Welcome back, everyone. Enjoy and review.
Donalbain's Rage
There are many hearts that can feel love or even attraction. One such heart was Donalbain's. As much as it was as dark as night, the fact remained that Donalbain knew what love was. To see Pumyra fall, shot down by Tygra, was enough to destroy any thoughts that Donalbain had of surrender.
Running over to Pumyra, Donalbain lifted her up, saying to her: "Speak to me, Pumyra. Do you heal?"
The Puma could only stare weakly at her companion. She had fallen into the circle of standing stones and her wound was serious. Giving him a weak smile, she opened her mouth only for her entire body to suddenly go limp.
Donalbain stared. This was impossible. Not Pumyra too? First Jaques at Sengann Fortress and now Pumyra here in some nameless spot? This could not be happening!
The eyes of the Herald of Mumm-Ra fell upon the Adoptive Son of Claudus of Thundera. Killer of Pumyra, Unwanted Son of the Tiger Clan, soon he would be buried!
Charging forward with his sword in hand, Donalbain swung at Tygra, only missing due to the tiger's agility. Soon Donalbain found need to dodge, for Gard had hurled his axe at the White Evabon, just narrowly missing Donalbain's nose.
Next came Lion-O, the Failure of Thundera, armed with the Sword of Omens. All Donalbain had to do was grab his opponent by his sword arm and hurl him at one of the standing stones.
Was he dead? What did Donalbain care? The only one he wanted to slay most at the moment was Tygra.
But where was Tygra?
Taking a quick look before Gard charged forward and placed a well-aimed punch into Donalbain's left side, the Herald of Mumm-Ra could see footprints moving throughout the circle of standing stones. Donalbain could almost hear Tygra's thoughts, thinking that Donalbain could not hit what he could not see. But that foolish cat, that arrogant Thunderan, did not take his own footprints into account.
It was a shocked Tygra that found Donalbain's fist, white as the mountain snow, coming for his front. From a single strike, the Tiger went down and quickly found the White Evabon with his foot upon his chest.
With eyes narrowed, Donalbain stared down at the Adoptive Son of Claudus. He fully considered pounding Tygra's skull into dust, but with his location, he could not afford to risk death. Tygra's death would have to wait.
Dashing away, Donalbain picked up Pumyra's body and fled the scene. He would be back and he would be fury incarnate.
