Spirit stumbled then he was slashed several more times by Moon before he managed to parry a slash. Moon slashed at Spirit again but Spirit dodged it then he punched Moon in the chest. Moon grunted then he dodged two punches before slashing Spirit seven more times then kicked him in the chest.

Spirit tumbled backwards then he said,"What the heck is with you?"

"Nothing much, I just don't like useless people.",Moon said while nearing Spirit. He was about to slash him but Gravity used a pulse of gravity to make Moon fly backwards, with him sliding backwards.

"Ren, what is wrong with you?!",Gravity asked in frustration.

"Nothing is wrong with me. I don't know this guy and he's clearly useless. So, I'm taking him out.",Moon said rather coldly. He then ran at Spirit, who got to his feet and readied himself. Gravity got in between the two and said,"Ren, stop!"

Moon stopped, then he groaned in frustration before saying,"Why are you protecting this guy Vicky?"

"Because he's a friend of mine and I don't like seeing you, my brother, randomly beating him up.",Gravity said angrily. Spirit looked at both Gravity and Moon, being stunned by all the events.

Moon looked at Gravity then he sighed before saying,"Fine, he can leave today. If I find him on his own though, I won't be so nice."

Moon then walked away from Gravity and Spirit as the two reverted to their civilian forms. Daiji held his chest and winced while Vicky looked at him saying,"You gonna be okay?"

"Yeah I should be. What's up with your brother?",Daiji asked while rubbing his chest.

"I don't know. I mean he's always been a confrontational/skeptical person when it comes to meeting new people but this is a first for him.",Vicky said with some disbelief. She then noticed how Daiji's knuckles were bleeding heavily and she said,"Your knuckles are bleeding."

Daiji noticed his knuckles,"Oh crap. Must've been from when I punched that monster."

Vicky chuckled then she said,"My apartment isn't too far from here. Come on and I'll get you patched up."

Vicky and Daiji began walking down the street, just as emergency services were beginning to arrive.

Somewhere else in the city, Shun and Kai were sitting in front of one another. Shun was thinking then he said,"Do you know how to smile, Kai-chan?"

Kai shook his head. Shun frowned for a bit then he said,"Just watch me and repeat it."

Shun smiled then said,"Now your turn."

Kai tried to smile but he could barely get his mouth into a grin. Shun put his hands on Kai's face and moved his mouth into a smile while saying,"Like this."

Shun took his hands away and Kai's face went back to it's apathetic expression. Shun's head dropped, then he lifted his head and said in an almost whiny fashion,"Ah, I'm sorry Kai-chan. I wish I could get your emotions to come out faster."

"It's okay, I don't expect this to happen instantly."Kai said, looking at Shun. He then took Shun's hand and held it. Shun raised an eyebrow at this and Kai said,"Your hands feel nice."

Shun gained a small smile as he said,"Thank you."

"You also are very pretty and have a nice smile.",Kai bluntly said. Shun blushed then he said with a nervous and smitten tone,"Thank you, Kai-chan."

Shun and Kai then continued to talk to one another, holding hands the entire time.

Back with Daiji, he was now in Vicky's apartment with Vicky cleaning his knuckles and wrapping bandages around them. Daiji winced slightly then he said,"Have you done this before?"

Vicky nodded while saying,"I've had to do this many times to both myself and Ren. Got good at it after a while."

Daiji chuckled,"You and Ren got in a lot of fights with rock monsters?"

Vicky smirked then she said,"Not rock monsters, but a fair amount of people."

Vicky then finished wrapping Daiji's hand and he thanked her while flexing his hand. Vicky began putting her first aid supplies away while also saying apologetically,"Sorry about my brother by the way. I seriously have no clue why he attacked you like that."

"Eh no need for you to apologize, not your fault he did that. I wouldn't be surprised if he's just doing what that voice advised us to do.",Daiji said.

"Voice advised us to do what?",Vicky questioned.

"You don't know?",Daiji questioned. Vicky shook her head in response.

"The voice that was in that room we all were in said that our opponents aren't predetermined and that any of the avatars can be either friend or foe.",Daiji explained.

Vicky gained a surprised look and she sat back in her seat while saying,"Dios mio, that means that we could all be fighting each other and monsters."

