. But he was also glad in a way, that he had sent Ace after the man and not tried to handle this himself. The devil fruit Teach had taken must have been a strong one. He was sure if he had handled it himself, he was sure he would have lost at least a family member. Ace was stronger than all of them and had gotten this injured. Everyone seemed to feel bad as well, which he got. Ace seemed… unstoppable, and even Whitebeard had thought Ace was, well, inhuman as he was so strong, but this proved he wasn't. He felt bad for believing Ace wasn't human. He would see if Ace was awake tonight, so he could speak with the assassin.

The rest of the day went by fine.

Whitebeard moved out on deck, glad to see Ace there, and headed over. "Hello, Ace." Ace gave a nod to him, eyes closed as he enjoyed a gust of wind. When it was over, Ace opened his eyes and the captain spoke. "I am sorry you got injured." Ace shook his head. "No, it's fine. I will be fine." Whitebeard frowned. "Will you? You look horrible, you've lost teeth and fingers even." Ace chuckled. "And it will be fine, I promise. I just need some time." Whitebeard hummed. "I don't get that, but fine. If you say so." He was then about to say he felt bad for thinking he wasn't human, and Ace shook his head before he could speak. "It's fine, everyone thinks I'm inhuman." Whitebeard nodded, accepting that. He stood out with Ace for a few hours, before Ace headed inside.

When Ace came out the next day and spoke, Whitebeard had to blink. He had all his teeth. How was that possible? He had been missing at least 5. But now, he seemed fine. Maybe they were dentures, that could be. He would try and ask Ace later tonight if he was out. He had a feeling Ace slept with little or during the day, since he usually worked nights. And the day did go by fine, nothing special happening.

When evening came, Whitebeard walked out on deck, moving to stand beside Ace by the railing. "Good evening, Ace." Ace gave a nod, eyes closed. "Good evening." Whitebeard let out a hum. "I wonder, how are your teeth fine?" Ace gave a small chuckle. "A secret." Whitebeard nodded, sure he wouldn't get more than that. He then moved to look at Ace's left hand, and, even though it might be in his head, it looked better. His fingers looked more normal, as if they had started to grow back again. It was bizarre, and he wondered how, but he was sure Ace wouldn't answer how, just say 'a secret', which he got. Ace wasn't one to give away information. The evening went by fine, Ace staying with him for some hours, before he headed inside.

The kids then headed on the next day, but would most likely return in a few days, after speaking with Rayleigh. He hoped Ace would decide to join them as his brothers trained.

But, when the kids returned a few days later, Ace was completely fine. No bruises, and all his fingers were there. It was amazing to see, and when someone asked about it, Ace either said 'secret', or 'magic'. Ace must either have reattached them, or have some sort of healing powers. He hoped he would get to know more about it.

And that's the one shot, hope you enjoyed