Daiji nodded then he rested his arms on his knees while saying,"Luckily, I've met two friends; Shun and Kai. Plus we met each other and I presume we're friends."

"We are dude. But that means that Ren is your enemy and it leaves three other avatars that we don't know about left.",Vicky said while adjusting her hat. "Which is a problem in itself."

"How is that a problem?",Daiji asked.

"It's a problem 'cause it means that there are three unknown avatars that could be trying to take us all out. We don't know their powers and if they happen to team up then we're screwed.",Vicky explained. Daiji gained a worried expression then he stood up and said,"We have to go to Kai and Shun."

"Why do we… Oh yeah, they need to know this stuff.",Vicky said while standing up. She and Daiji ran to the door, hurriedly putting their shoes on and exiting the apartment.

Back with Shun and Kai, the two were walking past a playground, still holding hands. Kai stopped and looked at the kids playing on the playground. Shun looked at the kids and smiled before saying,"Do you like being around children Kai-chan?"

"Ie, I just like to watch them play and see if I can learn from them.",Kai said.

"Learn from them?"

"Yes. Children show their emotions a lot more than adults do. Especially when they're playing with one another.",Kai explained, his eyes never leaving the kids. Shun began to contemplate on what Kai said, never truly thinking about it till that moment. He then looked up at Kai's face to see a tear come down his cheek while he still looked at the kids. Shun reached up to wipe the tear from Kai's face. Kai moved into Shun's touch and closed his eyes while letting out a relieved breath.

Shun and Kai then looked into each other's eyes for many moments until Shun's phone began ringing. Shun apologized while taking out his phone and answering it,"Moshi moshi?"

"Shun, where are you and Kai?",Daiji urgently asked from the other side of the phone.

Shun looked around and then he said,"We're near Kogai park."

"Stay there, Vicky and I are on the way.",Daiji said before hanging up.

"Eh? Daiji-kun?"Shun questioned. He then looked at his phone while Kai asked,"What did Daiji want?"

"He just wanted to know where we were. He said that he and Vicky-chan are coming to meet us.",Shun said with suspicion. Kai nodded then he glanced back at the children playing and he sighed.

Minutes later, Vicky and Daiji were now with Shun and Kai all four having gone to a nearby picnic table to sit down. Shun and Kai nodded then Shun said,"Three more avatars are unknown but we have another new one who doesn't like Daiji-kun for some reason."

"And he's my brother btw.",Vicky pointed out.

"How can this person be your brother? You aren't Japanese.",Kai asked bluntly. Shun looked at Kai saying,"Kai-chan, you can't ask things like that so bluntly."

"It's okay, Daiji told me about him and you. I am originally from Canada and grew up there until I was about thirteen and moved here as part of a foreign exchange program. While here, I was with Ren's family and after hearing that I was an orphan they adopted me and I've been living in Japan ever since, hence why I can speak Japanese and am able to understand you guys ",Vicky explained. Kai and Shun nodded, then Shun said,"You are very intriguing Vicky-chan. I could make a beautiful painting from your beauty."

Vicky looked at herself then she looked at Shun with a raised eyebrow,"You sure your eyes work? 'Cause I am not what most would call beautiful."

"Let's get back on topic please.",Daiji insisted.

"Right, so what would you suggest that we do about this predicament?"Shun asked. Daiji thought about it then he said,"Well the only thing I can think of is all us working together and watching each other's backs. Though we obviously can't do this at all hours of the day."

"I could. I don't have a home and I could go to your houses and look on you all.",Kai said.

"You're homeless?",Shun asked, to which Kai nodded in response. Shun took Kai's hand before saying,"Not anymore, you're staying with me. No, you don't have a choice. I won't have my friend sleeping on the street."

Kai nodded saying,"Thank you Shun."

Daiji and Vicky looked at the two then Vicky said to Daiji,"If you want, you could move in with me. I have a spare room and I could use the rent and stuff."

Daiji thought about it then said,"Yeah alright. I was already about to move anyway."

Shun smiled then he said,"I am happy to say that we four are now a team and shall work to uncover the mystery of these games."

Daiji nodded in agreement, Vicky smirked while crossing her arms, Kai nodded. The four then began exchanging contact information and beginning to converse with one another.

Unbeknownst to the three, a figure watched the four from an alley, only having a blue eye showing. It then went into the shadows of the alley, disappearing from sight.
